Its neither Fresh nor Sweet, its an Neither here nor there fragrance overhype by old people. I ♥ Code Profumo (Sweet Clubbing Winter Beast), so everyone tell me I must check out the original Armani Code and how great it is. Well, I got both samples of Code Colonia and Armani Code side-by-side, and I wonder what the fuss is all about??? • Colonia is Fresher, Project Better, Last Longer (3~4hrs) • A.Code is Spicer, very low projecton, last only 2hrs • Colonia is loved by 15+ people I'd ask • A.Code is a neither fresh, nor sweet, and failed to gather any compliments. I think Armani Code was revolutionary back in the 90s, but by 2018, its has become a very mediocre fragrance with horrible performance. Colonia - on the other hand - is severely TRASH by old people, but when I do a blind test (not tell people what's on my left/right wrist). Everyone end up choosing Colonia over original. The only thing I don't like about Colonia is the price, other than that, this is my 2nd favorite CODE after my Code Profumo.

Solid fragrance, versatile and a good DNA from Armani. I do pick up the synthetic smells from this fragrance, but to my nose they’re not bothersome. You get an initial blast of bergamot and a orange esc smell. Lasts all but 2 minutes. Then you get the main players, Tonka and the Amberwood notes. While the base notes start to take over it’s almost as if the “amber” in the note has some ambroxan/ambergris because you get a bit of a refreshing, cool smell coming from the fragrance as it starts to develop. The freshness lasts about 30 minutes, while the tonka, amberwood, and semi floral heliotrope do their thing. After about an hour and into 2 hours all you’re really left with is a nice warm, sweet, tonka bean, woody sweetness, slightly floral smell that lasts for about 6 hours. Overall a good purchase. Can be considered generic but I appreciate the fragrance for what it is. A aromatic, tonka, woody scent with a bit of a twist. Sillage:7 Projection:7.5 Longevity: 7 Overall: 8 Although performance isn’t the best around I like this scent a lot, would rebuy just to have a nice all season, woody/sweet fragrance. Plus I really like the Armani house as a whole. Get this if you like said notes, and said scent profile!

This is a nice little edition for the armani code lineup. My best mate owns the original armani code which I quite like. So when I saw this one had hit the shelves I tried it and instantly loved it. It smells gorgeous straight out of the bottle and just keeps getting classier as the notes start opening up. I think armani nailed the 'daytime' scent quite well, it's very versatile but just has that smart /casual and pleasent Aurora about it. My only gripe is the longevity with this one. They really should of released a perfume which I would of happily paid more for. I find it day to day quite inconsistent. Sometimes it can be on my skin for 6 hours before starting to really fade. Some sprays only seem to last about 2-3 hours and then I have to reapply. Wearing it on my first day to work I reapplied it 4 times. Amazing flanker from armani. Has the same umph as the original and porfumo but just dies of too quickly. If you're a heavy user definitely go for the 125ml. Better value for money aswell. 7.7/10

Essentially the best way to describe this is it is like the lightest blue ever. Slightly powdery, citrus, tonka bean, a DASH of florals in the background. Kinda reminds me of baby powder with a dash of citrus. Its funny it basically smells the way you would think the color of the fragrances liquid would smell. Seeing it compared to Eros is crazy, I smell the initial spray/top notes up close and it smells A LITTLE bit like a lighter eros edt, like 40%. But the dry down ends up going a different way. Definitely not as sweet and juvenile. I find this completely delectable honestly. Performance is pretty dang good for me honestly. Above average. Super versatile. At the time of this review, I give it a 9/10. Only con is I have to be in the mood to wear this. GRAB THIS BEFORE ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AND IF YOU DONT LIKE IT SELL ME THE BOTTLE LOL. This is nothing like the rest of the armani line. (I used to love profumo and absolu until my nose changed and now I find them cloying unfortunately)

