Rosso Rubino

I blind bought this and it's a gorgeous unique perfume! It smells familiar but doesn't . It's so hard to put in words. The very first 10 seconds after spraying is very sweet and powdery but soon the powderiness goes away and it smells like cafe cabanel..I smell oranges and chocolate and a soft rose. As it dries down that similarity goes away and it takes on another personality. I can smell more pink pepper and moss . There is a fuzzy cat fur quality underneath. 4 hours later I can still smell it and now it has the same fruits and moss of mitsouko but softer and more modern. It finishes as a warm mossy woody fruit scent. It's absolutely gorgeous. I've only been wearing it for 6 hours but this review is from my initial impression from the first spray up to the 6-hour point and I love it! I can't wait to see what other people smell. It does evolve a lot. Update: wow! Woh! Crazy pink pepper and coumeran! When I first wrote this I had just put one spray on the top of my hand. Now I sprayed on my neck and my cleavage and I get so much pink pepper. It's even making my skin tingle lol and the coumeran is super strong It smells really spicy and powdery and sweet ...again.,The powdery is wearing away and then everything else I said comes into play. But if your sprayinh more than one spray the pink pepper might choke you. But it's awesome.

This scent is truly one-of-a-kind! One of the most unique fragrances I've encountered recently. It may not appeal to everyone, so sampling before buying. Perfectly unisex. Upon spraying, I'm hit with a complex array of notes and quite a bit of pepper. To my nose, I get a subtle, cakey patchouli with a mild fruity accord and something super delectable in the dry-down. I also get a modern balsamic rose combined with rich cacao, unlike anything I’ve smelt in this genre. While it earns a 10/10 for uniqueness, it's definitely not for everyone. I'll continue to sample and test before deciding on a bottle. Update- Day 3 of testing and I’m sold! The pepper opening fades after 30 minutes or so and you get this gorgeous, delectable base which I just can’t get enough of. Such an underrated gem! Immediately bought a full bottle.

I got this as a small sample and when I first sprayed it, it smelled of rose to me and little else. The first dry down smelled woody and I wasn't impressed, as I have hundreds of other perfumes and don't need another rose. But, I decided to overspray it and give it another try and this time, I am smitten. It is still floral to me, but I now appreciate its spicy elements and the faint citrus that lingers. It is a long lasting scent, not overpowering, and the dry down is distinctly sweet on my skin. I love gourmands and this one almost veers in that direction as it wears. I decided to buy a bigger bottle and this may be in my top rotation now. It smells nothing like Bianco Latte to me, so I am happy to have both in my collection and will likely get more from this house now.

A velvety rose and face powder combo - elegant and gorgeous! It’s like a sweeter, smoother Infusion d’Iris. Has a bit of a modernized L’Heure Bleue feel, but still gives off that vintage powder compact vibe. A sweetened amber powdery chypre, with a classy old-school touch. Kinda like Rochas Tocade, but more powdery and denser. Makes me feel like a noble goddess in a velvet toga and satin shoes, gracefully walking up the opera steps. Sublime. Love it! ❤️

I am so surprised by how amazing this thing smells and even more surprised it's only a 3.5! this is easily my favorite from this house, it smells like a coconuty creme pie with a slight hint of woodiness and orange. This would be perfect to wear during a tropical vacation or even a beach like setting. Love this and will be looking to buy a full bottle.

I absolutely love this! I It’s like being in a large forest, but I also smell something refined, balsamic rose, cacao and just maybe a little incense. The citrus keeps it fresh. I’ve never smellt anything quite like this and will definitely buy the full bottle for autumn and winter.

Another great release from Giardini di Toscana. Rosso Rubino is for the lovers of fruity aromatic fragrance. The berries and citruses are prominent from opening till dry down. Not very woody, imo. The longevity is so good with delectable sillage.

