Armani Eau Pour Homme

The uniquely plaintive train whistle echoes thought the huge train shed of Stazione Termini Roma. The doors with an airy whishing close and with the second whistle blast the sleek Ferrari red Italo bullet train begins to wheel like a silky sliver of light from cocoon of the station. Suddenly, like any city in the world, the backside view of Rome appears. Across the rows of polished steel tracks the walls and roofs of the city begin to slide away with increasing speed, crumbly, golden and eternal, farewell Roma. Onward the train glides toward the final destination of Venice. The train at top speed cuts with surging power and grace though the beautiful central valley of Italy that lies between the Apennines and the costal mountains. This deep lipstick red machine is now speeding along at a smooth imperceptible 250 miles an hour. Quietly it banks like a private jet gently and with much less noise it takes a turn. With each turn left then right it becomes a waltz across the landscape Train attendants move along in their chic uniforms with carts overflowing with snacks and beverages. Everyone on the train except the tourists are thoughtfully and beautifully dressed. Outside trees, and farms and hills and towns fly buy in a beautiful kaleidoscopic whiz of green light and terracotta shadow. The glamour of train travel is alive and well in Italy. In no time at all the Duomo of Florence appears on the right side of the train. In the station and out again and on over the pass in the Mountains between Florence and Bologna. There are high towers in the city of Bologna that lean too. Pisa has no exclusive rights on leaning towers in Italy. Bologna's can be seen high against the sky as the train rolls out of the station to cut across the Po Valley and into the Veneto. As the train leaves the mainland and ventures like Cupids arrow straight for the heart of La Serenissima the city shines on the lagoon. In moments the passengers are descending from the train and moving caught up in the bustling throng, though the station and out onto the Grand Canal. The whole world has changed with this startling view of Venice accept the legendary style of Italy and her people. They like Rome are eternal. In its classic men’s perfume from 1984 Armani Eau Pour Homme, the fashion house of Giorgio Armani captured all the style and refined polish one finds in a train trip across Italy. Sleek, elegant and powerful this fragrance has it all. It pops on the skin at first spray, the top notes of mandarin, green orange, basil, bergamot, lemon all conspire to create what I can only describe as jalapeno peppers. This surprising accord almost lost me the first time I tried it on but it was as it turned out just a little lurch of the train leaving the station. I was willing to overlook this in anticipation of the journey ahead. Up from the bottom notes comes the sandalwood to smooth and calm the top notes. This note like a good train conductor stays always present for the rest of the journey. As the opening notes die away and leave the sandalwood to greet the most powerful of the heart notes jasmine, and lily it moves to its restrained presentation which makes it stand out against the other overwhelming power fragrances of the 80’s. These two notes hold court over the more subtle rose, nutmeg cumin and clove. Here it is close to the skin and will remain so. As the journey though the heartland continues enter the notes of cedar, oak moss and musk. This lasts a good four to five hours. As the train begins to loose steam in the dry down there is just a whispered memory of jasmine and sandalwood left and they find support in a hint of patchouli musk and vetiver. At about 6 hours the ride is over. The first time I tried Armani Eau Pour Homme I found it to be a bit of a disappointment. That was two months ago. As time went by I would come back to it and try it again. Finally I was in tune with its subtle style. Like the extraordinary suits and elegant gowns of Armani it is all about understated elegance. FOUR GOLD STARS ****

