My Way Ylang

Yummy, yum yum. If you're a sucker for mango/coconut tropical scents, you probably get seduced by this. It's bright, juicy and less synthetic and heavy, warm, resiny smelling than Rabanne Fame. Different enough from Flowerbomb Tiger Lily to justify having both if you're a tropical enthusiast - they're in the same family and for the same occasion (hot summer day-time), but Tiger Lily is more floral focused, a touch lighter & peppery, and stays tropical fruit forward for much longer. The coconut in this comes out way more in the dry-down but I don't agree with any of the sunscreen reviews - at least at first, it's more reminiscent of a tropical island fruity cocktail. When the top notes are gone (which sadly happens surprisingly quickly - like 30 mins to an hour), it ends up much more straight beachy coconut like Beach Walk and Virgin Island Water. The ylang sticks around for longer, but it's kind of overpowered by the tuberose and ylang is also present in BW & VIW anyway. Agree with the review below that wishes it didn't have tuberose. The tuberose isn't as aggressive here as in Soleil Blanc - I think the bergamot citrus helps keep My Way fresh-ish despite it... & at least the tuberose is a slight point of difference instead of including jasmine (which is fresher and frankly nicer), but would make this smell like everything else on the mass market atm. That being said, it's not a unique sent... but I'd still choose it over some of it's peers. Be sure to test it for a few hours before buying it if you already have Beach Walk, Virgin Island water, Coconut Fizz or Soleil Blanc (or don't like those frags), or you may feel mislead by the powerful but fleeting top notes in this. Note - it's a different vibe from the OG My Way - which I find kinda boring and not for me.

First impression test on blotter plus on wrist and I can say with certainty that My Way Ylang is my favourite My Way! I absolutely adore everything ylang ylang, mango, coconut and tuberose. These are literally my all time favourites notes in perfumery for warm weather. It’s freezing cold now in January when I am testing My Way Ylang and the launch feels out of place. But in summertime this is absolutely everything I want to smell like. A creamy, smooth, warm, sweet ylang ylang, coconut and mango with tuberose and a woody base. It’s perfect and absolutely adore it! Very feminine, fruity floral scent, a tropical dream, bottled in a peachy, pink square typical My Way bottle. Sunny, exotic, elegant and crowd pleasing for sure. I am sure that if you love these notes, this will be up your alley. I will go as far as to say that for those who love this scent profile, My Way Ylang is 100% blind buy safe! I need to abstain myself from ordering this because it’s not the season for tropical, fruity, florals, but it’s a sure buy for spring and summer season for me! And for those curious about how this scent, My Way Ylang would compare with Flowerbomb Tiger Lilly, this is so much better, the superior, elevated version of a creamy, tropical fruity floral perfume! Viktor&Rolf lacks the sweetness and creaminess that My Way has for me! Edit 28.04.25 Tried this today again in Sephora and I really liked it. I will definitely get a 10 ml during a future Sephora sale to see exactly how it compares with Jasmine Freak. Looks like they’re similar but I don’t really smell that.

As a huge fan of the My Way line, and comparing the similar notes My Way Ylang has with my beloved Flowerbomb Tiger Lily EDP, I ran to the nearest Macy’s expecting to buy this after testing it... Upon initial (10+, as expected) sprays, I immediately got the whiff of the OG My Way; gorgeous sweet mango and true coconut notes came through, just like Flowerbomb Tiger Lily’s does. I must say, I was happy to compare both and loving that neither perfumes carried anything synthetic to my nose, but this is where the experience took a turn. My Way Ylang’s tuberose became too faint after around an hour, ended up lacking that signature bubblegum scent I adore in the OG, Intense, and Floral versions. The perfume itself lasted a decent 6+ hours, with slight sillage; the mango and coconut unfortunately ended up a little too musky for me throughout the day, which is why I ended up not buying it. I’m not big on “comparing” perfumes, because I don’t find that fair, but Flowerbomb Tiger Lily won this round. That tropical DNA of mango and coconut maintains its “flavor” from beginning to end, with the familiar yet toned-down Flowerbomb OG as its base. My Way Ylang is a beautiful tropical fragrance with great lasting power, but the ylang ylang note overpowered everything else, in the end. Something tells me to definitely give this another go in the warmer seasons!

