Emporio Armani Stronger With You Spices

This is a mainstream designer fragrance copying middle eastern perfume.....and it's been done very, very well. Without a doubt, you can smell that Stronger With You DNA running right through this.....It’s unmistakable. But here, it’s been refined. The hazelnut note is softer, deeper, and warmer, giving it a smoother, more rounded feel than the other flankers. It delivers that rich, dark warmth you’d normally associate with higher-end houses like Amouage, yet it stays incredibly smooth and wearable. There’s a polished quality to it that makes it feel far more expensive than it likely will be.....assuming it ever gets a wider release and doesn’t stay locked behind “special edition” status. Compared to the Oud, Leather, and Amber versions, the differences aren’t dramatic. They all sit in a similar space, but this is easily the standout for me. It just feels more complete. What sets it apart, is how easy it is to wear. It’s completely office-friendly. No harsh alcohol blast, no jagged edges, nothing that suddenly jumps out and overwhelms. Just a steady, warm, confident scent. Think of it as a Middle Eastern-inspired designer fragrance done right. Second full wearing and it lasted a good 8 hours. First 2 it was pushing out quite well and then it still remained around for the last 6 hours and left a nice trail behind...nothing overblown but I could still smell it. Is it ground-breaking? No. Is it going to suddenly reinvent the genre? Also no. But will it quietly become a favourite and probably double in price the second it gets discontinued? Almost certainly.

First impression on first wearing: Nothing like Powerfully, or any of the USA flankers. Not even close. I don't think too many people actually tried this one, or they wouldn't be choosing those. No real resemblance to Absolutely, Intensely, etc. The base DNA is there, and that's it. People are going to come here and bash them saying that they are cash grabs, and those folks have probably no real experience with them other than seeing a youtube video. This is, if anything, closest to Stronger with You Leather, with the leather toned way down, and spices added. Thus the name, I guess. The only other thing that this resembles, from my own experience, is D&G The One Luminous Night, but with less dates and more spices, the sweetness toned down a lot. There is very little sweetness here compared to the regular line. I guess after having this on for a few hours, I am mostly getting a hybrid of Luminous Night and SWY Leather. It has been dosed up with spices, and the core DNA is lurking way down deep underneath. Cinnamon and black pepper dominate. It is actually a really nice drydown. Performance is very good, on par with the parfum. Not as good as the Sandalwood flanker (best one they've done). I like the fact that they have cut the sweetness level, but I think If you own the Leather flanker, you *may* find this redundant. I'm a collector, so I don't care either way. Just relaying to the community what I am experiencing from it.

Absolutely stunning, very in keeping with intensely and powerfully but has a darker, more Middle Eastern vibe which is beautiful. Yes l, there is similarities, it’s a flanker after all, but it is unique enough to stand out. If you like the DNA and want to expand it, this is a no brainer.

This is my last SWY... I purchased Spices and Powerfully for my SWY collection. Both are really good fragrances but they also disappointed me. 'Powerfully' just didn't bring the cherry and 'Spices' barely moves the needle because it also settles down much closer to the DNA. As it pertains to 'Spices', the Mandarin notes that open up in the beginning of the composition is fantastic and that leads to you believe that the profile is going into a citrus spice direction. As soon as you get into the mid, amber and mild spice take over and the familiar SWY DNA takes shape and doesn't leave any room for anything else. (Very similar to how the Cherry note in Powerfully disappears). These are my last SWY purchases... I cannot keep buying relatively the same bottle over and over again.

This is the most middle Eastern of the SWYs I've tried, which is everything but tobacco. I'm surprised they released this right after parfum because they have similarities. This one is more dry and nutty but with pepper and i can detect a little clove which isn't my favorite note. I would still rate sandalwood, parfum, and absolutely over this. I can see this doing well in other countries with the peppery chestnut vibe. Edit: it dries nicely and smoothly. It eventually gets a slight resemblance of Swy Sandalwood in there, probably from the chestnut leveling off and slight leather. Still ranking it somewhere below the other 3 mentioned

My sister has her internship at selfridges and managed to smuggle a few samples out for me. It has the unmistaken stronger with you DNA but with a more pronounced sweetness. Not mindblowing . Pepper comes through nicely, can’t smell the other spices that much. As always, good performance and sillage. Not the most exciting release, but might be fun to pick up for a good price. Went up to my grandmother to have her smell it and she slapped my hand away with a scowling expression, telling me to stop obsessing over perfumes and that I remind her more of a granddaughter

I see noone is comparing this to SWY Sandalwood? Maybe because not too many people have tried it. To me in the opening it smells almost exactly like Sandalwood, with a bit less focus on the Saffron, with a bit of SWY Parfum lavander mixed in. After a bit, the Saffron gets weaker. Overall if you prefer the Saffron and spices notes go for SWY Sandalwood, this one is a bit of a dissapointment, in the drydown it smells exactly like any other SWY. It doesn't smell bad, but nothing special, was excited to try it and now im a bit dissapointed.

Now available in Polish Sephora! I gave it a try, it's a more spicy SWY. Slightly less sweet than the original and definitely more balanced than Intensely. Very nice, but not a love. I don't truly love any SWY, not fully my kind of line, but this is a strong contender for my fav out of them all. If it's still available by the time I have money for it (or discounters start to stock it), I'll get it just because. Would be fun for winter wear.

