Sweetheart

Looking at the notes, I am totally surprised because I don’t get any of them except for white florals. I actually thought there was iris in there because it’s powdery. I don’t get any pineapple. I assume the clean smell may come from the mint, but I also cannot pick this out. It does smell grounded, hence the woodsy notes. In general, it’s very girly, very young smelling. It makes me feel cosy so I’d probably wear it more in autumn. I’m probably too old to be wearing it but it really is inoffensive. It’s like a mature version of Snow Fairy (which I wouldn’t wear at my age). And the price point is really good too! Edit: ok, so the actual notes of this perfume are: sweet lemon, spearmint and pineapple, blending with a heart of rose, muguet, jasmine and heliotrope, rounded off with a base of caramel, Tonka bean, amber and vanilla. Hence, I could smell powdery heliotrope. The fresheness I could smell was the spearmint but the depth was the Tonka and amber. I don’t know how Fragrantica have gotten it so wrong. I thought it smelled different 😂

I think SWEETHEART would make a lovely, soft, feminine, day-to-day fragrance. It applies with sweet (but non-cloying) fruits, prevented from being syrupy by light green notes. SWEETHEART soon settles into delicate florals, with a slightly powdery drydown. I like SWEETHEART so much as it’s something you can enjoy, without the whole office also getting a big whiff of it! If you enjoy Can Can. then you need to give this a try. As SWEETHEART is close to the skin, the good staying power isn’t great. I really appreciate that there is spice-infused [maybe nutmeg?] mint among the light hints of sweetened citrus, powdery rose and vanilla here - it keeps the fragrance fresh & non- cloying, and a bit more unique than the average fruity/floral. The floral heart of Sweetheart is where my love for this fragrance originates; it smells exactly like Philosophy Amazing Grace on me, so clean and pure. I nlove the fresh-clean-warm sensation. The base is woody/musk blend, with a warm caramel. There also seems to be some praline, or something else nutty, in the mix too.

Well I tried this on the off chance the other day......I sprayed some on my wrist and continued to shop. On my way home in the car I kept smelling this lovely soft, velvety scent but with a bit of a twist at the end. I ended up driving back to the shop to purchase a bottle and I must say that I havn't regretted it one bit. It's one of the few perfumes that I tirelessly reach for. I know scent smell different on some people but this one smells beautiful on me. I recommend you give it a spray and wait for the dry down.....it's lovely.

I adore this perfume and it is my favourite of all the Ghost ones. It is warm, sweet and nutty. I can't get enough of it. I do wish the bottle was nicer, I like the way it is frosted though. I put a bottle of this in my handbag once and the lid came off without me knowing and somehow most of the liquid ended up in my bag. Bad design on the lid. Still incredibly beautiful though, I just wish it was a little bit more punchy.

Smells like a delectable assortment of fine patisserie offerings fused with powdery rose with the vanilla coming through gently, accompanied by a warm subtle spice. Great projection, sillage and longevity. It’s not cloying in its sweetness and it’s ‘deceptively simple’ opening notes give way to a warm, enveloping more complex scent that reminds of balmy summer evenings sitting outside a trattoria soaking up the sun.

Such a soft fragrance. I'm pretty sure as others have already said, that the listed notes on here are incorrect. I'm not getting any pineapple, lemon, peppermint. To me it's almost like a powdery floral scent. Kinda giving ''girl next door'' vibes! Because it's so gentle, the projection isn't very strong however for the price you really can't complain :)

Easy to wear, girly, sweet, floral but warm. Would not understand how anybody would not like it. I tried it and found it incredibly sexy. Very well priced, doesn’t really last that long but happy to reapply. Medium projection. Really works well with my chemistry and it get enhanced by wearing it directly in my skin.

This smells, to me, like a light, summery version of Paloma Picasso Tentations. That is winter and warm spiced booze, this is summer and lightly spiced punch but still the same family.

This is a lovely, sweet, light vanilla-y fragrance which i think is suited to summer months. It reminds me of caramel and vanilla and cookies and cakes. Mmmm

This blooms with time give it 1 hour it will give you its true colors, a gorgeous caramel smelling perfume its stunning .

