Emporio Armani Stronger With You Freeze

I've had a chance to wear this in freezing cold winter, and now in warmer temperatures. I'm a fan of the entire line--except the original. I've seen people say this is a fresher take on SWY. I don't really think "fresh" is a word I would use to describe it. Brighter, more citrus. Cooler, yes. Like a cold sprite on a hot day, not a fresh breeze or clean shirt. In colder weather, this opens up very citrusy, very bright. Performance is what you would expect from an EDT in the winter: Average. But it's still nice on a bright winter day, from open to drydown. 5-7 sprays in close to freezing temps. In warmer Canadian spring weather, it's a citrus and bubblegum opening. It's too sweet for me and my better half for the first 5-10 minutes, but it quickly settles and is fantastic from there. Still sweet, but not so juvenile like the opening. Above average performance now, I would stick to 4-5 sprays under 20 degrees C (68 degrees F), and maybe 2, max 3 sprays above that temperature. Would avoid daytime over 27c/80f degrees, but in the cooler summer nights this will be amazing and different from the freshies.

This one's a banger! So fresh and still with that well known SWY DNA that we all love. To my nose it starts with a beautiful and rich citrus blast, with after a while mellows down and gets closer to the OG DNA, but without losing its citrusy freshness. I get a subtle hint of a soapy powderiness in the dry down. I don't usually love powdery frags, but this stays in the background and is very much likeable. Projection is totally acceptable but definitely not a monster, however longevity seems to be OK, with maybe 4 hours or so on my skin. An absolutely great spring and summer frag! I just bought a dupe of it from "nicolefragrance.se" so I can save up on my new bottle of Freeze. I'll update when I get it to let you know how close it is to the OG. UPDATE: So the dupe is decent. Initially quite similar but the drydown is different. The OG is more profound, more complex and sweeter and it has substantially beter longevity. But since the OG is becoming so scarce, a dupe might be worth it if you're looking for an alternative.

I really like this scent. Some people say it's "nothing special", and yeah - there are far more "special" smelling fragrances out there. But to me this fragrance in particular achieves something not many others do for me. The weather were I live is very hot during the day and very cold during the evening, and SWY Freeze opens with a refreshing mix of citrus and ginger in the beginning, then slowly transitions into a slightly sweeter (and just the tiny bit heavier) vanilla and cardamom combo. Making this a no brainer type scent for me at least. By no means is this a "blue scent" in my opinion - but to some it might serve the same purpose and use cases as the Y line, Bleu de Channel or other blue scents. It doesn't project as well as the (pardon the pun) "stronger" fragrances in the SWY line, but I don't feel it's a deal breaker, especially if you can find it for a fair price despite being discontinued.

I have intensely and expected this to be more of the same but not at all true. I find it very different to the original Stronger with you DNA. Fresh and bright on the opening with the citrus and slight sweetness. It dries down very clean and stays fresh without the citrus of the opening which only lasts 30 mins to an hour but still retains the slight sweetness throughout No gourmand sweetness of the original and in my opinion drys down to a scent that's very very close to Chanel egoiste platinum.... which is no bad thing ! I disagree with others who say it dries down identical to intensely this is simply not the case it's totally different. I do agree with bluelux the drydown is really nice and has a clean barbershop vibe . also agree with baliszonyi. The drydown does remind me of chanel egoiste platinum which I also like and own.

If you're comparing this to Stronger with you Only they are completely different, the only similarity is that they are both suitable for all year round depending on the climate where you live in. Here in the sub-tropics SWY Only it's an all year round fragrance, both day and night, except the high heat during summer days. Freeze is suitable all year round, except the coldest days and nights in winter. Only is the same as the original but not as strong and not as sweet. I don't think you need both, personally I have Freeze, the citrus is delicious on top of the SWY DNA, and I'd prefer the original with the sweetness for cooler weather. Hopefully they release another Freeze sort of flanker in the future now that this one is discontinued.

I love all the flankers in this line. Don't care about the original. Absolutely is my favourite, but I'm really glad I found this one. It's definitely unique which is nice because I've been picking up a lot of popular ones lately. The fresh citrus punch is massive in the beginning, and then it's just a delicious sweet and slightly masculine scent from there. It's currently -8 Celsius where I'm at, and I'm not a huge fan of citrus in this temperature but it works. My girlfriend liked it and said it seemed a bit more for the evening because it's definitely sharper in this weather. I think in warmer temperatures it will change faster and have a different character. Looking forward to what that's like, and I'll update my thoughts then.

