Indigo Tanzanite

Opening: Amber and patchouli. The amber at this point is very similar to the opening of MFK Grand Soir; while the patchouli is earthy, similar to that in Coromandel EDT, it's that chocolatey patchouli, I had to go back to look at the notes to check for chocolate or cocoa-- none. The ratio of patchouli to amber is about 60:40. On my skin it is patchouli dominant. Almond starts to peek though about the 25 minute mark. But the fagrance is still predominantly patchouli-heavy amber. 1 hour in and the patchouli finally calms down. The fragrance doesn't evolve much on my skin. It stays a patchouli amber with a bit of nutty almond till the dry down. If you love amber and patchouli, this fragrance is answered prayers; if you absolutely hate patchouli or amber, this fragrance may not be for you. It's unisex leaning slightly more masculine. Solid performance. Overall, I prefer this to Magenta Tanzanite for now since I feel it has more character, I plan to give that one another shot as well.

Received this one as a gift from my parents - they are feeding my obsession! Opens very sharp and masculine, which took me aback for a second, but I had the same exact experience with Ambre Eccentrico, so I knew better and waited for it to calm down, and...boom! Loving it! Refined combo, there are layers to it, from a sharp masculine patchouli it goes into milky almonds and settles into a balsamic sweetish amber. It definitely resembles Ambre Eccentrico, but it has a sharper edge, leaning slightly more masculine, yet still unisex. It’s dark and confident, there’s no shyness to it. It shines! I’m very curious how it behaves in hotter conditions as it’s pretty cold right now. I will layer it with a sweet amber perfumed oil, just because I would like a tad more sweetness to it. Projection is good and lasting power is hours - I could still smell it when I woke up in the morning. Love the bottle, a great addition to my Armani Privé collection.

I’m surprised there was no cashmere or Vanila/tonka bean in the description. Either way, this is a beautiful fragrance. Great for winter nights and special occasions. The Pachouli Feels both rich a cozy, it’s mixed with a cocooning milky almond, some sweet creamy and almost powdery accords. It still manages to have a bit of freshness behind the smooth curtains of its ambery notes. this hits all my yearnings of what I want to smell like especially this time of the year. 10/10 Side note: It’s been a while since I bought an Armani/Privé fragrance. They don’t always get it right. But when they do, you know it’s a keeper. A couple of my favorite Armani/Privé fragrances are: -Vert Malachite (for jasmine lovers) -Bois D’Encens (for spice and incense enthusiasts)

1st impression is a love at first sniff. There are hints of Ambre Eccentrico but AE is more syrupy and chewy fruity. There’s also hints of my favorite Guerlain: Bois D’Armenie- I smell tons of sweet benzoin and a honeyed wood note! I am loving the lack of earthiness- this just hums on my skin. It’s warm, lactonic, powdery. I’m getting the same oat like creaminess that i absolutely love in PDM Oajan. Indigo Tanzanite is masterfully blended and the 1 spray on my wrist is wafting in the air creating a comfy scent bubble. This smells nothing like Kilian Rolling in Love or Grand Soir not sure that’s up with those comparisons. This is a very elegant creamy sweet woody fragrance. I’m in love! So happy I bought a FB

For me, this is somewhere between Tobacco Vanille and Dior Addict without any fruity notes. *[Edit] Or closer still; softer than Grand Soir and warmer than Cuir Beluga - somewhere in between the two.* Smells like the perfume and beauty floor of the most prestigious department store - all this in the most wonderful and luxurious way. Soft, sweet and comforting like a fluffy blanket and the creamiest spiced hot vanilla milk (I wanted to say chai or latte but there is no hint of coffee or cinnamon here) on a rainy day. I get the play-doh resemblance but in the most expensive, comforting and delectable way.

What a wonderfully elevated spicy almondy/lactonic perfume. Well balanced with great longevity, and excellent projection. Patchouli and bergamote are only noticeable for the first few minutes, when the drydown begins these notes blend amazingly with the rest to become a spicy creamy woody wonder. Unisex done just right, it doesn’t lean one way or the other, it simply smells amazing.