I really like this fragrance and find it's somewhat an aquatic scent with some citrus, amber and soft florals elements. It's great for summer, but can see wearing this year round. I got a 125ml bottle for a very good price and I'm happy with it. Having said that I do not feel it's worthy of anything near full retail. The big knock on this is performance. If this was done ala Profumo style it would be fantastic, but sadly I get max 4 hours out of it. I read one review in here where they said they get 10+ hours out of it and to me that's a head scratcher lol. It smells very nice for the first hour or two depending on what I'm doing, but then it sits very close to the skin. If you can grab this one on the cheap I say go for it as it's a crowd pleaser and inoffensive. If you're in a brick and mortar and tempted to pay top dollar I'd highly recommend getting a sample or at least spraying some on for a walk around the mall to see if you feel the performance on you will justify the price.

This is a nice fragrance, forget what people here say that smells like a mall, or Eros, or Y LP, or Prada Luna Rossa, etc. not at all. This is a flanker that sits between Code Profumo and Code Absolu, and it does smell like a mix of them, because of the Mandaring, Orange Blossom, and Tonka Beans, but downgraded a tad because obviously is an EDT. It does not smell like the OG EDT or the EDP. The opening is strong (similar to its flankers) but fresh because of the pepper with tints of bergamot, then after about an hour it settles into a nice masculine scent that dissipates over the next 4 hours. I ́m in hour 6 and is hard to smell it, in hour 3 it was still a skin scent. Good if you ́re the type of person that likes to use an EDT during the day, then an EDP for goint out at night. Good for summer and hot days (sillage is a beast during the first half an hour), it is like a summer version of Profumo/Absolu.

Really nice fragrance, I see many bashing on the performance but I will totally disagree with that statement! One spray of this fragrance last well over 5 hours on my forearm and would’ve still kept going if I didn’t have to shower and wash my arm off. I was still able to smell this under my skin after a good shower. Very nice oil on this fragrance very good performance for me at least. Sadly discontinued,but just purchased two 4 ounce bottles from a trusted source. Overall smell, this fragrance DNA is quite simple and smells like many other manly musky fragrances on the market but has some uniqueness to it. I usually wear sweeter fragrances so this was a total neck snapper for me. Typical fresh top notes and musky dry down. Simple but done quite well. Give this frag a chance if you can find one for cheap.

I've used many of the Code line; the original Code, Profumo, Ultimate, and I have also tried Sport a few times. I can say that Colonia is simply the most pleasant for me. It smells just right, not too sweet, not too dark, not too freshy sporty. It is just right. No off-putting note. I can see myself grabbing it often as it is very easy to use, especially in hot country like here. It is less sweet and less thick than Profumo, and it is brighter than Code and Ultimate. It is just right. And luckily, a bonus is that I get pretty good longevity from this. After 8 hours, I can still smell it somewhere (I spreyed 2 on my neck sides and a few on my shirt) In conclusion, Colonia is my new go-to fragrance which I can wear everyday with full confidence.

i dont get it...why so much hate people?did you all buy a bottle or sample it enough?its an amazing take on original code...while the profumo took an obvious one million turn to make it power packed winter scent, this baby was toned down with the original scent for the summer.looks cool as hell, priced reasonably, lasts decent...little powdery and fresh...i see a great value cologne from a prestigious house.i tried this 4 times so far for the different part of the day..and i liked it every time...its a great day time scent, the original code dna is there and for casual and office work in spring and summer...great choice.ill give this a solid 8/10.must try on your skin guys :) i will buy and review this soon :)

Probably my favorite cologne ever. I have smelled both designer and niche, like 600+ fragrances during my time in the fragrance game, and this one comes down to my favorite. It was also the first fragrance I bought myself. I've smelled and owned the aventus's and layton's of the game, as well as the YSL's and Chanels's. But for me they simply do not beat this one, especially in terms of compliments. Just bought my third large bottle as a backup (first backup bottle I ever buy) as I heard it has been discontinued. I definitely hope they bring it back somehow if they decide to renew the code line with the new bottle style. This one is perfect for any occasion, summer and winter, office and clubs. Truly a gem!

