Armani Code Ultimate

Masculine and mature... A solid fragrance... “Kate” is a graduate student at an illustrious Ivy League school who was hard at work on a research paper in a local coffee shop when he (she later found out his name was “Evan” by the scribbling on a binder he was carrying) brushed her chair on his way to finding his own table to escape the autumn chill and catch up on work. Engrossed in her paper, she did not initially notice him, but she found herself in the midst of his fragrance wave – soft, masculine, distinguished, refined, vanilla, and woodsy were all words that came to mind – she enjoyed the smell, especially when it was coupled with the distant smells of coffee and an active fireplace. Kate is an attractive woman in her late twenties and considers herself well-kept and stylish. She has been out of school a while, like many of us, joined the working group out of college, but decided that a mind is a terrible thing to waste and entered graduate school years later. She guessed Evan was a “junior” professor at the university, probably mid-thirties, and judging by his distinguished, but rugged look, maybe an expert in archeology or geology. She noticed his modern, albeit disheveled hair, and his retroactive glasses were a clear sign he was intelligent. She also noticed the pen he used, classy and elegant, and the shoes he wore – stylish with a European flare. They caught each other’s eyes for an instant – you know the “look” – and held that moment until it was interrupted by another patron passing through... At the moment, Kate is single and the longer she enjoyed this distraction, the more she lost interest in her paper. Her heart began to race and she felt giddy. Evan’s fragrance still lingered and this intrigued her... Evan finally settled in to a table diagonal from hers with his cup of java and soon became consumed with a text book all the while taking copious notes with the pen – she came to the conclusion – he was a gentlemen and he wears Armani Code Ultimate. Life comes down to a few moments... Make a move and don’t let a moment pass by... Armani Code Ultimate is a great fragrance that will garner many compliments. It is refined, distinguished, and a fragrance for gentlemen. Performance is underrated, lasting 7+ hours on me and even longer on clothing at an arm’s length distance or closer. At times – “closer” is a good thing.. You will love this fragrance and I highly recommend adding to any collection. My final tally for Armani Code Ultimate is 4.6 stars out of 5 stars. An excellent addition to the Armani Line. AC Ultimate lines up well with the original, but adds on a sort of 'Intense' vibe with this newest flanker. It spruces up the original with more vanilla flavor, and some woody undertones to give it a very pleasant, professional feel. I very much enjoy the added longevity on this one as well. To demonstrate, I sprayed it once on my arm about mid morning (~11am), and that night I could still smell it at a good strength around 7pm. Impressive, considering the original died down after about 5-6 hours on my skin. The projection is quite nice, also. After a couple hours of basking, someone could smell it easily from a foot or two away, and complimented me on the classy vibe it put off. Spray Recommendations: 1 to the chest, and 2 to the neck....OR, 1 to the chest, 1 to the center of the neck, and one to each arm for better spread and sillage. Overall, this perfume seeks to impress, and it does this with ease. It tones down the leather of the original, and brings out a slightly more feminine, yet compensatingly masculine vibe, and can easily be worn for just about any occasion- informal or other. Longevity: 9/10 (Easily 8-10+ hours) Projection: 5/10 (Somewhat soft) Versatility: 9/10 (Any occasion you darn well please!) Smell: 8/10 (Quite nice- I can easily see this on a man in a suit, or perhaps a man on a date...VERSATILE!)