Stunning woodsy, sexy patchouli. It is the ‘warmest’ fragrance i have encountered. It just hugs you with a splendid warm, cosy veil that is guaranteed to attract compliments. From both guys and gals. It is spectacular and very potent, stays with you 8+ hours. Way too expensive but it is one of those scents that simply worth it.

The Patchouli really does smell great in this mixture, and I've gotten some great compliments, this is definitely my go to for this fall and winter, but I definitely feel this is more of a party fragrance!

Creamy bon bon with a twist. Very respectable and mon offensive perfume . I have to admit , I abuse my layering privileges sometimes . Layered it with cuir by Carner Barcelona and it was pure platinum .

That's a delicious fragrance. Milky, chocolatey, creamy. It's very soft in its approach, it's here to caress your senses. It wears surprisingly loud and lasts forever. Very great offering, love it !

One of the most underrated perfumes! The best in Armani prive. It is for winter indeed and it’s a unisex perfume.

I love heliotrope and patchouli&amber mix! My favorite from the line after Rouge Malachite. Good performance.

heavnly scent, tried at the store, too expensive

Simply beautiful, classy and elegant.

28. February 2022 I tried it both on paper strip and did a wear test in my skin and here are my thoughts: i liked it more on a paper, than on my skin. On paper is was so beautiful, deep and mysterious, it almost felt like it has a smokey dry plum note in it, but when i actually checked the notes i was surprised. The almond/milk/heliotrope mix is what i probably has mistaken for the plum note. On my skin the beautiful opening becomes almost instantly a dirty patchouli. The patchouli note is eating up all other notes on my skin and the scent itself becomes quite ordinary. No more mystery, sadly. 270eur for 100ml is not what i am ready to pay for a fragrance that is nothing extraordinary. Tested in cold northern European weather. P.S. I need to say it works better not in the cold. It started to smell better and softer, once i ́ve got home and my skin warmed up. I can clearly smell almonds and patchouli now. P.P.S. It has been several days and i must say that i am somehow hooked on this fragrance. It stays really long on my skin, even after being into shower i can still smell the traces of it and i still tend to bring my nose to that spot. Once again i am not a big fan of patchouli, yet something in here keeps me thinking about it. i love the drydown very much, it ́s a almond milky patchouli which smells magical. It can be very unisex, i just wish they would have a 50mls bottle, cause i do not see me using ever the full 100ml bottle of it. I received a sample and i will use it for now to see how i feel about it in the long perspective...

Indigo Tanzanite was love at first sniff. This is a unique oriental fragrance with dusty patchouli, labdanum, benzoin, almond and a lactonic milk accord. It's not going to appeal to everyone or mesh with everyone's skin chemistry, but for me, this is perfection. The Armani Prive line is known for their head-turning heavy hitters, and Indigo Tanzanite is no different. On first spray, the oriental accords are instantly present, however, they are softened by powdery almond, milk and heliotrope, lending an almost creamy aroma. Indigo Tanzanite is similar in style to Chanel's Coromandel and Ramon Monegal's Mon Patchouly, all being wonderful smooth, slightly sweetened patchouli fragrances. The resinous quality and depth of this fragrance does trick you into believing that tobacco is also featured in this scent composition, and I am not alone in this assumption. This fragrance was created as an ode to Africa, encapsulating the aroma of the Tanzanian plains at dusk. I find this woodsy, dusty and dense patchouli fragrance with its nutty almond milk drydown to be a beautiful interpretation of this geographical region. The Armani Prive line continues to grow on me, and once again, I am considering adding another luscious fragrance from their line to my collection. The projection and longevity are superb, well-worth the hefty price tag.

This seems really familiar. I spent some time testing and I think I've figured it out. Take Nishane Ani, mix it with Dior Privee Patchouli Imperial, and then add heliotrope and voila, Indigo Tanzanite! However, there are a couple key differences with my skin chemistry. The first 15 minutes smells like clay on my skin. After that I get a rich vanilla like Ani, but a little more dirty version. Then the ultra smooth patchouli comes out and mixes with the vanilla and takes it over. I'd say at this point, it's 70/30 patchouli to benzoin ratio. Overall a great fragrance that leans feminine on my skin. Performance is suprisingly good for an Armani Prive, which often don't seem last or project on me. This one lasts roughly 8-9 hours with several hours of great scent push. This would be great on a woman, or maybe a man with different skin chemistry than mine Scent 7.6/10 Performance 8.5/10

