Emporio Armani Stronger With You Tobacco

Today we're looking at the newest (at least in the USA) flanker in Emporio Armani's Stronger With You line; Stronger With You Tobacco. Now I own almost all of the fragrances in the line, just missing a few. It is a very solid fragrance line and probably deserves more hype than it gets. Up until now, SWY Intensely has been my favorite of the line. Will SWY Tobacco take the crown? Let's get into it and find out; Scent: The opening is warm, smoky, and spicy. The primary notes I get are tobacco, pepper, cinnamon leaf, and chestnut. The strongest of the notes are the tobacco and cinnamon leaf. Right off the rip the tobacco hits my nose. It's warm, slightly sweet, and carries with it an intense photo-realistic smokiness reminiscent of burning pipe or hookah tobacco. Upon smelling it I was immediately reminded of the tobacco note in one of my favorite fragrances; Parfums De Marly's Herod, sans its mysterious cherry note. Right underneath is the cinnamon leaf building on the warmth of the tobacco but adding the sharp and distinct spiciness that only cinnamon can offer. Up next is the chestnut and pepper notes. The chestnut is the calling card of the Stronger With You line, and SWY Tobacco is no exception. The chestnut confers a warm, nutty, slightly sweet tone that compliments the cinnamon leaf very well. Lastly, the pepper notes, both black and pink, offer a bit of fresh spiciness on the backend that serves to add a bit of contrast to the warmth of the opening and tickle the nose. I also get whiffs of a piney, citrusy accord from the elemi, but it's fleeting. The dry down is sweet, smoky, and warm. The primary notes I get are tobacco, bourbon vanilla, chestnut, and cinnamon leaf. The strongest of the notes are the bourbon vanilla and tobacco. The tobacco still has the same warm and intensely smoky accord from the opening. Meanwhile, the bourbon vanilla has emerged in the dry down to provide a solid punch of sweetness with a touch of booziness on the back end. This is followed by the chestnut and cinnamon leaf. The chestnut still carries the same signature warm, nutty tone from the opening, no changes there. Lastly, the cinnamon leaf is still present in the dry down with the same warm spiciness, but much more mellowed out than it was in the opening. Performance: Initial projection in the first hour is very strong and can easily fill a room. Sillage matches this energy with a dense and heavy scent trail. After a few hours the projection and sillage were unchanged. At the 7-8 hour mark the projection was still 4-6 feet and the scent trail was still noticeable. The fragrance lasted at least 12 hours before becoming a skin scent. When to wear: Stronger With You Tobacco is a fall/winter fragrance best suited for evening wear. This is a fragrance that best fits formal or special occasions. Date nights, anniversaries, or anything you would wear a suit and tie to. Blind buy: I wouldn't recommend this as a blind buy to someone simply because they love the SWY line. Yes it does have the strong connections to the line through the chestnut and vanilla, but the intense smokiness from the tobacco is a stark contrast and will only appeal to people that really enjoy tobacco. However, if you like sweet tobacco fragrances like Herod or even Initio Parfum's Narcotic Delight, this would be a safe blind buy. Final verdict: Stronger With You Tobacco was an instant hit for me. I love tobacco, especially smoky, photo-realistic tobacco that smells like a burning pipe or hookah. That's what this fragrance has. It's warm, sweet, alluring, mature, buttoned-up; everything a man could want from a fragrance in this category. The performance, in typical SWY fashion, is potent; atomic level projection and sillage for at least the first 3 hours, and continuing on in some capacity for at least 12 hours until dissipating. Like the rest of the SWY line, versatility is not what this fragrance is made for. It works well for special or formal occasions in the cooler months, but that's about all you'll get from it. When it comes to mass-appeal, typically the SWY line is pretty well known for that. However, the addition of the strong tobacco note in this fragrance makes it less so than it's brothers. A lot of people will still think you smell great, but some will have trouble with the smokiness from it. The bottom line; SWY Tobacco is a win for me. There's really nothing critical I can think of about this fragrance, it just fires on all cylinders for me. I will definitely be getting a bottle of this when I can, and I would recommend any tobacco lovers out there to give this one a try. Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10 Sillage: 10/10

