I purchased the original Armani Code many years ago when it first came out. It was such a fantastic fragrance but many abused it just like they have abused many other mass appealing fragrances like Sauvage or Eros EDT. That’s why I made the decision to not repurchase it after I finished that bottle. After reading the great reviews this new take on the original had been getting I had to get a sample to try it myself and Jesus Christ... nostalgia hit me like a train in the best possible way. I don’t even know how they manage to keep the original’s DNA completely intact with such a different note breakdown. This is VERY similar to the original EDT but with a very powdery, sweet and beautiful dry down. The opening has some citrus to it that just vanishes in a matter of seconds, only to leave the cleanliness, soapy smell of the newly added lavender plus the sweetness of the tonka bean. The leather of the original has been replaced by Suede, which makes it softer, sophisticated but still very masculine. I honestly loved this fragrance the moment I put it on. It was the perfect comeback to the Armani Code line in my case and will be using this one a lot during the colder months. As far a projection and sillage, it’s not really a beast. I can report a decent 6-8 hrs of longevity which is a bit of a let down considering this is supposed to be a more concentrated EDP version but the fragrance itself makes up for it. Now that this one is out I must say the original has become somewhat redundant. You could still wear it on warmer days since this is one is sweeter and softer but I wouldn’t come back to the “original”, especially after the most recent reformulations.

This is my favorite fragrance. The scent profile is seriously addicting. Received a sample with my Absolu order and I couldn't stop thinking about it after it ran out. Code EDP is soft, clean, and powdery. Mass appealing in the best way. Phenomenally blended. Opens with laundry fresh, powdery-sweet goodness and citrus with a healthy dose of lavender. The citrus is short lived, revealing the intoxicating blend of creamy, powdery tonka, vanilla, and suede that this one is really about. This is elegant and masculine, great for the office or date night. Daytime, nighttime, signature scent, special events, this one will work during the cooler months. I wish I could say it is perfect; performance for me is underwhelming. It's longevity is okay, I can usually expect 5 or 6 hours. This one sits very close to the skin, though. Applying Vaseline and Iso E Super beforehand helps to project this one off of skin. I definitely recommend spraying more than usual to form a nice scent bubble. It is also very linear for what it's worth to you, but I don't think I can hold that against it. Batch code: 38W102V (01/2022 formulation). This scent profile is just magical. 9/10. If you have any recommendations of fragrances with a comparable scent profile and better projection, do not hesitate to shoot me a message.

Armani Code Eau de Parfum (EDP) is an aromatic, powdery-floral and vanilla fragrance. The opening is slightly citrusy and spicy, at this stage it reminds me of the original Code but it's a little sweeter. Minutes later, a powdery lavender is perceived, very aromatic and pleasant, accompanied by a vanilla and slightly chocolatey, woody and leathery accord. The aroma is very rich, attractive and sexy, giving me a resemblance to Le Male Le Parfum. Code EDP is a sensual fragrance, ideal for dates or romantic outings, or office work, because it is not intrusive either, also to be used in cool or cold weather, in autumn and winter it is an excellent option. It is a fragrance easy to like, for people who enjoy sweet and vanilla fragrances. Its longevity with me was very good, about 10 hours, and with regular sillage for the first hour and then it decreases until it is close to the skin. I loved its aroma, since it has a style very similar to Le Male Le Parfum, which is a fragrance that I also really like. Code EDP is less powerful and better for office use and more versatile than Le Male Le Parfum or the Profumo and Absolu versions, for that reason this version of Armani Code is my favorite and will be the one I will buy.

This is my personal favorite of the Armani Code line, even compared to Absolu and the Parfum. The EDP is bright, clean, and powdery throughout the entirety of its life on my skin, while having just enough of an underlying sweetness from vanilla and tonka to give it more depth. Smooth suede is present in the background, and becomes more apparent in the dry-down, keeping the fragrance decidedly masculine. It's neither as bright nor aldehydic as the Parfum, nor is the vanilla and suede as pronounced as in the Absolu. The notes are well balanced and well represented. The balance between freshness and sweetness make the EDP very versatile, and could be worn for just about any occasion at any time of the year. Even though I love Absolu (and got a 200ml backup bottle as soon as I learned about the discontinuation), I find myself reaching for the EDP way more often. With L'Oreal relaunching the entire Armani Code line, I'm not holding my breath that the EDP will simply be repackaged in a new bottle, but I remain hopeful that it won't be axed outright like Absolu and Profumo were. Still, if you like this particular scent, I'd strongly consider getting a bottle soon, just in case.