A brilliant composition that exudes taste, class and epitomizes the word, "distinguished". This is the scent that you gracefully apply with a black Giorgio Armani tuxedo on a red carpet...refinement and masculine beauty captured in liquid essence. However, what makes it truly outstanding is that you could wear your favorite, comfortable pair of jeans, loafers and a white t-shirt to a patio lunch while wafting this aroma. Warm weather preferred - but one could wear this indoors year-round. It is, somehow, brillianty casual and also very proper. While some scents can 'wear you' or fall into either strictly formal or casual - this is a scent that the wearer, the man, defines. I see both sides of this as I realize that this wonderful creation from 1984 (nearly 30 years ago) is truly exemplified by the man who wears it, his attire, confidence and taste (as well as occasion). When Roger Pelligreno created this, Aromatic Citrus scents were full of wonderful richness - oakmoss, sandalwood, and woody vetiver. I am lucky to have older juice (Vintage) and can attest to its wonderful ambiance. It is shades of brilliant pastel citruses, with blooms of florals & a rich base of green moss and light, warm wood. The newer bottle I have is batch-coded to March, 2006. It lists Oakmoss and Tree Moss on the box and next to the Vintage, it is slightly more lemony and hollow, but still wonderful, articulate and a nice vibe. It is more distinctly, 'Citrus', with shades of bright yellow from the lemon and green zest from bergamot with the warmth of orange. Longevity of that bottle can be somewhat fleeting - but, herein lies the "problem", for some, with virtually all Aromatic Citrus scents. I, personally, don't mind that it lasts for a few hours. The glimpse of beauty can be enjoyed for an occasion and then reapplied/refreshed - it makes the wearing more vibrant as you can reinvigorate the wonderful citrus, florals, spices and green herbs. Still, a wonderful scent with great shades and hues in that bottle! I do get more longevity out of Vintage - but also enjoy a liberal wearing and refreshing it as well. To me, that is the beauty of Aromatic Citruses (Vintage or more recent). I will not buy the current bottling as ALL oakmoss and tree moss has been removed. IFRA should be ashamed. The oakmoss, wood and vetiver create a nice base that breathes on my skin. Not loud - but it doesn't need to be. This wears as a refined Aromatic Citrus should - fresh, vibrant and very natural tonality. Not too high-pitched. The warmth from the spices carry through to the base of wood, moss, herbaceous patchouli, radiant light musk and vetiver. The middle of this fragrance is smooth, with a full bouquet, including an ornate lily note and a light rose bloom. The appreciation I have for this is very high. I call it a 'reference citrus' as it seems to pull great qualities and notes out of a lot of compositions I adore, but present them uniquely and add even more to many of them. It is, unto itself, perfect. I will not compare this to any other scents, just formulations (Vintage to Recent bottlings). True excellence in a composition...the only requirement to wear this is to simply have good taste. Armani Eau Pour Homme...timeless. A modern classic from a house that exudes class. Cheers.

I am still kicking myself for NOT getting this, for $14.99 USD for a 50 ml bottle, at a grey market store 18 months ago. I had NO idea, then, what it was and after running home and looking it up and RUSHING back to the store...it was GONE! *wipes tear from cheek* Luckily, this is still available (OR WAS) at a major beauty retailer in the closest city to me; and I got a nice spray decant from that store manager and hope to get a full bottle, sooner than later. I believe this is the "newer" version, but still...it is simply stunning! Utterly citric and green on the first spray, THIS is what all citrus aromatics should aspire to emulate! Bright, jazzy, sparkling citruses cascading and cavorting all around you surrounded by the warm green freshness of basil...YUM! For something that came out in the 80's this is powerful; but not a powerhouse! It is classic in its manliness...yet clean and sharp and so very nice. When this begins to dry, a rather soapy lavender joins hands with a dry carnation as other less intense (but still lovely) feminine florals sing softly in the background. I do not get cinnamon, so much, as the dried nutmeg (warm smooth spicy/sweetness) that falls gently on the floral procession like a light spiced snow. The drydown, here sounds ho-hum, but is really well done with the dry pungency of oak moss mixing with the smoky and very sexy vetiver. There are some woods and musk also; mostly sandalwood and some cedar wood, and the musk is squeaky clean (as musk can get) and the patchouli (if any) whispers "sexy" and is gone! My nose is saying "hmmm, AdP's COLONIA gets an Armani make-over"! Sillage: great Longevity: impressive Overall: 4.75/5 For a citrus aromatic this is amazing, citruses are either "hit" or "miss" on my skin...and THIS is a hit, for sure, straight out of the park!! Once again, I sigh (deeply) and say: "They don't make them like THAT anymore" and THAT is such a shame. Dated? I think not...unless, of course, smelling CLEAN classy and sexy has gone out of style while I wasn't looking. Eau Pour Homme is something every man should have in his fragrance rotation. It is perfect for spring and summer and has enough OOMPH! to shine even on the coldest winter day. Work, play, a night on the town: it works for all of them. If you sniffed this before and said "No", I invite to visit it again (on skin) and let it develop and dry down completely...then sniff (deeply), exhale on it and sniff in again VERY s-l-o-w-l-y and softly and you will see (smell) exactly what I mean!