My favorite from the code line. It is by no means "groundbreaking" but I have yet to find someone who doesnt like it. It is extremely well done. Performance is not beast mode but is good. I get 5-6 hours on 3-5 sprays. At 8-10 sprays, I still smell it at the end of an 11 hour work shift. Type of person wearing this: The "observer" of the group. Not the guy who is looking for attention. He is the guy who is mostly quiet but will crack a good one liner when called upon. He is the guy that doesnt show it but is smart, creative, and works hard to achieve dreams. In conclusion: I love this scent. Performance is decent enough. It is good for almost any situation. Solid composition. I will rebuy when it gets low.

Code was my signature scent for around 3 bottles worth, then I bought the Profumo version when it came out, my wife thought it was to loud. But overall it got complemented. Colonia is a good flanker and could be worn all seasons anytime. I really think Armani scents are known for this. It has descent performance on me, starts off citrusy with a pepper kick and gradually dries down to a buttery smooth Tonka and amber wood dry down. Oh...and my wife really likes this one. I really don’t get the synthetic vibe as much as some others but on me it projects for 1 to 2 hours and was still there on me after six hours. I really so far don’t think I have has a bad Armani scent. This is a solid 8 for me.

#1045 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I like this better than original Code. The olive flower note of the original was kinda off-putting for me. This is very close to Chanel "Allure Homme Edition Blanche" and Kenzo "Aqua Pour Homme" though the pepper is not as strong or long-lasting as the Kenzo. Mildly spicy citrus and tonka. Nothing wild or usual. If you're fine wearing any of the Azzaro "Chrome" scents you'll be fine wearing this too. Completely inoffensive, so okay for the car pool, elevator, small office. It's a casual scent with fair longevity and sillage for this note combination, but I'd respray at lunch. This will be a summer scent, beach wear for me.

Okay, this is a very nice scent. I find Profumo and Absolu highly sweet and cloying and however original one's the best scent in the group (totally classic!), sadly the performance suck now. Colonia's performance is really good and the scent is very nice. On the other hand I really struggle about when should I put this on me. This scent is not sexy or attractive ,guys...You can't use it on dates or the possibility of the nights you can meet with them...Tonka bean note is too intense for gyms so, pass on that too...And finally I find myself to use it only on Sunday brunches with friends kind of times which is not satisfying :/

This is already available in Douglas shops in Hungary. It starts off in a similar way as profumo but in a less sweeter and much airier, fresher way. After 10 minutes the top notes settle down and the code dna opens up with a floral touch. I don't really find the florals in this strong. It's the warmer, richer base notes which give this perfume its character. The heliotrope note is responsible for a softer, fresher smell compared to profumo, but still it's very similar. If profumo is for winter and a night out than colonia is for spring maybe even summer and daytime. I've got 6-8 hours longevity with moderate sillage.

Frankly speaking I do not understand negative comments on this. It is a truly interesting fresh take on the original, so representingnot only a summer choice but potentially an amazing and elegant day and office scent. Fresh, masculine and delicate, it does not pretend you to be serious but to leave with a smile. An aromatic fougere mainly centered around clary sage, softened by an amber trail. Do not expect the classic 'colonia accord', as the fresh start is quite quickly warmed up and toned down. Longevity is average, and it remain as a discrete trail. Potential signature.

I wore the original Code a lot back in 2007 and loved it. A few years later I bought it again and the scent had changed and didn't last nearly as long as it did before. Finally in 2019 I discovered Colonia after hearing great reviews and yes it definitely brings back the original Code before reformulation that I had so desired for the last 10 years. Performance is also much better than even the original Code was. I get a solid 8-9 hours with Colonia. I'm not sure if it's being discontinued or not because I actually bought the last bottle at my local department store.

FOR THOSE WANTING TRUTHFUL INFORMATION ON THIS FRAG: You can remove at least 20 "poor/soft" votes as they are bots racking up negative votes before fragrances are even released. They're hitting a lot of popular new releases - sometimes they rack up 20 positives, sometime negatives and it's always around 20 or so. This one is VERY nice off the top - fresh and pleasantly sweet, but not cloying or too sweet. I get about 6-7 hours with this and 2 hours projections. Solid for a fresh frag, but the opening is quite gorgeous.

