Borabora

I’m always in search of the “perfect” tropical scent. Something sweet and coconut-ish, but not straight up coconut. Something with the essence of tropical fruits, but not overpowered by mango or pineapple. Something that actually smells like tropical flowers (example, ylang ylang or tiare), but not too camphoric or synthetically sweet. Something rich, but not another boring vanilla bomb! I’ve literally bought and/or sampled almost everything out there in this category! Soleil Blanc, coco coco, Drink coco, corpo caldi, miss marissa tropical, Iles Lointaines, virgin island water, cocobello, beach, bronze goddess, terracotta, lust for sun, intense Tiare, Oud Janue, lost in paradise, lust in paradise, cacao in the sun, cocci alla vaniglia, moonlight in heaven......... I could keep going, but you get the point! But THIS......this is not good, it’s great! It’s tropical, but not tropical in the way that 90% of tropical fragrances are. This isn’t the vanilla, coconut, synthetic Tiare bomb that most tropical fragrances try to make you believe the tropics smell like, this is what the tropics actually smell like!!!! This is the single most realistic Ylang Ylang I have ever had the pleasure of smelling in a fragrance. It’s not the camphoric ylang either, it’s the ylang flower that’s only a couple of hours from falling to the ground, the sweet creamy one that makes you want to keep smelling it forever! I live in SE Asia and I have a large Ylang bush in my backyard, and this fragrance has captured its scent! The coconut is more of a realistic fresh creamy coconut instead of the coconut oil suntan lotion smell. The tiare isn’t overpowering, but just strong enough to know what it is, and for it to linger in the nose a second or two post sniff. As it dries down the vanilla and caramel come through to lend a sweetness to the scent. Overall it’s a well crafted tropical scent at an okay price. It’s the best tropical I’ve smelled in years second to Oud Janue, which is my favorite. Oud Janue unfortunately comes with a price tag that I haven’t been able swallow yet. So if you’re looking for a different take on tropical, give this one a shot, it’s a real beauty!

This fragrance is beautiful! So much so, that I wish I had perhaps been less hasty in ordering Ylang Ylang Nosy Be. I am still happy with my choice, but this fragrance quite truthfully really surprised me! Perhaps one day I can have both in my collection but at the moment I really only need one tropical fragrance! This may be my next summer frag purchase, however... I love it that much!! Noting that Ylang Ylang Nosy Be and BoraBora are not really similar, they're just both tropical florals (I would consider them to be that, at least). Just noting that living in a high-desert land locked state, I don't know that I NEED two tropical fragrances like RIGHT THIS MOMENT. I am personally turned off by fragrances with a coconut note, to me that always gives me more body spray vibe. However, the coconut is very well done in BoraBora! Gosh, I can't stop sniffing, it smells so wonderful! Beautiful Ylang Ylang, extremely well blended! And the white florals are done to perfection. This is my first time sampling a fragrance from this brand and I am really impressed! I think the price point is great, for how beautiful the fragrance is! It is literally magical - it's tropical without being sunscreen-y (in my opinion, though I see it is to other.. please advise ASAP what sunscreen you're using!). I am someone who is immediately turned off by a sunscreen vibe, like will not even buy a body spray if it smells that way (looking at you, Rio Radiance)... I just don't get that here. If anything, I'm getting a photorealistic lieu... now that I've identified it, it's taking me back to my annual trip to Hawaii and wow I'm surprised by the accuracy! Truly, it is stunning! I would consider this a lighthearted, magical fragrance. Not juvenile at all, it's been masterfully crafted and I would say is lovely for any age! Well, any adult age, perhaps not for a teenager. Kind of like... an elevated take on a body spray? But not in a way to cheapen it, or lessen it, of course. I have a hard time seeing this on a man... to me this is a full-feminine fragrance. I am totally in love! Definitely full bottle worthy, IMO!