This is sexy and honestly my favourite from the house. There is something about this that makes me feel more confident and powerful. It is unique and memorable. Definitely worth to sample at least, it's one of those 'baddie' scents.

Totaly unisex. Great,great,great! One of a kind. Nothing smells similar,as I can remember. I would make mistake if I would say that this is rose fragrance....Such a good mix.

I like it a lot I need to get a full bottle now that I swapped my sample.

Cocoa Rose The opening is marked by a very clean citrus note—possibly bergamot—which gives the scent a crisp and orderly start. It feels as if the air has been cleared, allowing the rest of the composition to come through more distinctly. Very quickly, the cocoa note becomes prominent. It reads as a dry powder rather than sweet chocolate. There is no creamy richness; instead, it carries a slight bitterness typical of raw cocoa. The rose, in turn, moves away from its usual associations of sweetness or lushness. Against the cocoa backdrop, its sweetness is restrained, presenting more as a cool, dry rose. As the fragrance develops, oakmoss and patchouli introduce a dry, slightly earthy nuance. This stage brings a subtle soil-like character that adds depth and texture. In the drydown, the overall impression settles into a dry woody and mossy base with a gentle warmth and only a trace of sweetness. Personally, it is a composition I find very appealing.

I really didn't like this at first when I smelled it on paper, but then I tested it on skin for a couple of days and I fell in love. There's a tangy note at the beginning which made me discover about myself that I actually like citrus perfumes, then comes the rose and cacao which make me literally fall in love. I like to layer it with Bianco Latte to tame down the peppery notes and honestly I cannot recommend it enough. You should definitely try it. Get the discovery set and mix and match, you'll find all fragrances from Giardini di Toscana are wonderful in their own way and work together wonderfully.

This smells like a Lush store to me, not even a specific product, but the scent you smell when you enter a store or even just pass by a store on the street. I love that smell and have been looking for one and ironically Lush does not have one (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't tried all of their perfumes). This one is not spot on of course, but it reminds me of that smell. Also the performance exceeds that of the other perfumes from this brand by far. I put it on at night and could still smell it the next morning. I put it on in the morning and could smell it in the evening. Love it.

Smells like coconut cake topped with a spicy orange and cacao powdered sugar. Gets muskier as it dries on my skin, and the spiciness gets more prominent. This is a great autumn/winter scent, projects very strongly. I'd look into a full bottle once my sample is complete.

Just here to add that it lasts FOREVER on clothing. I have this piece of cloth that I abuse by spraying perfume on it, and after what now is a WHOLE YEAR, I can still smell rosso rubino on it VERY WELL

Love this one. Beautiful opening with a soft rose... Gives pleasant wafts throughout the wear. Dries down to the same DNA as Black Tie and Gold (Bold).

On strip tester - initial sharp spices with vanilla to soften. I'm getting florals as well, and cocoa now - zero fruits. 5 minutes: Already with the strip on the other side of my desk - it's kicking out spiced vanilla with a hint of chocolate, but I'm also getting rose and lemon zest? This is projecting off the strip like a beast - probably blooming with hedione, amboxide and galaxolide. The lemon zest + rose combo floating above chocolate vanilla is actually a very clever contrast. 20 minutes in: The rose is fresh - like rose petals in champagne There's something incredibly familiar about this - like a scent that was used in something from back in the 90s - but I can't pinpoint it.....yes I can Lancôme Trésor! 2 Hours: Cadbury's drinking chocolate mixed with baby powder and a sharp metallic top edge Final review: Rubino has turned into sweet makeup drawer/bag territory. I was expecting to find a tampax, a photo booth strip and a lipbalm next to it. Definitely more feminine leaning. This is Trésor with a bit of Bianco Latte mixed in. Strong projection for about 4 hours but changes rapidly to powdery vanilla as the drydown.

