Emporio Armani Stronger With You Oud

I initially wrote this in SWY Leather because Oud wasn't yet listed so copying from there: I've recently gotten into fragrances and have been acquiring quite a few samples of popular colognes. My favorite of the SWY's so far is Absolutely. Where Absolutely is rum forward initially, Oud I immediately get leather. (Can't comment on SWY Leather as I don't have it but would be interesting to compare it to Oud). This SWY Oud is pretty similar to/ but a weaker version of Tom Ford's Ombre Leather Parfum at first sniff. But the leather from SWY Oud soon dissipated after 20-30 minutes (altho seems to last longer with 5-6 sprays) and then I just got the drydown similar to the other SWY's and Azzaro's The Most Wanted, but maybe a little less gourmand sweet and more lavender which is actually quite pleasant. Personally, I still prefer Absolutely out of the SWY line up. If you really want the initial leather scent and something that will last longer, get Tom Ford. You could also layer with any of the SWY's or The Most Wanted. But that can get quite pricey. For me, I'll stick with Absolutely until the next flanker comes along. Would have been neat if they tried something a bit less mass appealing like layering Encre Noire (much more woody/ earthy) or Bentley for Men Intense (more boozy) with the SWY drydown. Surprised there's no mention of leather in any of the accords or fragrance notes. Don't get any woody scent at all. Just straight leather. 🤔 Only place I've been able to sporadically find this in the US is fragrancebuy ca Update: I tried this again with the remaining amount of the 2ml decant I got. This time I sprayed about 5 sprays - one on each wrist, two on chest, one on neck. Previous time I only did two sprays. Now for some reason, the leather opening lasted much longer - a couple hours. And then transformed into a warm lavender bomb. Minimal of the sweet SWY dna found with all the others - more in line with the scent accords above. Really digging it this time; I'd get whiffs of the lavender throughout the day...one of my fav floral scents - but still in a masculine kinda way. Really strange how the nose works. Maybe because I let it sit a few weeks before trying again?? Think I'll need to get another 3-5ml decant of this. Great stuff.

Work out. Hot shower. Doused myself in SWY Oud and immediately questioned if I made the right fragrance choice for the evening. It was sweet, and nutty, and interesting. Nose close to the skin it smelled organic, whole grain, nutty, oats? Designer style oud I guess. Now I’m committed, so I layered up and took the dog outside for a walk in 50° Northwest springtime weather at the park. Sun setting. 9pm. And that’s when the magic happened. As it gently rolled out of the top of my jacket around me it smelled amazing. Slightly sweet. Slightly nutty. Slightly oud-y. Slightly vanilla-y. Along with the crisp, cool air it was perfect. All the green leaves on the trees, yet this scent evokes darker shades of brown/black/gold. This scent matches the color of its bottle exactly. Light oud fragrance. Nice contrast to all my other strong-arm ouds. Non-offensive. Decent projection. Kind of gourmandy without the overt sweetness which I appreciate. Very nice addition for a cool, relaxing evening.

Stronger with you DNA with some woods. If you have one fragrance from this line, you pretty much have them all (especially on the drydown). If one of my friends wore a different Stronger with you flanker on different days/weeks I would have trouble telling most them apart if I didn't have them side by side to compare, and thats coming from someone that owns and loves 4 of them (Leather, Oud, Amber, Tobacco, and I'm currently looking for Sandalwood too) These middles eastern SWY exclusives that have a new note in their names are pretty much what you would expect. SWY Amber? Stronger with you DNA with more amber SWY Tobacco? Stronger with you DNA with tobacco Get it..? This doesn't just apply for the ME releases, this is what they do for the entire line. Every new Stronger With You release is a slightly tweaked version of the DNA with a new note. With that being said though, I love this DNA and I will continue feeding into my consumerism by buying every new middle eastern release.

