Emporio Armani Stronger With You Only

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this one 'in terms of the scent alone' is my favourite from the SWY line, i just wish it lasted longer on my skin. The EDT is fantastic and a very close second, but the SWY Only adds a freshness that imo was desperately needed in this DNA. SWY Freeze was a shit show, and didn't even smell like it was from the same line. I own Intensely and that is as sweet as i go. I do wear it now and again, but the sweetness is turned up to the nines with that one 'i don't reach for it very often'. As for SWY absolutely, totally unwearable imo. The sweetness in that one is off the richter scale! And that thing chocked me out with how dense it was.. so sweet i think it gave me a cavity!! SWY Leather was OK at best 'i got minimal leather' and that was a big let down for me as I'm big into my leather fragrances. SWY Oud was average, I knew adding Oud to such a sweet DNA wouldn't do it for me. The only one i haven't tried and that i might like is SWY Amber, so I will look to get a sample. I will update here when i do manage to get my nose on it. My top 3 from the line. 1= SWY Only 8.5/10 2= SWY EDT 8/10 3 = SWY Intensely 7/10.

This works out to be great for me for someone who lives where summers are 40C and cooler months are around 30C. this is a great great option if you want that SWY DNA and to be able to use it during the summer days it projects really well for the first few hours, it does not fill up the room by any chance but anyone coming close to you , def will be very pleased. sometimes that is better. subtle but striking! it reaches the mid notes quicker than i would like but that's not a very bad thing, the opening is the best part of it, very uplifting and great for summer days. And you can enjoy over spraying this one! you don't have to only do 2 sprays you can do about 6 or 8 sprays. it does last nearly full day on the clothes. i would give it 8/10 actually, would i have wanted that it lasted longer ? yes but I already have a SWY intensely for my cooler months where i want the fragrance to last a little longer. I could never wear SWY intensely when going out in the summer with 40C and now i can ! So am i please!? hell yeah! love it.

Smells different than freeze, people are so so quick to flippantly compare fragrances sometimes. It has its own nuances. Freeze is more fruity, citrus.. This is more vanilla and chestnut like the original. It's a really good release and performs well, I personally love it... But I think the whole line is great. Only takes the original DNA and makes it more all year round wearable, it's not as heavy as OG, intensely, absolute etc... It's more airy, vanilla, fresh... Really nice. SWY is easily one of the best lines today.

This perfume is a rare exception! Everything is very well balanced. There is nothing rude about it! It's fresh, citrusy and sweet, but it doesn't tingle your face with brutal bergamots, lemons and vetivers like other brands. I had despaired of the combination (lemon, bergamot, vetiver) that is present in almost every summer fragrance... but this one turned out to be a treasure! A very simple, subtle and well put together perfume! 10/10

As someone who doesn't enjoy minty fresh men perfumes, this one is a sent from heaven. The vanilla is really comforting and it is depicts the note in such a masculine way yet it is smooth and soft. If this fragrance formed a scenery, it would be a comforting wooden fire in a winter night. I can spot the grapefruit only at first as a refreshing whiff so it is not overwhelming. I was a man this would be probably my all-time favourite.

For me honestly this is top 5 in the SWY line, never had the chance to try Freeze, so this is the “fresher” SWY in my eyes and i absolutely love it. At the opening it gives off a gingerbread-like scent which doesnt last long, but i absolutely love it. At the drydown its nice woody/chestnut with a little bit of that spice remaining. Wouldnt recomment it in the summer heat but beside that, its an all rounder for me!

Stronger with you only is a very slept on frangrance in the stronger with you line maybe because it is overshadowed by intensly, absolutely and the original but everytime i wear this i get asked by my friends what it is im wearing because it is so good so if you are looking to stand out i would 100% recomend this as it projects a lot and smell sooooo gooood

Smells like a lighter version of the original, but with a sparkling grapefruit note in the opening. At first I disliked the grapefruit, but came to like short after. Performance is decent. If you have the original it's redundant to own this one. Slept on and not the worse in the line imo.

Perfect for those who appreciate the DNA of SWY but find it too sweet. This might be due to the hot climate in your country, even though you enjoy winter fragrances. It could be a suitable alternative for your preferences.

Light and fresh, with a vanilla note from the original DNA. This is something I'll reapply a few times a day. It's good on its own; just don't compare it to the other flankers.

