Armani Code Eau de Toilette

Armani Code has been a love for me for a very long time. I only had a sample on it that I used a few times in elementary school in 8th grade and I really loved the smell and the confidence it gave me. When I graduated high school, I got the newer bottle of Code by my aunt. I love smell of this one as well, but I kinda fooled myself because off all comments saying “this is worse” “it’s not as good” “what did Armani do?!” on this new code. So it almost made me think that this wasn’t as sexy/cool as the older bottle. But I have realised when I completely was thinking for myself: This is just as good as the OG Code. Because the notes that are written really makes you think is this really the same? Even tho it does twist your mind, just when you smell this, it is changed a bit, but, looking at the notes there has to be more notes that are hidden. I mean how would they otherwise make Code smell like Code?? I am very sure that I can pick up on some of that tobacco, tho it is less appearing, but I can definitely sense that there is leather and star anise in there. So my point is: Don’t go completely nuts on the list of notes and don’t listen to what everyone says. I feel this is very obvious, but it’s sooo easy to get fooled into thinking someone else’s opinion is more “right” than yours. Listen to your nose, what does it tell you? After all. Out of all the fragrances I have; THIS is my most complimented fragrance. Code EDT. Don’t be afraid to buy it. And if you complain about the longevity, just put some moisturizer on you. Makes such a big difference!

After a couple of wearings of this I can confidently say that this is beast. Sometime ago I posted feelings of displeasure with the parfum or the other version of the code line but this iteration (cologne concentration) is a cut above. I didn't go nose blind to it, it's pleasant and it feels like a cross between Dior sauvage and Code colonial (with what it seems like a drop of iris) without any ambrozon. Oh, speaking of code colonial. I liked that one too but it only lasted a half an hour or I went nose blind to it. Not this new scent. It feels super modern, 2023 in a bottle. I sprayed only three sprays( one and a half sprays below each of my ears) and this was blasting off me for the whole day. Good thing I didn't go a whole four sprays Nevertheless I was surprised after the first hit of alcohol. This settled down gracefully with masculinity. Don't like how the nozzle area on the sprayer is unstable. It better not detache from the bottle over time because this was not a cheap fragrance. Inevitably (as you read and I wrote) reaching this conclusion that at this time here and now it's very possible that I reach for code 2023 Toilette over a couple other stereotype blue Fragrances in my collection. My oversized thumbs up.

My introduction to the Code line. Got this as a gift and was iffy when I first got it but ended up really growing on me over the next couple days. For starters, this stuff is VERSATILE. You can wear this ANYWHERE. I prefer it as an everyday evening and sometimes office scent but this juice can match basically any occassion since its the perfect blend of fresh and formal. One of the main complaints about this is longevity, but I just don't see it. For me a spray can last well over 20 hours as a skin scent with decent projection for the first couple. I don't know if thats just from my bottle being from a retailer and not a discounter but regardless this thing lasts FOREVER from my experience. Finally smell, I find this scent comparable to JPG Le Male EDT with the powdery vanilla lavender profile. The difference is that this takes out all of the notes that make Le Male smell like an old man and replaces them with a citrusy opening, making it smell modern and really fresh on anyone of any age group. Overall would highly recommend, 10/10 fragrance. Does its job and does it flawlessly.

I've never took the time to write a review or thought of selling a frag that i've bought ever in my life but i've also never come across a frag that performs this poorly .. it projects like candle light on a sunny day .. it lasts long alright but only at skin level .. it smells absolutely great and that's why i jumped on it when i smelled it at the store but i've never regretted a purchase this much .. at this point i'd take anything to recoup even half of what i payed for it .. even overspraying i can barely get anyone to notice it in a few hours .. absolutely disappointed with performance .. there's no point of wearing something that no one can smell .. i'll keep trying tho .. since the money's already paid and wasted but never again will i buy on impulse .. Edit: A few month later it performs a liiiiiittle tad bit better .. i actually got a compliment an hour or two into wearing it to work but i can't say that the performance is anything to write back home about .. such a shame because the juice is really beautiful.