First off, this is a great fragrance! It’s well made, classy scent, great-looking bottle and performs incredibly well. That being said, if you have any other Stronger With You (SWY) lines, as well as any other Oud fragrances (less animalic and fecal ones), this fragrance becomes redundant. It starts off with very soft Oud and lavender, and dries down linearly to vanilla and Oud. These combinations sweeten and soften the Oud to the point that it basically isn’t there and is very pleasant to wear. Performance 10 hours on skin, projection is good and sillage is too. I don’t have any SWY lines but I prefer Absolutely over this purely because I already have a wide variety of Oud fragrances (from soft-sweet to skanky-animalic) so this feels pointless in my collection. Dunno if I’m going mad, but this is reminiscent of Bvlgari Man Black Orient to my nose. Blind-buy safe. Recommend: BUY Rating: 4.5/5

I've been wearing this when I can for the last couple of weeks and I'm hooked. Originally got a 50ml and now a 100ml backup. I'm a fan of Intensely and Absolutely but this was a whole new level. The open is deeeeep, rich and rivals the more opulent niche openings. The oud has a VERY slight medicinal touch but that disappears very quickly and the oud gets sweet and spicy. The chestnut and the sweet boozy note come up thru that opening and it just melts together into a fragrance blend that's really amazing. As the oud sits back a bit the familiar SWY base comes up to carry the fragrance thru the drydown. A genuine 9.5/10 and a strong buy recommend. Projection, sillage and longevity are ALL well above average to very long lasting. This has no shortfalls aside from the fact that it's a flanker. It's a flanker that has exceeded to original IMHO.

This fragrance is creamy & sweet with enough spice & wood to balance it all out into a superb fall/winter fragrance. I mostly get vanilla, roasted chestnuts, woody oud, & a hint of fall spice. Disclaimer: the oud note in this fragrance is very mild & smooth. Almost leathery. Not the animalic or funky type. I don't consider this a bad thing though. This makes it a safer option for western use. But if you go into it expecting a more complex oud scent, you may be disappointed. The performance of this one for me was great all around. Lasted around 6 hours & projected well without suffocating anyone around me. Then settled to a pleasant softer skin scent for about 4-6 hours. If you're already a fan of anything in the Stronger With You line, I recommend you try this one out aswell.

I know unicorns are real because I have one named Armani Stronger With You Oud Lovers of scented air here is the thing with this one: On paper/clothes it smells almost exactly like The One Luminous Night (weaker Initio Side Effect), minus the opening which has Oud in it On skin it smells almost exactly like Stronger With You Absolutely, minus the opening which has Oud in it Yes, the Oud is there at the start but it's gone in 30-60 minutes, can't say that about my sex life So with this one, it all depends where you spray it, skin or clothes or as a mosquito spray The disappointing thing is that in the air it just smells like any other Stronger With You fragrance, but up close is where it shines like my bold head 10/10 frag but you don't need to run after this one

This smells so unique to me. I don't feel like the note breakdown is doing justice describing this fragrance. SWY Oud feels so much more complex, in the opening I get the slightest feel of leather, which then slowly and beautifully transitions into incense - neither of which are notes that show up in the note breakdown. The sweetness really tones down the oud and makes it a lot more wearable to me. This is by no means a freshie, this is still a very heavy scent, it projects well and lasts a while. If you're looking for a fragrance dosed with oud, this isn't it. However if you're looking for a fragrance that takes a new direction in terms of oud in perfumery - this is most definitely it.

Emporio Armani's Stronger With You Oud is a very sensual and alluring fragrance. It promotes a wonderful creamy oud that smells delectable. The vanilla is smooth and projects well, and the oud that supports the body of the fragrance is beautiful and resinous. The lavendar note adds that floral touch that completes the fragrance. It's very well done, and very wearable all things considered. Classy, sophisticated, with great projection. Although Oud is somewhat of a departure from the original DNA, I would say that it is the most intriguing of the four Middle Eastern exclusives, and in my opinion, one of the best designer Oud's on the market. Well worth picking up!

So first off the batch code # is 38UD01F = Got this on Amazon they got it from Store of the World took 9 Days to get. Anyways this smells simply devine omg !!! Smells nothing like the rest of the line this is in a class of its own this is very masculine and mature and sexy so glad I bought a 3.4oz bottle I am in love ❤️ with this fragrance if you find this do not wait buy yes it is blind buy worthy if you do not buy well you messed up because this is awesome and worth every penny I spent $129 very very nicely done.