In love with this scent as it’s very similar to the OG Black Code(when Armani Code had strength before the reformulations) This is quite linear for the most part but quite an attractive scent all the way through !! It opens up slightly citrusy, semi dark, but also creamy and smooth. Differences between the opening and mid are as it dries down it loses that citrusy edge and the vanilla takes over but even in the dry down the citrus is there giving it a fresh/soapy touch. Words I’d use to describe this scent are alluring, attractive, sexy, while also being soft, warm, elegant and professional. It’s also very versatile because as it can be great for nights out and with the adjustment of sprays can be great for the office and it’s also great all year round maybe with the exception of super hot days. Performance is exactly what you would expect with an EDP as it lasted 10-16 hours but with moderate projection the first hour but afterwards a little more than a skin scent BUT with good silage. This has cracked my top 5 favorite as well as complimented scents !! Overall rating -9 out of 10 !! Amazing smell that will get attention without being too loud

The snobs are in full force on this one. It’s laughable reading some of these reviews and quite easy to spot the haters 😂 Ladies and gents... As a proud owner of a 2009 and a 2011 bottle of the original armani code, this is a throwback and actually pays homage to the edt. This opens with a nice blast of vanilla, and lavender and a touch of citrus, nothing too zesty, but you can pick up the bergamot and lemon for sure. As for the vanilla, it isn’t a sweet syrupy vanilla, but a more rounded and refined vanilla. You can smell the tonka sitting in the back waiting to make their grand entrance. The citrus slowly dies off and the lavender, vanilla and tonka take over in the heart. What follows next is a suede and musky smell with a hint of woods. The lavender, to my nose lasts throughout most of the frag. And as an added...this is very long lasting on my skin. 10 plus hours with 2-3 hours of projection. No olive leaf, no star anise, no tobacco, no problem. The note breakdown doesn’t do the scent justice. This WILL make the edt obsolete. As a man that used code edt as a signature scent for YEARS, this is a 10/10 for me. Welcome back Code OG.

In my opinion, its a nice sweet smell, its to the point i can say it can be a unisex fragrance, so dont expect it to be masculine. I got it just because ive heard it smells like the og, and it does im not gonna lie. Once your spray it on its just a mess of wtf you cant even tell its armani code, but once it drys the scent bubble is og armani code with just a liiiitle more sweetness i could say. One thing that bugs me its that when you get your nose close up to the skin to get a better smell it smells armani code mixed with... one million... like why? Idk its weird but still its a very nice fragrance, its a nostalgic one to me it reminds me of my dad when i was like in middle school and he used to wear the og at the time. So with that said i dont find it to be such a "compliment getter people will go crazy on you for how you smell" type of fragrance. I got other fragrances on my mind that get me on my sexy feels and cant wait to spray it on type of vibe. so yeah 7/10

I tried it several times and finally bought it. It smells so good when I applied it today I instantly yelled out "FUCK!!" with an involuntary nosegasm-upwards-eyeroll. It is so fresh and deep at the same time. It has layers and depth to it that are noticable right away. I pick up delicious lavender, sweet and deep tonka bean and a very clean musk. It smells like a luxury clean soapy cumarin spice with some powder. I can't stop smelling myself. This is my signature from now on. The Parfum released last month is also nice, but is more powdery and aldehydey, and lacks the spicy musk soap that this has. 5/5. Projection is moderate to long lasting and sillage is within an arms length, how it should be. You don't want to announce your arrival by people smelling you. When they re-release it with the updated design I'll get it once I've run out of this. They guy below must be confusing this with Fahrenheit, there is NO gasoline in this. Maybe it's the coumarin he smells.

