Blanc Kogane

This fragrance is stunning. Let me say this, however, it is a very Jasmine forward scent and Jasmine flower is known to smell like urine a bit. So, you might get that at the beginning as the very pure and realistic Jasmine is the top note. But, that quickly dissipates and you will get the gorgeous musks, lily and vetiver and the best part of the Jasmine (not the urine part) stays around as a supporting note. When I tell you it is gorgeous after about 20 minutes, I do mean gorgeous... Whenever I wear this out, people will follow me to ask me what I am wearing. My husband had a small surgery and 2 nurses followed me out to ask what I was wearing and another asked as I was wheeling my husband to the car lol. I can say that I don't smell it so much on myself but people smell it on you. Very lady like, classy and sophisticated in my eyes. Def try it as it is stunning but give it a few minutes to dry down.

The opening on my skin smells like a much better made, more substantial and complex JHAG Musc invisible, before morphing in 15 minutes to a higher quality Kiels original musk. Has nothing to do with Le Labo Musc 25 which is my favorite white musk from any house, full stop. This one also has a clean laundry element with the Egyptian jasmine, and a warm cotton vibe. If you are a white musk and aldeyde lover like me, you will absolutely like this. What you won't like is the price and performance. But in any case, if cost is not a concern, then this is a great option in this genre. I like spraying it on my clothes definitely more than spraying on skin. On skin you get a very sharp cheap shampoo kind of smell but the dry down is why I decided to buy it even though it’s so expensive. It dries down to this gentle but mesmerizing innocent(?) scent that’s like clean fur from a beast that cleans itself with milk(pls don’t quote me on this, I just yap whatever comes to mind). I wouldn’t say it’s milky but it slightly reminds of the scent you get from milk soaps and it lasts basically like at least a week even with just 1 spray on your clothes. I say it’s a 10/10 but the head and heart notes are definitely not it.

Reminds me a little of White Linen (Estee Lauder) and a little of Musc Outreblanc (Guerlein) but, in my humble opinion, is superior to both. This one is so well-balanced between the animalic and clean facets of the jasmine, the gentle sexiness of musk, and that astringent femininity of aldehyde (so well done!!), and it has outdone all the musk/white flower themed perfumed I've tried (including Valaya by Parfums de Marly). It makes one think of a well put-together lady with chic and class, and I get compliments from friends with fine taste. It is pricy but will last you forever and is worth every penny!

To me this is the epitome of a summer scent & one of my favorite musks. I’m not sure why but my noses picks up on a heavy salt note. My best description would be is - A beautiful strong musk accompanied by notes of salt & a beautiful jasmine to balance it all out. It’s a strong performer & lasts a long time on clothes (around 12 hours). People are hyping up cedar chic, but imo this is sooo much better.

Calling all white cashmere wearing sophisticates... this one’s for you! Smells expensive, discrete, refined, stunning!!! Another user mentioned pretty woman vibes and I absolutely agree. The notes are so well blended/ melded together. Coming from someone with a sensitive nose I found the volume here delicate. I don’t even like patchouli notes but I love this! 11/10

@denica this contains both Jasmine Superinfusion and Jasmine Grandiflorum which the latter contains ton of natural indoles. These are extremely expensive materials but it is definitely the Grandiflorum that is giving you that sulfur induced skank breath vibe.

Got a 2ml vial, testing this today! It's fabulous, lily, jasmine and white musk. Clean, classy, like an aristocrat girl in white lace dress in those oil paintings. If you like the your perfume to smell clean and make everyone happy in the office, try this.

A floral musk my skin but better type of scent. Close to skin and very elegant, great all year round. I love everything about it except the price. Way too expensive for what it is.