This is probably tied formy favorite of the limited edition flankers. I love the Sandalwood flanker as well. I like all of them, but this one is very, very good. To be honest, I've always been a bit of a sucker for this warm, ambery SWY DNA. When I first smelled this line, I thought 'this is too sweet'. And maybe some of the others are, but the leather, sandalwood, oud, and Amber are all dialed back enough that the excess isn't a factor anymore. Even the Parfum, which I am a recent fan of, has enough of the sweetness dialed back but it retains the density and character I like from this line. I find that Tobacco (despite what some reviewers say here) outdoes many offerings that exist in the same space. Niche OR designer. Is there tobacco here? Of course! Does it compete with other tobacco fragrance out there today? Also, yes. But this is fragrance land, folks. There are hundreds of tobacco fragrances, and there are also hundreds of people that each have differing tastes. @JusttheFactsMan says it lacks longevity? WHAT?? This stuff lasts on me until I wash it off. Granted, it only projects for two or three hours but it lasts an easy 10+. The only review here that contains enough detail and context on this fragrance comes to us from @TheDogfatherHTX, who provides a concise assessment of this fragrance that mirrors my personal experience. As usual, order a decant. Always sample. Unless the fragrance is inexpensive, which this one is not. But it has skyrocketed into my top 25 without much effort.

Without exageration, my favourite fregrance to ever be made that ive ever had the pleasure of smelling, it fills a small room and it says on skin for the entire day, spray it in the morning and you dont even have to worry about cologne even in rain or scorching sun, the smell is amazeing, tough to me it gives unisex and not masculine, so if you're looking for something manly it might not be the call, also it gives off a smell akin to rubbing alcohol for the first dozen seconds when you spray it, not sure why but it tames quick so it's not that big of a deal but it still bothers me that it doesn't have a nice opening. Its such a shame fragrence companies will launch such great things just to make them limited edition... in about less than a years time, if you want one you want one you're gonna have to go on ebay and buy at an extreme chargeup with the gamble that it might not even be the real deal... such a shame Armani would make such a masterpiece, but only one batch. The feel of exclusivity is not worth the price of countless never getting to experience it, and those who did will not be able to get more of it. From the lens of both buisness and reputation it is downright idiotic. I think thats the best way i can put it, and i truly hope that one day designers will stop makeing so much stuff limited.

Alright, let’s be real. My nose is basically a tobacco expert, so when I say this isn't quite the tobacco hit I was expecting, trust me. It's more peppery and spicy than smoky and rich. The tobacco? Kinda meh nothing special. But the burnt chestnut and vanilla? Now that is pretty awesome. You can definitely tell it’s got that SWY vibe to it. If you already have any of the flankers, you’re not missing out here. Is it overpriced? Yeah, kinda. But I get it, it’s discontinued and hard to find, so I get why it’s a bit pricey. In the future, it might be a little treasure for your collection. Do I regret buying it? Nah, not really. I just want to stack up on tobacco scents. Was it what I expected? Eh, sorta, but I was hoping for something with more punch. This is more like a tobacco training wheels situation for me. It feels... incomplete. Scent: 7.5/10 (Could have been a 10/10 masterpiece, if only that tobacco had more of a voice instead of peppers.) Longevity: 8.5/10 Sillage: 8.5/10 Overall: 8/10

When i think of a smooth tobacco smell. STW tobbaco comes to mind. This is the only tobbaco frag I want, The peppers,amber and woods make this a brilliant masculine scent. On paper instantly gives you floral and sweet however let it sit for a few hours it gives you a strong and masculine tobacco (first time i smelt it i was quite shocked how the smells change after it sits) The way i would describe this frag is You wake up from a nice nap after school and you go to make some food then your dad calls you outside as your having a family gathering, you walk outside and you smell your lovely trees and flowers nearby, your uncle who is smoking greets you all these things combine to make in my opinion the best STW out there. This fragrance is excellent something i will pick up later down the line. i think its very old school however and should only be worn if you are over 16 as something that becomes so masculine in a matter of hours can ruin a school frag vibe

This scent smells good. Great even. Says it's for men but that's BS. Several scents that it is compared to are all unisex so...it smells like a bunch of unisex scents then it IS unisex. Not one note is singularly for one gender. This does smell like red tobacco and it does smell like Herod. Because it is redundant to own them all.....i own them all cause yes! Tobacco warmth and mmmmmmm good. Winter and fall, cool days any day..heckmaybe a few light sprays at night even in summer cause yes. Sillage is not huge so because I am a fan of layering and I want people to read these reviews and chart a path to smelling like the gods.......Dominican Tobacco by al qurashi...lasts and projects and boosts the MESS out of this scent so get it, set it and spray liberally my friends.... OMG 😲 This smells awesome 👏 the Stronger with You Line just gets better and better hats off to Emporio Armani. A few in the line I did not care for Freeze,Stronger With You Only and Amber but with that aside this is a banger. Could not wait to get my hands on this exclusive edition release .The smell is complex and sophisticated you can smell the tobacco coming through sweet and nicely...does not smell anything like swy oud or swy leather or any of the spicebombs this is in a league of its own. Blind buy worthy and definitely back up bottle worthy before the criminals on the open market get their hands on it and crank the price up. I bought SWYT from Fragrancebuy.ca for $119 and paid $134 total because of shipping from Canada 🇨🇦 to the USA 🇺🇸 got in 7 days. 10/10 for me and my humble opinion ★★★★★★★★★★♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎

This is a beautiful scent that doesn't stray too far from the Stronger With You DNA. As a huge fan of the SWY line, I found this quite delightful! I'd describe this to someone who hasn't smellt it like this; imagine the familiar hazelnut warmth of the original DNA paired with a spicy pepper kick. A slight cherry twang is noticeable in the opening, fading quickly over minutes to a chilli-peppery scent, then finally going back to that classic SWY smell. The only downside is that I don't get much tobacco from this scent as I had hoped for. It's definitely in there, more noticeable after a few hours, however it's definitely overshadowed by the spice. Lasted me a strong 8 hours! This is my second favourite Stronger With You and will 100% be going into my Winter rotation, I'd give it a high 9/10!

The tobacco note in this fragrance is detectable right from the start, contrary to what some YouTubers claim. This is a decidedly masculine cologne, best avoided in outdoor settings during hot summer days. However, it is suitable for most other times and occasions. This perfume is on the cusp of being classified as a niche fragrance, thanks to its distinctive tobacco scent, which sets it apart from its sibling flankers. The sillage is impressive, projecting 2-3 meters within the first hour before gradually diminishing to around 1 meter after five hours. Remarkably, you can still detect its presence on your skin even after 24 hours, my review was based on 2 weeks trial then i came up with a decision to buy a second bottle as i believe this cologne shall be discontinued :)))))

I fell in love with this fragrance the moment I first smelled it. It’s absolutely stunning for a woman’s nose! I couldn’t resist and ordered one for myself because the urge to experience its scent forever is irresistible. As a fragrance enthusiast with a vast collection, I can confidently say this one truly makes my day! It surpasses Mancera Red Tobacco and Dolce & Gabbana The One in its beauty. It’s a masterpiece—soft, sexy tobacco perfectly blended with amber and a nutty vanilla warmth. I wouldn’t classify it as exclusively masculine because I adore it so much. In fact, a male friend even called me the "fragrance queen" when he smelled it on me. Words can’t fully capture how incredible this is, so if you’re hesitating to buy it—don’t! You won’t regret it.

Picked this up, and was sort of on the fence about it, because there were some reviews that it was rather redundant... Previously, my favorite flanker was SWY Oud, and I am not counting SWY Absolutely, as I consider it as part of the original line. Upon getting this, this is by FAR my favorite SWY frag, and it isn't even a close race for me. People seem to say that this has massive projection, which I do not find at all. Because it's not really loud, I tend to think that this could be worn in Fall/Winter/Spring, as it won't become cloying in early spring. This is not a dominate tobacco scent, but it is there, but it is just gorgeous in every sense of the word. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐(10/10)

As some of you know, it looks like SWY Leather & Oud are being discontinued, as they were only Exclusive editions... They are getting really hard to find online... which makes this the next that will likely be discontinued. SWY Tobacco is so good, I got a backup bottle coming. I tend to like all three, but I'm not wild on the Amber, but Leather and Oud seem to share many similarities, that I cannot justify a backup bottle of either. I've heard that Amber is on it's way out as well, but I think you can still find it online pretty easily at this point. If you like Oud, Leather, or Tobacco, you should get yourself a backup bottle before prices skyrocket.

Been testing it for the last week and this simply put is a masterpiece if, like me, your favorite note is tobacco. Also, if you love SWY Intensely and ever thought "wow, the only thing that could make this even better is if it had tobacco" then this is a must have. Some people are saying it is a unique departure, and that's true but it still very much has the SWY dna in it. Insane sillage and beastly performance on me, real head turner too. I genuinely hope this is wrote off as bad so that people who love it can gatekeep it.

This is the least sweet of the lineup (I haven't tried the oud version yet). Besides the Leather flanker, I pretty much hate the entire lineup for being too sweet, and I believe that men should not smell like a dessert. This strikes a good balance and I feel like this could be signature scent for a BOSS man. Definitely a dress-up scent, perfect for the office in fall. Leather is still my favorite one but I sense that Tobacco is much more versatile. Recommended highly at discounted prices only

This is just gorgeous! I don't understand the comments about the heavy tobacco drydown. There is no drydown here because it disappears too soon. 😅 But the first 20-30 minutes (the only ones when I can detect it) are amazing. And yes, people say this is a tobacco scent, an amber scent etc. No, this is A SWEET scent. Very sweet. The name SWY "Tobacco" is not precise, I'd even say that it's misleading. This is a pure winter sweet scent. And a delicious one!