Yes, it smells like sunscreen and that's because sunscreen is often scented with tropical notes such as coconut and tiara flower. I don't get a chemical note, it's just the strange nuances that come from natural waxy flowers like tiara and frangipani. This is a very realistic example of those notes. The ylang ylang is quite noticeable but it's blended well so it doesn't jump out at me and create an 80's oriental scent. The tiara, coconut, vanilla, and ylang and jasmine are apparent and create this smooth, creamy tropical scent and I can close my eyes and place myself on a tropical beach somewhere with warm sand and white sunshine. It's a love. I don't notice an ammonia urine smell to this, it's just slightly indolic as many white florals can be. If you love lilies, tuberose, ylang ylang, and tiara, then you'll like this and not notice that note. If you don't like white florals, why are you even reading this! It's potent so I wouldn't overspray or you might choke yourself out. It's nice because if I want to keep it floral, then I do 2 sprays, and if I want more coconutty sweetness then I go for 4-5 sprays but no more than that. I do wish plumeria was in the composition because I love plumeria but I'm okay with the composition as it is, too. It is a bit on the sweet side so if you don't care for sweet things then you probably won't care for this. I would also classify it as a floral scent, so bare that in mind as well. I used to live by the beach and now I live in the desert so I will get plenty of wear from this. The average temperature in the winter here is 75 and 105 in the summer so this is my kind of gourmand! I would actually classify this as a tropical floral gourmand. I prefer this scent to Latte as Latte had a scratchy note for me and made me itchy. I still really like it, though. I was sent Celeste as a tester and that scent reminded me of Latte as well. So far, I'm really digging this house!

I tested the whole Giardini di Toscana line today and ended up purchasing Borabora. The initial spray gives you the tropical blast we have all smelled before: the yellow & white floral combo that is present in sunscreen/tropical fragrances like Soleil Blanc, Terracotta, Oud Jaune, Roja 51, etc. I cannot say that GdT created something never done before with Borabora. True, the notes of tiare, ylang ylang and jasmine together have been done tired already. But it's still a scent profile that I crave time and time again as beach weather rolls around. GdT does things a bit different that made me addicted to this scent once I got to appreciate it through its drydown stage. Once the florals tone down, your skin is left with a sheer scent of caramel, vanilla, creaminess from the coconut and a distant sweetness from apricot. The coconut is not prominent at all, though it gives the entire composition a smooth quality. The creamy dry down turns a tropical scent into a comforting almost-gourmand that displays the DNA in its pillar fragrance, Bianco Latte. This is not Bianco Latte, but the DNA of a sweet powdery vanilla runs through it the same way it runs through Celeste. If you're looking for a new take on a tropical scent and can get past the florals in the opening (about 2 hours), you will really enjoy the GdT take on an old beachy classic.

I LOVE this scent. It's a perfect blend of tropical florals with creamy coconut and musk. I am curious how an extra sprinkle of coconut would have performed with the current blend. I love coconut so I think it would have worked out well. Sure, it will shine in the summer, but I will wear this all year round. It has that flexibility that some other summer fragrances like, Lineage by Amouage, Ylang in gold by m. micallef, or L'imperatrice by D&G don't hold as much. I love all those summer fragrances as well. Some have compared this to an elevated sun screen scent, perhaps lounging on a yacht, but it is so much more than that. I imagine a clean, ocean-loving person, introverted but with the right people extroverted, who can be fun, warmth, lover of nature and all things healthy, but doesn't hold back to indulgences. It's beautiful. It reminds me of the perfume Kai but creamier, and IMO better. This is strong and performs well. I love it so much! I wish I had a bubble of this scent surrounding me without giving others, and perhaps myself a headache, haha. I enjoy this more than bianco latte. Some have compared the two, but I don't think they smell similar at all. Maybe second cousins, if that. Bianco latte is sweeter, maybe even at times, too sweet (sticky sweet, if that makes sense). 9.5/10 for borabora. My new favourite.

I first tried this during summer the same time as Amouage Sunshine. I was able to appreciate both but didn't like any of them for myself because I am not a fan of white flowers and I thought sunshine was too heavy and powdery. Now that automne is here with clouds and rain, I rarely see the sun. And yesterday, from nowhere, I just thought of amouage Sunshine and of the person who said that's sunshine in a bottle. I smelled it and had a weird craving, I used it on my skin. Afterwards I also tried on paper a few others "summer" fragrances, Borabora among them. I smelled it and still didn't like it but I left all the papers on the small table near the couch. While wearing the powdery Amouage, a fresh flower smell was coming from nowhere, alive and creamy. To me it smelled like lila although I knew there was no lila fragrance. So after smelling everything I realized it was Borabora and that I am addicted. In my opinion the two go very well together, with just one spray of Borabora because it's insanely strong. And for me they are not summer fragrances. They are for cloudy cold days when we crave for the sun. I still can't put my finger on what flower I smell in Borabora. It's just alive, like a whole branch in bloom appears from nowhere next to you. And so creamy. A fragrance that actually crept it's way into my life.