This SWY is great for people who like winter scents but live in warm climates

Never smelled the other flankers except for SWY Absolutely and just bought a bottle of this Smell - Mainly nutty chestnut and a fairly mellow vanilla, not the typical vanilla smell you get in fragrances. And I couldn't really smell the grapefruit that much but it's there just faintly and the grapefruit kinda just makes this smell like a fresher version of SWY absolutely. So the grapefruit freshens the fragrance up giving it more balance but the grapefruit isn't like a noticeable note you could just pick out if you didn't know it was in there. There's fragrances like D&G light blue forever that definitely smell like grapefruit and you can pick it out easily, but not with Stronger With You Only it's just enough to freshen it up and add balance. Overall this smells delicious, it's so good and it's a safer and better balanced version of stronger with you absolutely...but not better than absolutely. I think absolutely has better performance and the smell is richer with a stronger vanilla and chestnut smell in absolutely. And I love vanilla so I wish the vanilla was stronger in here...but SWY Only is still definitely a great scent. I will have to try some other flankers from the line so I can compare with others like freeze to see if it's similar This is worthy of an 8/10 because yes this just smells so good and afterall it is well balanced which gets bonus points because when a fragrance is too sweet then some people don't like it cloying sweet. Having balance of freshness does matter and this is done very well here, but nothing like any of the allure homme sport line. Tip - layer this with allure homme sport to give it a nutty smell, works amazing!

Many people thought Stronger with you Only was replacing Stronger with you Freeze as a warmer weather option, but this is completely different to Stronger With You Freeze. The only similarity is that they are both suitable for all year round depending on the climate where you live in. Here in the sub-tropics it's an all year round fragrance, both day and night, except the high heat during summer days. Freeze is suitable all year round, except the coldest days and nights in winter. The first time I tested this on skin I could smell lots of cinnamon, but not so much the 2nd time I tested it. Only is the same as the original but not as strong and not as sweet. I don't think you need both, personally I have Freeze, the citrus is delicious on top of the SWY DNA, and I'd prefer the original with the extra sweetness for cooler weather. Hopefully they release another Freeze sort of flanker in the future. EDIT: So I sprayed Acqua Di Gio Absolu yesterday and WOW it's amazing! To my nose and on my skin, ADG Absolu is a blend of the original ADG and Stronger With You, so it's got that aquatic watery vibe from ADG, plus a weaker, less sweet Stronger With You vibe. Absolu is discontinued and I wondered if they would bring out something similar in their newer refillable bottles, but given Stronger with you Only is a weaker, less sweet version of SWY, I figure this fragrance is taking the place of ADG Absolu.... I'll take ADG Absolu over SWYO any day.

I blind bought this expecting an all-year version of the intensely version and I think this is exactly what it is. If I can be honest, I really don't love the citrus and spice combo in the opening and mid section and it really kind of puts me away from using the cologne but when I tell you that the dry down is heavenly, I mean it. After like 30 minutes of that annoying opening, the chestnut and vanilla combo is genuinely stunnning. I can't stop sniffing my wrist. I haven't got many compliments wearing it but I think it is because I haven't worn it out enough. While I do think this can be worn all year, I think you should save this for more special days/events. It lasts about 8 hours with about 3 hours of good sillage. I think it is blind buy safe as long as you know the opening kind of smells like one million which isn't one of my favorites but the dry down is where the real gem of the scent is.

Very sweet, but not as sweet as the rest of the line, but the DNA is clearly there. It is lighter chestnut sweet stuff with some citrus freshness and lavander aroma. I do like it and it s very good and more wearable than the other flankers, which are bombs. At this point I don't remember the regular SWY, I need to compare it to that one. As far as Freeze goes, this is way better and it smells masculine, Freeze was a feminine scent in the dry down and a flop, this is not it, this is a good flanker. I have the Intensely, which I still consider the best one, but if I was to buy a new one I would rather go for this one than Absolutely, because it makes more sense to me. I will not buy it, but can't not recomend it, it is a good scent. For spring and fall and winter, it is too dense for summer, even if it is lighter it is still too dense.

For what it is SWY Only is a very nice scent, it's like a more simplified/streamlined version of the original with a brighter opening a la SWY Freeze. Only is also smoother than either of those two and doesn't have that Amberwood/ambrox vibe. However it's to my nose not as interesting as either and not as nice a scent nor as 'strong' as the original, which for me remains the best and most versatile in the line. I'm not really sure what Armani was aiming for with this one (possibly a more office/work-friendly version?) unless it really is to replace Freeze, in which case it's not a bad release, just a little unexciting perhaps.

This is not a fresh scent and it's not trying to be either...people complained about intensely and absolutely being too sweet so the whole point of this was to lighten the fragrance slightly and make it less cloying. There is no freshness in this, but it's just "lighter" or maybe you would say less intense, less sweet, less strong. It still an improve from what I can see because balance matters, here the focus is on balance to bring you a better balanced fragrance that sacrifice some performance for better balance. With that said it just smells the same as them all really, but weaker

this smells like a toned down rabanne's million gold with a hint of nutty smells inside of it. its quite fresh/citrusy at start and quite really a safe fragrance. its light and can be worn on summer and winter. But summer being it fit. if you want something crank up buy million gold instead but if you want something to be soft, gentle and not as offensive, buy this. i kind of like the freshness in this. Unlike million gold, this one freshness is much more invigorating. And unlike this, million gold is potent stuff. It just reminds me of it.