Opened up n my skin with a very light almond scent mixed with fizzy bergamot. After a while it turned into a very earthy patchouli which is not much to my liking. On clothing, it opened up very similar to the on skin sample except for a stronger almond scent. Then it got creamy after a short while before turning resinous. I can understand the semblance to Grand Soir some might get after getting to this point but it’s just a small vibe. Turned kinda boozy here. I like it a lot. But it was only like that for a short time. It all came down to the earthy patchouli dry down. Thank goodness the boozy resinous vibe I like turned up again on both the skin and clothing samples. Lasted well on clothing for over twelve hrs.

I love the creaminess of the Privé line; it smells expensive and well-crafted. Patchouli is such a polarizing note for me; I either like it a lot (White Patchouli from TM) or hate it (Coco Mademoiselle). Indigo Tanzanite is a patchouli-centered perfume that is extremely wearable. The almond and heliotrope are soft and powdery; the patchouli is earthy, but it turns sweeter and balsamic as it dries down. Somehow, I smell tobacco, which is not listed in the notes. I've always had reservations towards sweet tobacco, but it works in here. It turns masculine on my skin; sometimes I care, when it's raining, I don't.

A labdanum and patchouli that's been very softened down by heliotrope, milk and almonds. A very nice composition. Softly gourmand. I can see why some people compared it with Coromandel, as that sort of gourmand patchouli is here, although they are not entirely similar. Indigo Tanzanite is a softer fragrance, a more mellow one than Coromandel, it doesn't have any earthiness which is very prevalent in Coromandel. I get a feeling I've smelled this before, it might very well be similar to the mentioned Narcotico. Beautiful drydown. Very unisex.

Indigo Tanzanite is a highly underrated fragrance. It’s very unique, I haven’t quite smelt anything like it. Beautiful patchouli added richness of almond, benzoin & labdanum plus the milk note which provides a unique texture to the scent. It’s a little spicy which stops the sweeter notes taking over. It seems some women find it too masculine, for me it’s perfectly unisex. Definitely worth testing if the notes intrigue you.

Based on the sample of 2023 batch The opening minutes I get the ozonic oceanic driftwood. It is so realistic that sniffing it I get immediately the picture of me being on the sunny day at the ocean beach. It settles after 20-30 minutes to the lactonic and warm ambery/patchouli intimate scent. I love the opening, and strongly like the rest, but would be hesitant to pay the asking price. For me 10ml will be probably enough.

نفس رائحه عطر (ورد محروق) من إبراهيم القرشي نعم هذا اسم العطر بالفعل ومن الإصدارات القديمه لدى الدار واعتقد انه صدر قبل هذا العطر، العطر جميل ولكن لن يعجب اي احد يجب تجربته قلب الشراء وبعد حوالي من ١٠ الي ١٥ دقيقه يتحول الي نفس رائحه عطر (((ورد محروق))) وللمره الثانيه نعم العطر بهذا الاسم .😄😄

To me, this does in fact resemble Grand Soir. It is a tad bit fruitier and earthier, perhaps less sweet in comparison. The bottle is majestic, yet for the price it is hardly a justifiable purchase, especially when the alternative is just as high quality and over a 100 bucks less.

Creamy lactonic with soft wood and warm spices. Balsam and a darker softer patchouli. Slightly sweet and well blended. You can smell the individual components with slow inhales so it’s nice that all notes are “visible” Is it for everyone? Probably not but it did it’s job.

Creamy and lactonic with the smoothest patchouli base. Patchouli runs throughout, but it's a clean one with almondy milky touches. Reminds me of dried plums or cereal with milk and dried fruits. Great interpretation of patchouli. Unisex.