I THINK THAT THE INFO PEEPS AT FRANTGRANTICA HAS GOT THE NOTES DESCRIPTUON CONFUSED WITH Sweetheart Forever! The actual original SWEETHEART bu Ghost which came out in 2008 is NOT a Foral-oriental or woddsy anything! Its is a FRUITY -FLORAL , with an soft creamy Vanilla benzion drydown. No qonder ao much confusion on peeps reviews and it doesnt help that the Sweetheart Forever bottle is almost identical, save it has Written "FOREVER " in smaller type under the main heading SWEETHEART. So pleiple who never saw or heard of the original from 2008 will think its same. It definitely is not and original is totally different scent profile. No woods at alls. There is even an article on Fragrantica here discussing the 2 different profiles. So whomever qrites the pyramids for the scent need to totally revise this and then peeps can disciver there are 2 and they are very different. THIS, original 2008 Sweetheart can be worn in spring summer and is a light fruity almost citrus opening a floral mid and a nuzzling creamy floral traced vanilla almost slight gourmand dry down. Low silage, long lasting dry down though in the heat.

This was a complete blind buy I made a couple of years ago, and it took me until now to finish the bottle. I like this fragrance a lot, I find it very warm and comforting due to the woody notes and I find it very feminine at the same time. I think it's just so cute! I feel like it might feel a bit suffocating or sticky in very hot or humid weather, but I found it perfect for mid/late autumn - early winter. My only beef is that the longevity is basically non-existent and it makes me very sad. I tend to learn towards purchasing EDPs instead of EDTs for that reason, since I think it's a little bit more economical if I'm not having to reapply them every 2 hours. I am considering re-purchasing this scent as there are usually some good deals on this fragrance (I wouldn't buy it full price) but whenever I think about the poor longevity I change my mind and then the cycle repeats.

I received this perfume as a birthday gift last year, and wore it almost every day throughout the spring and summer months. It is a very soft, light fragrance, but other than that rather difficult to describe... There is a definite sweetness to this perfume, and there is something very comforting about it. I think it would be best placed in the floral category, although I am not usually a fan of floral scents - I think I enjoy this one very much due to its softness, as there is nothing overbearing about it at all which I often find a problem with floral fragrances. I am in my early 20s and since I started wearing Sweetheart my mother and my grandmother have each purchased a bottle for themselves, which I think reflects how versatile this perfume is. I think this is quite a difficult fragrance to dislike, whatever your age or usual taste in perfume.

I remember serving a lady who had just sprayed this perfume on her before she entered the store I was working in. She came up to the tills and I got this incredible blast of warm, sweet vanilla which reminded me of a sugary bakery. I scanned her items then blurted out "Wow, what perfume are you wearing? It smells amazing" to which she replied it was Ghost Sweetheart. I ran to Boots and purchased a 30ml bottle, sprayed it on my wrists and clothes and prepared for that bakery smell to engulf me. Sadly, all I got was a bland, sweet flowery smell, no warmth or vanilla at all :( Moral of the tale: ALWAYS test before you buy!

To me this is musky + lactonic ... that's all folks! The musk is one of those I can actually perceive palpably - maybe it's just obliterating everything else. That doesn't mean I don't like it - it's nice rendering of its theme. And it has good projection: from a little spritz on-hand I get whiffs quite strong is if from nowhere as I'm going about stuff. I'm just surprised anyone says there's ought else in it. If I'd known in advance it had mint in it I would never have let it come anywhere near me. Has it really got all that other stuff in it?

Honestly, after reading the reviews this was much nicer than I expected. Fresh, tropical fruits that don't lean too sweet, a hint of mint, anchored with some very subtle white flowers (I don't get any rose) and a big hit of nice woodiness from the sandalwood and vetiver presumably. I don't get too much vanilla too, this doesn't lean gourmand for me. I've smelled better woody perfumes as they're my go-to, however I wouldn't be against receiving a bottle of this as a gift, I'd probably use it as a work perfume. A firm "like".

got a sample of this and put it on yesterday for bedtime. it opens sweet and crisp, like frozen strawberries, then it becomes warmer, little powdery, still sweet and the vanilla base is niiiice. the scent is quite linear, simple but nice. it smells very natural sweet, nothing artificial or synthetic in this, what is a really good point. today in the morning i can still smell it on me... so its lasting power is rather good ! i think this is a nice frag for young romantic woman.

I bought this for my wife. Starts fresh then turns to a lovely soft vanilla and caramel scent. A gentle fragrance that doesn't scream out it presence but gives a lovely scent bubble around the wearer. The above fragrance notes aren't quite right. Ghost list them as: Top notes Spearmint, Green notes, Lemon, Pineapple Heart notes Rose, Jasmine, Heliotrope, Lily of the Valley Base notes Amber-like notes, Sandalwood, Tonka bean, Vanilla, Vetiver, Oakmoss, Patchouli, Caramel.