It's so narciso rodriguez coded, to me it smells like a mix of NR pure musc and musc noir which gives a cozy vibe in the cold weather 🤍 I'm a big fan

Fooled by the name, I was expecting something white, innocent and clean, but I believe I'm facing a dirty scent. I normally get along well with indolic scents, but I think this is an indole that's too realistic! No no, this isn't indole, because I smell indoles all the time from jasmine shrubs, when the jasmines are nearing the end of their life, or while smelling my white lilies... this is something animalic, and whatever that thing is, there's way too much of it... It mixes with the aldehydes and charges straight up my nose. I know this style well from vintage scents, that is, getting the aldehydic clean and the animalic base together right at the start, but the increase of synthetics in recent releases breaks that union a bit. I endure the opening and carry on. I'm starting to get white musk. This part is lovely, white flowers (resembling lily not jasmine) and a soft but thick musk. It even reminded me of Musc Pallida (Hermès) here. Still... That note, lingering... it's probably what makes this composition sensual. In the drydown it turns into something completely creamy, so much so that this cream reminded me of that famous L'Occitane shea cream. Cold, powdery, soapy, clean, thick. I'll give this scent another chance some other time, when I feel ready. I just can't move on without saying this: never, ever, ever blind buy it. I didn't, I got a sample first and said phew. I don’t like Narciso Pure Musc. But I do like Guerlain Cruel Gardenia and s.Oliver Selection Woman - both floral and musky. One more classy and refined, the other more musky for everyday use. Many people find this profile boring. I find it clean and beautiful. Blanc Kogane features lily (ever so slightly green and soapy) instead of gardenia and smells more modern than any of the classics it resembles. Narciso (white cube) has creamy musk+vetiver and 724 MFK has airy aldehydes, but the features they share with Kogane White are more distant and fleeting than the other two examples. KW’s is virtually the softest in the entire Prive line. Performance and silage aren’t for those who already find the aforementioned perfumes too subtle. It is a clean, daytime, “put-together” scent, innocent but sufficiently elegant, which makes it ideal for office environments, medical personnel, teachers, young bridesmaids etc ... It blends well with the skin and on mine it doesn’t turn screechy or sour or too floral. It’s lovely and smells like a beautiful lazy morning and white shirts. I’m happy to have it in my collection, because the scent profile appeals to me. If you find those boring - skip it, especially, if you are looking for something more interesting and intense.

This is the child of Monegal's Atractone Musk and Narciso's Pure Musc For Her. Which, for me, means a lot of contradictions. I love Narciso, and I can detect the same white musky vibe there. But it is also present the same indolic bathroom-like smell that I perceive in Atractone. To my nose this one smells like a fresh soapy water being poured over a public restroom. It wants to be clean, but underneath there is something unpleasant. Smell so much more sophisticated and well blended than Atractone, and its pretty, delicate and fluffy. But the indolic note lies there, very subtle, quite noticeable for me. I usually love this scent profile. I love Pure Musc. I wanted to love Atractone Musk. And I will be able to enjoy Kogane, after further testing. Luckily for me I'm not in love with it, because this line is expensive. EDIT: Come back to say that the drydown is divine. Need to keep exploring this, since I feel very attracted to it in spite of that indolic note.

This is perfect if you like smelling clean and fresh without smelling perfumey. A very nice soapy yet powdery musc, unisex and perfect for year round offering moderate performance. I love the Armani Prive bottles and was very happy to get this as a gift. I also own NR Pure Musc and to nose they do smell quite similar and perform about the same, I don't think Blanc Kogane is worth paying the $ difference between the 2 tbh. I will also say that if budget is no issue, although I I like these 2, there are 2 other clean musky scents (similar profile but not dupes) that I far prefer and I suggest you check out before getting Blanc Kogane : Musc Shamal also by Armani Prive and Musc Outreblanc by Guerlain. Better frags and also better performance. 😉

Yes, definite Narciso Rodriguez vibes here. It must be the musk. It's got that woody/white musk vibe scent of all the NR perfumes. I like it at first but then it starts to bug me a little bit, as musks often can, in warm weather. Elegant, subtle yet distinct. It's nicely made - an abstract perfume, probably a crowd pleaser. I'd say it's ideal for autumn or winter, when the cosy musk will give warm kittenish 'come hither' vibes!