I see many people hating on this one and I genuinely cannot understand why. This is my favorite in the line after Absolutely and the Original. It is very similar to the original, but lighter and airier with a piercing grapefruit opening. Mixing citruses with sweet, vanilla chestnut creates a light but many and sweet fragrance that can be used for anywhere, anytime. It is a very good fragrance guys, try it out. Would pick this 10 times over Tobacco, Amber and Oud versions.

This in my opinion is more of a casual everyday wear stronger with you, it has less of the sweetness but is fresher. Was my first fragrance, and also a blind buy. It has decent projection in the spring and fall, Its decent in the summer too but doesn't really stand out in the cold. Lasts around 5 hours until its really only smelled on the skin. So really if you want a swy fragrance but dont want to stand out too much, I would get this.

basically a citrusy and less dense version of the original while maintaining all of the aspects that the original has to offer. performs decent on my skin like it lasts for 7-12 hours with moderate projection til the last moment. it is meant for those who enjoy the dna while living in warmer climates. i find it a little bit sweeter than le male le parfum tho idk why

Stronger with you Only is all about fresh vanilla with lavender and chestnut. Very slept on fragrance , i wear this to school and smell more unique than the JPG meat riders and Dior sauvage warriors. I like the OG SWY a lot but this one better because this is just more fresh version of that. Lovely scent the performance could still be better on my skin. (3,5/5)

Yeah, for me that's a bit of milking the line. It's like the original, but made less thick, sweet, a bit more wearable and suitable for the 'inbetween' seasons like spring and early autumn. It's good, but it seems to me like someone took the idea being the line and made it less of that. It's like owning a Stronger with You, but not as much.

I smelled it at the fragrance store. Its really great. Very fresh, not as heavy on the nose. I think for someone who doesn't like fragrances too much but wants to smell nice and fresh (for winter) its perfect. I give it 4* great as a gift since its often overlooked by the (slightly) better SWY's (Absolutely, Intensely)

Yes, finally some uplifting freshness added to the deep dark candy that is this line. This is much more balanced like a frag should be. If i would buy a ”Stronger” it would be this one. Then again, the freshness seems all in the citrus. Already waning after 5 minutes. It reminds me of Code Absolu, which is a top frag.

What’s with the early Stronger flanker that always smell like the OG with some minor tweak? Might as well say Stronger 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023. This is very tame to me, the best of line is Stronger Absolutely. Stronger is not meant to be a fresh scent, trying to please everyone becomes neither here nor there.

This is arguably the finest fragrance in the SWY collection, exhibiting exceptional longevity and satisfactory projection. The initial citrus notes are prominent but transition smoothly to a heart of lavender, vanilla, and chestnut. It is an excellent choice for autumn and winter. 8/10

A subtle, wonderful smelling perfume. Stronger With You Only holds a special place in my heart as the first perfume I ever bought but I genuinely think this is one of the best smelling perfumes out there. It dies however lack a lot in performance

Although it is not a very interesting and very different scent, it is a perfume that every man can love, especially as a gift or as a blind purchase. It doesn't disappoint, but it doesn't promise a very different experience either.

My first ever fragrance, it is a decent underground scent , very mass appealing with limited performance. A great subtle everyday fragrance. It is pretty much blind buy safe as a cheaper and weaker version of the swy line

It’s an cucumber with sweetness fragrance for me (in a good way). Fresh with little bit sweet. Its a good fragrance for school or work(for me). Last 4-6 hours with small projection. Over all 7,5/10

Super light version of the original. Freeze is actually heavier. I wore 20 spays and was not offending anyone, soft projection, longevity is good. I like it for spring and summer. Nice!

I think they should've kept the rum like with absolutely but put it in this fragrance, but this looks amazing seems exactly what i'm looking for i'll have to test this and review it

I like it. Fresh take on the original. A lot lighter and fresher, but still has that depth. Very well blended. I do get most of the notes listed. Very pleasant and mass appealing.

To be honest, I like this the best out of all the SWY. It is sweet but balances freshness, while the other are quite cloying.

SWY Freeze redundancy... Not worth the pick up if you own Freeze.