THIS IS STUNNING! A light, uplifting, creamy tropical floral with a musky, cuddly, vanilla base. It makes me feel soo good! It's so pretty and when the sun is out, this absolutely hits! A very bright floral opening, strong ylang-ylang, with some jasmine and tiare. The ylang-ylang shines in the first sniff! Once the florals start to dry down, the coconut milk pulls through more. It almost gives the sunscreen vibe without actually going there. It's lush and the perfect balance. The base is creamy, and play-doh-y (similar to what I find in Leisure in Paradise) - absolutely addictive and so gorgeous! After discovering Leisure in Paradise (Simone Andreoli) as my favourite tropical fruity vanilla, I wanted to find a tropical floral that I loved just as much and to layer together. After trying many frags within this profile and finding them too sunscreeny, or too common, Borabora was THE ONE! The tropical florals aren't my typical scent profile, but I absolutely adore this. It's not the biggest performer, I probably get around 5 hours of wear. It projects really well in the first couple of hours. To me, that's perfect for the summer. I love scents that mentally transport me to other places in the world and this takes me off to a tropical island instantly! A masterpiece IMO.

Me ne sono innamorata dopo aver provato il discovery set di Giardini di Toscana e, ancora oggi, è uno di quelli che indosso più volentieri nelle giornate calde. L'apertura mi fa subito pensare a una crema solare elegante e cremosa, con il tiaré protagonista e un cocco ben presente ma mai invadente. Più che un classico profumo tropicale, mi ricorda un cocktail o un sorbetto al cocco con qualche frutto succoso e un ombrellino nel bicchiere. Mi immagino una ragazza con un fiore tra i capelli, gli occhiali da sole e le beach waves dopo un bagno al mare. Più che un luogo preciso, mi trasmette proprio la sensazione di una perfetta giornata d'estate. Con il passare delle ore la parte più fruttata si attenua e il profumo diventa sempre più morbido e delicato. Sulla mia pelle il drydown è soprattutto una vaniglia estiva e cremosa, quasi come un budino alla vaniglia con una leggera spolverata di cocco rapé. Non fa più molta scia, ma lascia una piacevole sensazione di pelle profumata. Lo trovo molto più elegante di tanti altri tropicali, che spesso finiscono per essere troppo dolci o artificiali. Per me resta uno di quei profumi che appena indosso mi fanno venire voglia d'estate.

a new favorite. she is honeyed florals, with a creamy feel from the coconut milik and the "jasmolactone" note the vanilla and caramel add a sweetness, richness, and smoothness without going into a detectably gourmand territory. if i didn't see the notes, i wouldn't necessarily think there were so many gourmand notes here. to my nose it really just comes across as the most gorgeous honeyed florals. that banana facet of ylang could also be what makes this feel so honey like to me..i love it! i understand why people put this in the summer season category, bc of all the florals i guess and maybe coconut? but to me she's perfect in the cooler and more mild weather. the warmth of the gourmand notes in here make her a floral that can cut through the cold. personally for me i can see this getting to be a bit much in the summer. bc she is strong!!! and longevity was above average for me. this is not a refreshing floral to me. this is a thick, smooth, rich floral...without ever becoming overwhelming for me (and im a fresh floral girly)

