Gattinoni Couture

25. october 2013 Wore it yesterday night and also wearing it today. The first time yesterday i was actually dissapointed with a smell: all i could smell is strong note of tonka bean and a bit of betgamot. Not a big deal. Then later by night, while at home,i think my skin warmed up or this first spray of the new bottle needed time to develope and this scent melted into creamy almondy soft scent. It smells like colour beige indeed, just like the commercial for this fragrance :). Today i'm wearing it as well, and today it smells better. I think due to new bottle and first spray out of it, it needed time to develope. Today the initial spray greeted me still with strong tonka bean accord, now can smell slightest hint of cyclamen in the opening as well (which gives a slightest sour accent to it). But now the almond (soft almond, not agressive one, it's almond flower after all) note quickly starts domnate the scene. It feels like a softest silk on a warm days, it is so tender, an it is not a cold one, just slightly cooling you. The drydown is all about almndy delicate vanilla. This scent needs to grow, to develope. Give it a time and right weather to wear. I do think it is more suitable for warmer early autumn days or summer The sillage is soft, lasting power up to 5hrs. But while i hardly could smell it on myself, the other people complimented me on this soft and delicate aroma. :) P.S. the lid is a silver thimble with a Gattinoni logo, such a cute one, and there is a fabric label of Gattinoni couture is glued to the box :) I just wish they would do something with the square bottle itself, it ́s plain ugly. UPDATE: i think "Gattinoni couture" is a younger sister of "La Perla Eclix". They do share similar notes (almond, vanilla, bergamote, musk) and combination of some notes in "Couture" actually smells remotely familiar with "Eclix": tonka bean is a somewhat repalcement for cocoa in "Eclix", lilly of the valley is a substitute for lotus in "Eclix" and peony-cyclamen is a substitute for black currant in "Eclix" (however i don ́t smell neither much peony-cyclamen in here nor black currant in "Eclix").
