Cosecha Catalana

Cosecha Catalana was launched in November 2022 and its name comes from the Catalan “Collita Catalana” which means, in English, Catalonian Harvest. The creative concept aims to portray the dawn seen on the beautiful Mediterranean coast when it is possible to feel aromatic and herbal nuances highlighted by citrus fruits. For those traveling inland, dry, and woody floral tones tend to attract visitors to the countryside. From there, the perfumer Vincent Kuczinski (Vice President and Senior Perfumer at Mane) worked on a floral-aromatic composition with top notes of bergamot, basil, sage, artemisia, and clementine. For the body, he used floral notes of hyacinth, iris, and geranium, which were combined with the dry and light scent of cedar. For the base, a sweet and warm touch of amber, as well as sandalwood, musk, vetiver, and SantamanolTM, a molecule patented by Mane, which reproduces the smell of sandalwood with more floral nuances, impacting the duration of the fragrance. On the skin, Cosecha Catalana is a delight! A true aromatic and juicy explosion, with a lot of clementine (a hybrid of willow tangerine and sweet orange). As soon as it is sprayed on your skin, you smell the juiciness, but you realize that it is not the scent of bergamot. Furthermore, artemisia and basil bring bitterness and freshness in an herbal and almost spicy way. The evolution is slow and not obvious. It takes a long time for something new to present itself, but the hyacinth does not hide and explodes with its harsh and unique floral scent. I confess that the fight between artemisia, clementine, and hyacinth is great, and it is difficult to notice any presence of the other notes in the body of the fragrance. Then, hours pass and Cosecha Catalana seems to rest on a woody and creamy base. Only tireless sandalwood and a deliciously warm and sensual ambery remain on my skin. The performance is impeccable. The projection and the way Cosecha Catalana exudes is surprising, even though it is a Parfum Extrait with 25% concentration. Even after eight hours, it is still easily noticeable, although closer to the skin. For me, that's another pleasant surprise coming from an off-the-radar brand. Cosecha Catalana has an innovative fragrance that delights perfumery trailblazers with an independent approach.