Delicious summer scent, perfect for all times of the day and can only be enhanced by the hot weather. This fragrance is absolutely perfect for vacations and warm weather, tiare flower and ylang ylang mix with coconut and vanilla that feels like sugared coconut milk sinking into your skin. I get a picture of salty hair, warm sand clinging to your skin, a gorgeous tan and sipping a cocktail on the beach. Jasmolactone and coconut work together to keep the fragrance creamy, caramel comes in and makes it slightly gourmand while the musk wraps everything up in a soft shawl and all together these ingredients make a perfect, dare i say, signature worthy female summer scent. This is highly feminine and sexy in a "not trying too hard way". I will be wearing this every damn time i leave the house when its hot this summer. If you want a soft, sweet, yet powerful summer breeze on your skin buy BoraBora. I get a long wear time out of this on both skin and clothes and the sillage is fairly strong too. Listen... usually a white floral-dominant fragrance is an absolute no-go for me. It's usually my least favorite scent profile. But my god, is this one complex and lovely. And it goes through so many stages. From light and airy floral, to creamy floral, to most beautiful suntan lotion you've ever smelled in your life, to delectable caramelized apricots, to a sultry fruity-floral. I noticed that it changed a bit when I was sweating and even that smelled amazing too. It lasts and it projects. I do want to say that the scent it projects is different and more complex than how it smells when you sniff it where you sprayed it, though it must be sprayed on your skin to get the full effect of it. I was unimpressed when I smelled it from the sample vial. But in its full glory on skin, it's incredible. I NEVER decide to buy a full bottle just after wearing a fragrance for one day. This is the exception.

When I was in Bologna, Italy, I went into a small chic perfume store to try Bianco Latte. I wasn’t as impressed as I was hoping to be (after all the internet hype) but when I smelled Borabora, it just blew my mind. I left the store and had to head back to get it at the end of the day because I couldn’t stop sniffing it and roll my eyes at how dreamy it was. Such a creamy, cozy, lactonic white floral - this is how I imagine Heaven smells like. Indeed very well blended, I don’t feel the notes being separated; the white florals are beautifully hugged by the coconut milk (I don’t get coconut, by the way) and Jasmolactone, making them super creamy. Usually, the musk stands out, but here... it’s just right. I don’t get the feeling of sunscreen at all. All this creaminess slowly transitions to pleasant caramel & amber after some time.

This is a beautiful woman in all white on a night out at a topical resort. The floor is made of sand and there is a cool breeze. In front of her is a cocktail made from creamy coconut milk, lightly sweetened and garnished with yellow flowers. I find this lovely. A true luxury scent. It vaguely reminds me of Bianco Latte, its DNA is in the background, but this perfume stands on its own. Projection and silage is moderate. Longevity is excellent. However you must love lactonic and yellow floral scents to enjoys this. I find this is a very summer appropriate scent but it was not out of place in colder weather. I enjoy layering combos but Borabora tends to overwhelm other scents easily with her richness, she prefers to be worn alone. 9/10.

For me, Bora Bora is an extremely well done floral with a pronounced tropical feel. There’s tiare, ylang ylang and coconut, mixed with jasmine, apricots, vanilla and caramel. Everything in this perfume is smooth, well balanced and very appealing. Not saying necessarily super mass appealing because not everyone loves tropical florals or jasmine, but for most people it could be. I think Bora Bora is a safe blind buy for the ladies who like this scent profile. I am testing Bora Bora side by side with Almafolia, and out the two big florals of Giardini di Toscana, Bora Bora is by far my favourite one! Performance is decent, it’s not as long lasting as Almafolia on my skin, but it’s not a weak perfume by any means. This is a winner for me!

This fragrance is a unique one. I struggle to grasp how I feel about it, yet it unlocks vivid childhood memories of Florida holidays: sun-kissed skin, the heat radiating off the sidewalk, and the vibrant chaos of bustling farmers markets. It's not a tropical cocktail, but it captures the essence of warm weather in its purest form of a simple, radiant warmth. There's an untamed, almost messy and dirty quality to it, which, surprisingly, is incredibly alluring. The dominant notes are a burst of sunny yellow and creamy white florals, with a slow, seductive undercurrent of vanilla and caramel. It’s a scent that evokes the comfort of family and cherished moments. To me, it's a masterpiece, though it’s far from being mass appealing.

