Armani Code A-List

Armani Code A-List is very similar to the original Code but with better performance. The Armani quality is definitely there and I've recieved quite a few unsolicited compliments wearing this. I find the opening of A-List to be a bit more barbershop-ish, powdery & louder than the original Code. The dry down on A-List is also very similar to the modern day Code but with a touch more lavender & a lot more intense. Overall I really enjoy this for the cooler weather Fall/Winter and would highly recommend giving this a shot especially at some of the prices I see this selling for. I've even picked myself up some back up bottles I'm a big fan of Armani fragrances.

Older people don't like it so much because they're used to the Armani Code DNA. Younger people don't know about Code A-list and they are surprised when smelling it. THIS will get you better compliments than Dior Sauvage, Bleu De Chanel and JPG Le Male. It's almost as good for compliments and dates as Dolce & Gabanna The One. It has fresh attention grabbing citrus and sweet seductive tonka bean with a little smokiness, it's so underrated. Young ladies go crazy when they smell this on you. It lasts 5-6 hours which is enough for a date or general first impression. I wish it lasted a bit longer.

Smells great. This is the original code but with what seems to be more vanilla (due to the tonka absolute) and a bit more citrus. It’s not a mainly citrus fragrance though which I at first thought it would be. Hard to find nowadays but this is an underrated gem. The name is strange though , “A-List” makes it seem to me like this is a made for clubbing flanker, kind of like the name “one million” or something , which this is definitely not. This is subtle , masculine but soft. Beautiful blend. Can be worn on every occasion so I guess you can technically use it for the club :D

I own most of the Code flankers and this is by far the most worn. This is pretty much my signature scent. Very versatile for seasons and time of day. Non obtrusive yet classy. Let me clarify that I am old (60) so this scent takes me back as it has a 1960s barbershop vibe to me. It's not real strong scented nor have a huge sillage trail... but that's why I love it as I work in an office that may have people who are sensitive to strong scents. Does anyone know if this is or soon will be discontinued? I hope not.

I am sure that here many votes are fake. If you rate so high Armani Code you cannot vote so badly Code A list cause actually they are almost the same and they are just different on the opening. This one is more similar to Armani Code Profumo as soon as you spray it, while in the drydown they are absolutely the same. I own both of them and Armani code Colonia too..they are simply amazing! If you like one of them you cannot dislike the other two!

Fully agree raiza1990 it is sophisticated and at the same time fresh. Great for business environment - it will match great quality garments and freshly ironed shirt. It evokes a feelings of freshness with a nice sophisticated code DNA. I do not understand the amount of disslikes. It is safe even for blind buy.

The most wearable code, i find it not overwhelming like most of other code flankers, and the brightest one (except code colonia) I really enjoy it Performance for me is solid, i read comments complain the performance, i think they got fake ones Longevity easily +7 hours, projects well first 3 hours

Gosh just sprayed this on my skin again today while out looking and it opens up kinda meh but that dry down is heavenly!!!! OMG!!!!!! Has a carbonated vanilla soft drink kinda smells. I pulled the trigger on this today totally worth it!!! Super underrated and over hated GET YOUR NOSE ON THIS!!!!

I like it but it’s not in my top 10 or anything, it’s different semi sweet and fresh sophisticated but you can still pull it off in a leather jacket and jeans, only gripe is it’s a little too powdery but overall still nice to have it in my collection, colonia is my favorite one though.

Funny how this is soapy, creamy, fresh, barbershoppy and sweet at the same time. The smell is linear and so great. Not too sweet and not too fresh either. Longetivity is no issue for me, easily 8+ hours. Very sensual date worthy smell, also really versatile.

Wow this stuff smells amazing! First spray it’s kinda like ehhh it smells like everything else that’s fresh. But NO it dries down to this almost Smokey vanilla from the Tonka and wood maybe a tad bit peppery. I love it! Solid 8/10 for me

Smells like a less sweet version of Code EdP. If you have the EdP, you do not need to get this one. Do not get me wrong though, I love the EdP. So I also love this one. But it is not worth having both. Selling my bottles of A-List.

That being said, while it is certainly a high quality and enjoyable fragrance, it is not the pinnacle of the Armani Code line. Once Giorgio Armani Code A-List Men EDT has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, sweet (tonka), woody, and leathery (guaiac wood) fragrance with some lavender and very soft citrus accords. The fragrance feels delectable, casual, formal, inviting, leathery, masculine, modern, nocturnal, resinous, simple, sweet, warm, woody, and pleasant. BATCH REVIEWED: 2020. WOW RATING: 5/10. A basic, mostly tonka, woody leathery fragrance, good but unimpressive. DISLIKE RATING: 4/10. The leather accord from the guaiac wood is noticeable. Very nice fragrance! I love this line, it is the best perfume serie for men. A list has that distinctive code dna, but is fresher than the original. The lavender is clearly noticeable. I really like the way they combined darkness and freshness in this fragrance. It reminds me of Tom Ford's perfumes. It smells elegant, sensual and masculine. Would love to smell it on a man. It is a shame that it is a limited edition, because it is really good. I think, after the original, this is my favorite from this line. Sillage is close to the skin, can't talk about longevity yet. Who is this for? A mature, elegant and mysterious man.