It did not make a good impression on me on a blotter test, but since I received a sample with my purchase I decided to give it a fair chance and applied it globally. The change in perception is shocking, it is now a like and closing on love since I adore ylang in parfums. It is sweet but rather comfortable to wear, I feel it belongs into floral-fruity-vanilla family. Clearly coconut and ylang are present, mango is subdued but there in the opening notes, tuberose is a fraction of itself. The coconut has many aspects here. An hour in and it is not losing the promise of the opening nor the strength. The sillage is substantial, but not too overwhelming. It will rather stay a bubble and as such might be used at work. But I see it rather a free time parfume, holiday in a bottle, perhaps it won't be too strong during summer. It feels natural. Very feminine. The base is dominated by vanilla but made more spacious with musk and the sweetness is more airy by cedar. I am very satisfied the way it wears. It is a statement parfume. 5,5hours in and it is still deliciously tropical and present. Making it the best tropical scent I know. And on my tobuy list it goes. Charming. The scent development is slow, I still am surrounded by initial impression though it lost the mango and some aspects of coconut. Hot day car ride tested.

A chameleon. July and August it was so big, nearing overwhelming, but now in September on a warm, sunny day it calmed down considerably and started to sound very floral. Top note on me now is the tuberose, with bergamot facet. Next I clearly feel full-bodied fresh ylang-ylang. This pairing is super feminine. From time to time nuances of mango and coconut are showing. Now it is near love for me and my adventure with it started with dislike, so I recommend proper skin tests for this beauty. With sparing application of one spray, this would be university/office appropriate. By all means it can be used in bigger amount but rather for private setting. Not overly tropical, but it gives the blend a special twist. It is special enough to be big events scent. Lovely for a bride it will make any woman a center of attention. I bought 30ml at first, because I adore the way ylang is melting with my skin but I thought it will be too loud to wear often, but I quickly bought a big back-up as this is worth it.

Hear me out.. male, straight, into tropical fragrances (check my profile). Will steer clear of anything marketed as female but if it's unisex I'm all for it.. Great examples- Eau De Soleil Blanc, LV city of stars, Virgin Island Water. Anyway, I see the poster for this one today in store and notice Sydney Sweeny with mangos, two things I like the thought of! Wander instore and try the OG My Way first.. very nice. I try the nectar version..better but leaning a bit fem and very floral. I try Ylang and bang..tropical sunscreen floral, I get the mango and coconut right away. a nice orange blossom with the floral Ylang base. Now I'm thinking to myself I may have to get this as a guilty pleasure for the summer time and holidays to the tropics! At home now smelling my card sample and I'm thinking that I may need to try some more "female" marketed tropical perfumes! And as a bonus I'll let the mrs wear it as well haha more suggestions please.

My favourite My Way. For the first time I am wearing it in summer. Wow. It is so beautiful. I love the tropical take on the My Way heart. In the spring it is verging on too strong, for many hours surrounding me in a big bubble but in the sumer it is lighter, just enough to be present. The ylang ylang is the leading note, beautifully juicyfied with mango and coconut while the tuberose creates the background. The mango and coconut are not literal but adjusting the edges of ylang and tuberose. It is tropical and floral. If this appeals to you then it is worth even a blind buy because the bottle and the parameters are gorgeous and worth having. It lasts many hours. It is so feminine and full of joy. I even bought a backup bottle it is so good. The mango sometimes takes the lead, sometimes it is ylang or coconut or tuberose. I love this caleidoscopic quality. Upping it to love, it is fantastic.

The opening is peach juice-soaked mangos and sun-kissed tuberose. Then the ylang and coconut come shining through. This smells like soleil blanc with the addition of tropical fruit on top. It’s absolutely beautiful. Tuberose is still very much the star note here, as it is a My Way flanker, but this is PERFECT for summer. If you have SB, Alien Goddess, or any of the other leit de coco scents, this may feel slightly redundant as the fruitiness isn’t all too preset toward the middle and nonexistent in the dry down. I see a lot of thumbs down for SB — I own soleil blanc and I’m telling you, they aren’t dupes but they do smell quite similar. Not the same naturally, but very close. This is going to be everywhere this spring and summer, I’m calling it now! What a gorgeous fragrance. Even if you don’t prefer the other My Way flankers, this one is different enough to warrant a sniff.

Fantastic flanker to the My Way line! I get the tuberose and mango as the main notes in the dry-down. At first, this was an explosion and sharp mango, in the most pleasant way. If you like V&R Tigerlily, and OG My Way, (Like I do) then this may be for you! The mango and milkiness of coconut is very similar to Tigerlily, but with a My Way white floral tuberose spin on it. Unsure why so many reviews are saying there is no tuberose..... I definitely detect it as much as the OG, but it's with the added tropical notes as well. Everyone's noses are different, but it's definitely there to me! I hated My Way Nectar (tested so many times). I am thrilled to be so in love with this flanker! I blind bought, and regret nothing.