Opening features aggressive aldehydes and a white floral accord, jasmine I think. But it dries down musky, still maintains that soapiness from the aldehydes and really smooths out. Blanc Kogane is a really nice clean scent, I would say quintessential but the opening could be headache inducing to some. Really nice, surprised this isn't talked about more.

This is really interesting. I get a sensual and heavy white floral, but not in the sense of the flowers being too strong, they are more dense, if you know what i mean. It’s a really pleasant fragrance. It’s clean but has depth. It has a vintage, expensive vibe. I really like it.

That’s a nice sheer yet radiant white musk with powdery and slightly animalic notes. It smells like a true musky scent of a worn T-shirt or bed sheets. Quite sexy, but for some might smell a bit indolic or “dirty”.

Blanc Kogane opens with a lush, indolic jasmine wrapped in crisp aldehydes. From the very first spray, it’s already polarizing for some people, but I like it. Many people struggle with indolic florals, and the contrast between the clean, sparkling aldehydes and the slightly dirty, animalic jasmine can be challenging. Sadly for me, this phase doesn’t last very long — only about 15 to 30 minutes. As the fragrance develops, lily enters and softens the composition, adding a gentle sweetness. White musk soon follows, turning the jasmine and lily into a fluffy, soapy, and smooth white floral accord. At this point, Blanc Kogane becomes much more approachable, with a distinct laundry-musk character. It feels like one of those fragrances built heavily around modern clean musks, which can trigger partial anosmia for some wearers — likely because we encounter similar scents daily in detergents and fabric softeners. For me, this is one of those fragrances that performs better when sprayed on both skin and clothes. In the drydown, patchouli appears and everything settles into a soft, musky, white-floral skin scent with a subtle earthy touch. It is unisex but leans feminine. It is very versatile, suitable for any season and occasion. The bottle itself is a work of art, with a presentation that matches the vibe of the fragrance. However, at full retail price, it feels overpriced in my opinion. This one is best appreciated by lovers of musky, clean, laundry-style fragrances.

I thought that these combination of notes were going to be my dream fragrance. But at first spray, it smelt like the paper strip. I smelt real close to see if I was going crazy but ‘white card’ was my initial reaction. It’s a musky, whispering, soft white down-filled duvet of slight disappointment for me anyway. I much prefer Rondo Armaniano over this and feel that Blanc Kogane should have been more like Rondo Armaniano in nature. Interestingly, I thought I’d hate Noir Kogane but, wow, this one is a show-stopper. It’s bold, stunning, dark, smoky and masculine in a luxury Arabian style. I didn’t get the luxury of trying either on my skin but I feel privileged to experience them on a testing strip so early before release.

I got a sample today and I’m so happy I resisted the urge to blind buy it few weeks ago. Considering the price tag this is rather generic- a soft white floral scent. I think it would make a nice fragrance for a bride on her wedding day. It’s pretty and linear, airy and sweet. I envision a romantic spring bride wearing it while she dances around in her floaty white dress with flowers in her hair. It’s innocent and full of hope, but definitely not my style. I do love the bottle, it’s gorgeous, but doesn’t justify the price point.

Sweet white flowers meet white musk. It smells clean and dirty at the same time. It has tremendous sillage and diffusion. I can still smell the smelling strips I sprayed with the sample spray a day later and feel it in the air.

Aldehydes are so strong, very soapy but to me it doesn’t smell like Blanche. I wanted to love this one so bad because the bottle is pretty. I wish they come up with a flanker without the aldehydes.

It doesn't smell like Narciso!!! It has a musky undertone but it is fairly soft and sharp. It smells very clean, a bit soapy. The musk here isn't similar to Narciso as it lacks softness

This is almost identical to Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc. Just that I prefer Narciso - it's smoother and not laundry-like like Armani.

Very, very white floral and a hint of aldehydes but it does not work for me. Very mature, I don't feel like myself wearing it because it reminds me of someone's fancy mom or grandmother. Not much silage, the longevity isn't really there, but you can smell yourself for 3-5 hours. It reminds me of 724 but the Armani version is a lot more dense and not as “clean”.