Armani Eau Pour Homme......... my first true love. I was in Biarritz, Southern France, just a short hop away from the Spanish border in the Basque region, somewhere around 1986; the height of summer with my then girlfriend. We wandered the streets of the town; an elegant old lady that maybe had seen better days but retained the charm of its illustrious past, when real movie stars used it as their playground and the likes of Bogart & Bacall held court at the marina in their Riva Aquarama. As we walked the streets, we felt the breeze coming from what turned out to be the air conditioning from a beautiful perfumery and headed inside to escape the blistering heat. The most wonderful, elegant older woman greeted us and we marvelled at the shelves and shelves of incredible fragrance, not really knowing what to look at or smell next. We continued to sample the incredible stock, when she reappeared in front of us & smiled ....... she held out her right hand to me and said “this is you” and to my girlfriend, her left hand, saying....”and this is you...... these belong to you.” I held in my hands Armani Eau Pour Homme, my girlfriend, Armani for Women. Fast forward some 33 years ..... It’s still my signature fragrance today and when I can find a bottle I can trust & preferably the Cosmair formulation, I get it. I made a decision on the day I found out that the original beauty had been been re-formulated, not to touch the current version and other than testing it in store when it was launched, I haven’t! In fact, of all the fragrances I have in my collection; some 150+, it’s the only one my wife (not the aforementioned girlfriend) ever comments on still, after 25 years. Familiarity I guess. Unmistakably an Italian citrus but the way those citrus top notes blend with the oakmoss is just the most amazing work of fragrance alchemy. The cast of supporting notes just hold everything together so beautifully that I place it right at the top of my list of all the light citrus ‘cologne’ style fragrances; it’s top of ALL my fragrances because of its masterful creation and the nostalgic memories it has been a part of. I realise that it may be considered old fashioned & out-dated by modern standards and fashions in fragrances but in my very humble opinion, it deserves its place amongst Dior Eau Sauvage, YSL Pour Homme, Monsieur de Givenchy and AdP Colonia as a classic citrus aromatic legend and tops my list, despite possibly being old-school. Then again..... so am I !!

Pure genius: masterful, architectural daylight. Bright Sicilian lemon, sharp petigrain, and green basil radiate from a heart of fragrant nutmeg and cloves and cinnamon and carnation, all on top of a perfectly composed bone-dry, mossy, woody drydown. A structural, symphonic masterpiece: the apex of timeless Italian elegance and sophisticated masculinity. Nothing else compares. My GOAT, if only it weren't discontinued and near impossible to find now. I love this random Reddit guy's comment about this juice: "I would not wear this on a date or to a club. Repeat after me: You do not wear this to a club. You wear this when you own the f*ing club." Seriously folks, let's mobilize forces and write to Armani/L'Oréal to revive this NOW. Send letters and emails to their offices in New York, in Milan, in Paris, to say how much Armani Eau pour Homme still commands a massive, dedicated following in the fragrance community, and how now we're all forced to seek out depleted vintage bottles at ridiculous prices, or other even less fortuitous channels, but would much prefer to buy direct from Armani if we knew we were getting the legit stuff. Flood them with testimonies of how beloved this stuff actually is. Talk about it on social media. Tag it and send it to all your frag head friends. Tell Armani how shortsighted and counterproductive it is to discontinue such an iconic, historic, masculine, classic fragrance that anchored the house for so long and so well, before the fragrance industry was hollowed out by corporate cost-cutting and synthetic shortcuts. The Armani line-up now is dominated by trend-chasing trash and its flankers: either aquatic screech juice or syrupy candy glop. We need to bring back the original. Even a limited-edition heritage run, an exclusive online-only drop, or part of an Armani/Privé high-end line, reviving this scent would be such an awesome tribute to the Armani's historic legacy, a major story for fragrance media and extreme fan loyalty, as well as a massive win for Armani brand purists. On second thought, forget the limited edition nonsense. I would happily wear this every day for the rest of my life. BRING THIS BACK, ARMANI!!!