UPDATE: I sprayed 2 sprays on my hand in Myers store yesterday at 3:00PM. By 10:00PM that night it was still faintly, projecting. Not yet a skin scent. Woke up at 6:30AM this morning. Smelled my hand, yep. Could still smell it as a skin scent. Gorgeous original Armani Code DNA Mysterious, sweet, seductive, powdery, yet fresh. Simply amazing To sum up performance in terms of longevity is great as I have stated above, Projection is very moderate, but this is THE Armani Code DNA. It's purpose is not to fill a room, never has been. In terms of scent, as I have stated in my previous review. Those fairly new to fragrance or with an untrained nose will not smell any difference between this and the Original Code EDT. The more experienced noses will definitely pick up the Vanilla based sweetness in this. I will definitely be buying a full bottle of this for Autumn and winter wear here in Australia. 10/10 fragrance, it's 99% the original with double the performance!

Got a tester of this recently. Fresh, aromatic opening with some soapy tendencies. The mid is more soapy and clean and the base is mainly tonka bean with a clean musk. Reminds me of a brand of wet wipes but much more luxurious. The scent itself is really well put together in a way I have never really smelled before. The notes are distinct and quite easy to separate. It just smells really high quality and expensive. Overall it‘s quite masculine and to my nose something more of a mature scent. It’s not really my cup of tea since I‘m a younger guy but you can‘t argue with this fragrance being a masterpiece in the category of sweet fougere fragrances. I can‘t really speak too much on the longevity and sillage since I only own a tester but it seems to be at the level the ratings on here suggest. It‘s very versatile but i‘d say it will probably excel in more mild weather. Scent: 8/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 8/10 Versatility: 8/10 Price: 6/10 Overall: 7,4/10

The gold cap may as well be a gold medal. This is the best Armani Code formulation in my opinion. Very strong powder/iris accords, which the vast majority of men's fragrances shy away from nowadays, but which Armani Code embraces with pride. These notes give it a 'clean' quality above all else - if you want to smell (and feel) as 'clean' as possible, like a new bar of soap, this one's for you. The main criticism of this fragrance centre in on its allegedly limited longevity/sillage, but I would say this is more a case of noseblindness. At times of the day when I feel like I stop smelling it on myself, others tell me they can smell it just fine. You could call this a downside, if you like to wear something you can smell just as strongly off yourself as the day goes on. It doesn't really bother me. On the plus side, I believe this fragrance can be comfortably worn at any time of year or at any occasion. An extremely versatile safe buy.

Absolutely love this stuff. The original Code EDT was actually my intro to more oriental/warm fragrances, and this is just a more rich and longer lasting version of that. It’s got just enough airy freshness to prevent it from being too sweet and thick, but it’s definitely a cozy, warm, comforting scent for me. Lavender gives it some barbershop vibes, the vanilla is rich and very soothing, and the lemon and leather give it some fresh/bitter bite and edge instead of just being a floral/sweet gourmand. Easily one of my favorites and I will wear it no matter the weather, works best at night though, and shines in cooler weather. Sophisticated and classy while still being approachable and just downright cool. Sort of a James Bond type vibe- can rock it in a suit but it works just as well casual, makes you feel effortlessly suave in just khakis and a t shirt. Code EPD 2021 pulls it off flawlessly.

One of the best fragrances all around in my collection as well as one of my most complimented!! Really beautiful scent that's rich, classy, smooth, sexy powdery, but also fresh and just a little bit spicy ! This doesn't progress much as the scent develops but you do lose some of that freshness and it becomes more smooth and buttery. This scent gets better and better the longer it's on your skin. Performance on this is excellent as it lasts 12-16 hours with above average projection for 1 hour but after that it's a very nice and noticeable skin scent with great sillage.(The sillage is the strength of this fragrance) They took the OG code formula and made it even better. One scent that's truly a timeless classic Overall rating -9.5 out of 10 !! One of the best scents that I've smelled and with equally good performance to match
- em inglês
Have been testing this and Original EDT along side each other. Here's the verdict Scent: Both Identical, I personally can't tell the difference in terms of smell Projection: Original EDT (2017 batch) seems to project out a little bit more (1-3 hours) due to more alcohol in an EDT concentration Longevity: have had both on my left and right hand for about 11 hours now. I can barely smell the EDT unless I dog my nose in it. The EDP I am still getting strong whiffs of when I wave my hand around. This is an example of an ''EDP'' flanker done right. Same smell, Higher perfume concentration. Performance is MUCH better on this than Original. I'm surprised this does not have as much attention seeing how popular the original Code is
- em inglês
I really enjoy the scent profile of this one. The majority of the life of the fragrance is dominated by the tonka and suede, but deep in the dry down (3 hours in, or so) I get a noticeable cedar accord that persists for the remainder of the time it's on my skin. I get what I would call persistently moderate projection. Meaning it doesn't project far, but it pushes off the skin for an above average length of time (2 - 3 hours). As far as longevity, I find it's starting to fade at around the 6 hour mark, and almost completely gone by 8 hours. It's above average and adequate, but not beast mode. I purchased this direct from Armani in a sale. At around 80 bucks for the 110ml bottle I'm pretty pleased.