I like this one a lot, definitely a man’s fragrance. I don’t get a citrus opening at all personally, the lavender comes through and gives it a refined soapy opening. There’s certainly a bit of spice as it dries down, but everything about this fragrance is just enough. Just enough scent, just enough layers to the fragrance, just enough notes to make you keep smelling. I could see it being overpowering if spared too liberally, I think one or two sprits is more enough, especially on a guy. I think this could easily become one of those fragrances that’s used too liberally and could be overused and related to the guy who just wears too much- you know, if it hasn’t already. When used properly it’s very elegant, it does enough to entice but not be overly attention grabbing. I like the soapy, somewhat aquatic scent, with a touch of spice. A true man’s fragrance and again, very elegant. It’s a bit more than a neutral fragrance but not too much. Very happy with this one :)

I’m in the minority here but I think this is a very nice and modernized take on the original Armani Code. It is missing the tobacco and star anise notes from the original formulation but what it loses there it gains in added freshness and versatility. It still smells like Armani Code but stripped down to its essence, and this one can literally be worn anywhere and for any occasion. You won’t get any BO-leaning vibes with this one (the original and the 2021 EDP would give off a certain funk in that vein in higher temps from what I remember). It’s also less powdery to my nose. The changes done here are absolutely for the better in my opinion. This also lasts a full day on skin but the projection is fairly light after the first hour. I think all 3 of the current Codes are fantastic releases but Armani should at least give this one and the relaunched EDP magnetic caps like the parfum!

A reformulation of Armani Code. Last year's edp really surprised me. It just did weird things to my skin. After 5 minutes I smelled like a horse that had rolled through a field of withered irises. Such a pity. With little expectations I started testing the edt. It starts with a good load of citrus and vanilla-like iris. This combination is so beautiful. Soon the woody also adds. The scent gradually becomes more vanilla and powdery, but does not lose its freshness for a moment. The fresh reminds me in the distance of Prada Luna Rossa and the powdery they got a lot of inspiration from L'homme by Dior. So the scent is certainly not original. But the perfume is so beautifully blended that I forgive it. Online I read a lot of hate about this fragrance. Don't let this guide you. But try the smell and have an open mind. I hope it surprises you as much as it did me.

La Tonka engloba la lavanda y el cedro de una forma maravillosa. Súper versátil pero en extremo. Distinto al hermoso aroma original incluso con sus reformulaciones si es pero no demasiado. Si es cierto que Le falta ese dejo del tabaco y el cuero que le daban algo más de profundidad al otro Pero por la tan grande versatilidad se lo perdono. Aroma hermoso. Duración y proyección aceptables. En citas es perfecto. Trabajo y salidas bien, en las noches resulta maravilloso (verano y primavera) en días de otoño para todo es espectacular. Invierno si es que ya no hace mucho frío. Incluso con un buen traje en una ocasión elegante puede resaltar.

The best fragrance that uses the mix of lavender with a creamy vanilla scent. There might be other similar ones that I do not know of, but this is definitely the best I have seen. Lasts about 6 hours MAX (which is enough for me) with moderate, non-offensive projection. The top note lingers for about an hour, where you can really smell the citrus and lavender, the dry down is just a cozy, warm, creamy vanilla scent that smells very yummy. When I read reviews before buying it I had speculations, but it pleasantly surprised me and smelled nothing like I expected. Definitely worth a buy, an easy daily fragrance. I had read that it is not that versatile, however that dry down just smells like nice vanilla to me that you can have on you in any occasion.

Maybe I got the lucky bottle but I sprayed mine on yesterday around 3pm and it's now about 7 am and It still smells on my arms and clothes. Got wafts of it the whole time yesterday. I think it's pretty nice tbh.. Alot better than I expected. It is in the same wheel house as the new code parfum, but when side by side they're pretty siffernt. This has a fresher angle and then gets a little softer down the stretch. So for its a thumbs up. Glad I was able to quickly get a bottle. It's definitely code and that is what it great... I honestly think any true code fan will love this. The lack of a magnetic cap tho sucks, not sure why they just couldn't give it the same treatment as the Parfum but of course that's minor.