I’ve been eyeing this perfume since it came out, and I finally got my hands on it. I’m honestly really impressed and surprised, even though I already had high hopes (I adore some of the other my way flankers). It starts out very floral, and as it dries down you get the coconut, mango, and slight banana from the ylang ylang. Oh, and of course there’s the signature My Way tuberose note mixed in. I personally LOVE tuberose, and for this flanker it’s dialed back a bit, especially compared to the others (which isn’t a critique at all, it works well for this one). Longevity and sillage are out of this world - honestly maybe slightly better than my way le parfum. Definitely worth trying!

My aunt loves the og my way and i wanted to try this for her but ended up loving it so much! it is a bright tropical fruity scent that is perfect for warmer weather. i also love the nectar but this one just hits different. it is a great choice for people who likes tropical fragrances like me. it is not groundbreaking but a lovely sweet juicy scent. wore this to the office and got complimented a few times which is always nice. i think this is a very youthful and fruity twist to the og my way, suitable for the younger audience.

Based on wrist test it is a very sweet scent that smells like leather and clothes boutique scented with room spray. The ylang note is overpowered by ultra sweetness that feels juvenile. The coconut is in the background and this is it. Apart from ylang coconut and vanilla I do not feel anything else. Can compete for Ariana Grande fans. Good news for the ones loving the scent - it lasts and lasts, already 2 weeks on the rubber band of my watch. Just by the contact with perfumed skin.

This one was unexpected, I’m a big My Way hater. But this?? It’s gorgeous, bold sweet mango and fresh florals playing a background supporting role. It lasts strongly on my skin for hours, absolutely no issues with the performance. My only slight complaint is that the scent is dependent on the weather. On a nice spring day it falls flat, on a blazing hot muggy day it shines and is so beautiful. I just wish I could wear it more, it’s a perfect vacation in a bottle perfume.

A perfectly blended tropical-flowery scent. Other flankers from my way line didn’t stand out to me. This one has nothing to do with them. Completely different from fame parfum from rabanne which is sweet mango tropical which i absolutely adore too, but in a sirupy way. Here the mango is more of a realistic fruit form as a fruity smoothie in which you added little banana and orange. Projection is loud, longevity seems unfortunately on the mediocre side.

Goodness, I love this perfume! I smell the OG My Way underneath a refreshing and juicy mango. I get the smallest touch of a creamy coconut.. but nothing too heavy or sunscreen like. Then the flirty and fun tropical florals come out.. whew! This is uplifting, juicy, vibrant and fun. The staying power is pretty good.. about 6 hours. The silage is pretty good too. I have received multiple compliments on this scent by men and women. My fave summer flanker!

This is one of my favorite perfumes, sweet and fruity, perfect for the summer. I can understand why some people dislike it, I find that it mixes with other scents quite poorly, but on it's own I love it. The juicy mango mixed with the florals is what makes this smell so alluring to me, super light and sweet with a slight powdery undertone, this is a perfect tropical girly scent for the summer.

this smells like summer in a bottle. a fruity, sweet cocktail on the beach! from that description you can guess it: this is perfect for summer. you will be turning heads with this. be careful with how much you spray though cause it could cause a sneezing attack lol. what i’m trying to say is, this starts with a punch to the face but after it fades it’s giving you a beautiful summer feeling.

I just picked this up in Montreal Canada today and I LOVE IT! Definitely a spring summer frag, but you can still get away with wearing it this winter, lasts about seven hours and I find a projection is excellent! The notes are delicious and blend well on my skin. I don’t think there’s any version of the “my way “perfumes that I don’t love.! Definitely worth buying, I got the 50 ML.

This is the best My Way out there... absolutely fantastic smell of Mango with Coconut and Ylang! I LOVE IT! is so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.... like OMG! Very pleasant although it doesn't stay long on my skin... up to 3 hours max. But i like it so much that I am ready to spray myslef every 2-3 h if needed... is amazing!

I have never used any of the perfumes from this line. I got a sample and when I sprayed it, I was mind blown. It smells so beautifully feminine. It smells sweet and creamy. I'm used to perfumed with amber but this is just marvellous. I definitely think its a summer scent, but i believe you can rock this at night.

This is a yummy tropical drink in a bottle with an atomizer. I perfectly get the coconut, mango, and banana nuances coming from the ylang, as well as the shy white florals hiding behind these fruits, which later come forward as the scent dries down. Perfect for warm days. My favorite from the My Way line by FAR.