As many of us know, Luminous Night is a super hard frag to get these days without paying an arm and a leg for... I smell the direct comparisons to that frag without question. This may be a great alternative that is obtainable if you like that profile... which I do. Without question you get the SWY base profile as well... The oud comes across more like leather to me, which I don't mind...

Strong leather, and oud smell when first sprayed. When the scent dies down it smells like every other "SWY" line, especially SWY Intensely. I say use this only, and only on special occasions. It is very classy, I mean even the bottle itself is classy. VERY MASCULINE SMELL TOO!!! Def wear it if you want to fish for some compliments or just stand out from the rest of the guys/gals.

Stronger With You Oud is a banger and a must have if you're collecting the SWY series. 🔥🥇💯 SWYO closest comparisons are SWYL and The One Luminous Nights due to the way the spice & sweet notes are blended along with the scent quality. Therefore, SWYO may be a redundant and/or senseless buy for some. 😛 I got my 100ML bottle for a good price...so no regrets here! 😋🤣 Overall: 10/10

This opens up much more leathery than I was expecting. Not a leather dominant scent but it's certainly there. The lavender and vanilla together is nice and sets itself apart from the other SWT scents I have tried. It's classy. It's sweet but not syrupy sweet like SWT Intensely. It's mass appealing, blind buy worthy if you like these notes.

It’s a top 3 SWY. I would say Amber and Absolutely is in the list as well, but this might be the best. One of the best beginner ouds. Not raw oud, but who cares. It’s a soft, cozy, non-animalic and warm and cozy kind of an oud accord, mixed with the sweet, nutty, toffee SWY-dna. It lasts, it projects and it’s pretty cheap. A solid one!

For me, I like the idea of swy oud. This is because they took the DNA of the original swy and made it sophisticated with the obvious oud note with lavender, I can understand how this fragrance could be loveable to others and me, it's just that the oud does not last as long as the Swy intensely or absolutely version but 8/10 I like it.

Good good stuff. Not as attractive as the other SWY but this is (as bottle shows) darker, more of a man's scent, meaning maybe women aren't SUPER attracted to it, but it can be intoxicating. 4 sprays max, good strength. Oud is not the standout note, more leather vanilla, with sandalwood, oud HINT

I have it and I got it for like roughly $60 and I love it , I love how creamy it is especially in its dry down but all I can smell most of the time is a heavy heavy dose of cardamom, I can't smell any leather or lavender etc but a heavy dose of cardamom is very prevalent

I have this one and absolutely. Cannot pick a favorite, they are both BANGERS. My first oud scent and it def opened my eyes to try new stuff in the fragrance world. It smells nutty, woody, all with an airy designer background. It’s light, airy, dark, and gorgeous.

My second stronger with you line that I purchased. Not the best in my opinion, but still smells great. The oud is toned down a bit by the sweet scents. For the named, it's not oud-focus frags. But still delivers like the rest of the SWY lines

This is a mature version of SWY-I. Black tie evening for the more mature male. Oud accord with a hint of leather provides gravitas and mystery. Ideal for 30-40 yr males for special occasions. Shukran Habibi!

Imo this is more leather than oud. It's really good and I love it. Definitely more leathery than oud. Something amber, woody, and spicey in this fragrance too. My favorite in the Stronger line.

An amazing addition to the YOU line, Masculine and STRONG oud smell. not great for closed spaces, and may be a turn-off for sum, may cause headache. If you like oud it is a more modest take.

This stuff definitely has solid dose of oud in it, I don't know what kind of oud it is but it will randomly hit you with a nuclear blast hours in just when you least expect it. Very nice

I'm not so familiar with other SWY variants but this definitely gets the job done for me. I don't have many words, one of the best in my collection.

Agar, leatherish and cola is what I get in the opening and I love it. Dries down more vanilla with a slight spice oud undertone.

