Gold Edition

A hot beautiful mess. This is so far the most intriguing scent I have. It has that jasmine and violet background that is disturbed by some citrusy fresh notes. It’s so unique that it smells weird. You can get headaches from smelling that opening... My mom hated it but when it cools down she thought I did put some other perfume. One that is pleasant, unique and just classy. I still don’t know what to think of this perfume but it gave me compliments, so I am keeping it in my collection.

It’s a hung jury so far on Gold Edition by Georges Rech. The bottle is a stunner, looks expensive and beautiful. But I’m stymied by the fragrance as a whole. Fragrantica definitely doesn’t have a complete note / accord listing in this profile. Somewhere right after initial spray and the vanilla-mandarine introduction, a very large amount of a bombastic ozonic-fresh-water accord takes over the entire fragrance to the point of nausea. My stomach and head became instantly queasy & nauseous. 🤢 The listed notes are quite suitable for a lovely Soft fragrance blend but the hidden notes just ruined it for me. This is my 2nd attempt at testing this bottle. I’ll let it set a few days and see if anything changes. If it doesn’t, I’ll have a gorgeous 3.4 oz bottle for sale to a good home.