This stuff's really nicely composed, though maybe not quite interesting enough for me to buy. Bokaba may be right about it being a less-sweet Monsieur de Givenchy, and I'd also say it's a tad more floral. It opens with a nice natural leafy lime: a crisp, starched-shirt kind of smell, almost completely unsweet. It also contains a mineral, grayish-green watery plant note which, to me, foreshadows the cucumber portion of the "cucumber melon" shampoos, lotions, etc. which have arisen in more recent years. This brew lies somewhere between a classic citrus Eau de Cologne, and things like Bulgari and Gendarme that I categorize as clean, professional background scents. I waved a sprayed test strip of this at my parents, and my dad thought the soapiness was too harsh. Right at the beginning, I'll agree with him, but this aspect subsides as the scent progresses. Eventually, very little of the citrus is left, and only the grayish mineralic plant aura remains, with a little extra vetiver and wood. In a suprising parallel to Bulgari, the marble-like grayish packaging fits the scent uncannily well. The lack of silver accents and the presence of the brown motley inhomogeneities match the slightly more organic character of Armani compared to the warmer but more impersonal Bulgari. The other analogy I draw is to Tuscany; I think Armani is how I expected Tuscany to smell before it turned out more musty and less citrusy than I wanted.

Such an understated timeless classic... I've circled around Eau pour Homme (the new version from 2013) in the stores several times over the last couple of years, wondering whether to test it or not. My olfactory memory from the 1990's was that of a great gentleman's cologne and I was genuinely scared if this scent should be either a watered down image of it's former self or simply being too old-school and that my tastes may have changed over the years. Fast forward to 2017, where I got my hands on a vintage miniature of this great juice and it does indeed still smell fantastic. Bitter lemon peel, lavender, sandalwood, clove and oakmoss mixed in perfect balance for a masculine statement. Not loud as many other powerhouses from the 1980's, but very refined and can be worn casually as well as dressed up. Reading the reviews of the new version, it seems to be somewhat close to the original even if IFRA regulations may have killed some of the oakmoss and replaced it with synthetics. Never the less, I find myself ready for testing the new one now - knowing that the original is still all that. If you come across an original vintage of this holy water, do not hesitate - I doubt that you would be disappointed.

Somehow in my bathroom cabinet I ended up with a small set of 6 5ml mini bottles called “collection homme”. It must be from the mid 90s because the newest scent in it is Acqua di Gio. I have no idea where this came from because I’ve never seen it before and somewhere between two moves after college it just sort of showed up. I tried the Armani Eau Pour Homme mini splash and was instantly transported back to my parents’ bathroom growing up as a child. My father had a bottle of this and would wear it quite regularly and it reminds me a lot of him from the early 90s. Now that I’m older and know more about the things I am smelling (at least I like telling myself this) I can appreciate it for what it is and not just, “this smelled like my father”. While I think Eau Sauvage has gotten my imagination running more, I love that this plays a little darker. It’s not quite as much of a blast of freshness, but the versatility is there here. The lemon is very present in the beginning but it’s much mellower and less of a *pop* of the Roudnitska masterpiece. The Vetiver comes through much more and is accentuated by the oakmoss in a very light way. It’s lovely stuff. Now just to hunt down a vintage full size bottle.

Out of all Armani's fragrance, Armani Eau Pour Homme by far one of the most exquisite and graceful men's fragrance from his line!! My friend ericrico's review on this fragrance is absolutely right on. His last comment about a modern day classic is simply humbling in my opinion. The opening notes of bergamot/lemon gives the fragrance a very aromatic scent. This frag is beautifully well mixed with notes of vetiver, nutmag and oakmoss give it a very fresh clean herbal/spicy vib making it STUPENDOUS!!! To give this fragrance the most ELEGANT, SOFT AND DESIRABLE aroma , the notes of lavender, jasmine as well as sandalwood complete this fragrance making it absolutely AMAZING. longevity is very high...silage is moderate making it very pleasing during the summer/fall months especially during the daytime. Overall thoughts, The fragrance is truly a global success which is still going strong since its creation back in 84'. The lemony/herbal aromatic scent is DEFINITELY a true GEM!!! I can't think of any fragrances that came out around the same time still going strong as Armani Eau Pour Homme. Rating this frag comes down to one word...ORIGINAL.....9/10

One of the greatest masculine scents from the 80s, strong citrus notes from the opening that actually stay strong in the dry down and set the mood for this fragrance. Masculine and effortless oakmoss and woody base give the backbone to this smooth italian aromatic. Good performance and well above average projection on my two bottles. I own a 2003 version and a vintage 1989 cosmair bottle. They are remarkably similar, with the cosmair bottle being a bit heavier on the oakmoss (which is to be expected due to regulations on oakmoss) and a bit deeper. But overall very similar, the 2000s reformulation is a great one and keeps the integrity of the original formula, which goes to show not all reformulations are bad. I do not have experience with more recent batches, but I heard the oakmoss is basically gone which would be very sad, as that is my favourite part of this fragrance.

