Blue Velvet

Blue Velvet is a 1986 American neo-noir mystery thriller film written and directed by David Lynch. But this Blue Velvet from Saphire collection conitinue to "blue-w" my mind !! Okay, I'll be fair. This can be interpreted as a safe link between proven and guaranteed (safe) ingredients that, in combination, work a little miracle. It is golden saffron and rose, of course, plus oud, sandalwood and clove. Here, clove fits brilliantly into this composition, and I would say that because clove + sandalwood = bingo! A winning combination, even if we take into account the fact that we have a trace of patchouli? And musk? No need to add anything further :) It's a matter of balance here and how everything is very carefully measured by the virtuoso Jordi Fernandez. Again, we have something familiar here, but done so imaginatively and differently and at a really high level. Likeable, pleasant, mild, enticing and very seductive. I see autumn and winter as his playground, but it can also pass as a spring scent. I wouldn't recommend it for the summer though, maybe because of that mild drinkable animality of oud and clove. This oud is light, slightly sweet (moderately very moderately) as it should be. And I think that Blue Velvet should be worn in the evening as an evening fragrance. A scent for an intimate dinner for two, an evening full of passion and warmth.. I can already feel it on my neck when I wear a sweater during rainy autumn or winter. Yes, that's the vibe that goes through my mind while I'm already enjoying it. The scent is luxuriously warm and definitely clean unisex. Both sexes can wear it. Intense upon opening, but give it a few minutes to come into its own. You will enjoy it. He is not as dark as I thought, but he is still cheerfully seductive and there is something about him that attracts me for more. Blue Velvet is just one velvety soft warm fragrance crowned with a rich composition. Well done once again for Ggema, you have performed another small miracle :) My second personal favorite after Duke perfume. I recommend this with good intentions. p.s. As a fan of Jordi Fernandez's creations, I took into account that I like his work, but I am strict and I don't like to generalize and put a sign on who worked. Smell is important to me, but what if I also know that the perfume was created by one of today's most famous perfumers? The opening and mid smell like Oud Maracuja; the dry down, like Side Effect. Not quite as potent as either, but what is, really. It's still very good. A successful blind buy for me, since I'd never even heard of this perfume house before.
