In The Mood For Love Man

I got it today - In The Mood For Love Man – 30ml. What can I say? – Truly a great smell! I want to start with the bottle – so beautiful! Very stylish, very interesting, modern, but at the same time the color of the bottle is lovely dark/glossy/, which gives it something mysteries, something serious... It has a very modern start – a little bit clean and fresh, with some light sweet notes. The pepper is there as well. In The Mood For Love definitely is a very complex men scent. After an hour or two it becomes more sweet and warm...But don’t get me wrong – it’s not the same sweetness as Le Male, or A*Men or Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin. The drydown is so nice and smooth – the sweetness is gone and here we have woody notes with some spices... I can find some similarity with Dolce&Gabbana - The One / The One Gentleman, Joop! Homme Joop! or CH Men Carolina Herrera... Definitely it is suitable for 30+ and it’s not that type – for every day use or at the office. I think In The Mood For Love Man will shine best in autumn/winter and it can be a winner for some special occasions...maybe when you are wearing elegant shirt or smart-casual jacket... Silage is great. It’s a very powerful scent, I can guarantee ladies around you will notice you mood for love ;) Longetivity – more than 7 hours / the woody-spicy notes dominates/. So, if you are looking for a classy, elegant, modern, but at the same time masculine men scent, In The Mood For Love Man deserves a try. I’m very delighted with it. Just tested it this afternoon and I'm delighted with this fragrance already! It has a vibrant opening of grapefruit and white pepper, so fresh and spicy at the same time. Then it gets much warmer with the sweet notes blending with wonderful spicy-woody scents, I get the coriander and the cedar in particular. Here's when I got seduced by this composition: the sweet and spicy notes are delightfully balanced and blended, I didn't expect such distinct and vivid scents to produce such a refined result! Refined, balanced and complex at the same time without being heavy at all, the nose behind this creation has done a marvelous job. This is going to be a great choise for the autumn/winter nights and for some special occasion. Again this is my first impression after about three hours on my skin and it's just getting better at the drydown! A definite buy for me, thankfully it comes at a very good price. My rating - so far: 8.5/10

Well well well. This was a nice surprise for me. For pepper lovers with a floral twist. Ferre in the mood for love man is a night or cold weather cologne with very good longevity and sillage. The opening is sweet and bloody peppery but after 15-20 mins the floral face shows up. I am sure there are more floral notes not only orange blossom but I cannot point. The floral note is a very dry one with cardamom also slightly noticeable in background. The patchouli is not loud nor shy, just rightly done. Although this is not a unique cologne, everything is so rightly done, I really liked it and purchased one. Now it has become my favourite night cologne. If this was launched by house Gıvenchy it could be named Ange ou Demon pour Homme. This is romantic but also incredibly sexy and powerful. Not popular but one of the best releases of 2011. Very unexpected. Very very good. 9.5/10

A very elegant fragrance of the early 00. This is in the same league of lancome hypnose or boss soul but more dressed up, night style like la nuit de l'homme. It needs a casual elegance, a fresh spicy-woody scent very refined and appealing. The bottle is a little work of art, this fragrance is good for fall and spring, for 28 and up. Performance just ok, this beauty is discontinued and hard to find. Grab it if you can! Profumo elegante e bilanciato tipico dei primi anni duemila. I really like this perfume, but don't know why :) It's not unique, not even extremely captivating, but still... smells so nice! Elegant, slightly sweet, deep, even familiar, just a nice oriental I really like wearing on myself. The bottle is elegant too, however the color black never was connected to "love", it may need to be blue or red. It was a cheap buy, and the first Ferré fragrance I like. Kinda happy to buy it! Due to non-existent marketing, almost nobody knows it. I tried it only because of the bottle. I recommend to give it a try, you won't regret! :)

Today I went for fragrance hunt. I do it when I am back in my country and There are small shops with some discontinued or very rare gems. The lady behind the counter showed me this one, but I decided to act like a frag snob and said: - Aaah.... This is a Le male clone... leave it. Stupid me. This smells so nice. It’s alluring and sexy and classy and high quality. Few hours after and two washings of my hands I am getting big time whiffs from my hand! Soooooooo pleasant 🤤 Tomorrow I am going to buy it and apologise to the kind lady.

A nice woody oriental with some subtle creamy and fruity facets. Lovely fragrance ! While not a clone, it reminds me of La Nuit de L’Homme, only slightly sweeter and creamier and less spicy. I mainly get tonka, orange blossom, and cardamom. It definitely has a seductive and inviting aura, without trying too hard, and because it is not super strong ( but lasts quite a long time ), it would make a perfect date scent.

Where is quality gone already from the shelves of perfumeries? Where are these complex scents? When you are not paying a premium for the brand, and for packaging, and meanwhile you get crappy scents for large sums. This scent is beautiful. Today's luxury perfumes do not even approach this scent. 100 stars to Gianfraco Ferre

The Mood For Love Man is a versitile easy wearable scent for men but it's not something special or something completely new for my nose. I like it, but I have smelled before. There is some sweet wateriness of the same philosophy like Invictus but it's a different scent. It opens with a blast of vivid black pepper and lavender. There is a hint of grapefruit which is becoming stronger after some seconds. Than come to the surface equally powered coriander and orange blossom with vivid cardamom, very well blended and well mixed. There is a subtle sweetness almost from the begining but not so powerful. At the dry down, the tonka bean is the most powerful note of the base with a mild patchouli and noticeable cedarwood. Maybe there is a pinch of coffee note here. The longevity and the projection are both moderate. It's suitable for spring-fall, day and night. Nice, pleasant, fresh spicy oriental scent for men.

i test it this morning.. it's one the most feminine perfumes in the men's section... but its very very romantic so they got the theme "in the mood for love".. i maybe buy the small bottle for the special occasions.

Ferrè's style lives on this fragrance: tradiction and innovation perfectly balanced. Elegance in a bottle.

This fragrance was being extremely anticipated by me because of its creator Olivier Polge. Finally I am satisfied, but not really impressed. I should say the scent is rather changeable, I tried it 5 times during a week before writing this review. Olivier combined here soft tonka beans sweetness, dark flowers from Dior Fahrenheit, a pinch of generic spices, a beautiful woody dry down smelling like an unlit Indian incense sticks and – unfortunately! – too much citruses. On a skin the smell is powdery (thank tonka), on clothes it is more spicy. The main problem consists in the wateriness of the fragrance, that's why it seems to be uncomplex. Yes, “In the mood for love man” is a beautiful, sophisticated scent, it is much better than most of last releases. It is ideal for men who want something seductive and not sweet/feminine at the same time. However if “In the mood for love man” were more intense it would be better. I don’t admire the sillage of the scent, again because of the citrusy base; the longevity is average.

The smell of freshly washed skin. Imagine freshly showered skin, this is in the mood for love. Cardamom and pepper are very well mixed together. Spicy, sweet & fresh. Better than some musk based fragrances. Thats why Napoleon didn ́t shower, he prefered a Eau de Cologne bath.

I'm SO dying to hear the comments about this parfume, has anyone try it ?? I have a pretty good feel about it, disregarding the somewhat funny name from the guys viewpoint :) . . .