The best swy with oud and lavender at the beginning

The Middle Eastern exclusive oud flanker for the Stronger With You line. How does it stack up to its siblings? Read on to find out. Scent: Opening is sweet and woody. There's only three notes in the official breakdown, and I can easily pick them all out. The strongest are the oud and vanilla, lavender stays in the background. I also get tinges of leather in there somewhere, even though it's not listed. This scent is very linear, so the dry down is pretty much the same. The only difference is that the oud starts to outweigh the other notes a little. The oud in this fragrance is a bit different than what I'm used to with other ouds. It's less woody and more "bitter" is the best way I can describe it. It doesn't smell bad, necessarily; just different. Performance: Initial projection is strong at around 6 feet. Sillage is strong as well with an easily noticeable scent trail. After a few hours the projection was about 12 inches and there was still a slight scent trail. Altogether it lasted about 8-10 hours on my skin. When to wear: This is a fall/winter scent that is suitable for day or night time wear. With this being an oud scent, I wouldn't recommend it for office or date night use. This is more of a "wear it for yourself" fragrance. Some people will think it's great, but not everyone will share that sentiment. Blind buy: This is not a safe blind buy. Even if you like oud fragrances, still give this one a test before committing just because of how the oud is a little different in this one. Final verdict: Personally; I really enjoy the scent, even if the oud is a little different. I do wish the performance was a little better though. For a SWY with oud in it, I was expecting it to last as long as Intensely or Absolutely, and it just couldn't keep up. I wouldn't say this is for everyone, even if you're a fan of the SWY line. I'm glad to have it because I'm a collector and I love the SWY line; but the average fragrance wearer can probably pass on this one. There's better entries in the SWY line, and there's better oud scents you can get. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 7/10

Stronger With You Oud is a woody, fruity and sweet fragrance. Its opening is woody and fresh, with an almost leathery dry wood accompanied by a floral lavender and slightly spicy aroma. Minutes later, the characteristic fruity-spicy accord of the Stronger With You (SWY) line is presented, which continues to remind me of a fruit punch with cinnamon. The difference in this version is that the woody oud/leather accord balances the aroma. In terms of sweetness, although it is still sweet, but now in a slightly more contained way. A couple of hours later the aroma is perceived as a combination of vanilla, spicy fruits and leather, bringing back some memories at this stage of Bottled Oud and another bit of 1 Million Prive. Despite reducing and balancing the sweetness in this fragrance, it is still a fragrance that does not offer much versatility, since it still seems to me to be a fragrance exclusively for cold weather, and special occasions, parties or nights out with a certain elegance or casually, but I don't see it for daily use, office work, or school. Its longevity exceeds 8 hours, although its aromatic sillage is intermittent, because sometimes I perceive the aroma very well and at other times it seems that it stays close to the skin. Of the entire line, this is the one I liked the most along with the first SWY, although I confess that I have not tried the Leather or Amber versions.

#568 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is a nice mild oud scent with vanilla and lavender. Tons of scents in this category out there. This is one of the simpler formulas and very likeable. Khamrah, Le Male Le Parfum and Elixir, Oud 24hrs Majestic Gold, Lattafa Al Areeq Gold, Lattafa Opulent Oud, Replica Jazz Club and By the Fireplace, Spicebomb Extreme, 1861 Naxos. Some have tobacco, some oud, some both. But if you just want a simple oud and vanilla made creamier with lavender, you can't go wrong with this. It's not overpowering or cloying so I think you can do this in the office if you like, if you go easy. Certainly a very nice date night scent, especially in cooler weather. Good longevity and sillage. One of the better flankers in this line, and they're all pretty good. I think it's a safe blind buy.

Initially this fragrance opens at least to my nose extremely oudy and leathery. Good thing it’s not a barnyard oud but it’s not for a beginners nose either to where they would potentially not like the oud aspect of it. To me I think the opening to this oud is almost comparable to Swiss Arabian nights Shaghaf oud but not as beastly or exactly like it. Now give it about an hour and a half to two hours and that’s where this fragrance develops into a semi sweet leathery oudish vanilla bomb! As the fragrance continues to dry down I do get a tinge of the original SWY dna with the chestnuts in the background. For one of the three notes listed I don’t get any lavender at all. I wouldn’t say this is quite a safe blind buy for beginners so definitely sample it before buying. 7.5/10

Was tried it on a decant, it has similarities of Issey Miyake Noir Ambre that I own(180$) , like 60% but this one is like nerfed version of Noir Ambre, less bold , less deepness , less scent quality so makes it more wearable to newbie noses. But TBH it's still worth to buy,because I won't let my precious Issey Miyake Noir Ambre being use to often (Discontinued). It's like if you have Aventus but you need CDNIM for daily use as backup. But I'm still very in love with Noir Ambre and still irreplaceable even with 200-300$ fragrances with Oud styles on market right now. I rarely wear winter fragz because I lived in Humid Hot Summer place, I just can wear this on attending a Suit Tie event in full AC building.

