Eau de Jade

The sun illuminates your soft, pale skin and shimmers in the spirals of your dark curls. You blink as to block the light from your delicate features...your jade dress fails to conceal the golden stars that hide within its fabric as you dazzle in the sunlight. You sparkle like the most vibrant citrus caught in the brilliant embrace of a fiery sun - your unstated elegance quietly supersedes you. Behind your emerald eyes lingers the passion of a dozen burning flames - all to which you pay no heed. Your smile remains a prize that many fruitlessly seek...all wish to be close enough to catch a breath of the angelic musk that you effortlessly exude. You simply are not of this earth yet you remain here to remind countless lost souls of which they can never attain, even for a moment. But in this moment, I caught your eye as the sun danced between us - a smile united our worlds in a flash, and then the moment was gone. Day 96 - A flicker Listening to: London Grammar - Stay Awake Notes: I have only sampled a few decants of the Prive line and I must say they are exquisitely beautiful yet succinct creations. There are a lot of fumes that smell similar to this citrus and musk masterpiece, but I would say few do it as gracefully as this. As a whole, this scent is basically neroli and bergamot meets fiery pepper and an enveloping creamy white musk...that's it! So simple yet so enchanting - I don't if it's the actual mix or if all of these notes play magically on my skin. It feels as if it was made for me as I rarely fall in love with summer scents, but I have fallen for this. It lasts a subtle 8 to 10 hours on me and I always want more! Suitable for any gender as these notes lie somewhere between comfortable and sensual....maybe you will find the magic as well.

This may seem like an overreaction to some but I think Eau de Jade is a masterpiece! It's citrus but it's a very, very rare thing to truly capture the pungent and waxy nature of the zest. This is like a concentration of that juicy sharpness, Pure lime zest!!!Many citrus juices neglect this crucial element, Armani and whoever the nose was on this seem to have nailed it. I made Coconut and Lime Ice cream recently and had to use alot of lime zest, infact a much of the cooking I do whether Chinese or Indian or even for putting in a corona or whatever... I use a hell of a lot of limes. This represents the true smell of zest and juice left on my hands afterwards but to just say it's that wouldn't be fair to the complexity of this composition. Eau de Jade is built to last it really did well on my skin and then the white floral element and pepper comes though more into the dry down without ever defining the nature of this scent. Again the musk base is in perfect harmony with the other elements in here...I love it! Top marks and fairly reasonably priced, I already held Armani's prive range in high regard now I've finally tried them all I'm absolutely in awe of them.

This is such a great bergamot scent. Everyone on YT that has reviewed it got it pretty spot on, great bergamot + crisp Neroli/ light crisp pepper, eventually becomes creamy bergamot from the tiny bit of vanilla which isn’t really detectable as a note itself, just adding texture in the dry down. It’s simple but great. A bit like bvlgari Pour Homme soir, which is another favorite of mine. Eau de Jade by Giorgio Armani opens with a very rich bergamot neroli blend that when the citrus notes start to mellow you smell this really sexy almost masculine black pepper note that mixes well with the aftershave like musk. I love that it is so bold, but it’s really quite simple – I just think the ingredient quality really shines through here. This is one of those fragrances that makes me really love that I got interested in fragrances as hobby, it was such a great find!

After trying on all of the scents in the Prive collection, Eau de Jade is my absolute favorite. I guess as a citrus lover I am biased! I love how simple this is. The lime is a crisp and zesty "ting" mellowed out sophisticately by the peppery musk. Perfectly clean, refined, and unisex. The lovely salesperson at the counter says it reminds her of the lime balm her Puerto Rican mother used to give her when she was a child; an anecdote I found delightful. Eau de Jade is a great perfume. Too bad its excellent qualities still does not merit the outrageous pricetag :(

A bright, crisp, clean green citrus opening, immediately warmed by the base note; while it says bourbon vanilla, on my skin I got a much more sandalwood=cedar note. A classic cologne scent, which is a bit too masculine for my tastes, but could easily be worn by either sex. Unlike most colognes, it has excellent longevity (6 hrs) with very limited sillage. Nice, clean, classic scent, but don't look for anything more with this one.

What's not to like? It's a refreshing citrus scent that lasts for more than an hour. Very nice - especially on hot days. Weird bottle and ad campaign, however. C'mon, Armani, what's so dramatic about a citrus scent? (What's not to like? I just answered my own question when I saw what they're asking for it. Overpriced!)

Powerhouse citrus out of the gate then softens to the orange blossom/neroli with some musk to give it depth. Nice but nothing so special I would want a FB. Nice summer scent to try out.

Fragrantica lists bergamot, but I smell buckets of lemon in this fragrance. Very zesty, the pepper adds a dryness that makes me think of a bowl of lemon rind, warming in the sun.

I thought I loved it when I discovered this a few years ago, but now I'm plain bored with it. It has a "cold" undertone to it especially in the beginning, which could be due to the neroli. Later on it turns into a sweeter, slightly warmer scent, when the musk surfaces. It gets an "ok" from me, as it's not a very comforting or feminine scent, if that's what you're after (like me). Also, at least at the time I bought mine, they only sold 100 ml bottles. For a scent like this, 30 ml would do just fine, which would also lead to a more justified price tag...