The BEST Armani code flanker hands down!! I love Armani Code Ultimate. I smelled the original but I never liked it. This fragrance is a vanilla bomb from the opening to the dry down. Sadly, this flanker is discontinued. The smell of this fragrance is very mass appealing and can easily be the king of winter date night fragrances. The longevity was great in the cold it cut through winds on a New York evening. The sillage was very alluring to people who walked past me or behind me. I would always be getting stopped by people asking me what I am wearing. Oh, I wish Armani bought this amazing composition back soon perhaps an Eau de parfum version. Scent profile: heavy vanilla fragrance for vanilla lovers (not vanilla extract heavy) the other notes in this fragrance makes the vanilla note jump out to you but not sickly sweet. Rating: 10/10 wonderful date night gem that’s sadly discontinued :( Silage: 9/10 (great for evenings and winter season) Compliments galore: 10/10 sexy, alluring, inviting, rich warm vanilla, Netflix and chill ambiance, close encounter

By far the best Code around. This is like Armani Code turned up a few notches and sweetened. Top notes are bright, but burn off into a darker heart. It is sweetened thanks to heliotrope and vanilla. Otherwise, it is similar to the original code ramped up on steroids. IMO, I felt like the original code was really weak. Perhaps it was a crime it was so weak. People needed to be on you to notice it or you layered the heck out of it. Code Ultimate makes up for that flaw, without turning itself into the next JOOP! Projection: 9/10 (not room clearing, but not bad either) Longevity: 10/10 (on you the next day you wake up) Sillage: 8/10 (noticeable trail) Versatility: 7/10 (not for the workplace, this is a night/dating fragrance) Scent: 10/10 (smooth, pleasant, and unique) Bang for buck: 7/10 (not cheap) Compliments: 9/10 Overall: 9/10

This is a Masterpiece. Armani releases new Code versions as if it were socks. Absolutely ridiculous. As if they are competing with J.P. Gaultier Le Male. I just found out that there is even a bottle colour combination that looks very similar to this one, the EDP version. I had 4 codes. Gave away the original and the Profumo version. Still have the Absolute and the Ultimate which is by far the best one for me. Weirdly enough it was rather soon discontinued. Sometime later they have spent millions on promoting the far too sweet Profumo, which was just oke and probably ment for a younger crowd. No need to promote Ultimate since it's not for sale but it is really sad. In fact Ultimate should have been the last one of the Code family, because that is what the word means.

is it to the right way ? most of us like the famous iconic armani code but most of us at the same time Complained about its longevity & prog so armani wanted to make it right this time by making an intense version of armani code . but did armani make it right ? the answer will be different from one to another . why ? because there are some changes Occurred to the original a.c . like what ? 1- first in the opening I think it is less citrusy than the original because they replaced lemons & bergamot with grapefruit 2-tons of tonka bean & vanilla here so it became heavier & darker 3- long & prog here is better than the original 4- the original is more versatile than this Overall its heavy dark a.c for winter , fall nights & for longevity lovers so its your choice now

I forgot about owning this scent. I bought it a few years ago (2012), and don't recall using it, but I remember buying it because I liked Code so much. Anyway, I tried this during the winter, it projected very well, and lasted good too, both on skin and clothing. It is mos def made on the same lines as the orignial, but the sweetness makes it slightly heavier. I don't know if this has been reformed or anything, but I have heard on a youtube review that is has mediocre performance, which is not my testimony. My bottle performs inbetween the original and Versace Eros. I like this bottle and rate it a 7.75 out of 10. Recommended, and safe blind buy if you like sweet, tonka, vanillic type of frags. Very nice fragrance, it is relatively simple on your nose but it's still fantastic and I'm overall infatuated by the smell. Fits 21-mid 30's men definitely. Had 3 bottles of this up to now 75ml versions and it's still something I will be having on my shelf in future. Very alluring fragrance and never met anyone who has disliked it so I don't know where these dislikes come from. Aromatic finish and simple, I get a few fragrances that are similar in scents like 212 and maybe even a bit of Chanel Allure Homme Sport but this still outshines both. Definitely worth a buy and even as an EDT it's very good overall. Much better than YSL La Nuit if you have ever tried that.