This is a bold fragrance. You need confidence to embody its vibe and truly pull it off. Overall, it’s an excellent fragrance—one of my favorites. It performs impressively, projecting for 5 hours and lasting up to 12 hours on the skin with no issues. The sillage is also fantastic—you can easily fill a room with just 6 sprays. I recommend 3 sprays if you’re indoors, and 6 for outdoor settings. If you like spicy strong fragrances you should try this one.

my decant arrived today and to me it smells magnificent and I find it awfully similar to Armani Code ultimate femme, which was my ex's perfume and it kinda reminds me of her so I don't know If I even want to wear it myself. But definitely beautiful scent and worth a try imo Tobacco only shows itself in the way to drydown and it's there but it gets masked by vanilla and cardamon so don't expect a huge tobacco blast.

This is one of my favourite scents in my entire collection. To me, it smells like a sweet tobacco syrup. performance is of course fantastic. It is one of the best tabac fragrances I have tried, but as I said, it is very syrupy. Definitely not a mild dry tabacco. If you love tabac smell, then youd like this smell, but if not definitely do not blind buy. For me this is something I wear very often in the winter.

my favorite fragrance from the SWY line, and probably my top3 favorite fragrances ever, i have over 250 fragrances and nothing smells like this one, it’s very special and i love it, i’ve been using it for 2 years now but unfortunately i can’t buy it easily, i really wish EA didn’t discontinue it, that’s my only downside of this masterpiece of a fragrance

Just got this and this is the best thing I’ve ever smelt.Don’t expect to smell like a smoker or something,the tobacco note was well blended and this kinda reminds me of Versace eros flame but much more grown up,it also reminds me of my D&G the one.This is strong and lasts all day I would give this a 9/10

i reviewed this fragrance a few months ago. after wearing it around it is certainly a compliment getter and projects and lasts long. If you want a more "tobaccoy" twist of swy without it making you smell like a smoker by this it isnt overpowered by tobacco note. im addicted to it.

Banging And Extremely rare fragrance to get right now as it isn’t even available yet unless your in the UAE. I somehow got lucky and got my hands on a sample and it’s amazing. I hate the fragrance trolls who put this down despite never even trying it, good for winter and autumn

Has it been discontinued? In Europe it has disappeared from stores in my area. This is the only one from the SWY line that I love. Very cozy winter or home scent. Smooth and pleasant. not as overly sweet as other SWYs. It's my favorite evening home scent in the winter.

I think it’s one of the most sexiest fragrance in the market. It has spiciness from pink and black pepper but it has sweetness from vanilla and chestnut. It is also has a rich vibe from amber. It is spicy, sweet and elegant tobacco scent.

My personal favorite perfume from Giorgio Armani .. hands down ... extremely beautiful scent profile for my nose ... 10/10 masterpiece for me... LONGEVITY, projection and Sillage is phenomenal ... few sprays enough ...VERY SEXY ...

My favourite stronger with you! reminds me of shisha mixed with nutella mixed with maple syrup in the best way possible! to me it's the most balanced and innovates the most in the line. Performance is also through the roof!

Amazing, best from the line. Kind of exceeded my expectations, don't really care about this line but this is incredible. I get a lot of Initio Side Effect in this, which is a 10/10 scent in itself. Try this out, it's great.

It lasts a long time and has a pleasant scent, however, it is somewhat hard to find and relatively expensive at €180 for 100ml, though it is still just barely justifiable for the Armani brand. Wouldn't pay any more really.

I didn't like the smell of it at the start, ya"ll need to wait like 1-2 hours just to understand the true smell of it, then it becomes very masculine and very unique, don't review it right away, let it sit for awhile.

Very lovely scent strong and less sweet than the intensely more spicy haven't tested it enough yet because its not appropriate for the summertime but so far i like it a lot however i like the leather version more

I love this fregrence sooo much, but i feel like im way too young to wear it, u need to be at least 35 to not smell wired. It smells like dry plum at opening and drydown is tobaco with honey and pepper, love it.

@davidkui It’s a matter of subjectivity. More people like it than people that don’t. As it happens, I love the stuff. Not as good as SWY Leather or Absolutely, but it’s fantastic juice. Subjective, I know.

atomiser 10/10 its great on skin for me preforms amazing lasts long and projects only use 2-4 sprays cant wear in enclosed areas and you cant spray it too much as it can give a headache

I recently got this online without testing it. I found the SWY tobacco quite similar to Hugo Boss scent elixir. Other than that, it has good longevity and smells great.

The best flanker from this exclusive line! Well-balanced between moist, spicy pipe tobacco & the distinctive sweet, hazy, nutty Vanilla of Stronger With You Absolutely.

This smells really nice... everything you want from the SWY DNA blended with a nice tobacco note on the edges. 100 times better than SWY Amber.