It is much fresher version of SWY. Only a bit less sweet and dry down comes much sooner. Base notes are pretty much the same with less Amber wood sweet. I actually like the quick setting of this fragrance since the fresheness can veer this fragrance into "synthetic" ish fresh if you over spray it. Good for all ages during warmer weather but I can say you can wear this any time of the year at anytime if the day with modest amount of sprays. Not a cold weather fragrance but if you are going to be wearing this in the office, anytime of the year works. I actually prefer this more than the og SWY. Great longevity if your spray it on clothes (7-8 hrs) with modest projection and sillage.

So imagine this: You spray SWY Freeze and you are hit with this cooling light fresh spicy mildly citrus opening Then its followed by the OG SWY DNA - that chestnutty slightly sweet vanilla Beautiful fragrance, why this isn't turned into an EDP or Extrait is beyond me I got a small 15ml bottle for £11 and i just wanted to smell it since i heard it got discontinued, i am glad i did. This contrasting combo of fresh icy opening + warmer wintery dry down needs to happen more often. I believe Angel Share On The Rocks maybe doing something similar so i am looking forward to trying that. You can rock this all day every day and its unisex with an ever so slight masculine lean.

why the HELL did they discontinue this? i was very shocked to put my nose on this, this is absolutely amazing! this is like armani's version of YSL Y. you can tell there's the SWY dna sitting in the background but with so much uplifting citrus/summer vibes in the top belting at you. its clean and aquatic but the vanilla in the base gives it such a pleasant sweetness. its kinda like the same sweetness you get from layton. like you KNOW layton has vanilla in it but you're not smelling straight vanilla. it just adds a great sweet foundation to let the other notes shine even more. this is hands down my favorite from the line and i now own all of the SWY's.

dont wanna sound biased, but this is my absolute favorite smell. as much as cool it is to not be mainstream and whatever, this perfume is for me 10/10. Got me the most compliments, stays on ur skin for quite long and projects on my skin perfectly. i have been looking for this fragrance everywhere pretty much and i cant find it. dont be confused by the "freeze" in its name, its a perfume that can also be worn in summer. citrussy, a fresh spice and apple. idc what anyone says against this perfume, for me it'll always stay s tier. if i find this anywhere again im buying it 100%.

Went from loving it, to hating it, and loving it again. Maybe that’s because it might be one of the weirdest fragrances in my collection. Why? Well, the scent itself is really sweet, yet it is really fresh at the same time. That combination of vanilla, ginger, lime, and mandarin orange with a touch of lavender and green apple in the background resulted in a really good blend. Just because of that scent profile, I think it’s very suitable for every season and almost every occasion. The performance is also really good on me. Easily 8 to 10 hours+ with a very good projection.

Tested it today. i get a lime and ginger vibe in the start. In the middle you gety like a semi fresh semi sweet scent. Very much like the original but just a bit fresher vibe, it doesnt project much, this is the least projecting, then original and intensely is beast mode. I got Intensely, chosen that one above original. I can see taking this one for day, as it's the most versatile. It is not a wow scent, but a very fine scent. very versatile and pleasing. Edit: now 12 hours later still getting whiffs of my skin. Wow this is longlasting

I love most of the Armani SWY line especially the original and this Freeze was a blind buy for me. Well, no regrets I love this one. As a fresh take on the original, its opening, performance and projection, are just right up my alley. Worthy to wear for Spring and Summer and a valuable addition to my collection. Huge fan of original SWY, for me one of the best frags. Blind bought this one. What to say , not so fresh aside from its citrusy opening, very boring/generic drydown, not even remote resemblence to original dna. It's even closer to Y edp than original. No cardamom/chestnut in the drydown. more like vanilla/amberwood combo. I still use it as a summer evenings frag (as said, huge fan of original, so I save it for fall/winter). Smells a lot like the original, but less sweet. Bit different nuances from the citrus and ginger, reminds me more of Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Yellow Dream, but also less sweet and focused more on wood-notes. Longevity is OK, projection is terrible. But that doesn't really matter to me. I just have to go heavy on the trigger. Conclusion: Love the scent, would wish for better performance tho.

Great flavor! It's a pity that it seems to have been discontinued, as always happens with really interesting flavors. imagine that luxurious sweetness stronger with you, but muted by 2 times, and hidden behind fresh citrus-lime fiber with ginger. The bottle also has a steep matte coating like frost. Durability was good in the early versions.

Not going to lie I thought this would be terrible. However upon trying a miniature bottle I wish this wasn’t discontinued. It’s a gorgeous unisex sweet and fresh stronger with you, everything you want from the original edt and more fresh with a combination of lime and ginger. Simply amazing, with about 5-6 hours of actual longevity.