Armani eau pour homme is the most balanced amoung the oldschool gentleman 's colognes, maybe only dior eau sauvage is equally balanced. Lemon, vetiver, lavender , lilly, musk and a touch of oakmoss: everything you need to smell like an elegant gentleman, this is the Mastroianni of the fragrances. Average performance, top quality! Vintage(black bottom) vs current(silver bottom): i have a bottle from late 90's, black bottom. The version i have is not super vintage but u can feel the old ingredients like the oakmoss for example. The current is very good, the dna is still there but the oakmoss and the oldschool vibe is toned down very much. Scent-9 Longevity-7 Sillage-7 Versatility -8 Presentation-6,5 Compliment factor-7 Back up bottle? Maybe My vote-9 In one word- uomo Alternative - dior eau sauvage, Givenchy gentleman vintage, Versace l'homme...

Well, I am not a 100% fan of Armani's scents because I think they are too expensive (at least here in Brazil) for a poor duration, except Armani Code, which is very strong. I received the Pour Homme as a gift from a friend and I have always heard about it and its complexity and quality. Now I have to admit that this one is very elegant, refined and well blended. The citrus notes are not overwelming as in YSL Pour Homme, for instance. In Armani Pour Homme the notes are completely dedicated to create a result: elegance, sophistication, class, etc. I love the mix of cinnamom, patchouli, sandalwood, jasmine and nutmeg. In spite of being to close to the skin, it has a long lasting. For those who not know, this cologne was originally created for Giorgio Armani before his decision of putting it in the market for everyone. Wonderful surprise!

Nice and fresh. An initial hit of bitter citrus with an underlying light floral mossy base. A close cousin to Eau Sauvage (with that bitter note), as well as a number of classic colognes, Armani's Eau refreshes in hot weather and radiates a clean, crisp, polite air. Classic in the sense that there's no modern sweet twist or aqua note, just a traditional blend that recalls a time when colognes were relatively straightforward and not necessarily simple, but restrained and conservative. Great for those times you want to smell fresh and clean without calling attention to the fact that you're wearing something, and for that, I like it a little better than Eau Sauvage. Have both the old and new versions - in a side by side test, they did a pretty good job with the new one. Differences are really minor.

i forget about this one, it is such a pleasing fragrance, very fresh and clean citrus smell, lasts a reasonable amount of time similar to other citrus blends that i have experienced, i still have a bottle that is about half full, i really like this one alot and it is a refreshing change to wear this one.so many nice citrus fragrances on the market, but this one really does not take a back seat to anything new that i can think of along these lines. a good standby that will not offend and very pleasing in an office environment, people will just say you smell good..thumbs up and worth a sniff. i guess it depends on what people expect, often it gets compared to now a day citrus blends, but this one was from the mid 80's.. reminds me a bit of the original gucci fragrance from the late 70's...

Absolute classic men's scent. I still have a old school bottle of this with probably no more than 15 or 20ml inside and i refuse to empty the bottle. Smells very sophisticated in a timeless way like a wealthy old man, wearing a suit in a high end cassino, drinking scotch in the bar at night with chill jazz playing in the background. He has no time for ho's and gold diggers, and only thinks about increasing his wealth. Zesty, dark, but charming and nuanced. I don't know about newer formulations but the one i own lasts forever, and projects very well for an hour and a half to two hours. Not a modern scent at all, but depending on the occasion, it still is very wearable.

Además fue el primer perfume, hace 16 años, que despertó en mi el interés por conocer las fragancias más a fondo; por aprender sobre las notas y escencias que las componen. Armani pour homme es un clásico, fresco, elegante, bien ensamblado y muy agradable. Considero que es para hombres maduros aunque pueden usarlo los jovenes sin problemas. No debe faltar en las colecciones masculinas o al menos hay que probarla en piel para conocerla y valorarla bien. ¡salud!

Armani has been in my personal top five ever since I first discovered it in the early 90's. It's light enough for summer and office wear, but distictive enough for an evening out. The sandalwood/spice notes are subtle and lasting, and retain some citrus freshness even after the top notes have gone. I've gotten many compliments from women when I wear it, and I'm sure it will be a staple with me for years to come. Armani is the perfect balance of distinctive and subtle, refined and elegant, yet sensuous. It's very comfortable to wear, and for me it promotes an easygoing, cheerful state of mind.