Not sure what the hate is about. Its a fresh version of code. Its nothing original or unique. Its nothing artistic, but it is something that just smells good. Has freshness and gourmand elements in the same way allure sport extreme does it. I haven't tried allure sport extreme in a long time but from what I can remember I am not sure why people would hate this one but love that. I would say they are in the same genre. Scent 4/5 - for a generic fresh/vanilla scent Performance 3/5

I have nothing bad to say about this fragrance yet feel I should? Not getting the meh about this flanker. It's got the Code DNA. You can smell the Profumo side. It's fresh. It's pleasant and will garner compliments. It lasts. It projects. It's relatively cheap. What's not to love? It's not unique? No. it's not. But it does all of the above and just how much more do you want from a fragrance? Scent 8.5/10 Longevity 9.5/10 Sillage 8.5/10 Buy this.

I was looking for a frag to freshen me up after flying long haul, A person I was travelling with randomly sprayed this on me and I fell in love straight away I had them show me what it was so I could buy it. Being a frag head I wanted to test the longevity before buying so I waited till I got home.. unfortunately it’s not long lasting but I think I would purchase on smell alone and just overspray as I like it that much

I think this a nice fragrance and very versatile. What i get out of this is like the opening of Armani Code Profumo. This one has way less of the tonkabean. It's a sweet candy like smell, but not cloying and smells pleasant. Nothing outstanding tho, but you can wear it all year around every occasion. This is an lasting fragrance, i did get 6-8 hours out of it. But i think it is too expensive now

Interesting fragrance. Similar to Lockon,I get creamy tonka in the opening. It doesn't smell creamy on paper, and once it dries down I lose all cream and get a green floral base. It smells good and definitely signature worthy. Original code was to sweet on my skin so this flanker is welcome! It's projection is good, it's really versatile to be dressed up or down. Top 5? No. Top 40? Yeah.

This is a wonderful flanker backed by a very appreciated DNA! I don't get why people could hate on this. Longevity is surprisingly good, especially for a "cologne" flanker! Washed my hands many times throughout the day, took a good hot shower and now I could still smell the remaining tonka drydown, however it gets slightly spicy than before. Don't miss on this one!

Scent: 10/10. Love the citrus opening. Drydown similar to ACP but softer version. Projection: Moderate, arm's length. Longevity: Becomes skin scent after 2 hours on my skin. Compliments: 8/10 Occasion: -Office -Close encounter Overall: 9/10 I wear this to work as it's not too loud of a scent. Love the smell, I'm addicted to it and I don't mind reapplying.

It's an amazing fragrance. It smells so good. Perfect for wearing during the day (office, university, etc). The projection is average, but who said that all fragrances have to be smelled from a mile away? I've received many compliments. My girlfriend insisted to try it after watching the Stenmark twins campaign video. I'm glad I got it.

One of my favourite scents, especially for evenings. Code DNA, but has a really nice, different twist to it. On my skin it feels sweet, marzipan like smell. I would call this a safe blind buy, but not something I would recommend for every day. I wore this from 24-28 and think thats a good age, would avoid if you're older.

I swear this is discontinued. Havent been able to find the 75ml since last year. Armani website also neither confirmed or denied if it is. They just said they have a few 100ml bottles left to sell. UPDATE : Asked another Armani sales person and she said its NOT discontinued so phew im relieved.

This smells so amazing at first its insane, fresh and sweet just perfect, too perfect. Because it's gone within a couple hours and if you sweat its barely even a skin scent after. Sucks because it really is one of the best fragrances Ive ever smelled.