I can detect Cashmeran very easily in this one. I'd describe it as a spicy cashmeran.It definetely has an earthy base, as cashmeran tends to be, but on top it has spicy notes, pepper for sure, and something warm, which i cannot really pinpoint (some kind of ultra peppery cinnamon). High projection, can be detected meters away upon spraying, lasts pretty long too, at least on hair/clothes. Nice evening/nighttime scent, smells quite refined and expensive. Best for colder weather. I am considering buying a full bottle after sampling it (i ordered bianco latte and this came In the box too as a sample). I started to like it progressively, now I am close to buying a full bottle. I would recommend sampling before buying, see if it grows on you.

I have mixed feelings about Rosso Rubino. When I first apply it I get alternating whiffs of cacao, citrus, and berries. It’s interesting, fairly unique, though there’s a note here that reminds me of something I can’t seem to figure out. This fragrance is very long lasting, and that is where it becomes a problem for me. After the interest of the opening and after it has dried down, several hours later, it has a vaguely lactonic powdery plasticy floral vibe that I don’t love. At this stage I’m tired of it and ready to scrub it off. I really enjoyed the first few hours, but whatever this morphs into seems to linger on my skin forever.

This fragrance feels like a playful blend of rose jam, bubblegum, chocolate, and cola... perhaps the most childlike creation in this series. Once again, there’s a gentle wave of nostalgia running through it, one that unexpectedly carried me back to my childhood. It’s whimsical and evocative, but not something I feel drawn to revisit. Will I smell it again, or actively seek it out? Probably not. Still, it added a distinct chapter to my olfactory journey, and for that alone, it was worth experiencing. I really loved this upon first sniff. I’m really warming up to chocolate notes in perfumes, it rounds out floral notes beautifully well. However, I have to admit that this scent is STRONG and lingers forever on clothing. With one spray on my wrist I could smell it for hours and I quickly grew overwhelmed by how potent it was. Sometimes less is more.

Very thoroughly blended, thus not so prone to smell individual notes, but in the beginning there was clearly lemon tart with meingue topping directly from the oven. Later we go through tangerines to dull rose and ending is some indistinguishable sweet hard candy. Nothing woody nor cacao in it. Sweet but not unusable, edges to gourmand a little.

Lemons and some greens som cacao, interesting but seems like something is missing.

First spray: immidate citrus, smells like old lady and pionees.. reminds me of something from my childhood. Like you're in your mothers wardrobe looking at all the little gucci and prada perfumes she has for show and u drop one, now it stinks up the entire room and ur shame with it. An hour in: the rose is very overpowering and not pleasant. Headache inducing and sad as i cannot for the life of me feel rhe berries nor cacao.. It's a very strong perfume that i accidently dropped in my cup of tea lol but it stinks all over me, never againn

This was one of those rare fragrances that made me stop and pay attention from the very first spray. It feels like a deep crimson aura rather than a perfume. Rich and sensual, yet surprisingly respectful of your personal space. It never overwhelms you or tries to prove anything. It simply exists around you with quiet confidence. There is something incredibly velvety about it. Not soft white velvet, but dark red velvet that seems to absorb light instead of reflecting it. Many fragrances that aim for a "dark feminine" aesthetic become loud, overly sweet, or dramatic. Rosso Rubino never falls into that trap. It feels intimate instead of performative. The note that completely won me over was the cocoa. It doesn't smell gourmand or edible. Instead, it adds depth and texture, making the fragrance feel like crimson velvet with shadows woven into it. It reminds me of rainy autumn afternoons, old books, dimly lit cafés, and that quiet confidence that doesn't need to ask for attention. It is sensual without trying to seduce, dark without becoming heavy, and elegant without ever feeling distant. One of the most emotionally captivating fragrances I have ever smelled.