This is a great scent, A classic fragrance Never gets old! The scent is citrusy-fresh. It opens up with like citrusy- soapy then it moves to spicy aromatic heart with a classic base of patchouli, woods and oakmoss. I love Armani Eau Pour Homme. It smells so good and very pleasant. This is perfect for the spring and summer. The art of bottle design is very beautiful and Unique with the shadow of classic style. I'm so happy that I have it in my collection. In my opinion, It is a MASTERPIECE alongside Eau Sauvage and Chanel Pour Monsieur EDT. Two Thumbs Up. Bravo Armani ! Rating : 8.5 / 10

I don't know what to tell you guys, other than this scent separates the men from the boys. This is PERFECTION IN A BOTTLE, this scent has it ALL, a combination of a Gentleman and a Casanova. It's classy, sophisticated, cool, player like, clean, manly, WELL PUT TOGETHER, without being stuffy and old. It's a remarkable union of fresh, rich and sexy. I have two bottles currently. And if I had to pick a signature scent out of my current 70 bottles, this would be it. In summary, if you want to be a MAN you buy Armani Eau Pour Homme, and that's that.

DEFINITION OF MASCULINE! Absolutely fantastic Cologne. I started wearing this after I got a bottle from my father after he passed away. I went to the store to buy this because I absolutely loved it and unfortunately it is discontinued. I wanted this so bad like a fiend I bought two bottles on Ebay. I wish Armani never discontinued this cologne I would give this an 11/10 if I could, have not been able to find a replacement of something similar. Love the fougere classic manly colognes. Too bad a lot of colognes today are very sweet.

Gorgeous smell, its a mature scent but a bright citric one not just old man woods like so many. I still personally love it, my 1st bottle was back in 1998 so its bound to have been reformulated since then. You get a lemony bright woody masculine smell as the lemon dies down a bit the vetiver and woods kick in. Been a while since i wore it but every time i catch a whiff im transported back to a damp autumn evening making my way home in the rain with this on my neck. Could easily work all year round though.

One of the classic dad smells. This is one of the first few fragrances my dad owns and thanks to him, Armani pour Homme is absolutely lemony delicious to me. A very spicy retro scent that is simply timeless. I think of a man walking down the cloudy streets of France or Italy wearing a simple fall coat and maybe smoking a cigarette. He's waiting for his lady love near a cafe. It also brings up the imagery of an evening date where an elegant and attractive couple is dancing sensually together.

Le meilleur parfum de tout les temps, j’ai essayé plusieurs alternatives niches et j’ai jamais trouvé similaire vous ne fatiguez pas vous trouveriez jamais c’est tout simplement de la magie dans une bouteille Dieux merci Je possède quelques flacon vintage boîte verte militaire , la formulation actuelle est juste l’ombre de l’original , très synthétique elle manque de mousse et de profondeur et cette touche de magie Parfum 10/10 Longévité 9/10 Projection 9/10

So sad this scent is gone. Even the synthetic smelling replacement (bottle chrome at bottom versus original black at bottom) is gone. Luckily, someone told me to grab a bottle of Adolfo Domínguez' Agua Fresca – not the extreme, not the cedro, but the original. The scent is an instant flashback to the Armani original. The village sucks, but at the much cheaper price, go ahead and spray again after a few hours!

This scent is probably the best soapy old man in a bottle I’ve ever tried. Elegant, deep, citrus and moss. Opening is a bit harsh, but the dry down is absolutely heavenly. Performance is great on the vintage, could even smell it after a shower. Had to hunt down a vintage bottle after having the pleasure of experiencing two small vintage testers. The current version is similar, but misses that magic.

Classic, allround And timeless! It is a nice, sharp and elegant scent! I do get a lot of compliments when I’m wearing this! Especially in summer, on hot days this one does a good job. It does not hold that long but just take a travelcase with you! You should have a bottle of this on your shelve, to wear, layer, create! Scent: 8/10 Originality: 6/10 Sillage: 7/10 Bottle: 7/10

I had this cologne twice and it smells great. The longevity and the Sillage is moderate. I just wish it was a little more masculine and stronger. It's a little too citrusy and sought of sweet, but it's great overall, I mean I bought it twice so it can't be that bad. Would I buy it again in the future?? Maybe, I don't see why not. 😉

This is unbeatable. My favorite fragrance so far. Crisp and fresh, elegant and cool. A Classic fit for the real elegant man. I am waiting for the day I will find a fragrance that arouses my senses and soul more than this one. My wife also loves it. I have already worn 4 complete 100 ml bottles of it.