I had Parfum which I quite liked, even more than the OG Code but I think this is on par with Parfum. Think of the original Code and it's good parts, delete every bad part and put that on a new bottle and you will get this. If you are experienced with the original 2004 Code it will not be very hard for you to recognize this smell, except it is more modern and much smoother. What are the downsides? Well, not very long-lasting and it doesn't offers much new notes or smell. If you truly want something unique and classy, go with Parfum. If you were fan of the original EDP/Absolu/Profumo versions go with the new EDP but if you want the closest thing to the original 2004 Code this is your best shot

One of my top compliment getters. It smells amazing, i cant really pick out any exact note initially except for the lavender and vanilla, which i will say, combine soo nicely. Gives a clean, trustworthy and appealing smell. Longevity is okay for an edt, although it does become quite intimate after a few hours. I'd say after maybe 2-3 hours, people wont really be able to notice or enjoy the scent unless they're face is literally right next to you. Overall imo this scent is still too good to pass up on. It makes you feel like you've got everything put together. I liked a comment about someone saying it makes you feel like Bruce Wayne, because it honestly does.

I gasp for this. Incredible. I have a special weakness for this fragrance and the entire code series. It has something that very few perfumes have Very clean, dark, special scent, oriental, it's not like any other. This smells like a night out as a white collar guy in New York City at friday or batman Bruce Wayne. I got 15ml of this, Made in France, not for individual sale. 20,45 euro People spending money on shaken, warmed, frozen, tossed, shipped around the world perfumes (overpriced), which are of course destroyed and then they write nonsense here. This is an incredible scent. Overpriced but whoever can afford it should buy it.

Giorgio Armani – Armani Code Eau de Toilette, simply is so wearable. It's nothing groundbreaking. However, there's just the right amount of citrus zest, and it's very refreshing! Combined with the lavender note, and the soft drydown into Tonka Bean and Cedar, this fragrance is somewhat versatile. I'd think Spring and Summer, this fragrance would project best. I would describe the accord as "Pleasant" and "Refreshing". It's not a screamer. It's not unique. However, it is versatile, and high quality, such that it has become a signature scent. Well worth picking up at a discount if you're looking for something fresh!

Wow this is amazing. I first smelled this at an Ulta and both my friend and I were blown away. It encapsulates fresh and the dash of sweetness adds a sexy appeal to it. Mixed with woody and lavender as well and it’s perfect. It’s definitely a signature scent. The fact it’s versatile makes it perfect for daily wear. Perfect in my opinion for daytime wear in the cooler months. I tried this on and immediately knew it was going to be a good fit. Not the best option if you want something loud, but perfect if you need a safe signature scent you can wear to work, school, any occasion and any time.

This is an amazing fragrance and a great re-launch of the iconic OG Code from 2004. It immediately sends me back to memory lane as Code was my first major fragrance and what got me into collecting back in 2013. The tobacco and leather notes have been stripped in favour of lavender, making it lighter and fresher and therefore more versatile for daily wear compared to the OG Code. I've been wearing this for casual outings and Code Parfum (2022) for the office and more formal events and both have given me plenty of compliments. 10/10.

This smells fantastic. I don't care if it is a blatant cash grab, it's addictive. Very similar to Code Parfum and Edp but lighter than both. Honestly it smells like a mix of both minus leather from the Edp. If you're a fan of the line, you shouldn't be disappointed, unless you're like most people who commented before it's release and hate it because you never smelled it but you know for a fact that it sucks, even though you have no clue what it actually smells like. Very, minty, fresh, powdery and clean. 8.8/10

Tried it again today, looking for an easy daily versatile fragrance. Imo, opening is correct, drydown is excellent,, fresh but with hints of sweetness, performance is correct, the fragrance is a true Swiss knife, you can wear it almost all season, except maybe for very hot days, and all occasions, gym, work, concert, marriage etc... I think it's an excellent addition to a small rotation who needs a daily no-brainer fragrance. Again, far better imo to the EDP and Parfum. 9/10

Received this one as a gift from my partner. Normally I lean towards vetiver type scents, but this one is a good sweet vanilla one, and I like it very much. I'm not a fragrance snob, like other people commenting on here, so I can not compare this to the "original" as I've never owned one. Would recommend this one though. A nice touch is that the bottle is refillable.

As someone who is a big fan of the original formulation, I can confidently say that this is a fantastic modern update for this day and age. It's fresher, more versatile and has a much stronger projection. I smelled this on paper for the first time and its undeniably code- on skin it's even better. One of the best lavender fragrances on the market for men.