First wear on arm after letting it get to room temp after sitting in -10 degree weather, I get leather spicy vanilla. It's ok and I like it fine, yet not groundbreaking. I'll try it again in a bit.

So I tried this exclusive release today and I’ve very mixed feelings about this release. It starts off with a sweet slightly leathery cinnamon, saffron, pepper smell(to my nose, the official notes don’t have leather and cinnamon)mixed with the usual chestnut and tonka. Then it dries down to the usual chestnut tonka vanilla combo. Now my disappointment with this release is 2 fold- 1) It’s doesn’t project whatsoever, it projects initially for 15-20mins then sits very close to the skin. Now maybe it’s a sample thing. 2) It’s not exciting or different enough from other SWY flankers. It starts off very promising with the leathery spices and pepper but in 20-25mins it’s the same OG SWY chestnut and vanilla dna with a slight lingering pepper note😪

Best way to describe it: SWY Pefun + Little bit of spice, (keeping that sickly sweet syrupy vanilla from Intensely). It does risk it and goes more into the spicy notes like SWY Tobacco ( Much better in my opinion). For me, this falls flat as it doesn't go all the way on the spice, while the dates and amber are barely noticeable due to the aggressive vanilla, and the spices are bland. If you love the SWY line and their signature vanila this is gonna be it for you, if you're looking for something interesting with some more character to wear, forget about this release.

Incredibly disappointing. I was eagerly awaiting to get my hands on this one, I would've really liked a more spiced and date style flanker, but this is none of that. There's nothing interesting or different here, nothing discernable. At least the sandalwood had a very noticable saffron opening.

Still have the sweetness and dna of swy but the spicy note ruins it in my experience. I like spicy fragrances, but I didn't like it in swy.

Today, I received this from Fragrance Buy, which was my last package of Armani perfume. I own their entire stronger with you line, and this one is exactly like the others, particularly intensely. How can a big company release a new bottle without making any significant changes or improvements? It seems like their sole motive is to make a quick profit. If you already own any of their perfumes, I highly recommend against buying this one. I’m not saying that this cologne is bad, it’s just that there’s no noticeable improvement.

What are the spices in SWY Spices? To me it smells like saffron accord, the kind that different perfumes either brand as oud or as leather or actually as saffron. It's dark, warm, "black piano" kind of spiciness. Smells refined and grown-up. This spicy base is layer on top of the classic SWY DNA but with the sweetness dialed way down. I think this is the least sweet SWY from what I've tried (and I've tried most including the limited releases). I appreciate this toned down sweetness lets you smell the slightly sour facet of amberwood which is usually hidden. However it's still a sweet scent, suitable for cold weather or evening wear, especially with the added saffron. The development of this fragnrace is simple, over time there are less spices and more SWY DNA. Overall I like this release as it is and definitely much more the SWY Powerfully, which was kind of a letdown for me. But Spices still has the same issue as every SWY flanker has had for years, and that is they are just all too similar. SWY Spices is a bit less same than usual, but if you have pretty much any other SWY fragrance, you don't need this.

Dont be fooled by "spice" , the pepper and other spices in the pyramid arent popping enough to earn this label. On the contrary it is still so sweet like "intensley" , the notes are so inticing and bring a full mix of winter comfort food (cinammon , clover , chestnut and dates) with summery delights of (apricot, bergamot and lavender) .. all merged so beautifully in a soft airy "stronger with you intensley is the closest flanker to this" , as a lady i think this is an nice winter pick for me as well , so i'd say its a unisex , if you were expecting ultra musculin scent given that its a spicy flanker then im sorry its not .. If you truely want a spicy "stronger with you" then please give Drunk Lovers-BORNTOSTANDOUT® a try , that what the "spice" marketing fits actually , especially at its dry down

I agree with Marantz that this new flanker is closer to SWY Sandalwood or with Felixthreeone that it's closer to SWY Leather, rather than Parfum or any of the others. Although sandalwood is not listed as an accord, this does have that dry, yet slightly sweet woody trail. An opening emphasis on black pepper, saffron and cinnamon leads to a wonderful lavender, chestnut, vanilla and amber/leather base. To my nose this is the least sweet of the whole SWY lineup. Wearing this brings to mind a feeling of a dry, dusty, spicy and slightly sweet desert breeze at sunset. Oh, and the bottle is absolutely stunning! An excellent choice for this Winter.

I, personally, have not smelled this fragrance. However, at this point, I simply cannot purchase another flanker: of Stronger With You, or any other line. I will reward a designer (or niche perfume house) with a new DNA, a new inspiration and a new bottle with my money. It's beyond rediculous. (For those that are into flankers, you do you. I respect it. I just believe it's lazy at this stage.)

I tried this last week & it was just like the rest nothing special... the whole SWY line is the same smell except for santal & leather it’s quite special.. but the rest you have to be an expert to tell what’s the difference !! .. skip ⏭️

Hoping for something a bit different and probably gonna end up like the OG all over again.. milking the line to the fullest.. Sick of promising pyramids and a great underdelivery. Do better.

That apricot and saffron combo is intriguing... PLUS pepper PLUS vanilla PLUS lavender?? There are so many ways I could possibly love this. My only worry is the date note might be too heavy.

I just bought this, and the drydown is absolutely incredible. But this is only because my skin responds extremely well to cinnamon.