Very reminiscent of Borneo 1834, which has been discontinued. Beautiful, unisex Patchouli! Love!! :))

This is a banger for sure!, creamy milky spicy vanillic goodness

Just received a tester. Starts with a strong almond note, but kind of smells like it’s mixed with a dark vanilla even though it’s not in the notes. The initial opening is pleasant, but when the milk and heliotrope kick in it starts to smell a bit too nauseating to me. The resins in the base don’t help it either. I also get a faint of liquorice but it might also be the heliotrope. Don’t get me wrong, it smells very sophisticated and niche, but just isn’t for me. However you can smell that it’s a quality fragrance and both the longevity and sillage are very good. Overall: 7/10

This is my least favorite so far from this line. Milky and slightly sweet. Definitely get the almond and heliotrope combo. There is some note in here which gives a sort of play-doh scent. It is a nice blend but is a little "candy" sweet in the opening until it dries down a bit. Doesn't suit my skin chemistry too well but it is beautiful on paper, so someone whose skin doesn't turn sweet almondy scents into play-doh would be stunning with this.

Just received my bottle from Sephora UAE. It is like the almond version of Vert Malachite, whereby almond is the star of the perfume instead of tuberose. It gets more intense and spicier as it dries down. I'm happy that this blind buy was successful! :-)

The almonds and milk give this a creamy warmth, while balsam and benzoin add a little zinginess to the perfume. The patchouli is on the synthetic side and I get a sort of cashmere scent that hovers uninvited in the background. The sweetness comes across like plastic and chemicals. There is something about this that kind of smells like shaving foam, and after a while the scent becomes a little bit jarring. Not something I'd reach for personally.

It really is indigo and dark... Although the top notes are milky and creamy, I don't find it cozy or sweet. My impression of this perfume is mostly based on labdanum and patchouli. I sense earthy and leathern aroma, which is defined by vanilla hint. Doesn't seem to me warm, but it is definitely perfume which suits winter season. Enormous projection, long lasting.

Weird old lady smell. Ambery, patchouli (potpourri vibes) mixed with lactonic and powdery elements. After 30mins this smells like cigarettes and peppermint, gross. Sample before buying, I dont like it.

Cakey vanilla with a pronounced yet clean patchouli. Contrast between sweet and earthy not as effortless as seen in Chanel’s Coromandel

Tried this yesterday, liked the First two minutes of the fragrance. The longer it was on my skin the more i have disliked it. Combo of heliotrope, milk and maybe almonds was giving me very heavy, choking, dirty vanilla vibe, that i didnt liked at all. Needed to wash it of. It smells better in the air, than it does when you put your nose in it, it’s the only positive thing i could find with this one.

@Tincel - I’m with you here: I wish the masculine notes gone from this one. I love these notes on a man - Kilian White Crystal, Mugler Over the Musc, etc ...But I want to use this perfume too and enjoy it’s feminine side unobstructed. It’s not exactly unisex - it’s rather both - androgynous - equally masculine and feminine, which may create too soft and too sweet a feel on some men and turn masculine on almost all female skins. And it leaves me out from the pool that can successfully pull it off. In “unisex” perfumes I prefer it when they serve a male’s masculinity as much as they serve female’s femininity, by having their counterpart side subside and make the juice truly versatile. The other way seems more limiting to my way of using perfume. Until someone tweaks this divine stuff right, the closest I get to it by escaping the disappointing masculine grip, is by layering Merchant of Venice Patchouli & Zara Vanilla Violet Orchid. It’s not perfect by any means, but I love some specific undertones which are pertinent to a whole lot of the perfumes in the opulent Armani Prive formulas. So, I’m holding my breath for this one and will be drooling in the meanwhile.

Finally got a sample and I am so happy I did not blind-buy. I wanted this so bad mainly because of the bottle. This wears better on the skin if you are testing it. It’s not really that sweet or lactonic in my opinion until it settles. I do get more sweetness the more I wear. It’s dry amber like MFK Grand Soir but the latter is more cozy, sweet and more ambery. Indigo Tanzanite is mostly raw patchouli, that isn’t sharp I will say probably because of the milk blended in, and dry amber with leather and chalky woods. This mix is a little bland but simultaneously makes my stomach turn at random wears, not all the time. Like eating oatmeal, with no substantial toppings. The top and mid notes just aren’t distinctive enough to elevate the base, but they still compliment the base especially the almond accord. On top of that, the performance does not touch Grand Soir’s. It’s just not enough for the price and exclusivity. Like there’s no reason a Jo Malone (albeit the cologne intense) should be out-projecting this, therefore this is between a like and okay for me. I’ll give it a like, since I’m not stingy.

