Keep Dreaming

The raspberry & magnolia are clear immediately and last thoughout the weartime. I had initially assumed that a fragrance with scent notes selected by younger children would be heavy on fruity notes, but other than the raspberry, the only fruits I can detect are subtle hints of the mandarin and/or peach on & off for the first hour or so. The heart of Keep Dreaming is based around vanilla & cream (ice cream), which is complimented wonderfully by the sugared raspberry, creamy orange blossom, jasmine & gardenia. The lactonic overtone gradually merges with the longwearing magnolia & sandalwood. I get a vaguely nutty & chocolaty undertone in the base too, so possibly some praline? The longevity and projection are both really great for a perfume that is regularly on special offer, so I'm very happy with my purchase & I have a backup bottle ready to go too. I personally don't think that Keep Dreaming is overly artificial and feel good wearing it at 41 - heck, I bought a bottle as a birthday gift for someone in their 60s and they confidently wear it.

One hesitates to criticise a charity offering designed partly by sick children, so I guess I'm the wicked witch of fragrantica being here at all.. but this is v synthetic smelling. 10 mins in & I almost washed it off. Having said that it does get better, the plasticky opening softens into a v sweet, sticky fruitchouli, with amazing longevity considering how cheap this is. Although it does also smell a bit cheap.. Its an ok tweenage/teenage fragrance gift type of scent, & given that it was partly designed by kids, it was bound to smell like a combination between fruity shampoo & slightly synthy jam. Not great but 'it's for charidy mate', as Smashy n Nicey used to say.

Fragrantica please update your database. There are another 2 flankers of this series that you still don't have on here. Anyways, I had to have this to go with my other 6 and although it's quite a pleasant inoffensive scent, it is quite young and immature. I agree as it does smell a bit artificial but I do get the raspberry and it lasts quite well on my skin which is surprising.