The overall profile is warm and sweet, coupled with a bright and fizzy effervescence in the opening. Not as sweet as it's predecessors (but still sweet). Very pleasing and blind buy worthy if you like this style of fragrance. Performance is average on me (but I soak up frags). Handsome looking bottle on the shelf to boot. Thumbs up!

A great smelling summer fragrance let down slightly by performance. The opening is very heavy with lime but has a vanilla like sweetness lingering in the back. The drydown keeps like lime note but moves it further back in favour of a more familiar swy smell, like if the OG was made less nutty and sweet and more bright and citrusy

Its criminal how this is rated the worst emporio armani stronger with you formula. I really think this is sucha underrated and i dont understnad how more people are not talking about it. It truly is a head turner of a fragrance that is incredibly quirky vinegar elevates the emporio style.

Its beautiful and fresh version with cirtus note who remind me a little to lacoste homme original version but ''You'' its more fresher... you can wear in spring summer, but if you dont like sweetness try before you get.

It goes a different way then the original, it's very very well blended wich you would expect from Armani! Smells incredible,very good performance in longevity and projection,will get a 100ml as soon as posibile!

beautiful DNA wow on the opening, only issue is the performance is just terrible on my skin. maybe 30 minutes, so sad because i really love the scent profile. Jah know why the performance so bad.

I love this cologne, imo it smells like a spicy lime. My favorite from the swy line right not. i bought it 2 years ago and honestly im heartbroken that armani discontinued this fragrance

This Stronger With You Freeze is AMAZING. Super fresh and citrusy at first, then it dries down to this warm spicy vanilla scent that lasts all day. Perfect for summer!

I don’t know why people don’t talk about SWY freeze more, this is my favorite swy flanker and it’s super versatile imo

Fresh and sweet not overwhelming, but very much a crowd pleaser sweetness. Great for Spring, day or night use.

Absolutely amazing such a shame it is discontinued

I think I like this more even than when I got it. I really liked it before, but to me this is something really special. You could wear this any damn day of the year no matter how cold or hot it gets I think, maybe so long as you don't get too carried away with the sprays. It's a fragrance that I think you could wear in almost any situation as well, I could wear this at the office in my beige Dockers and a button up shirt, or I could wear this butt ass naked with my girl in bed. This is a sexy fragrance, this is a business casual fragrance. It's exceptionally versatile, and I also just really love the way it smells. I think of it almost like a modern day Boss Bottled or something like that, I feel like Boss Bottled in like 1999 had a similar effect where there's really nowhere and no time that you wouldn't be able to rock it. This is also a sweet, somewhat gourmand but also fresh fragrance like Boss Bottled. They really don't share DNA, but they both do have fruity notes that are front and center. Maybe if you love Boss Bottled, but you've been using that one for years and you want something different but that makes you feel a similar way, see if you can find this. It's discontinued I think sadly, but I got mine for like $60 a year ago I think and maybe you can find it for a similar price, I think it's worth it at that price point or maybe even a little higher. It lasts long for a freshie, sweet fragrances always seem to just last forever on me, even La Nuit De L'Homme which a lot of people complain about the longevity, seems to last and project on my skin for hours and hours and this one does the same thing. It's pretty strong for a freshie, that's why I think maybe in the summer you might wanna ease back since it'll get super loud in high temperatures with those warmer notes and maybe it'd end up being a bit obnoxious, just be aware of that. Get this though, if you can find it, get it. It's too good to have been discontinued, but I guess Armani wants something that's dumbed down and not nearly as interesting probably, since that's the way a lot of their fragrance lines seem to be trending. This is a 9/10 for me and I'll wear this a lot in the spring and summer. If you see it for $75 or something, don't even hesitate just get it because it's only going to end up being one of those ones that goes for $250 a bottle once the supply is scarce.

This is some really fucking good juice right here, it reminds me a little bit of 1 Million Lucky in that it's fresh and gourmand at the same time but it's also doing quite a bit more than the Paco Rabanne does for me. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Lucky, but this is just superior seemingly right now in every way although I'll have to wait and see about the longevity and all of that stuff and give it multiple full wearings to give a full assessment. Right now though, this is amazing and I'm gonna be rocking this all spring and summer and probably all year long because this stuff has facets that I look for in pretty much any climate other than maybe tropical, super humid weather but at the same time the ginger and citruses off the top almost gives this a sort of tropical vibe even now that I'm smelling it again. Day or nighttime scent too. Get this while it's available, even though it's tough to find in the US, find you a bottle right now while it's under $100 because they just released a new, more generic fresh version of the Stronger With You line apparently, and sometimes that would mean a death sentence for Freeze here, but hopefully not because this is great. I would say to err on the side of caution though if you've been thinking about getting this, now just might be the time to pull the trigger because I can say with full certainty that when this gets discontinued it's going to become a classic much like La Nuit De L'Homme's Frozen Cologne flanker that's now going for over $200 a bottle.