"Eau de Jade" as well as "Vetiver Babylone" were my first introduction to the collection of Armani/Prive fragrances. As hesperidic fragrances go, "Eau de Jade" unfortunately did not impress me much. It opens with a rather bland Calabrian bergamot note, which seems watered down somehow. It's missing brightness and juiciness. I do like the reflection of the Madagascar peppercorn against the citrus, as it does create a pleasing albeit short lived accord. After this, it dries down to a barely perceptible synthetic amber. Very disappointing as I had high hopes for this one. Much prefer "Neroli Sauvage" from Creed and "Aqua Universalis" from Maison Francis Kurkdjian over this. (150)

I don't understand what is going on with these PRIVE lines. The make a cologne and charge their asses for them. Neroli Portofino, Eau de Jade and so on. All of them smell like colognes are safe and pretty but don't offer something new in the genre. I mean with vetivers happened the same but at least some expensive offerings have something new to say. In the colognes I don't get that. I feel there should be some law in this like "every cologne, no matter the house making it, should be sold for the amount of 100 Euros or less". Otherwise we are in danger of having to spend a months payroll to just refresh ourselves.

This opens with a blast of bergamot, then some of the neroli starts to come out. However, boy is this a super light scent. I was hoping for a slightly peppery, musky neroli/bergamot, but after 30 minutes I can barely make out anything. If this scent was 10x stronger, it could be good, perhaps. But as it is, it's a super disappointment.

Eau de Jade by Giorgio Armani is a nicely done citrus scent which features a dominant blend of bergamot and bitter neroli. You probably wouldn't reach for this fragrance all too often, but on a sweltering Summer's day it would seem incredibly appealing due to its freshness. It was YouTube reviewer Beauty Meow that brought this fragrance to my attention, and admittedly I was hoping that it would share a similar vibe to Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino. Unfortunately Eau de Jade doesn't have the same floral sweetness that I find present in Neroli Portofino, but what it does have is a clean and crisp blend of green citrus on a base of zesty pepper and white musk. Eau de Jade is a unisex fragrance, and although plain and somewhat linear, there's something quite magical about it. The Armani Prive sales representative was a huge fan of Eau de Jade and recommended that it be used for layering as it contains very few notes. I would love to try layering Eau de Jade with a vetiver rich fragrance as I feel it would add a crisp and energizing aroma to any fragrance it's paired with. I unfortunately don't live in a climate that gets super warm during Summer, so I probably won't buy a bottle of this in my lifetime. I do however enjoy wearing Eau de Jade and consider it one of the nicest citrus aromatics on the market today. It's a shame that it only comes in an Eau de Cologne, as I would love for it to last just that little bit longer on the skin.

not worth the price tag. mega super weak. tested this in a hot humid tropical climate. the first 1 minute after applying on skin, it smells like bergamot or petitgrain (a green-ish citrus kinda smell). Then it disappears and replaced by a very faint sweet-ish smell that only lasts for 3 minutes? After that it smells nothing. totally nothing. weaker than any skin scent or body mist. totally vanish. frankly, just buy one of those bergamot/petitgrain essential oil if you love the top notes. way much cheaper and easily available. thumbs down.

Speaking as a gal, for me this is an instant scrubber. The harsh, persistent generic citrus is pure loo cleaner, and by wearing it I am thus transformed by the scrubber into the scrubber! geddit?! Seriously though, this is linear and synthetic and the price tag is absurd. I cannot distinguish notes, accords or phases due to the overwhelming sense of LOO CLEANER. Encens Satin, Cuir Amethyste, Rosed'Arabie, all lovely. This, not.

Perhaps it is because i own a 2012 batch of the fragrance, but this surprisingly performs quite well on me for a fresh scent. The best way i can describe this is if Wulong Cha by Nishane and Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford were mixed together. It's definitely a lesser known Armani Prive, but in my opinion its one of the nicest summer fragrances ive tried to date.

This is a clean, crispy zesty citrus scent. I do enjoy the smell and can imagine that it would perform better in the heat of summer. However the price that it is being sold for is ridiculous considering the longevity that it has. It they offered it at a fifth of the price, I would buy it. However, at $290 a bottle for 3.4 ounces, I will pass on it.

Crisp light citrus fresh scent encountered by a blast of neroli. I enjoyed it but for a niche price ?!!..i dont know ! Reminded me of original vetiver by creed , same type of citrus note there. Good for warm weather , very much unisex.

Immediately drew me to memories of the giant lemon tree in the backyard of my childhood home. Has the same exact fragrance and almost bitter tang of lemon blossoms freshly picked, their scent lingering on your fingertips. Refreshing!

Lovely, absolutely lovely. The mingling of the floral notes with the pepper is attractive and enchanting all the way down to the very light and boozy base. Outstanding longevity and wonderful diffusion. Highly recommended.

I've owned many cheapies(Sara Lee or Avon) before. Cannot remember what but one of them came to mind when I sampled this. Needless to say, I'm not impressed.

a very light crisp citrus fragrance, doesn't last long however and smells like the taste of corona and lime.

i dont know what you guys want from a fragrance? its a light soft citrus stuf that makes me feel great