#687 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this sprayette from FragranceNet for $4.89. It's marked as "Free Sample-Not for Sale", but FragranceNet sells it. They have sample sprayette's others don't offer, but their full bottle fragrances are always the higher priced among the on-line retailers. FragranceX is the same and I'm suspicious it's the same folks running both sites since both are Windows 95 quality websites with identical color schemes and layouts and prices and offerings are almost always identical. But every now and then they have something I want at a reasonable price, like sprayette samples, so I check them out from time to time, which is how I ran across this not really free "free sample." It's impossible for me to evaluate this scent except in light of my previous experience with this line which were all EDPs with more potency overall both in longevity and sillage, which of course we expect of EDPs as opposed to EDTs like this one. So if you come to this fresh with no previous experience with the line I will not be surprised if you're more impressed with it than I am. So let's set aside the potency for the moment and focus on the scent itself. Let's get the "reminds me of" section out of the way. This is in no wise similar to Valentino's Yellow Dream, Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb, Laura Biagiotti's Passione Roma. Does share notes like geranium and lavender with Azzaro Wanted Cologne, Tous Man Spritz, but a thousand fragrances have those two notes and this is otherwise not at all the same. The Freeze flanker, also an EDT, was released two years before this, and it's more interesting, more complex and a slightly better performer (though still an EDT I wouldn't pay $75+ for). Conversely, if you started with the Freeze flanker and made it less complex, less interesting and poorer performing, it would probably smell like this. This was a flanker released in 2022 IMO just to release another flanker, and they needn't have bothered since it adds absolutely nothing unique to the line and really doesn't fit in with it at all. Every EDP in the Stronger with You line is a nice fragrance. They're all attractive, all good performers, and while they share 70% or more of the same DNA, different enough to merit owning each. You can't go wrong with any of them, so I would not settle for this or Freeze unless you just find the EDPs too sweet and overpowering. In which case this may be your jam as it's certainly not going to overpower anyone, or be noticed by anyone by mid-day.

They have this in superdrug in the uk,, tried it wed 19th. Jan,, Emmmm it's ok!!! 😬 Not the best though,, Bright kind of stinging grapefruit opening, that fades in about 20/40 minutes and ur left with a similar dry down to freeze,, It's a closer style to freeze & Performs similar to freeze as well if that helps!🤷♂️ Actually reminds me a little of the gio absolu dry down as well,, passing similarities maybe,, The darker absolutely and intensely just seem to suit this dna far better,, It appears freeze has had the chop from the line up,, & I'd imagine this may have the same fate in a couple of years time!! I'll skip this & wait for the next darker version!!!

Absolutely boring fragrance. Neither the wheel was reinvented nor new standards were set. I understand, Armani wants to milk the cow as long as possible but no one, really no one, has ever asked for this fragrance. Only intensely and freeze stand out clearly. With a little imagination also Leather. But the rest? Absolutely unnecessary.

it's good, but nothing breathtaking. i do still appreciate the swy dna, and like how this can be just thrown on and you'd smell fine. ehhh you could get similar and still better at the same price point. pretty mature scent. lasts about 3 - 6 hours projects normally 5/10

This is just a boring release imo. It starts very fresh and citrusy. Afterwards you get hints of the chestnut and vanilla but it is very soft. Everything that is special about the original is toned down and I would not suggest to buy this.

Just reviewed this on my Youtube channel Dan talks scents uk 🇬🇧. It's good a beautiful zesty opening but quickly drys down to a moderate version of the original stronger with you after 20 mins. This is a replacement for Stronger With you freeze but I think that one is better than this. This just left me wanted to put the original on because the dna is soo damn good but this just doesn't project enough for my liking.

Personally, I don't understand this. Why water down SWY? Maybe for REALLY HUMID/HOT summer nights, but that's all I can see it for. Not that the original SWY DNA is super great, but this just underwhelms. A lot. If you hate fragrances and want to not smell like BO for a few hours at a serious event, try this. Otherwise ignore this. Not worth it.

one stronger with you with an initial citrus addition that evaporates after a few minutes making it a normal swy. at least in freeze the citrus fruits always accompanied it but in this case no. they wanted to do marketing by doing a spring swy with poor results. also lowered performance. 4/10

Who thought that vanilla and citrus is a good combination?? Come on guys with this flanker thing. It reminds me the failed sequels of a successful movie. Adding or replacing a note and we have a brand new perfume (not)

Bland, weaker brother of SWY Freeze (without ginger ofc). I'm disappointed.

What I don’t understand is how people can recommend or not recommend a fragrance that isn’t even in the general public’s hands yet. Doesn’t that defeat the entire reason why we are here? Honestly, we shouldn’t be swaying anyones decision to buy or not buy a fragrance based on our own personal thoughts and opinions on a designer / niche fragrance house. Am I wrong? Please say so. I’d love to hear your thoughts. And just to add one thing, let’s spread more love!