Tried it at the local perfume shop today. Initial impression is that it is quite similar to the original, but less sweet and more appropriate for daytime wear. I am not sure about the performance though, it didn't seem to project or last as long as the original. But definitely interested in purchasing a bottle if discounted. I have and like the original, but it is a bit too much to wear at work (where I spend most of my day). Edit Jan 17th: I kept the paper strip I tested it on in my car, and when I got into my car this morning, I could smell it inside and the drydown was really nice. The description woody fougere is spot on. The lavender is quite prominent, and you really get the barbershop feel, in the nicest way possbile. I decided on the spot to get a bottle for retail. Tested it out today, and it was even better on skin. It's fresh and smooth, perfect for the upcoming spring! My (female) colleague really loved it with an over the top reaction. I am going to give it more wearing next week and see, but I already like this one a lot! Stupid name, but it's worth checking out!

I was given a tester when I visited my local perfume store and was asking about this one. This is definitely in the same line as Stronger With you, the DNA is pretty recognizable in here. It is fresh and sweet, not gourmandly sweet though, more like ripe citruses like clementine or mandarin with granny smith apple kinda sweetness. I prefer the dry down because it reminds me more of my signature scent, the original one. Amberwood and vanilla are pretty soft but still very noticeable. The performance is a bit weaker than the original, obviously, but still quite long lasting for a freshy. On my skin, it lasts for 4-5h, projection is around 1,5h. After that the projection is moderate to soft. I hope spring and summer condition helps this to perform more and last longer. Of course I tasted now when it's very cold here haha All in all, I like it. Not a love at first sniff like the original, but... it's good, okay.

It's lighter but brighter and cooler flanker of the og, less sweet but it's still sweeter than majority of the mass appealing frags. I'll still put this down under the PR One Million, Invictus, Jpg Le Male territory but a more semi gourmand taste. A sweet syntheticness that's somewhat spicy, with the chestnut and vanilla in the drydown with added woods. Suitable wear for all day, warm and cold, school or office. Scent profile makes it good for dates and night out too. To be honest, this seems really suitable for the ladies. I would love to smell this on them. Would definitely want to get close to one wearing this. It's addictive to smell and very delicious. Based on the time the opening goes off, we're looking at 5-7 hours of longevity, individual's skin dependent. Verdict: 8/10 cuz it's smelling Abit too good and sweet on me.

Emporio Armani SWY Freeze doesn't get the love like the other flankers in the line but I'm gonna tell you why it deserves the love. When first spray this you get that burst of citrus especially the lime and the ginger that I pick up immediately. As this fragrance goes through it's stages from the mid to the drydown. You're reminded of the original Stronger With You but with SWY Freeze this a fresh and spicy take on this flanker where the original is more warm and spicy. In the drydown you get the marron glace (glazed chestnuts 🌰) along with the Amberwood and Guaiac Wood 🪵 that gives you that sweetness in the background but to me it's the lime and Ginger that gives off that freshness from this fragrance. I really like this flanker and is more versatile than the other flankers from the line. You can't go wrong with this one.

It's not difficult to see what this fragrance is trying achieve, and that's be a lighter, fresher interpretation of the original Stronger With You. As it turns out, it does that pretty well. The vanilla and chestnut are toned way down and the cardmom in the opening is replaced with lime and ginger. It smells similar to the original but it's not nearly as loud or as dense, so as far as I'm concerned it checks all the boxes of a typical "fraiche" or "sport" flanker. That being said, it's not the most exciting fragrance, and nothing about this DNA makes me want to go out and buy a full bottle. I suspect many others felt the same, as it seems to have already been replaced with Stronger With You Only. Easy come, easy go, I suppose.

easy to like and different enough compared to the original and Intensely. certainly worth a buy these days, since it's very often on discount. maybe it's because it's going to be discontinued soon. I paid it about 35 euros on notino; Boss and Lacoste fragrances usually go for that much (and more). so, to me it's an excellent deal. of course, there's an expected drop in performance (compared to original and Intensely) since it's meant to be lighter. then again, you're probably going to wear it during the warmer days, with only your shirt on. like I've said, it's very easy to like and recommend. with this buy I finish my Stronger With You collection as I'm not going to bother with Absolutely and Only.

