Sweet Dream

One of the few scent notes that I knew would be in Sweet Dream was strawberry, but initially the thing that grabs my attention is the sweet orange and cassis which will calm down yet still be essential for keeping the emerging, longwearing sugared strawberry & marshmallow from becoming overwhelming as the fragrance continues to develop. When it comes to the floral heart the jammy strawberry-lead berry blend becomes the focus, so I'm only confident about the listed two as ones I can separate - the jasmine and peony, like the other two fragrances in this collection. I will guess at orange blossom and freesia in the undertone. There are wafts of something caramelised happening as the marshmallow, almond milk and amber combine, over a bed of cashmeran and cedarwood. Sweet Dream has the best weartime for this collection; the longevity is somewhere within the 6/7 hour range, and the projection is somewhere between soft and moderate, although Sweet Dream is notable for not being quite as soft as the other two fragrances, and for sticking around a bit longer. Nothing truly special going on, but still good for such an affordable edp.

I thought this would be my least favourite of the 3 new Dreams, but actually I like it the most 🍓 It’s sweet in a sexy way and the woody note keeps it from being juvenile. Cream and almond come in to play and it’s just lovely.

This is a very sweet gourmand fragrance, if that is your vibe, then you will likely enjoy this. I am ordinarily not a fan of overly sweet gourmand fragrances as they just don't do much for me, but I do like this alot. The strawberry jam is so juicy and edible. The almond milk is very noticeable and it is this note that immediately made me think of another Ghost fragrance "Orb of Night" The Almond milk note is definitely the same in both....whereas in Orb of Night, the Cherry is the fruit of choice, and this fragrance has the strawberry, which makes it a spring/summer suitable gourmand. The marshmallow certainly sweetens this composition up somewhat....but it's a pleasant sweetness. For me personally, I will mostly wear this in the autumn and wintertime (possibly cooler spring days) If you do like "Orb of Night" and you like a strawberry note, I think you can't go too far wrong with this. Very decent lasting power and noticeable sillage.

It reminds me in some ways of Givenchy L'Interdit Tubéreuse Noire, that same smooth, creamy, heady tuberose note is present here too but it's more juvenile, it's got that super dose of artificial sweetness, probably the marshmallow accord/notes, on a cosy woody, ambery musky base from the cashmeran. I do get a slight gourmand twist in the dry down, a really smooth powdery and nutty note, presumably the almond, similar to the sticky sweet pastry type of note in Girl of Now. Edited: ok in the deep dry down, the florals have disappeared and it's a very powdery, sweet, creamy, nutty, vanillic scent.

I blind bought it :) of course I did. During the testing I was thinking, this is so familiar, floral marshmallow smells very similar on me. But then Ghost mellows down a lot more than Dossier. I can smell a ghost of Ghost orb of the night ;) too, someone mentioned it reminds them of prada paradox, maybe in a way but a lot lighter and softer, this is not a dupe but any means. It’s ok but will require reapplication during the day and it’s maybe just a bit more than a skin scent. It’s cheap though so can generously apply.

Ghost used to make interesting and sophisticated floral blends. Now they churn out candy flavoured water one after another. With this momentum the ghost fragrance world will become.... A ghost.