I tried this Code EDP at a local store and loved it, couldn ́t stop smelling it. Then because of a couple reviews, I got Code Absolu in a blind buy, and I also like it, but not as much as the EDP. I couldn ́t take my head off of Code EDP, essentially because I had the paper I tried it on over my desk. I couldn ́t stop smelling the EDP, so I HAD to ordered it as soon as I saw an online retail discount that lasted 1 day, that was 2 weeks ago. The little original paper that has the Code EDP still smells like Code EDP, smells great, I put this thing on and it easily lasts 24+ hours but the scent is SO GOOD, I love it!!
- em inglês
The scent opens up citrusy and fresh with a mix of sweetness all respectably from the lemon, lavender and tonka bean. By the 45 minute mark the citrusy freshness begins to dial back and you are introduced more and more to the rich notes of tonka bean, vanilla and suede. At the 3 hour mark you are left with a toasty, warm, powdery vanilla and suede scent for the remainder of the it’s life that smells absolutely divine. Out of the 3 Armani Codes, this one is my favorite followed by the Parfum and then the EDT. Longevity: about 7-8 hours and Projects no more than arms length Bottle is from 2022
- em inglês
Man it’s really good, designer wise I believe this was the best release of 2021, at the very least the best designer Tonka bean fragrance, they have created such a lovely Tonka bean accord that has this shimmering sparkling deep satisfying rich ness to it. I also find it fascinating that they used it as the sole middle note to this fragrance l, Tonka bean is almost always exclusively a base note. This is a true masterpiece by Antoine Maisondieu, the quality of the scent itself paired with its beastly performance makes this worth every penny of the $178 Premium price this retails for.
- em inglês
I've actually never smelled the EDT so this is an original perspective. A smooth lavender/bright citrus opening that smells clean and rich. It's not a sharp lavender, it's soft and a bit sweet. It dries down to a well blended tonka/vanilla while remaining clean and slightly fresh. It's not sickly sweet at all, the sweetness is much more subtle (unlike Absolu which can be a bit much for me sometimes, though I do own and like it). This strikes a much cleaner, fresher, less sweet balance which is right up my ally and is much more versatile. Great stuff.
- em inglês
A signature scent worthy smell, but the performance is so poor that I had to return it. VERY disappointed. I tried TWO different tester bottles and a full new bottle. Spent a solid two weeks TRYING to get any performance out of this. I do agree that it smells SIMILAR to Prada Luna Rossa Sport. But here's where they diverge.... Armani Code EDP is richer, fuller, slightly spicier, but only lasts 15 minutes. Literally 15 minutes. Prada Luna Rossa Sport has that classic Prada powdery fresh/clean DNA and much better performance.
- em inglês
All the sophistication and mystery from the original Code with improved performance. The vanilla adds a nice touch to make this one even a bit more sensual, it’s a perfect option for a date night. Even with the improvement in performance it’s still nothing crazy, around 7 hours with a moderate projection, but it smells so good and it’s so clean that you can confidently overspray a bit and it won’t bother anyone. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 6/10 Bottle: 10/10 Value for money: 7/10 Overall: 7.8/10
- em inglês
If you liked the original back in the day like me, this is great!! Exactly what an EDP should be, richer long lasting tribute to a hall of fame fragrance. I can't stop smelling myself when I wear this. Brilliantly smooth, slightly sweet with the lavender to keep it clean and control the sweetness. Just amazing. When you first spray it you will get a slight reminder of Le Male due to the vanilla and lavender but once it settles down that fades away to something much better than Le Male.
- em inglês
In the endless row of flankers, better or worse, this is brilliant. It is firmly connected with the original Code, but freshly modernized, clever oriental scent with layers, revealing themselves in time. The drydown is just gorgeous. Longevity is very good with this one, so does the sillage. Definitely signature scent worthy. I can see the similarities with another great scent, JPG Le male Le parfum, especially the drydown. Charismatic scent bubble will get you compliments.
- em inglês