I absolutely love this one! Armani Code Colonia is soft, fresh, invigorating and uplifting! A great fragrance for spring, summer and autumn. It's a soft and very pleasant scent but it's not the best option for the really hot summer days.

if generic has no particular property then it is not the case with colonia code _colonia is ideal against heat - _improves my mood - _absolutely it descends from its progenitor very particular qualities that can be appreciated by me

This is both fresh and creamy. The sweetness is not cloying at all for a blue fragrance. I pick up quite a bit of mint in the mid even though it's not an official note. To sum it up, this is an elegant fresh moodlifter.

Man is this gorgeous. Aside from the glue like opening, it's a watery Armani code with a green note in there. Like forest green but fresh. And also spices. May need a bottle of this, so uplifting....

I don't get the negative reviews.. i wore this to work I received 7 compliments from women between 25 and 40 within the first two hours. This is niceeee. Fresh version of the original

It’s smells like a weaker version of Absolu . Which why the 4.2 bottle is cheaper because you have to spray more to get your bang for your buck. Get the absolu over this if you can.

This one is quickly becoming a go to fragrance in my collection. The tonka bean and citrus notes together are very well done. It just smells good and I like smelling good.

It smells like a spicy orange Dreamsicle ice cream. It doesn’t last that long thought so I forget I have it in my collection. Safe choice for just about any occasion.

I bought two 125ml bottles of this , what can I say more .. It's very likeble, lady pleaser with good longevity, and also very versatile.

I actually felt like this was more similar to the original than Profumo. I really don't get the downvotes. Smells really nice to me.

I gifted it to my uncle. Nice pleasant fragrance. Gorgeous, citrus, aromatic, fresh, and clean scent.

Great fragrance and should easily be over a 4 rating with the likes of Jimmy Choo and others being above this. Sadly, this got downvoted before even released like so many others. However, it's still a great Armani Code DNA all year style fragrance that is one of the only two from the Code Line that I prefer: This 🔝, & Absolut are the only Armani Codes I have loved. I give it a 8 out of 10 overall still in 2022 just because the performance & silage is still far superior to those other lower cheapies(minus certain ones like Rasasi's, WBN, & others) such as your Jimmy Choos, Coaches, etc($30-50 range) and this still has that lovely Code DNA without being too cloying like Profomo was. I'm actually glad this ☝️ isn't as hyped up by the YT influencers as much as others though, b/c if it were...we all know the prices would be much higher for a fragrance that is still one of my Top 10 Complimenting Designer "Dumb Reach" grabs that can be worn anyday of the year. And I've read the opening in others, but if you can allow the opening of the original CDMNI EDT to die down, then trust me...this opening is considered a 10 in my mind still. Again, I think it should be overall above a 4 rating, but got a lot of idiots downvoting it prior to even being released. However, it's also a good thing for those of us who collect with 50+ Fragrances like myself from Designer, to Niche', to smaller Houses.:.so we know about this 'somewhat' hidden gem. If I'm paying around the $50-70 range for a tester on a Discounter; & I already own so many and the choices start narrowing down b/w the likes of say a "Polo Deep Parfum/MB/etc(which is great and also mango opening is really intriguing with truly capturing the OG Polo Blue line back when it was still an incredible scent). Just worse performance & not the best longevity when beginning to compare "Designer" Frags in this price range. Still though & albeit fragrances are subjective, best two Armani Codes are Absolut & Colonia!!!

Bought this because of Jeremy Fragrance... SMH! It's a nice fragrance, very creamy & sweet. But not for me. My co-workers love it. And just asked what the name of it was. About to go to Macy's and buy one. I had to sit them down and explain what the gray market was and yes they're real. They bought about $200 plus of fragrances a piece, from fragrancenet because it's 37% off. I think i just made two new monsters. SMFH. Seriously! Anyway if you love tonka bean with a creamy/woody background this is for you. I used six sprays...both wrist, back & front of my neck, chest, and front of my shirt. Will I buy this again? No. What's the strength of this? EDT. Does this fragrance enter BEAST MODE, good, just okay or weak sauce at best? Good. Can you use it as a unisex scent? Yes. Am I willing to trade this fragrance?
