Heavenly Wood

I'd thought I'll leave an update. This is an amazing fragrance but you need to like patchouli. Patchouli is definitely noticeable throughout. It's very long lasting and that's been consistent. I wanted to update my score on projection though. I've always had trouble smelling this fragrance in the air after about 2 to 3 hours. Apparently I've been going noseblind because I did receive an unsolicited compliment, 9 hours after spraying! So take that into account when spraying this. I also only spray skin...so that wasn't scent on fabric, that was fragrance burning off skin for 9 hours. This was an amazing find for sub $40! I also have Guaiac, which is lavender dominant surrounded by this powdery woody Guaiac wood and slight amber in the base. That fragrance is a 7 out of 10 for me. This fragrance is a 9.5 out of 10. Excellent woody, boozy, Patchouli, vanilla scent!

I just got this in the mail yesterday. I'm gonna need to spend some time with this one. I like the smell a lot. Very woody, boozy, and powdery. Didn't have the timeframe to test longevity yet. The woodiness reminds me of By the Fireplace a bit..just slightly as if they're 3rd cousins. The woods aren't burning but they are pretty warm. Will return with an update in about a week or so. First Gerini purchase. Update: 1/17/2026: I felt I at least needed to update the longevity. Very long lasting. 10 hours+. Sillage is more intimate though and with this profile, that probably fits best.

The fragrance opens with nutmeg, adding a warm and spicy touch. As it develops, the heart notes of patchouli and rum emerge, giving it a mysterious and slightly sweet character. Finally, the base notes of Brazilian rosewood and cedar create a deep, woody finish with impressive longevity and sillage. This perfume is an excellent choice for colder seasons and formal occasions.

My late uncle used to wear Kenzo Jungle, and it was one of the most beautiful fragrances. But it was discontinued, and its alternative was Cerruti 1881 Bella Notte. When I smelled this scent, it took me back to the past and reminded me of my uncle and his unique presence. However, I don’t see Kenzo or Cerruti listed among the fragrances that are similar to this perfume. ♥