green apple, lots of lime, a touch of ginger and a light tangerine. an almost cocktail start I would say, but very pleasant. then lavender, sage, tonka bean and geranium (almost the same notes as ysl l'homme parfum). all softened by marron glacè, vanilla, amberwood(ysl parfum) and guaico wood. sin had started well with the fruity notes divinely mixed with lime. but then it becomes stronger with you with the addition of lime. good scent for those who do not like aquatic or citrus fruits in the summer but basically it is not a good thing if you have swy.could be too sweet at 30°C. low performance. vote 7/10 because it is a good experiment that succeeded in half despite the notes already heard.

This is a generic and very basic scent. I said that but in the good way. This is citrusy sweet fresh fragrance. It opens with a lot of ginger and lime for me. The green apple is noticeable but sintetic. It has a sort of vanilla vibe that brings the swy dna. The performance is not very good but this scent will do the work for a date ot going out. In conclusion this scent is good for the summer days and everyone around you who doesn’t know much about frag will like it a lot. Women like it to. But its not something special. If you can find it give it a try.

I find the mix of citrus with boozy & woodsy warm notes a really interesting concept. I like the overall affect. Honestly, this is an innovative way to brighten up what is basically a more traditional warm and inviting fragrance. Of course, as with just about all citrus based fragrances, performance isn't as long and projection isn't as great, that's to be expected and not a criticism. The presentation is nice, the frosted bottle really describes what is held within. Somewhat overpriced but not a ripoff.

in my previous review I already mentioned the expected drop in performance compared to the original or intense flanker, but only after using it for a while now I noticed it's the only fragrance in my entire collection that is not "jumping" off my skin at all. like, it literally never happen, it's a permanent skin scent from the start regardless of the number of sprays. I still like it, but because of that pretty much every other summer fragrance I have usually gets picked before Freeze.

I agree with Mr.dondunna7 that this is better than the OG due to that bright citrus, spicy, and a hint of sweetness opening that makes it wearable and extends the best part of the SWY scent profile. It works better in the hotter weather. Although it dries down to the same SWY nutty, resinous, vanilla, woody base, the opening is where the magic happens. I was on the fence after all the mediocre online reviews until I sampled it. Worthy of trying.

This stuff is nice. Citrusy gingery fruity aroma at first after 1 hr Sage, Lavender and mixed woody notes are more prominent. Later on hints of vanilla and cardamom can be noticed. Not much of a performer, about 4 hrs. on skin stays for 6 if I over spray (8 - 10). Can be a good date scent and if your girl likes it then it's worth your $$. Scent 7/10 Sillage 7/10 slows to 1 ft after 2 hrs. Longevity 7/10 Value 7/10

Tested it today, to me it smells like a fresher take on the original, and not as sweet, best part is the first spray from there it becomes a rather boring citrus, the scent is not superstrong as the intensely, even lighter than the original, 2 sprays on my hand and after 5 hours i can smell it but it doesn't project much anymore, ok scent but not really necessary if you have any of the other two imop.

I was really surprised by this fragrance as it takes a U turn from the SWY line and creates a fantastic all year versatile fragrance. The performance is not mind blowing but the scent profile is so clean and fresh it makes up for it. Not complex or challenging and overall is pretty generic. Discontinued Price: N/A Longevity: 6/10 Projection: 5/10 Sillage: 4/10

Very similar to original, just a little lighter. It is sweet, warm spicy. Not one of my favorites or everyday fragrances, but i wear it when i want to mix things up. Its not bad at all, just too sweet for my preference.

I bought this one when it first came out but don’t wear it often. It’s just too sweet for my taste. I’m honestly not surprised that it was discontinued since the original and other flankers in the line are far superior.

For me, this has a similar scent profile to Spicebomb Nightvision but with worse longevity and sillage. Nevertheless, it's nice and enjoyable at least for 6hrs (winter time, cold sunny days)

Invictus DNA?! Omg get your nose checked! XD There's like ONE note they share. People really need to stop comparing every single sweet fragrances to Invictus. It makes you sound like idiot!

I think this is my favorite stronger with you fragrance .. its for spring and fall .. got me compliments so many times ..quite strong performance for what it is

A very good fresh opening, followed by good sweet n fresh dry down. However far dry down is somewhat off putting for me. Still it's a good one.