This would be a great scent for someone who loves patchouli & almonds first and foremost then amber, vanilla, spicy fragrances with a milky touch. I blind bought it knowing I’m not a huge fan of patchouli and I dislike nearly every almond scent I try and knowing that, it sounds sounds dumb for me to blind buy it when I say it outloud ha, but hear me out, I love amber and spicy frags so I took the plunge. Also there wasn’t any reviews when I purchased & I’m impatient and didn’t want to wait until the fall. Unfortunately for me, the almond and patchouli are too prominent. I was hoping for more amber. I liked the milky-ness but it just wasn't what I was hoping for. This isn’t to say the fragrance is bad, it’s definitely not, it’s just not for me but I know a lot of people will love this. Sold my bottle and I hope the woman who bought it loves it because it really is a well blended fragrance, it’s just not my style. The bottle was truly stunning in person, definitely a nice collectors piece.

I went to see a friend after getting a sample of this. When I left, she gave me a longer hug than usual: “wait, hold on, you smell *really* good.” I don't think I've ever received so many compliments while wearing a perfume. I'm surprised that reviews are so mixed because everyone I know loves this one! The milk and bergamot and florals make me smell like a London Fog. Sillage is very soft, but I don't mind because this works really well as a skin scent. It's cozy and creamy and I love smelling it on my clothes throughout the day. You definitely have to like patchouli to like this one as it's very strong in the opening, but it fades into the background quickly and I don't think it's overpowering. The price tag makes me cry but I know I'll be using this for a long long time, maybe even as a winter signature.

Tested this alongside material yesterday. This is super soft and subtle, ambery, and I get some incense too. But all in all it's quite a quiet, subtle scent. I like my ambers in your face and resinous, this is definitely more of a soft resinous gourmand that wafts quietly on your skin. It's still gorgeous, but I always feel that at this price point you want a one spray will blow your socks off kinda scent. Not particularly milky and I don't get any play doh aspects. Not like Grand soir to me, although if you're not super familiar with the nuances with resinous scents they may give off a similar vibe at first sniff...there's definitely a soft incense in this one.

Absolutely gorgeous! Definitely my style, mainly for autumn / winter wear with it's creamy patch and resinous notes. Amond not too play dohey but of course in this price range it won't be. I can't really feel the almond, but the heliotrope does give it a creamy powdery touch which is lovelly. Really nice perfume. tanzanite has one of the most original takes on patchouli for me - makeup-y, milky, warmed by resins and balanced with bergamot. what a gem! its a biscuity-warm, pastel-colored, comforting scent. this patchouli is mild and soft but nevertheless so complex, I can almost feel the smokey caramel and woody aspects of it, masterfully contrasted with powdery heliotropes. the longer you wear it the better it gets

INDIGO TANZANITE is a very nice fragrance. It is well blended and niche quality. For my taste, I wish it was sweeter. I would say it is similar to side effect by Initio, but not as sweet. I Think it is totally unisex. The bottle is divine. If you are a collector, this is a must. Stunning. I have a full bottle for sale. I purchased from Australia. Message me if interested.

It was 30% off and I pulled the triger, Thank God for the mini sample, It is a SEND-BACK ✔ and here is why : It is extremely refined, but not unique, And very mild on my skin, very intimate, I really had high hopes for it, The notes listed are up on my alley but all I got was a faint spicy patchouli something.... I really enjoy this. Nothing like Ambre Eccentrico. I have that one. This is warm, cozy light patchouli and lactonic notes. Slightly eoody. Very nice. I don’t get a lot of almond, but I do get heliotrope with some balsam. Smooth and elegant a full bottle is on its way to me. Yay!

Pleasant fragrance. Sweet but not sickening or candy-like. It’s soft and sensual, with a touch o smoke. It smells elegant and expensive. On my skin, it leans more masculine. I think it’s a good winter choice for a refined and soft-spoken gentleman.

I absolutely love it but the projection is the weakest of all the perfumes I have, I don't understand how ppl say it has great longetivity and projection! Mine is like Eau de cologne, my body mists smell stronger then this!