I usually like jasmine scents but this is so indolic to my nose, it smelled like a cat peed on a flower bouquet.

The first minute was beautiful, and exactly what I was looking for: airy, ethereal and cottony musky white florals. Alas it didn't last, something fatty and skunky took hold. I don't know, may be indoles mixed with a screechy musk have this effect. I wanted to like it but hard pass for me.

There’s a certain category of perfumes that smell like bad breath to me, I have them listed as a custom shelf on my profile. this is one of them. Note: i fell in love with Guerlain’s Musc Outreblanc at first sniff, i’d say i had the opposite experience with this, not really similar.

Nothing unique but it’s nice. It is mainly a skin scent though so imo it’s not worth the high price. It’s just too simple and I would have liked at least a few hours of a scent bubble, even if it’s intimate for the $$. There’s a difference to me between a soft scent and a skin scent. This was just too subtle for me, I can’t smell it unless I put my nose to my skin after 30 mins. I wanted it to project softly around me in my bubble instead of just being an arm huffer. Would be a good office scent or if you work in healthcare as it just smells clean ever so faintly. I can’t imagine anyone being offended by it. Not the biggest fan of aldehydes but they don’t bother me in here. For an aldehyde perfume though I prefer Dia woman which wears soft but projects better and lasts a lot longer. I would choose Musc Pallas by Jovoy over this, still a soft clean scent but it has better performance/longevity.

Why in a world where we have lost our minds over Cedar Chic, Blanche, Valaya and Pure Musc Blanc are we not talking about this. It's every bit as beautiful. It reminds me of Apollonia in the opening. It's a touch sharp but then...oh my it's sophosticated white florals and soapy powderiness. I get jasmine but I also get iris even though there's none listed. I love aldehydes but combined with the patchouli I can see why it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea especially if you were expecting a classically clean fragrance. It's somewhat unexpected but I love the different take. This isn't a pretty fragrance as such but it is beautiful and elegant. If it were a person, it would be a beautiful woman dressed in cream silk and cashmere remote and aloof in public but warm and loving in private. She's not for everyone and that's why she's for me.

Ok so I went to selfridges on Oxford street to smell this before I almost blind bought this. Glad I did. My first reaction to this was curiosity and uncertainty. It smells mature, and took me back to my Nan’s vintage smell of powder puff. It must be the aldehydes. I did not buy. Went home with all my samples and my impression has improved. It’s softened and become a classy musk. Quite refined and clean. I prefer the dry down. Still unsure as it’s so expensive but I have a feeling this will be one that I’d like more and more but not sure for the price if it’s worth that risk. Would love a sample. The dry down on the blotter is beautiful and clean. The mature lady powder puff bygone era scent has vanished and now smells like pure clean luxury. I knew this would happen. I don’t want to want these overpriced gorgeous scents 🙈

Just received my sample, thankfully didn’t blind buy. I thought I would love it based of narciso comparisons...or just based of it being “soapy musk”. It’s very mature and takes a while for the indolic jasmine to disappear (gives it a urinal/public bathroom vibe). The very FAR dry down is nice but this is mainly an indolic jasmine, vintage aldehydes , lily & and a bit of fluffy musk . Also, not similar to narciso white cube or pure musc. Can’t say for a fact that if you love those, you would like this... so sample! Update: tried side by side to pure musc by narciso, the dry down of blanc kogane is very similar to pure musc. Not safe a blind buy.

I blind bought a full-size bottle at full retail ($400 with tax) and only after that that I read the reviews here. My heart skipped a beat when people mention the animalic/dirty facet 😂 I'm no stranger to what they describe. Musc Outreblanc by Guerlain, which I paid almost $500 for, opens delicate and ethereal on my skin but settles into a raw, slightly fishy/eggy musk undertone — definitely not uncommon in high-end musks. Thankfully, Kogane doesn’t go in that direction for me. While it certainly not a straightforward, innocent musk either, it never turns sour or overly animalic. It feels much more controlled and wearable overall.