This is a lovely smell. However, I believe that SWY Intensely is the best (in terms of smell). The difference with SWY Oud is that it has a lot more woodiness. It becomes spicy and woody later in the dry down and the sweetness dials down a lot in comparison to SWY Intensely/Absolutely. Also, the performance is powerful. This will push for hours. 5-6 hours from the initial spray, I am still getting whiffs of this, so performance should not be a problem. This is pretty good, but not for me.

Here you will find something INTENSELY wearable. I mean ABSOLUTELY zero skankiness. This will not induce pearl clutching amongst old ladies. Just remember, if a genuine oud fragrance is the ONLY thing you’re looking for, then you should FREEZE before you pull the trigger on this. So at the end of the day, it’s the same SWY dna you already know and love, oh, and with a bit of spicy LEATHER too. All Stronger With You Puns aside, this iteration might be the best in the line.

This is very much in the same vein as Noir Ambre by Issey Miyake. If you are getting this solely for the oud profile, you may be somewhat disappointed. This fragrance is a much more sweet/leathery scent than oud. You definitely get oud but not like you'd expect from a fragrance with "oud" in the name. I get leather, vanilla, saffron, then oud in that order. Still a fantastic scent, but this is much closer to Noir Ambre to me (which I already own, so kind of redundant).

This is good. The oud is there but it’s not a strong skanky oud. I’d say it’s an oud for beginners. Which is why I like it because I’m new to oud. I do have boss bottled oud and I did not like that at all. The oud in that reminded me of an old man. Now you kinda get the same thing in SWYO but it’s blended better and the sweetness of that SWY DNA makes it very pleasant. I’m excited to rock this when it gets cold. I can tell performance is going to be great to.

That's probably the best of this line. Opens up a tad spicy sweet with a hint of oud and lots of Safron. Despite that Safron is not a listed note here, but it's definitely there. This would have been much better if this Safron is toned down or doesn't exist. I'm sure there is Safron here. The longevity is very good, with good sillage also. The dry down is Too much leathery and a bit of vanilla. Another solid release of this line. Wish it had more Oud though.

Very strong syntheticy smell at first spray, then quickly dries down to a powdery, floral-like scent which is the oud coming through, with hints of vanilla. It is a masculine and sexy scent. Smelling it now, it kind of smells like pure havane on the dry down. It is a strong smelling fragrance that will project like a beast and lasts long, about 6-8 hours. Recommended for nights out as it smells like a going out scent.

I just bought it and I love it. Its a nice vanilla, woody and oud fragrance. Idk if its just me but I can't smell the lavender that much in it. The performance is good and so is the longevity. Smells mostly how you think it would except for the oud inside, it smells pretty strong and mysterious. Projection - 7.5/10 Longevity - 8.5/10 Sillage - 8/10

Smells like SWY with leather added, I can't detect oud unless that leather is supposed to mimic oud. Smells nice, but pretty disappointing as a sweet oud lover. Also, this doesn't smell remotely close to Lune Feline at all lmao, the remind me section is tweaking. Smells a bit like a more wearable YSL Babycat...

If you're an oud lover, you might be a disappointed with. Personal it's not an overwhelming scent. The lavender does tame the oud in there. It opens with a fresh floral scent, leaving a gourmand feel after. Might be a good option if you want to dabble into more exotic scent.

Very unique vanilla-oud smell. First you can smell a splash of vanilla ice cream before it gets mixed with its woody smell. Varying from other oud perfumes. The 3 notes work very well together. It has mild projection and good sillage. The longevity is good too.

He is nothing like his SWY counterparts, I don't know why they were voted the closest to him. It's not a bad fragrance, it's not the strong sweetness of Instens or Absolut. A little more smoky. Remind me of the Riflesso Blue Vibe Trussardi !