Stunning tropical floral with unusual construction. Differs in a good way from the other beachy florals. Can be worn all year day and night as it has enough lactons and warmth. Opens with a blast of tiare with a small voice of ylang ylang. More than jasmine I feel the jasmolactones and coconut milk and musks. It is light but dense in tropical sensation. Very beautiful I prefer it to Bianco Latte so far, if it performs as well I will chase a bottle. 9 hours in and it still projects a comfortable bubble. The drydown is lovely, sweet musky, tiare and ylang tinged. Worth the money. At some stage, in passing it reminded me of Flowerbomb Tiger Lily.

This is love at first sniff!😍 The opening reminds me of a bubble gum flavor from my childhood I can't really remember. The scent just brings the tropical tingly freshness to my mouth immediately. Underneath emerges a very eadible and realistic "vintage/true" vanilla ice cream. I think of ice cream because the vanilla is truly creamy and rich. As the scent develops, it's like caramel syrup is poured on top of the ice cream. I cannot stop sniffing! This is simultaneously familiar and nostalgic, yet like nothing I've ever smelled before. The white flowers are gorgeously blended with the vanilla and juicy apricot. This is paradise in a bottle!

Tried 3 times at the shop, something keep making me coming back to this scent. I hesitated between Bobora and blu indaco but maybe this last one is too heavy for summer (but its good). I am not a flower girl but l was looking for something floral, fruity, interesting for the high heat. Finally bought a FB. It's not too sweet and the florals are quite delicate. I can picture the yellow flowers and even the jasmine is plaisant (and l hate jasmine). I get the coconut and the vanilic drydown too. It's not clouding for the high summer and it's elegant. For information, l have bianco latte and Christos from this brand.

The opening smells like straight up jasmine and pee, I'm not gonna lie. Jasmine has a tendency of smelling "pissy" on my skin... Once it settles it smells like a luxurious bodycream with notes of ylang, coconut, vanilla and a hint of banana. I really didn't like it the first couple of times I tried it, but it's grown on me, and pulled me in, so I'm considering buying a full bottle of it... Edit: Bought a full bottle, and absolutely love it! It also layers so well with so many other perfumes, incredibly versatile and not just for summer.

you need to be a big sunny yellow floral gurl for this one. If tropical is not your vibe do not waste your time and money. I am a big yellow ylang ylang freak so this one is a staple in my collection. The apricot is what really sets this one apart from your basic sunsscreeny white floral, and to me she is a MAIN player. I’m in the southeast region of the US so we get about 7 or 8 months of hot weather so it gets a lot of use. Shes kinda nice to break out in the dead of winter from time to time when you're missing summer too tho.

This ticks all the boxes on being a fabulous tropical, coconut, white floral, beachy fragrance. ☀️🏝️ Easy reach for a vacation or a go to summer scent. Borabora Giardini Di Toscana has the dreamy tropical monoi (tiare coconut), tuberose, ylang-ylang, jasmine, vanilla but combine in a really good way. Not getting the apricot notes, but the caramel I pick up in the dry down. You are going to see lots of "reminds me of perfumes" as there are many in this vibe, but this one stands out on its own, and I am LOVING it!

I wasn’t a big fan the first 2 times I tested it, once on paper and once on skin, it was a bit nauseating. However, the 3rd time I tested it was in a hot day and I just couldn't stop sniffing my arm... by the end of day I ordered a full bottle. It smells like a thick caramel tropical scent, that is sophisticated but also somehow unique. What I get is a creamy coconut beautifully blended with a milky “jasmine” and a thick caramel vanilla. This has quickly risen to my top fragrances!!!

On paper, it just smells sweet and linear, so it wasn't love at first sniff. I had to spray it on myself to get all the nuance. I can smell nearly all of the notes individually, and they blend together beautifully. Of course, this is a summer frag, but it wouldn't be out of place in the colder months. Longevity and sillage are okay, but you don't want beast mode frags in summer. I really love it, and I've pretty much bathed myself in it the moment I got a bottle.

I did not like this at all the first time I tried it on a tester strip, but I just went back to it and gave it another shot on skin and it’s magical. It smells like Summer in a bottle. The coconut and tiare flower are like an elevated sunscreen/ day at the beach vibe. I’m kicking myself for not trying it out sooner so I could’ve had a bottle for this year! Longevity is moderate, about six hours for me. The projection is strong for the scent profile.

