Orb of Night Elixir

brought as a long term fan of cherry fragrances and it genuinely ticks all the boxes for me. to me it smells like someone who’s obsessed with lost cherry dupes sprayed them all after using up all a fancy hotels free soap and shampoo samples. it’s honestly a decent performing elixir, especially for the price and even though the longevity isn’t the best it’s definitely a fragrance that lingers slightly. its a non-sugary, dark, syrupy cherry scent (not everyones cup of tea but mine) with a fresh blossom smell thats aldehydic in an “expensive hand soap” way, very surprising for such a budget friendly fragrance. will definitely be buying a bigger bottle

This is truly lovely - like Orb of Night but deeper, more vanilla-y, sweeter, more delicious. I’ve got a sample bottle but it will translate to a full bottle in future. It’s not the longest lasting or loudest perfume but it’s absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to wear it. Edit: bought a full bottle. Zero regrets. Edit: bought a second full bottle. Absolutely zero regrets.

Love this scent, and I just experienced a magical moment, am epiphany you might call it, that this has something or other akin to the scent of KENZO AMOUR. I have a horrifying love/hate relationship with Kenzo Amour. That is, I LOVE it and it HATES me. I kinda stockpiled it at some point because I was convinced I needed it so BADLY and would wear it FOREVER. But it turned on me, fiercely so. It doesn't suit my skin. I digress though, given that this is a page for ORB OF NIGHT ELIXIR. I love love love Orb of Night ORIGINAL. I also love love love Orb of Night reformulation. Now I love love love Orb of Night Elixir, because it vaguely, in a round about kinda way, puts me in mind if my beloved KENZO AMOUR. While Kenzo Amour turns sour on my skin, this is rich and enveloping as it develops. It's not so dissimilar to the new formulation of Orb of Night, but there's enough of a difference to discern well enough. It's more vanillic, for one - possibly giving way to my mind wandering.... I recommend GHOST fragrances, they don't cost the earth but they smell fab to me. This one is such a chewy fruity vanilla with warm and gentle woods.

Not at all as sweet as I'd thought. Cherry is here, but not jammy nor sweet rather fruity like in the long discontinued Delices de Cartier. Vanilla just highlights the aspect of creamy santal. Beautiful. Actually if anyone misses DELICES DE CARTIER, this is a good replacement.