This is a super strong fragrance, luckily the house sells customisable sample sets so you can sniff them without risking a blind buy, as Rosso Rubino is one of the riskier choices. To me, this is what magenta smells like, if that makes sense, the name is spot on. Super well blended, I would say it's suitable for more mature women: classy, elegant, I see her in a Chanel two-piece. It's spicy and powdery, quite sweet, the citruses in the opening are gone very quickly, so are the berries, the base notes are the main star here, at least to my nose. Definitely a cold weather scent, try before you buy! I also think the dry-down has a big part of the Bianco Latte DNA so there is no point in owning both, RR would be a more night/fall-winter scent while BL would be better suited during the daytime if that's your vibe, and can work well in early spring too.

The user who commented that this smells exactly like a Lush store is spot on. Took a break from Blu Indaco as I was initially drawn to that perfume first, but this has my attention way more, and almost instantaneously. I kept sniffing it over and over again, then it hit me how similar the drydown resembles Lord of Misrule! Albeit way more nuanced and way less rugged. This unfolded on my skin like a soft, sensual spice bomb, and it is currently skimming the musky/lived in note alongside a fluffy down of cashmeran tonka. It is very unique, I'll probably snatch it up once I have the funds to do so. I also wore it in 30 degree+ heat and it seems to translate well into warmer climates. Unusual, sophisticated, but grabs you like that chocolate cake you keep eyeing on the bakery counter.

Strong, decisive , but I would really enjoy wearing it. It takes me back to the beautiful image of a knight, who mixes the sweetness of his beauty with the hardness of his soul, with the virility of his image. “Knights on the Beach” painted by Giorgio de Chirico.

This opens quite lovely with rose, citrus, and a cinnamon type note that must be coming from the cacao. I do think it is unique amongst the popular rose patchouli pepper fragrances out there but unfortunately for me the drydown becomes very masculine. I love oakmoss, patch, and pink pepper so I suspect it is how the citrus combines with those notes that gives it a "cologne" feel. I don't get anything similar to Lord of Misrule as a previous person mentioned (and I love) but of course, we all smell different things. This is a unique long lasting rose fragrance for the right person, would be lovely on a man.

SOTD Rosso Rubino by Giardini Di Toscana 2/5 For me the first spray is spicy and warm. It’s a bit earthy and not a typical scent profile that I enjoy. The pepper comes through in a smooth way without itching my nose. I’m not getting any of the bergamot, orange, or lemon top notes. Settles into a warm spicy. Lasts about 5 hours on my skin with a 1 foot bubble. Not a purchase for me and it seems generic smelling and not a special perfume. Working through a purchased discovery set of the Giardini Di Toscana perfume house. Wore at home.

This one is in a different level. So many notes, but what I get is a spiced, orange Rum cake with tons of a thick vanilla caramel drizzle. There is a faint incense note in the background, like if you are eating this sticky boozy orange cake and you have a stick of incense burning in the house. It is not cloying, it's very well balanced. The pepper and patchouli are there but they are not intense on my skin, they feel almost fresh or minty. This is very nice and I want a full bottle. Love this.

I'm sampling from the discovery set and this one is my favourite by far. One of the most unique perfumes I've smelled in ages! It's fresh and peppery and has a hint of red fruit hiding within. A whiff of pomegranate or rhubarb that fully compliments any wood or spice. All notes are soft but present and balanced. There is something in this that is extremely nostalgic for me but I can't figure out what. My budget is tight but thinking this might be full bottle worthy.

I'm not gonna comment on the scent since it's not my taste but I can see how this can compliment a lot of other people. I just need to say that, for some unknown reasons, my cats go insane over this scent. They'd keep sniffing the spot I sprayed the perfume on me & biting it (playfully).

The cocoa and berries take center stage with a bit of citrus. Not sure I get much rose, maybe faintly as it dries down. This is a really pretty, girly fragrance. Reminds me a bit of Tezza’s Tea Party.

Vintage lady, hints of powdery lipstick in a good way, can imagine my mom wearing this in the 80's in a long red dress with a red lipstick ready for an evening gala.

Smokey? The patchouli is a little minty. There's a peppery note that's a little like Nishane Ani.