This is my ride or die fragrance! I don't like Bianco Latte, but this is perfection. There isn't anything scrachy or cheep smelling in it, it is blended perfectly and it fully blooms on my skin in the peek of the summer. I tried to wear it in winter because I miss it and still I got a good wear, but I use it in summer because my skin will drink up everything and nothing lasts, but this is strong. I get milky ylang. I love love looooove this scent!

Kinda smells like air freshener on first blast. Then somehow transforms. Beautiful tropical scent that smells super photorealistic - not the standard sunscreen, coconut summer fragrance - but much more floral focused and musky, reminds me of my travels on south east Asia and smelling the white florals in the humid heat. Its sweet and delicious. Just wait for that dry down - I was ready to wipe it off until it settled down.

The most gorgeous tiare and ylang fragrance that is tropical and elegant. I definitely want a bottle for next summer....just debating if I want a tropical fragrance for fall/winter. I love this one much better than the Bianco Latte which smells like Escapade Gourmande - BoraBora is more complex and fun. The apricot note adds interest to the opening, and the refreshing coconut milk and caramel adds a smoothness.

You know, I never could get on the Bianco Latte train, to me it's basic and nothing special.. however, someone sent me a sample of Borabora, and it is everything I expected BL to be with the hype. I immediately went on LuckyScent and bought a full size bottle. I've never heard of this scent before today and it is clearly being slept on. And it seems to have the same beast mode qualities I heard about BL.

File this under guilty pleasures. A walk through a sweet, tropical floral forest ending in a creamy coconut grove. This is not unique. This is not complex. But it’s (fill in the expletive blank) amazing—a perfect summer vacay vibe in a bottle. Call me simple but I love it. Edit: Twelve days later, I can’t stop sniffing my sample so I bought a bottle.

I love this perfume! I have had two samples and plan to get a full bottle. You have to like white florals but the white florals fade after about an hour, then the yellow florals come forward. Then after another hour it becomes sweet and creamy yet fresh. Stays on clothes forever. It is a great fragrance for a hot summer day.

Something powdery is going on and I've been chasing that 90s/00s powder makeup scent. On skin it's almost cashmere-based, like Korres Cashmere Kumquat EDP. Actually very pleasant and work-safe. Later, on paper it smells like the hand cream Glycerona Classic, a very subtle milky muskiness. Adore. 8/10

Oh my gosh this is gorgeous. I was worried the coconut would be too much bc I’m very sensitive to it but it’s just a enough to make it creamy. The perfect amount of sweetness. A little sunscreeny but in the best, most luxurious way possible. This is what I wanted The Chant by Maison Alhambra to be.

So far it’s 3 for 3 with Giardini Di Toscana - I love and have Bianco Latte, Celeste, and now Borabora. I happen to love white florals and the additional gourmand notes make this the perfect tropical summer floral gourmand for me! I really want to try every scent by this house, now.

This is you walking on the sand-peppered streets of Carmel, catching the scent of fresh jasmine garlands being sold outside a historic stone church. This is expensive, transportive, and poetic. 10/10. After a while, the florals transform into a creamy, caramel and coconut scent.

What a gorgeous scent! After falling for Bianco Latte, I explored most of the Giardini di Toscana line, and this one truly stood out. Borabora is a floral fragrance with a juicy, sugary banana twist and creamy floral undertones. Addictive, unique, and completely captivating.

I love it. It smells like summer. At the opening I smell the flowers and in the dry down I get the creamy coconut and the vanilla. Yes it smells like body lotion or sunscreen, but I love it and it doesen't smell cheap.

Wow I love this. Such a pretty girl scent. I would put Zara Larssons Midnight sun on play and feel like the prettiest and hottest beach girl in my room. It’s really beautiful and long lasting.

luxurious coconut lotion that glides onto the skin like silk, leaving it beautifully soft and radiant. The scent is a refined tropical dream, warm and understated, yet undeniably elegant.

A beautiful tropical, heady, floral & creamy fragrance. I've received many compliments on it. Makes me think of a beach wedding. Or a fancy date in a tropical Mediterranean climate.

Very nice creamy, sunny happy fragrance. I don't smell urine at all. I like the openinig more than the drydown, as it smells to me a bit indolic, but still very nice