Extremely close to Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. Like, to the point that I forgot I had this on. Not so much in the opening but the dry down got me. This is a great all around scent. Wear it anytime. Very clean. Tonka done very well in my opinion. Sorta reminds me of a crisp vanilla coke. I'm not a huge fan of armani but this entire line is great.

Just like the first new Code Parfum, which seems to be a reformulation and rebottling of the previous Code flanker called A-List, this one is much closer to the original Prada Luna Rossa, to the point where it's very hard to tell them apart without a proper side by side comparison.

Reviewing this again (because I want to) this is easily one of the best frags period! It's signature scent worthy all day, night, all year round, in all weather. I have this one and the parfum. Nothing smells like Armani Code. It's one of the most unique scents.

Last 10- 12 hours on my skin, it doesn’t project much , it’s more of skin scent...but I can still smell it at 10 hour mark without having to dig my nose into my skin. Code is my favorite scent profile . This is pretty much the only fragrance I will rebuy .

It reminds me a lot of the original Prada Luna Rossa, however it doesn't have that predominant mint note. It's a more performant, smoother version of Prada Luna Rossa, and at the same time it has something unique to it. Love it, smells very sexy

Have been wearing this in last couple weeks, right now it sits close to the skin and doesn’t project much and longevity is average . Hopefully it will improve overtime . Scent I give 9 out of 10 Silage and longevity I give 5.5 out of 10

nothing wow about it nothing bad neither, i like the fact that its still got that original code dna and reminds me so much of profumo and absolu the performance is good, not like you would think based on people's votes

I have it in my collection. In fact, I need to buy the refillable bottle cause I'm about a few sprays away from being empty. I love it. It's a great, fresh, and sweet fragrance. You cannot beat that.

Armani code is still a clean and a unique fragrance for men, pretty scent and a nice drydown, starts fresh, there is no mega difference from the previous version, Worth buying and trying.

Fresh and unique, one of my favorites in my collection. To me this is 10/10 fresh, masculine scent. There's no powdery iris here or sweetness, just rough freshness which I prefer.

It smells like a more mellowed out, less offensive and more crowd pleasing version of the OG Armani Code. I prefer this one. It's more fresh, and less spicy.

Is a lavender vanillic scent with subtle woodiness mass appealing but I still prefer the Armani code absolu but it was discontinued

The best of the 3 (edt/edp/parfum). Edp is too sweet, parfum is too powdery. The edt is cleaner, brighter, and versatile. 8/10

A classic scent with a very elegant profile. Extremely versatile and inoffensive for everyday use (work, college etc).

The ranking is unfair. It's a good fragrance, nothing groundbreaking but nice Longevity is on the weaker side 7.5/10

Armani code edt is love in a bottle

Reminds me of Allure Homme Sport

I liked the original, so I decided to try the newer version and was initially disappointed when I tried it on test strip because it lacked what seemed like potency compared to the original. The original was sweeter and had more of a powdery note to it (iris?) and denser. Now I'm not a huge fan of super sweet or powdery scents but the original was an exception. Now back to the new version: On skin it was a different story. So I tried it on skin and I could barely smell it....for like 5-10 mins, and then magic happened, it started to open up and the notes came out. It was like the original but with a slight tone down on the sweetness and iris note, and more of a fresher (and more versatile IMO) profile became apparent. Now it's still not a beast cologne, but I think that actually suits this scent profile. Performance is around average around 5-6 hours. Sillage is a little underwhelming, but you do have a nice intimate scent bubble that's pretty consistent. This is more of a pleasant surprise type projection rather than a HERE I AM profile, so people will notice you if you are within range but you don't announce yourself to a room. Some might find that a negative, I don't because not all fragrances have to be extroverted, and if you need to you can overspray and not choke people out. I still prefer prada L'homme when it comes to this scent profile, but AC EDT is still a solid like.

Armani Code Eau de Toilette is still a genuinely solid fragrance. Affordable, versatile and ridiculously easy to wear all year round, day or night. It is one of those fragrances you can throw on for basically any occasion and know you will smell good. My only issue is that the older pre 2023 formulation was just better. Dropping the leather and star anise notes took away a lot of the character that made Armani Code feel classy and slightly mysterious. The newer version smells fresher and cleaner, but also flatter and a bit more “safe corporate designer fragrance.” Like they locked the fragrance in a boardroom and asked 14 executives how to make sure absolutely nobody could dislike it 😂 It is not bad at all, it just used to have more personality. That said, it is still an excellent choice, especially if you want an easy dumb reach fragrance that works basically anywhere. Although I would definitely recommend also trying Prada Paradigme, because it fills a very similar role while feeling a bit brighter and more modern to my nose, it's just more exciting in every way, it's almost like they locked paradigm in the same boardroom, except this time the board meeting had snacks and alcohol and they were all significantly less drab and miserable while making it.