When I liked it, it made me feel like a fairy, but I got sick of it after 3-6 months.

Short story: Received it as a gift, tried to wear it twice, gave it away. Long story: When I tried it, I felt like a high schooler who picked the cheapest fragrance at the drugstore for 5 bucks. I'm 32 and I literally was ashamed to walk down the street while I was wearing this fragrance. Don't get me wrong, I like cheap fragrances if they don't smell cheap and boring. But this one does. In addition, it has a masculine vibe that I can't stand. Longevity is quite good as I could barely wash it off. No offence please, fortunately we are all different with unique tastes. It's just not a safe blind buy or a gift idea.

I hate it :( Got it as a gift and tried to like it, it was a bit far from my comfort zone but I tried my hardest to like it because it came with those little mini-sized purse bottles... I can't smell the sweetness AT ALL. To me this almost smells masculine. I wish it smelled more like the promo photos... How I WISH I was able to sniff the caramel in this.

I totally agree with dness92, all i get is a masculine note which almost screeches at me! Don't get me wrong, i love masculine scents, and think many 'male' scents are better suited to women, but this is just a confused mess. Gave me a headache. I'm sticking to the original Ghost.

This simply smells of caramelised sugar to me on anyone who wears it. Very cloying, I was given it because my brothers ex girlfriend didn't like it. I could quickly see why as i gave it away just as quick. I really don't see anything good in this as a fragrance, no appeal.

Delicious! Also nostalgic because it smells like a precious face powder my mum and sisters used to wear when I was little, it was a square box of pressed powder from the far east of the exact same color as the packaging on Sweetheart. A fitting name! I simply cannot imagine any one with a nasty bone wearing this, it is pure innocence and sweetness. I must agree with many of the other reviews that mention cakes and sugar, imagine walking into a bakery having just had a late afternoon shower just as the sky is about to turn gold. Imagine being greeted with a smile by a sweet elderly who was just bringing out the freshly baked cupcakes and cookies as you walk through the door and the freshly showered clean smell you brought in becomes one with the warm and comforting sweet smell of the bakery. Both yourself and the bakery I imagine will be left smelling a bit like sweet heart! :) Careful not to use more than a few sprays during summer. It is very potent and it projects beautifully meaning be cautious during warm weather.

Sweetheart reminds me very much Armani Pour Elle. It is a nice winter/evening fragrance. It is quite unique from beginning till dry down, not too sweet, charming oriental juice with a tiny hint of vanilla and soft floral notes. It has noticeable sillage and quite good lasting power. It is not a typical girly fragrance; to me it is a fragrance for a mature elegant lady in her 30's. It has a fruity feel to it without being fructose sticky :-) Great choice for Ghost lovers. I tried Captivating, Luminous and Sweetheart the other day, and Sweetheart was a definite winner. Luminous was sourish to me, Captivating was actually slightly similar in feel to Sweetheart but lacked the Sweetheart's lasting power. Overall, great choice if you don't want to smell like half the people in the restaurant on your night out. 8/10

Ethyl Maltol. No such thing as ethanol maltol. This is usually found at very low prices though which makes a difference. Actual Vanilla is extremely expensive Some very young girls & some dingb□t Millenials must try to remember that perfumes are subjective & what is theirtaste may not be others taste. Describing perfumes as "dead ppl at Funerals"or "Grandma's attic"🙄😌 is not polite.& it's a little unfair & we are ALL friends here; those who are not can push orf & leave this friendly site for a forum where twelve year olds stamp their metaphorical silly feet perhaps Bye gurls. Personally I've never tried this though; & I was only interested because of the mint, but perhaps not. Good, inexpensive perfumes get to be hard to find but everybody loves a bargain espc in such times 🙏🇬🇧

I absolutely love this perfume! It was the first Ghost perfume that I tried (and now also have the original Ghost and Ghost Captivating) I bought it in duty free while flying to Finland. As I got it in duty free it meant that I was able to buy a bigger bottle for cheaper which is always good ^_^! This perfume to me is very floral, I can't describe what I smell from it because to me it smells of Finland as it was the only perfume I wore while I was there and it was a great holiday so it's kind of just stuck in my head as smelling of Finland now, which is fine by me =P Although I can't really describe the smell I would defiantly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of sweet floral fragrances.