It is a manly strong adult scent. The citrus lavender opening is really gorgeous and gave me a good first impression. I had on one hand this scent and on the right hand Hugo boss magnetic more people said that Giorgio Armani is better so I decided to take it today for the night club. I felt confident and good. Smell 9/10 Longevity 7/10 may change since the smell isn't gone yet Sillage 8/10 a arm length its really noticeable Gender really male Price 8/10 Overall scent 9/10
- em inglês
Call me crazy but the suede is the dominate note in this composition. I remember it being more vanilla dominate when I purchased a bottle back upon its release. I just recently bought another bottle and it’s different now. It smells like the suede and violet leaf mix in Bleeker street by Bond no 9 with a sweet vanilla and tonka bean dry down anchored by some woods. To my nose the composition has definitely changed but Im liking it. Its more masculine and sexy
- em inglês
jpg le male le parfum was my favourite smell for a long long time, until i smelt this, which i think is my favourite fragrance i have ever smelt, possibly behind ysl's y edp. this takes that elegance from le male le parfum but tones down the loud, feminine vanilla found throughout the le male line and instead replaces it with a woody, edgier yet creamy tonka bean and a more subtle and masculine vanilla behind it. this is elegance bottled. wonderful.
- em inglês
I do not know what it is with this fragrance, but I am totally addicted to it. So much, that I even spray my pillow before going to bed. I just cannot stop sniffing it. This only happens to me in around 1 of every 100 fragrances that I smell. It only happened with Dior Ambre Nuit, Prada l'Homme, D&G The One and L'Erbolario Meharées. Bought at second 110ml bottle the next week. Smells like a mixture of JPG Le Male and Armani Code EdT. Amazing.
- em inglês
Armani Code EDP is an absolutely gorgeous vanilla/lavender heavy scent. It also has Tonka bean that you get a nice whiff of in the opening, and as it dries down, the vanilla comes to the forefront. It's also got a subtle powdery vibe to it. I honestly love EDP the most out of all the Code line (even including the newest flanker, Code Parfum). It's beautiful, understated, won't overwhelm you nor those around you, and is long-lasting.
- em inglês
Why is the new 2024 version still not added as a separate fragrance on the website? People are saying they are not even remotely alike and even that the new version is a repackaged Profumo. If it is, I hope it projects better now that it is an EDP as opposed to the previously Parfum concentration, which was an issue it seems was not very often present. I wonder if it is skin chemistry or batch variation, or maybe even both.
- em inglês
I finally scored a 2oz tester bottle that has solid performance and smells fantastic! In the same way that JPG Le Male Parfum is the Goldilocks between Le Male and Ultra Male, Code EDP is the Goldilocks between Code EDT (a shell of it's former self) and Code Absolu (overpowering and too spicy, with a screechy apple note). Smooth as butter, blended so well. Beast mode? No. Challenging to wear? No. It's just right. Awesome👍😎
- em inglês
I prefer the initial spray of this over the on-skin smell. It's initial burst is gorgeous and I am leaving a "love" rating for that, and is unique to my nose. However, there is a smoky note that I don't like. I am not sure if it is listed, but I only wish that note was not in there, otherwise it is a gorgeous fragrance. It seemed to get more complements, too. Shame it is so pricey for what it is.
- em inglês
Everything in this line smell very close. The only one that stands out from the pack is Profumo. Now onto this latest flanker, this is very nice. I get great longevity and good sillage for 3 hours. This is just behind Absolute as my 3rd fav in the lineup. There is nothing new here. I kinda feel like these companies are getting really lazy. Let’s try something new Armani.
- em inglês
Are PerfumeHater and Ricky fernando the same person? Apparently they grew to like it a little more, their score increased by 0.6. I really like this, I just wish it was a little stronger/longer-lasting. It's definitely an Armani Code; this time with an ambery depth and a soft but uplifting lavender and vanilla that are balanced just right with the citrus and cedar.
- em inglês
On my skin, Code EDP opens up with a real punch of zest and spice. Then, over time (and I mean over a long period of time because this lasts FOREVER on my skin), it becomes an incredibly smooth and sensual (almost soft and powdery) masculine leather. It becomes closer at that point to the original Code EDT's scent profile in my opinion. A big love for me!