I absolutely want this one for the holiday season. It is FAR TOO strong for the warm weather right now so I'll definitely be waiting to get this one when it gets a whole lot chillier in my neck of the woods. It was really love at first whiff, which doesn't really happen that much with me, for me with Ultimate Code. It definitely dries down to the original Code but boy is the top really wonderful stuff. Strong and powdery just like the original. I wish I had gotten me a sample so I could test it more and more. Drat! I'm sure hoping Ultimate isn't a limited edition. I enjoy it far too much to not be able to always have it. : )

Very similar with the original indeed. But this is a more improved version. I had and liked the original. While the original is a bit spicy, this one is sweet. Strong notes of vanilla, and, although is not listed in the notes pyramid, i detect some chocolate notes. This is the "ultimate" Code indeed. This version is perfect, sweeter, more youthful. Also, the power is very strong with this one. Very good sillage for ~5-6 hours on my skin, then it gets close to skin for another ~7-8 hours. So longevity i would say somewhere between 12-14 hours. So yeah...it is far more superior than the original! I NEED THIS!!!!!

Bought this while catching it on eBay through power-seller at $35.00 for the 1.7 oz bottle. In my opinion that was a very good price for Armani Code and I've had the original in the collection few times in the past. Went with this Ultimate version of code and I love it. It projects better than the original and still has great vanilla, tonka, woody notes minus the heavy smokiness original has. Not saying I dislike the smokiness since the original is a masterpiece classic fragrance but this ultimate version projects heavier not needing more than 3-4 sprays to be good 7+ hours. Thumbs up!

ReyesJA, I am really puzzled with your comment. I also like the original very much, which I own but found it's performances too weak, like so many Armani fragrances. Just a little more than skin sence. I have ultimate since last December and it is really sensational. Although unlike the profumo version Ultimate's scent is still very close to the original, which is good. It is sooo much better in longevity and Sillage. This is now my favorite winter fragrance and in fact gets my highest rating from my entire collection.

A compliment getter as has been previously stated, a very sweet gourmand fragrance with some slighty citrusy notes, which makes it less heavy than expected, allowing a much wider variety of usages. I would not recommend it as a work / class scent tough. Worked great in summer aswell as during fall and winter. Projection and sillage is great, not beast mode but definetively better than the original code. I would rate it a 8/10. Not a high class scent, not the most complex and rather expensive, but worked for me.

Great creamy cookie smell. lot of vanilla and tonka bean! Project very well. great longevity 10h+ casual, dates, office yes (with moderation) night out ..hell yes! 1 or 2 sprays maximum depending where you are. Is it my kind of fragrance?...no, but I love and I understand why its popular. Great compliment getter from the ladies! 21 and up because I consider it a mature scent, Versace Eros fits more to the younger side than Code Ultimate, but If you love it wear it :) fall, winter and early spring 8/10

Don't pay attention to the classical and "boring" (but good) smell at first. Its drydrown (especially middle notes) is just awesome. The Heliotrope / Cypress / Olive combo is a marvel. So deep, woody & powdery, with just enough delicate floral side to not be obnoxious and loud. Very well done with this one, Armani house ! One of few proofs that mainstream fragrances are not dead yet. You just have to call a niche nose, and voila, you can be as much as inspired than niche ones.

This fragrance surprised me. Keep in mind this does smell like the original mixed with a little 1 million and hints of vanilla. Very very nice. The first night i wore it i got compliments. And it lasted all day. Sillage is good. Longevity even better. I've heard this is similar to DHI and i dont see that at all! It may follow a similar path from slighly powdery to a sweet vanilla dry down but no way close to DHI. None the less, a very great fragrance.

This was my favorite Armani code flanker and just finished my original bottle in January. To me it was less cloying and vanilla forward as the Absolu. A bit darker and balanced with the woody notes and the cypress being a little more forward. Going to miss this discontinued gem. Feel like Armani is going the way of overly sweet scents lately like SWY line and the code flankers are very sweet. Scent 8/10; Performance 8/10 Price: Discontinued

I'm a big fan of Armani Code, for men and for women. I recommend them. I feel ultimate offers a longer lasting version of the original and if your a fan of vanilla you won't be disappointed. My wife likes the original better and I love them all but lean more toward ultimate. The scent fades big time after about four hours then it sits close for a couple more hours on my skin at least. I usually have to apply it twice in a day.