I find this one difficult to describe. I like vanilla, and some gourmand fragrances, and I would bracket sweetheart in that category, however it is slightly less obvious than heavier vanilla bases. When I sprayed this at the airport (after spraying hundreds of others as always lol) I couldn't stop sniffing my scarf. That for me is a sure sign of a nice fragrance. It is soft and alluring, sweet and candyish without being girly, has a subtle blend of feminine floral without being musty/old lady at all. it is what I would class as a comforting scent in my fragrance wardrobe. Not a holy grailer, but a regular go to scent as it is pleasant for anytime wear.

This smells like a barbie doll covered in lipstick and nail varnish. It's a massive scent, very potent and wouldn't want to be in a confined space with anyone wearing it as I'd rather spray a floral air freshener directly into my nose. It's synthetically sweet and high in vanillin or ethanol maltol.Because its linear and overwhelming synthetic it can get sickly like having too many haribos. Its definitely floraly but overwhelmingly synthetic, I would say slightly powdery.maybe a scent for a teenager but has something in there that is masculine, if you try and ignore the horrid floral accord.

This scent has nothing natural or fresh about it, but it would suit a teenager. Not that it is innocent, it's just a bit cheap smelling and modern. It's an urban, city smell. It's all about texture- chalky, velvety, powdery. It makes me want to sneeze. Not that I mind sneezing, it's quite pleasant when it's caused by this peppery smell. Funnily, it reminds me of a strong detergent type soap we used at primary school. It is a lasting smell, and I feel like I need oxygen when it surrounds me. It's like being on a plane, I can even smell the aviation fuel!

Soft, sweet, warm, abit of spiceness on the top. Very light, wouldn't left a trace after me even if I would bathed in it. Gost Sweatheart belongs rather to 'aura' perfumes, than traces, absolutely harmless, wouldn't annoy anyone. I like it most from all the Gosts I've tried (few in the long bottles including original Ghost), the softiests and warmiest version of all of them. But I wouldn't buy it anyway, don't like it that much.Yes, at the begining I found some similarity to 212 sexy, though the last one fruitier and much much stronger

How very curious 🤔 -- This smells very screechy and terribly dated on my skin, sadly 😞 I wish I could smell what other reviews smell! It was a scrubber but I've kept the cute tiny bottle to display!

Ghost Sweetheart is nice everyday fragrance indeed. At first I kinda hated it, it was like cheap floral mess to me, but later it turned way better. In fact - sweet florals and patchouli, this is quite similar to Angel for me. I used to spray it on jacket sleeve when I didn't have it yet and it smelled like thos Ghost perfume does. Kind of velvety. nice.

Not a fan of this at all, there's nothing sweetheart about this. It smells like a spicy floral mess to me, it smells dated and has a weird composition. I was expecting something completley different.. The mint gives this perfume an overall strangeness that doesn't fit in with the rest of the blend, and it's offputting..

Oh wow not sweet at all! I like Ghost perfume, The Signature is my favourite. Sweetheart is dry amber and woody notes with a touch of sweet pineapple. Quite unisex actually, The Signature is very elegant and feminine, but this one is like Deep Night, has strong woody undertones. Good reach for every day.

got ghost sweetheart as an xmas present and opened it today as it sounds like a spring/summer perfume, lovely bottle, all i can smell is the mint at first then it gets sweet, its a nice perfume but longlivity isnt great, had to apply every two hours, other than that its very likeable and for all ages

i lovet this. repurchased since my teen years, really comforting woody fragrance and to smells like adventures or camping maybe. something about this resonates in a really nostalgic way and i actually dont think its my own connection to the perfume. this was well constructed. i really like this

gorgeous and unique. the pineapple and mint set it apart from other floral scents. I wore this exclusively ages 16-18 and I think it's the perfect scent for a younger person. very carefree but intriguing. rarely came across anyone else who wore it which made me like it even more.

Tried this last week. All I got was fruity floral, nice, sweet, but not very exciting. Didn't seem oriental. Pleasant enough company but would only be your sweetheart briefly, before a grand passion came along and swept you off your feet.

Sweetheart is not an unpleasant fragrance & I shall always remember the citrus notes, especially grapefruit hitting me when I first smelt it! Nice scent, I'd say, but unremarkable and much too soft for me...

First I got a hit of the ambery civet god-awful scent of OBSESSION by CK, then resinous over-sweet violet. I am not a fan this.

I wanted to try a sample of this and they were only offering it in the UK, does anyone know where I can try this in the US?