- em inglês
Currently have 2 sprays on my hand from a sample at Myers. This is 99% same as the original. The average Joe and Jill will definitely believe you are wearing the original Armani Code. Only the trained noses will pick up the added Vanilla and Lavender So far this has solid projection, been just over an hour and still going strong!
- em inglês
First impression: It smells really great. It reminds me of the original (obviously) and Prada's Luna Rossa Sport, and I loved both of them too. It reminds me a bit of Le Male Le Parfum, but this one is more subtle and has none of the oriental notes from the Le Male Le Parfum. It is also less sweet and more powdery.
- em inglês
This was the first time I smelled something this expensive in the store and immediately wanted to buy it. It has some DNA from Le Male Le Parfum, but a bit less sweet, and I enjoy it a lot more. It has a very subtle projection, but its scent stands out enough to make up for it. Good longevity. Do recommend.
- em inglês
I enjoy this one. Great opening with citrus and amazing lavender. It dries down and more vanilla can be smelled but the lavender remains. The citrus is not overpowering. This fragrance is long lasting. I think it would work well for all ages. I got a sample and I’m thinking about buying a full bottle now.
- em inglês
Powdery, formal man. My signature scent if I were to have one for everyday, every occasion. Love the smell and was definitely worth my $78 bucks for the full size bottle. Bought it blindly and kind of not expecting a lot, just quality since it's an Armani. Any age, any situation. Love this stuff!
- em inglês
I agree with Smell my Musk. If you like Code and want something that last but “literally” nobody will be offended by because it’s a skin scent, this is it. This is another one I should have bought a decant of and thoroughly tested out. I wouldn’t have bought it purely on its lack of projection.
- em inglês
Very nice and a personal favorite. I'm not a fan of most cardamom dominant fragrances for the winter/fall so I tried desperately to find an alternative for the colder months. This is definitely a great addition to my growing collection and I love it for the winter time.
- em inglês
Love it, it’s the old Code but modernized. If you think Absolu or Profumo are too sweet, this is the one for you. It’s much darker and serious. My favorite is still Absolu but this is great. As for performance, I’m not sure. I only tried it on a tester strip. 8.2/10
- em inglês
So apparantly this is being discontinued. Completely sold out in all stores in my country, and it was going at 50% off. I spoke with one of the store clerks, and she told me it's being replaced by the new Armani Code Parfum with the new bottle design and Iris-notes.
- em inglês
You can't go wrong with this juice. Girls love it, I love it. It's just all around good stuff in all categories. Mass compliment getter. Projects very well. Has the original Code dna still. Great for date night n sexy time. Will always have a bottle of this stuff.
- em inglês
This stuff is amazing. Manlier and more sophisticated than Absolu. Mad compliments. I've had a few female coworkers buy this for their husbands after asking me what I'm wearing. Projection and sillage are above average. This is my favorite fragrance at the moment.
- em inglês
This fragrance is nothing like what i was expecting. This starts of really citrusy in the opening but quickly dries down to a very suede kind of smell with hints of vanilla and lavendar. Overall i quite like this fragrance and i recommend it.
- em inglês
Scent profile is very mass appealing yet having a very simple scent profile. It definitely took the original armani code and modernized. I would go a little more heavy on the trigger with this one somewhere around 5-6 sprays.
- em inglês
I absolutelly love this one, with absolu on 2nd place. I love the citrusy opening, still retaining that code DNA. This is an all season scent, it's fresh, warm, a bit sweet, has it all. Performance is slightly above 7 hours
- em inglês
for those of you wanting a stronger more potent version of the original Code. Go with this one! ignore all the other flankers, they retain no more than 20% Code DNA. Where as this is Code DNA with higher concentration
- em inglês
This one is a banger! First of all this stuff is strong! And long lasting. Has that great code DNA kind of reminds me of ultimate but even better! Great scent! Kind of under the radar if you ask me.