To say this is your average run of the mill tonka based scent wouldn’t be wrong. This has been done before but this is also done right. It’s fresh and comforting. I get good longevity and decent projection. I like this better than Profumo as it’s more versatile. This fits in with Chanel Allure Homme Sport Extreme, it’s not a copy but shares some key notes. If you can find on discount it’s worth a pickup.

Quite good and very fresh. Very powdery, at least on my skin it is. To my nose, this smells like a mix of the original Armani Code, the freshness and tonka bean of Code Colonia and Profumo, and the powderiness of, strangely enough, Givenchy Pi Neo. Maybe its just my nose or skin chemistry. A nice casual or office fragrance.

To me this smells like prada black but not nearly as good, but it does not smell very similar to the original code due to the spicy note either, what comes to mind is armani code special blend, the scent is ok but nothing to write home about.

Just to sum it up, This version is probably the one that can be worn in All Seasons. Its the most versatile version. Its strong enough for the winter, light enough for Summer nights while still giving off the traditional Code DNA

While the original code is citrusy and dry, A-List is more soapy and powdery (a hint). Both are similar. A-List is elegant, manly, safe and very sexy (women love !). I feel confident when i wear this fragrance. Versatile, but in the cold months or during the evening. Generaly, A-List is more versatile than the original or Code Profumo. The performance is average-good. I'm proud to own this eau de toilette, because it's a limited edition.

I just tried this today and didn't like it. It's very generic and I'm disappointed, as I like most of the other Armani Code releases for men (EDT, Profumo, even Colonia). This is really light and bland. I'll pass. There is nothing sexy or sophisticated about this, it's just boring.

In my humble opinion...profumo flanker still reigns supreme. This is a safe scent but my least fav flanker from the Code line.

Smells like a orange suntan lotion

This is the same family as the original code, Le Male, Givency Pi Neo and others. Maybe its long lost brother would be Luna Rossa Sport, but I digress. The scent is awesome upon the initial spray, beautiful lavender blends in with the tonka bean and the citrusy notes up top make it really creamy. Soapy, clean, sexy and alluring, that's how I would describe this. I have been wearing it for the past couple of days and the performance is the main issue here. For me at least, it lasts at best 4-5 hours with very soft projection, I can't really tell if others will be able to smell this on me. It's really a shame because the scent itself is gorgeous. Very versatile, I think it could be worn in every season, day/night regardless of the age. An all around good fragrance which unfortunately lacks performance.

Oh dear. I found the opening to be poor, very generic messy and pretty pointless as yet another Code flanker. However, these thoughts did mellow as it settled down but that can be the case with so many bad fragrances. The main body is milky, minty, lavender, business but with a more heavy and sickly core of tonka bean. This dirtiness does subside and it becomes more of a softer vanilla but you have to live through what is not a unpleasant but has to be said, uninspiring fragrance in the meantime. The comparisons with le Male and Luna Rossa could be valid, but it's certainly no Invasion Barbare or Reflection Man. It's okay I suppose.

I was looking to buy one from the Code line and had never smelled this one so I thought: f* it, I can’t go wrong with any from this line so I’m pulling the trigger without sampling first. As expected, I absolutely love it. I’m not here to describe the scent ́cause I suck at it and others on here have a brilliant way of getting into the nitty gritty of the whole damn thing but it needs to be said: the Armani house honestly is just so damn good at making colognes, it’s crazy. YSL, Dior, Armani. They know their stuff and it shows in their scents.

Only one spray on my hand and this is my impression: A soft, easy to wear version of Code. It does have the Code DNA. I found this very pleasant. Slightly powdery and non-offensive, but still smelled great. Performance is average. In my fragrance journey I've come to appreciate these types of scents. They stay close to the skin but smell very good.This fragrance is the opposite of screechy, loud, or offensive, and the smell is interesting and good. I bought a decant of this and the scent could be summed up as: tonka heavy masculine baby powder.

This smelled cheap and 'chemically' to me. Almost nasty and I never thought a scent in the Code line would come across nasty, but this one... I don't know. I think it's the lavender that I'm not liking (I don't historically like that note in fragrances unless there is something sweet like vanilla paired with it). Too aromatic for my taste. I do really enjoy the original Code, especially that gorgeous vanilla dry down.

I have a French dupe 50ml and it's unreal. unreal. s o good smell. pure joy of life, so erotical This is a fragrance for the cold nights and evenings in the city, where people live, date, go to restaurants, laugh. This is what original code 2004 smells like probably. this shit is unreal good

If armani code Profumo had sex with jpg le male that would be the baby..with 70% of the genetics would be from the armani code.. I kinda like it over the code absolu this one lacks the synthetic vanilla note and fresher so it's kinda more versatile.. Nothing crazy about it tho

It's good for a freashy!!! Definitely gunna be wearing this one when it warms!!!this is an excellent pick up for that dont think and go!!my favorite part is it has a barbershop feel to it! With some sweetness in the back ground to make it interesting!!!! Perfect name a list!!!

Lavender and TONKA BEAN upfront. By the way it is very pleasant and I believe it is the closest to the OG that came in 2004.