This one is just perfect. It's cosy, yet luxurious, warm but still mature. When wearing a suit & tie, this is one of my favorites Performs so much better than the original Code, for which only a dog can detect even from close range. Projection (8hrs+) and sillage are just perfect but including the very nice scent of the original. One of my preferable Fall/Winter fragrances.

A bold masterpiece is what I have to say about this scent. Armani should have taken this perfume and disassociated it with “the code”. The dry down is when I really start to appreciate the scent. Beautiful use of vanilla and Tonka beans. For me it lasted a good eight hours. I would recommend this is a great pick for the fall and winter. Nothing but romance in the bottle!

Tried this today, very similar to the original code but i prefer this, the vanilla makes it just that little bit different. good longevity too, 3 sprays are still on me now and i applied them 6hrs ago so i would think around 8hrs is what to expect from this. projects well too overall its made me want to buy it so id definitely recommend at least trying it 8/10 for me :)

A lot of people are saying that this and the original Code are one in the same. While they are definitely similar, I easily prefer this one. Im a sucker for vanilla fragrances, and this one amplifies that aspect of the original. If you like them as well, I can't recommend this one enough. I love this cologne, and can't wait to add it to my collection.

Got this "badass" today ! On my skin works great, long leasting and project good as well.. For me, this is one of those fragrances, which when you spray it on your hand... you CAN'T stop smelling it.. I didn't have the original Code, so I can't compare it, but give this one a try... definitely worth it !

The user below this comment is a lunatic that has no sense of smell. If you're crazy enough to go beyond 3 sprays with this fragrance, I really hope you do not encounter someone with asthma, because you will kill them. This is a beast at projection in the winter, let alone any other time of year.

Very lovevly perfume. Starts off strong, but wears off after a while. Have gotten alot of compliments while using this one, even a kiss on the neck. (hehe) Projection is good and longativity is 8 hours on me. You should try it on first, can smell different on your skin, but a very good scent.

The best Code is Ultimate. Period. The original is too weak. Gave recently Profumo away. Was oke, for younger guys. Kept the Absolu which I find close to Profumo. But the real sophisticated one is Ultimate. Wore it last night on a intimate birthday party, together with the deodorant spray.

On my wrists a fragrances normally doesn't last longer than 2 hours, but in this case Code Ultimate has lasted over 4 and is still pretty strong with 2 sprays WITHOUT rubbing it in. VERY potent Vanilla note also, but nothing feminine. Love this and I will own it before too much longer:)

I bought a sample of this on Bonanza for a great price and really loved it. It's much stronger than original Code and smells more modern. I would use this one for day wear and Code Profumo for night life. They smell incredible together when carefully layered!

This is the best Armani Code hands down. I've tried all the new and old variants but can't just get what this one had. I wish i could find another bottle of this or even 5, i would buy them all. I love the opening and dry down of this. So good. 5/5

Armani code ultimate is a delicious cologne. it has a sweet aroma and females love it. The projection is mild, when the person is near they can smell it. I smell vanilla, tonka and wood. Is suitable for winter and special dates.

I like it, but the ladies really love it...from 18 to 80. As the name so rightly suggests, this fragrance is the Ultimate Armani Code and far superior to the original. Excellent Fall, Winter and Early-Spring evening fragrance.

This scent is gorgeous and it lasts FOREVER. It projects for hours on end and stays on clothes for weeks! I really get the cedar and tonka bean in this. It has the perfect amount of 'sweetness' for a male scent.

This reminds me of nothingelse.A special juice with perfect longetivty and sillage.Maybe one of the best Armani's ever produced.İt is better in cold wheather and keeps you warm and delightfull.Very sensual.

Bought this for £30 from Boots last week. What a bargain it has a gorgeous opening note of vanilla and lasts for hours especially when I spray it on my clothes. Great for compliments as well.
