Cedre Olympe

Cèdre Olympe opens distinctly pungent with bitter orange and bergamot, quite spicy. Omnipresent from opening to dry down, pine and cedar backbone the composition in shades of green and brown lending complexity in their contrast of crispness and austere woodiness. Quite linear until now, the dry down is deeply resinous and woody – mellow and suave. Very masculine leaning for unisex scent. Longevity is good at 8-10 hours, shorter in very hot conditions. Sillage is heavy-cum moderate. A debonair woody-citrus scent quite unlike any other. A shame this was discontinued. 8/10

A gust of wind that blew across the Aegean Sea brought the scent of the forests on Mount Olympus... The wind swept the smoke of the cedar trees burned in the temples for sacrifice to the gods. The peppers are dry, refreshing and fresh and sour bergamot. In the sun, the white Greek dress flutters. This is probably one of my favorite Armani. Strongly fragrant, but clean. Like sunny weather. There is vetiver. The green citrus aroma of petitgrain reminds me of Biarritz in Chanel. It's a little bit anaesthesia. If you can still find Cedre Olympe, maybe you'll like it.

I finally got a bottle at a decent price. It starts with very sharp citruses and petitgrain. the body itself reminds me of a green tea somewhere, and then there's this intense cedarwood. The cedarwood here is sharp, almost cumin-like. So overall, it is a quite decent male cologne.

This is a truly lovely scent. I've been testing this now for about two weeks trying to decide between purchasing this or Vetiver Babylone which has a similar citrus/woody vibe; albeit much sweeter. Ultimately I made the plunge on a full bottle of Cèdre Olympe. I find this to be a far more interesting and certainly longer lasting and more powerful. For me the cedar note is quite a bit stronger than the citrus but the pungent lemon tree leaves still make quite an impact. This really is a wonderful combination of strong fresh citrus and an earthy cedar with a dash of pine. While it's listed as unisex, I think this might be a bit cedar heavy for the ladies (not that there's anything wrong with ladies who wish to smell like cedar!). Big thumbs up!

Hello, I'm new here as a member, but have been reading reviews for some time now and though I've been a scent addict all my 59 years, I'm just barely enlightened in the language of fragrances. Cedre Olympe is a beautiful scent. I hope the learn how to distinguish the notes, but do recognize that 20 minutes into my first spray, cedar and pine joust for attention. I don't anticipate any disappointment as it unfold upon my wrist. Thanks to all of the contributors here for the insights that you share, T.

it was discontinued... so sad... it was beautiful and wonderful... truly tragedy.
