Cyprès Pantelleria

Smells similar to Bottega Veneta's Illusione for Him, but older. As if Illusione doesn't make me smell old enough... Old-smelling aside, this is a great scent. Very invigorating yet calming at the same time if that makes any sense. Invigorating because it's reminiscent of a dewy pine forest, which is very fresh, but calming because it's got a quasi-meditative quality to it. I like it, but it makes me smell old. I can imagine a rather charismatic 50-year-old+ wearing this in his study. For some reason, I think of an old university professor. I would love to smell this scent in a room, just maybe not on myself because I'm not one who likes 'mature' fragrances to begin with, but yes, if you are into the notes (clary sage, vetiver, cypress, oakmoss, and some bergamot), you may want to give this one a try. I'll stick with Bottega Veneta's Illusione for Him. These two smell considerably similar that I don't think I'll need this; plus, Armani Privé IS an expensive line, but if you're into it, you're likely not going to be disappointed. Blind buy safe, but you have to appreciate mature fragrances and the notes above to like this one.

Tried this the first time last week, got the tester as well, have to say in my opinion it is a superb fragrance! On my skin it started off quite strong but before not too long it developed into this incredible airy, watery, and salty fragrance that made me reminisce of hot holidays in Greece walking by the sea; for me it is definitely a summer fragrance, could be worn day or night so it is versatile in that respect. In terms of sillage, while I believe it is an EDT concentration, on me I still got about an arm's length bubble around me and it definitely leaves a scent trail; even later in the day, maybe 6/7 hours in, I was still getting whiffs of this amazing fragrance as I was moving. Having tested the fragrance for a week now, I will definitely be returning to buy a bottle, well done Armani!

I’m really enjoying this! It starts off very citrus fresh then morphs into a hybrid of a classic chypre mixed with a classic fougere. It’s predominant notes are cypress, lavender, sage, oak moss, vetiver and Amber. It lasts on my masculine skin for a good 6 or 7 hours; which is just about right for an EDT concentration. Even though this is likely marketed as a Summer/Spring fragrance, it’s Winter here now in Sydney and this is perfect for brightening up my day. It’s a versatile and good performing fragrance that I think would suit anyone seeking a fresh and uplifting style of fragrance.

LET IT MACERATE!! Armani must've cheaped out on the production, because when I bought it smelled nothing like at the store. But I came back to my Cypres Pantelleria 6 months later and let me tell you, it's one of the best fragrances that I've smelled, so much so that I'm writing my first review for it. It smells like a forest next to the sea, like a coast during the summer in Greece or in Lebanon. This is something that a very clean and classy old man would wear, in a good way. Suitable for any occasion. 4 hours longevity, medium sillage.

I have over 350 bottles of fragrance in my collection, and this smells like nothing else I own. This is a 'WOW!' fragrance. Whenever I wear this magnificent creation and I close my eyes, I am transported to the southern coast of Italy...the day is balmy...I am walking through a small cypress copse, flanked either side by flowering citrus groves, overlooking the ocean. Pure bliss, not a care in the world. This is tranquility in a bottle. Thank you Mr. Morillas.

Moment i have smelled this i knew i needed to have it. Fresh, green with watery notes. It is going to be killer on the hot summer days. Remindes me of AdG Profondo but greener less watery, and more mature. Office safe, clean and compliment getter for sure. It really smells like cypress woods heated by the sun mixing with the sea in the background, you can even hear the waves. Another great one by Mr. Alberto Morillas

Love it! So refreshing and great for summer! You can indeed feel like at the mediterranean. More then with Aqua di Sale and Womanity for example. The problem : amberwood ruins it a bit for me which makes me frustrated because it is so good otherwise!

Breeze at Mediterranean sea...no summer perfume, rather a in between season..or for rainy days ..obsessed with this perfection...so many layers ...a warm rainy day perhaps...but a happy one Reminds me of narciso radiante

This stuff is great, its long-lasting and fresh.

I find this to be a very yellow-green kind of scent. The opening is quite loud and energetic — it immediately grabs attention and makes you curious about where the composition is going. I actually enjoy this first stage. As it settles, the green facets become stronger, while the citrus notes start to stand out more clearly. The overall character leans slightly masculine, though I would still place it in the unisex territory. There is also a subtle medicinal, aromatic-herbal nuance running through the composition, which gives it a slightly sharp and intriguing edge. And then there’s one particular note — difficult to identify exactly — that adds a distinctive twist. It’s probably the element that prevents this fragrance from being everyone’s cup of tea. Overall, it feels fresh, herbal, and a bit unconventional, with a personality that might divide opinions.

Pantelleria is an Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea, located closer to the African coast than to mainland Italy. A quick Google image search of "Pantelleria" reveals stunning pictures of the sea and rocky cliffs. Cyprès Pantelleria by Armani Privé captures this essence perfectly, evoking the feeling of standing in a lush cypress forest on the cliffs by the sea. It’s fresh and summery but not like the modern "blue" fragrances most people are familiar with. This scent is not sweet at all; it’s almost photo-realistic, exuding a serious, mature, and sophisticated vibe. Due to its distinctive character, it’s not a fragrance for everyone and is not recommended for blind buying. It has moderate projection, decent longevity, and is perfectly unisex. The presentation and quality are stunning, as expected from the Armani Privé line.

Cyprès Pantelleria is surprisingly long-lasting on my skin (I still smell it after 8+ hours from spraying). It has a beautiful fougère-esque opening, with lots of cypress, I also get more of a lavender vibe than sage really. The citruses in the opening are not really identifiable and help elongate and propulse the various herbs and aromatics, thus serving more as a supporting role than anything else really. In the development and closing of the fragrance I get a pleasant salty note/accord (probably the "marine notes"), but not in a cringy "Acqua di Gio" or hyperrealistic "Sel Marin" by Heeley way. All in all I seem to be enjoying this one quite a lot.