I recently purchased this perfume after smelling it at a store. Was not immediately wowed but once it dried down... wow ! If you enjoy light floral / unisex ish scents, you will appreciate this one. It does smell a bit off at first but once it gets to dry, you are left with a beautiful clean floral scent. It lasts a while on me , i can also smell it on clothes days after spraying . While i would not recommend paying 350-370$ for it , if you can find one online ( i found mine for less than 200$) and enjoy other smells like Bal d’Afrique / Eau de Papier ... then it is worth it.

I think at this point I can just go ahead and say anything with a tonne of musks and aldehydes is goign to be right up my street. It's not giving strong floral even though there are a lot of florals beneath. A touch like musk shamal but without the strong woodsyness. Just nice and clean, not old school not overly floral - it is much like narciso's white bottle pure musk which happens to be my favourite of that line. I could buy up 50 bottles of this genre such a nice every day scent.

In my opinion Blanc cogane is half clean and cloudy musk , half very dirty and animalic. On the first spray I can detect something very animalic , something that smells like intimate body parts that is diluted with white floral musk. Also patchuli is very present. With the time that dirtiness dies down and it becomes slightly higher end and more floral musk that reminds me Narcisso Rodriguez's Narcisso EAU de parfum(the white cube) .

This is beautiful, sweet creamy and fresh jasmine musk. It’s nothing like the NR perfumes. It is so much more refined and well executed. I thought it was like Musc Shamal but that is more vanillic and wintery. BK is just perfect for everyday. The jasmine is not indolic but warm and creamy. It is like a sweet bouquet of flowers. It’s perfect for a bride, but my wedding day was over 30 years ago and I am going to buy it!

It’s a musky bland scent, there s some white floral there,but it’s not appealing or rounded, it’s more like dry white floral. It’s nothing offensive in it, in the drydown it smells like clean clothes and the musk is reminiscent of the one used in Valaya, but not as strong as that one. Not a scrubber like Valaya, but not a like necessarily either. Just meh..

I love the perfumer who is cloying new scent but in a smart way, in this case, I noticed that this perfume has 70% similarity with ''Musc Outerblanc by Guerlain'' I own it and I knew every single part of it so the Armani version has an Indian jasmine vibe instead of Milk note and it works in a good way, it gives a warm vibe instead of fresh. 7/10.

First spray contains the chanel 5 aldehydes so thats why is sayin some peope that this is remaining them for Chanel 5. Snd all the beginning is a little dirty becouse of the indolic jasmine.After the aldehydes gone there is an addictive musky lily beautifule feminin and old money style perfume staying. I would buy it if I get reasonable price.

The dry down is DISGUSTING !!! Smells exactly like sweat and bad breath ! I can’t even describe it but this smells like dirty, sweaty, smelly person I had and authentic sample, and I tried it multiple times on paper + skin; give the same bad scent regardless People wear perfume to smell good; but you wear this if you want the opposite !! 0/10

I almost blind bought this because I thought it would be a white Lily and musk scent (according to the notes here on Fragrantica) but according to the Armani website there is no lily in it. Top note : Aldehydes, Lemon, Pink Berry Heart note : Jasmine, Mahonial, Ylang Ylang Base note : White musk, Vetiver, Patchouli

Blanc Kogane is a really unique scent! It's definitely floral, but the aldehydes give it this sparkling, almost soapy freshness. The jasmine is gorgeous, and the musk adds a subtle sweetness. The patchouli and vetiver in the base ground it all nicely without making it too heavy. Great for daytime wear.

Absolutely nothing like NR PM. This is indolic and aldehydic, which NR PM is not. I can’t think of any other white musk that has such a strong aldehydic component. It’s quite synthetic and powdery, in a good way (for me anyway). Worth a try if you like overspending on clean musk scents.

A cloud of fresh chalky powder on first application. This should be the sister fragrance to the similarly powdery Rondo. I imagine this to be really pleasant in the heat of the Italian summer. I love this style of fragrance. The dry down is quite similar to NR Pure Musc...
