Muse Poudrée

Fairies have their vices too. Much like humans, they indulge in certain white powders when the mood calls (at Equinox festivals, Springtime celebrations, the Fairy Monarch's name-day, second marriages and even some funerals...). Their diminutive constitutions and storybook anatomy cannot handle even the homeopathic blends college freshmen cram up their schnozzles on spring break (much less the septum-destroying, unadulterated flake the yuppie wolves of Wall Street were burying their snouts in). No, no... They require much less. In fact, similar to how Santa's Elves get drunk off of dark hot chocolate with extra marshmallows and crushed candy canes, refined SUGAR is what gets pixies going. Unlike Elves however, Fairies are deathly allergic to caffeine and much more susceptible to coma-inducing hyperglycemia. In order to get their mellow fix, they harvest chalky violet candies from the pockets of hung up coats or the bottom of purses, and process them into a fine powder to then roll around in. The scent that wafts from the pucks and sprites, as they fly around post bender, is Muse Poudrée: dimmed fairy dust and sooty violet candies.

Feminine, sweet, powdery fragrance. Sugary violets crossed with a powder puff crossed with soft musky vanilla essence. Very pleasant! Good on its own or as a layering fragrance - I actually used it with Chanel No.5 with nice results. Rather synthetic on initial spray but settles into a warm cloud of pink sweetness. Price very hard to beat, at 100ml for 12.95. The simple, frosted bottle itself is nicer than many of my more expensive scents imo! This, to me, is a cross between Trussardi My Name and Pink Sugar. Less refined then MN, and more rounded and less cloying than PS. I'm surprised, given the price, that this isn't more popular than it is. A good blind buy, recommend.

First of all, I can definitely smell the violet here and I like it. This is the first perfume I own with so prominent violet note. I have nothing against it. But this perfume is weird on me. I mean in a good way. All I can think of is some kind of hair product. Hairspray or something. Maybe it's just my nose. And unexpectedly I enjoy this weirdness. Good blind buy and so, so inexpensive (8 euros here in my country).

Nighttime cozy fragrance. Flowery vanilla powder. Could be a Lalique perfume.

Too synthetic, yet too powdery and feminine! The smell of a plastic🧚♀️

Non existent on skin. You smell it for 10 seconds and pff gone with the wind. I was hoping that this was just like Chantilly heavily powdery and long lasting with good projection. But again a very weak body mist like juice. It's not worthy the name perfume. In the bin. 😖

I bought this one years ago, because I loved those notes, the price, and the powdery aspect. But there is something discordant in the blend, disturbing me. The violet gives a kind of acidic addition to the vanilla musky base. They just can’t mix together. I keep trying from time to time, but no love story yet. It makes me feel nauseous ;

This is awful on me. AWFUL. Reading the reviews, I though it was something similar to Insolence... NO WAY. On me, it's all about star anice, vetiver, woody notes and patchouli. Maybe it's only my odd, odd skin... But I guest I should stop blind buying scents... 😢

A beautiful powdery finish, very similar to Trussardi My Name. If you have this perfume in your collection, I would say that they are redundant. This one has a better price tag but the Trussardi has a very original bottle that is difficult to resist and better projection and duration. It is a fragrance that smells like powdery lilacs with a base of vanilla and musk. On my skin its projection is moderate and its duration is about 4 hours. Scent 7.5/10 Duration 4/10 Sillage 6.5/10 Quality/price 7/10 Versatility 6.5/10 Packaging 5/10 Would I buy again? No