This is a perfect old-smelling summer staple. It smells like a sophisticated gentleman in his 50s, carrying a freshness that is masculine and classic. The opening is like an old-fashioned freshness boldness that smells expensive reminds me of a lush forest on an untouched coastline and unlike the typical shower gel; the cypress and moss give the more mature complexity and gives the smell a “heaviness” to me without projecting very far past me. Performs good for an expensive EDT this will last you throughout a hot day and can detect it, give it a try.

Discovering the Armani Privé line is having deleterious effects on my finances. This is another really nice one. The water note is spot on, and it gives the fragrance an airy, almost effervescent feeling. The citrus and herbal notes meld together beautifully. To me this is unisex to feminine, so I am surprised by the votes on this one.

Similar to Acqua Di Sale in the drydown only, but not identical, (maybe 50%). Open and mid is citrus and cypress. Performance seems middle of the road. A good citrus woody aquatic that smells pretty classy and one that am enjoying testing, but I'd choose ADS over this. Scent 7/10 Performance 5.5/10

Lol finally found my ex's perfume i've been trying to find for the longest time. Received a few samples of this after buying two armani perfumes. Don't know if it's just cus of scent memory but I find this perfume very pleasant, sweet, marine and unique in its own way.

This is a really sophisticated and fresh scent. I love the citrus opening - it's bright and invigorating - then it settles into this lovely woody-aquatic vibe. It lasts a long time too, which is a bonus!

basically a more expensive version of salis by by erbario toscano. only worth buying if you have money to throw around.

Cypress, moss, citrus - fresh and beautiful, but leans a bit more masculine than I would like for myself.

Red algae, myrtle, and oakmoss. 95% similar to "Erbario Toscano Salis" and "Acqua Dell' Elba Acqua"

Really nice salty cypress/foresty vibe.

The love child of Chanel Chance's eau fraîche and Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc, with the Soleil Blanc gene coming out on top. It's less fresh than I anticipated. The vetiver and patchouli base notes make themselves known almost immediately, resulting in a mildly scratchy sunscreen scent, but sans the trite coconut note when you think of sunscreen. This is not a good blind buy. Depending on your skin chemistry, (if you are like me) the citrus+bergamont top note combined with the scratchy vetiver/patchouli produced an immediate impression of Clorox cleaning products. After a dry down, the perfume settled into lemon, sage, vetiver, and mild musk/creaminess This perfume does have the potential to be magnificent on the right skin. There is a creamy woodiness and an evident water note that makes you think of spring edging into summer by the beach. If you are going for the aesthetics of the Mediterranean/Italy, this perfume is ballooning skirts, bold sunglasses, and chunky rings (think Monica Bellucci in Malèna) rather than the quaint, small-town girl dressed in linen (for which Wood Sage and Sea Salt would be more fitting). Reviewer skin chemistry: Fruity scents are exaggerated, florals turn powdery. Preference is for fresh/marines/woody notes.

This did not agree with my skin at all! It smells like laundry detergent. And I don't mean the nice GIT or MFK style, I mean it smells like if you were to open a jug of Tide and inhale the fumes. That along with some generic blue marine vibes makes this a thumbs down for me.

The initial spray was a fresh, aquatic, feminine fragrance which made me really curious, however, the drydown is just too heavy. It turns into a patchouli, oakmoss bomb on me, which is quite headache inducing sadly.

Smells cheapish, bland and fouguery. Definitely not a fan, the most uninspired creation from the Prive line. Unsurprisingly, the nose behind it is Mr. I have released a 100 bland perfumes in the last decade, Morillas. By the way, Pantelleria is a small Italian volcanic island very close to Africa. The landscape is rugged, and there are no tall trees there. Cypress doesn't even grow there, ffs!

fantastic opening !... this is my problem with niche lol people want stuff to change, not me most the time lol this is a perfect example give me a "linear" version of just the opening id buy, dry down is ok fin pretty good but pass

Linear, soapy, inoffensive, boring. Like pleasant-enough small talk with someone you forget immediately after.

Pungent bitter sickly sweet. The drydown is meh but the opening is terrible.

Incredibly natural smelling, and very smooth. No headache inducing sharp spikey neroli. The entire fragrance experience is very smoothed and rounded off. Very unisex. Smells like a high end soap. There is an aldehydic nature to this that reminds me of BDC EDP. Unfortunately the scent only lasts a couple hours. Other than that, this is one of the best springtime clean wash scents I’ve come across.

The sales lady told me this fragrance was inspired by Mr. Armani's summer residence on the Mediterranean isle of Pantelleria. I find it very hard to believe that his house smells like cheap room spray. Very disappointing fragrance, built around watery notes and green aroma chemicals. Not good....

Beautiful woody green cypress with a sharp bitterness supported by classic fougere-style herbs, has a subtle naturally sweet citrus on its base that gives it a nice contrast. Love how it pulls off the aquatic vibe without relying on a metallic accord. Good performance

Really nice. Fresh but strong. It is elegant and smells expensive. A good option if you want something fresh that is not shampooish and that also works at night and in cold weather. I think it is more masculine than feminine. Overall, a very pleasant fragrance.

This is a sweet-tooth fougere hybrid derived from Diesel’s Fuel for Life man, except this one is less interesting and lacks the ironic fun of it’s predecessor. Not worth your money.

Not bad green airy kinda metallic scent with ok to weak performance it depends ... light & easy to wear ... it’s just not worth the price

Cyprès Pantelleria smells like something spicy, lemon, moss, cypress green branches and something that reminds me of wet toilet paper.

This is pleasant, but projection and longetivity are not good. Smells metallic too, probably the cypress.