I get a lot of sweet citrus and vanilla spice upon first opening almost like a lemon meringue pie but with a slight spice kick! Definitely a bit more sweeter fragrance but nothing offputting or over the top. I really love the balance of sweet, vanilla citrus here. As the scent begins to dry down, vanilla, Woody, Tonka notes start to come through with the fading citrus lifting up the fragrance to be a bit more energetic while still having a warm and cozy center. After the settles for a bit, Woody vanilla sweetness really take over in a pleasant yet mild way. At this point the fragrance becomes much more intimate, not projecting too much, not leaving a large silliage, but when others get close to you, they will be pleasantly surprised. If you were looking for more projection, you will definitely need to apply this over and over as it does fade quickly on skin. Stays on clothes a bit longer. I also think this fragrance smells much better on skin that it does on a test strip. Pretty decent price for a delicious smelling fragrance that doesn’t project greatly or last too long. If you’re looking for a subtly sweet, vanilla, Woody fragrance that needs to be discovered, rather than be announced, This is a great purchase. 7/10

Armani Code Eau de Toilette (EDT) 2023 is a citrusy, aromatic, and spicy fragrance. The scent of this reformulated version of Code EDT maintains many similarities to the previous version, except for a stronger lavender presence and less anise spice, but it maintains the citrus opening with a very pleasant tonka bean and vanilla base. At the launch of the first version, it was a fragrance more geared toward elegant evenings out. However, with the new trends toward what is now customary as a nighttime fragrance, Code EDT is now more of an everyday fragrance. It still maintains its elegance, but is also suitable for daytime use, such as office work, parties, and casual and formal situations. In terms of longevity, it may have been short on me; it lasted a maximum of 5 to 6 hours, and its sillage except for the first hour where it is clearly noticeable, remains very close to the skin. Compared to the Eau de Parfum and Parfum versions, the EDT version is the most versatile, although at the moment I think I like the Parfum version, however if you can get it at a good price, it's probably worth buying a larger bottle of this new EDT version.

I tested a coule times this New Code against the original (2022 new "last" batch armani code) Old Code, the one with the dark blue bottle, dark gray strip and black cap. SMELL: New Code is a tad heavier compared with the Old Code, you could use the Old Code for very hot summer days without choking anyone mostly because the lemon is lighter than the mandarin. PROJECTION: New Code projects WAY more, Old Code gets close to skin fast so you can spray it like there is no tomorrow. LONGEVITY: New Code lasts a lot more easily 4 hours, Old Code dies after 2 hours. NOTES: New Code relies heavily on Tonka Beans and Lavender, Old Code relies on Suede and Lemon, Old Code smells better. Conclusion: you don ́t need both, they ́re 90% the same in the first 30 minutes, the drydown is around 70-80% the same, if you want a weak scent for a packed meeting in a closed space during summer, gonna be with other people in your car, or you are going to intimate and want just a skin scent, get the Old Code, women love it. New Code is mostly office safe.

To me, opening is light and refreshing with a sweet citrus which is almost bubbly and fizzy? Only words that make sense. After that its basically lavender and sweet tonka (resinous ambery vanilla). I don't get much woods or citrus, it's primarily a masculine expression of lavender vanilla to my nose with some creamy and powdery facets pretty much all the way through. Good dumb reach most days, I'm not always in the mood for it but it does the job of giving me something to smell like! I'm generally not a big fan of mainstream men's perfumery so this was a pleasant surprise in a sea of chemically dislikes. To be fair, I'd say it does lean slightly unisex, and my partner agrees. Very simple, does what it says and unpretentious. Decent longevity, around 6 or so hours. I personally don't love it for SUPER hot days but anything below 85°F or so will work great. It's in every Sephora so try once or twice before you buy, I always do that when its easily accessible.