First spray with this was CITRUS! Like in ONLY citrus and I was sooooooo disapointed! BUT - then the citrus went away and this silky smooth leathery scent surfaced... OMG what a BRILLIANT scent! And it lasted like forever! A bit harsh in price, but you ́ll get one heck of a bottle in your collection!

My very first fragrance bought nearly 30 years ago. Saw it at the airport earlier this year before lockdown and was excited to try it. Whilst it did take me back, the current version is a shadow of its former self. The original was magnificent, fresh, slightly spicy, a classic real man smell.

I've had the Armani Pour Homme now for a few months. I really enjoy this one. It is stronger and more bold than most of the frags I enjoy. At first I am hit by the Citrus, then the sandlewood and vetiver really stand out. Very nice balance, sillage and longevity.

very good and very classic...fresh clean...one of my favorite or if not favorite armani fragrance....1984 did a good job of bringing this stuff to life...still this juice stands tall and strong amongst the many new competitors....thumbs up all the way still!!!!

Today I've got a vintage 100ml bottle almost new and it smells so good. I only paid $70. This carries so classic and mature vibe. The initial opening was a tiny bit harsh from the vetiver and spices, but 10 minutes in, whoooooooa. I'm back in the early 90's.

I'm a fraghead, I have many fragrances. Love them all, but this is the only one that holds a special place in my heart. It's the only one that I consider my signature for life ❤️. It's class and elegance without trying in a bottle. Timeless.

It is classic. Conservative. Suitable for day or night wear. Very manly, no vanilla. It is in my top 10 perfumes for men along with Egoist Platinum. Legends. Sniff vintage. Just bought it on eBay 50 ml, almost full for $40! April 2017 Happy!

A masterpiece in a bottle.an elegand,clean,fresh and sophisticated fragrance.it opens with a lots of citruses that are staying till the drydown .in the middle very nice mixed spices and flowers give way to a base of precious woods.10/10.

Dear o dear, why o why...why has it been discontinued? Its definitly cetricity but the rose cools and softens it. kinda' mix of both. its the closest thing to Chanel por home, but a softer version! Great for the office.Love it.

Terrific masculine citrus-wood fragrance that has a perfect blend of notes. Armani Eau PH has stood the test of time and is every bit as significant today as it was 30yrs ago. This is a great classic to add to your collection.

classic of all classics. I don't see myself wearing it on very special occasions, though. For me, it's a scent to be worn on a daily basis. I sometimes even wear it to sleep! Too expensive and I don't not understand why!

God this is so great such a subtle composition but so classy. I realized it totally smells like a more complex version of Florida Water cologne from the 1800s with the bright natural citrus with the clove + cinnamon etc.

I wonder nobody / hardly anyone compared it to old spice original . This is so close to it but is more darker and spicier . I love it and these type of scents are getting rarer day by day . A must have perfume for men .

WATCH OUT !! The BLACK BASE is the original, which has been discontinued. The SILVER BASE is the synthetic copy, which does not even come close to the original after the dry down. It smells .. synthetic, that's all.

I wore this to death in the late 80s/early 90s. It smelled like class, like money. Nothing smelled better than when you wore this with a suit. The notes described are spot on. Wish they still made it.

This is my favorite Armani fragrance. I have worn it since the early 90's. I wear it in the summer because it smells fresh and lemony. It is classic and sexy. I ALWAYS get compliments when I wear it.

Greatest fragrance known to man.......well at least I think so. Opens with a zesty citrus scent and dries down to a clean soapy smell. The reformulation is good but not as good as this masterpiece.

Almost impossible to find one these days. Someone got a "new" one from Ebay for $300+ and it turned out to be fake. This one is really close to the heart. Wish I could find one somewhere.

Grandpa is that you?!?! I love it, this is an old scent but in the sense of looking at an old black & white photograph of an old mobster. Barbershop fragrance & it really smells quality.