Smells exactly like Vichy sunscreen (the orange tube) with a sweet & fresh note of mango. I personally love Vichy sunscreen so I love it! Perfect perfume for summers at the beach. Suitable for day activities but not for nights. Fresh & tropical. Longevity isn't the best, so bring it with you! 🌴🥭🥥🏵🫧

Oooh she's a tropical baddie. Mango and coconut hit hard to start. A juicy little party. Very pleasant and feminine. Develops into a more tropical floral-leaning scent, but the juiciness hangs around. Great spring/summer scent. A safe fragrance for sure.

I love it. It's really close to the OG My Way. Consider this as a slightly more tropical version of the og. Coconut and Ylang-Ylang makes it a perfect summer scent. Longevity is also fine. If I could pack only one perfume for vacation this would be it.

Girly feminine tropical youthfull scent. Has the same DNA as its sisters but the mango is a bit prominant. Has a bit also of the viva la juicy DNA, which I am a fan of. If you love this line, its a good edition. I love this and I find it sexy.

I blind bought this based on the notes, and I couldn’t be happier. Smells slightly tropical, sexy, uncomplicated. I’m kind of tired from tuberose, but it’s subtle enough to my nose in this flanker.

This is exactly what you’d expect. I get the mango for sure, it comes off like a delicious tropical mango drink mixed with the original My Way. This will be perfect for summer.

A perfect flanker in my opinion. The My Way DNA is subtle but present. I get a lot of mango, coconut, and ylang ylang, it's perfect for the summer. I can't wait to wear it.

I have the original My Way and the Floral and Nectar flankers. The OG is actually my least favorite of the three but I absolutely love the other two flankers! They are some of my most complimented scents in fact, so I was very optimistic and ordered this blind. I was hoping for more of the mango but instead I get more of the creamy, lactonic ylang and coconut notes. I don't really get much vanilla, but if it's there it's more of the flowery, non-gourmand type. I can sense some of the underlying My Way DNA and actually think it's a good addition to the lineup, even though it's not my favorite of the bunch. This is definitely a spring or summer daytime scent. Office safe if you don't over-spray, and the yellow floral notes keep it from giving sunscreen vibes. I don't get any cedar really, even on the extreme drydown. I'm aware of my own scent bubble for about 4, maybe 6 hours, and after that it's a skin scent for me. I also have V&R Flowerbomb Tiger Lily. There are actually strong similarities and out of all the "reminds me of" section I think it's the closest, but I actually like that one better because it has a stronger floral note that I like better. I think most people would find this pretty, or at least pretty inoffensive. For me it's a like, not a love, and I still strongly prefer the Floral and Nectar flankers.

This is straight up Egyptian Jasmine and Mangoes. But since Jasmine isn't listed, it could be the orange blossom+Ylang2 combo. Its Sultry and fun, anyone who likes Mangoes, this is the one for you! Its very sweet but not cloying and perfect for humid and hot climates. It reminds me so much of my Chloe Nomade Naturelle and another one I smelled recently called Brazil dream from Estee Lauder and also JLos Miami. I'm picturing the wearer being a tanned voluptuous woman, long dark hair with highlights, wearing an orange summer dress and a pretty smile. It has an "outgoing", flamboyant and attention grabbing vibe if that makes sense. I don't think its for me at the moment, perhaps for better days when I'm out more. Edit: Its also giving me Narciso Ambree, very smooth and creamy. And coconut comes through as time passes.😀 If this perfume had a texture, I'd would be mochi, very fluffy/pillowy! "Tropical Mochi". It radiates form the skin quite well too!

I do not like the original version of this flanker, not at all. That one is so overpoweringly flowery and has a weird, herby, basil-like scent to it that I constantly smell when I come across that perfume on others. So I didn't give it much chance when I tried this ylang ylang flanker this spring. I liked it and I ended up getting this for my birthday from my brother. I smell real coconut and juicy mango when I spray it on but once it dries down it turns more vanilla-ish with a hint of fresh ylang-ylang. I must say it's a well-made construction, considering I cannot bear the original My Way perfume, the two have nothing to do with each other, they could be completely different creations and not the same line. I wear this fragrance in the summer only as it's not suffocating and doesn't have great projection.

I'm not going to lie: I don't like the original My Way - I find it flat and completely lacking in originality. So I smelled this one without expecting anything. And it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! My Way Ylang offers a creamy, exotic fragrance built around coconut milk, ylang-ylang, and mango. The three notes are clearly distinguishable and come together beautifully in a tropical blend. Despite the countless exotic perfumes already out there, I find this one charming and well-balanced; it would make a lovely, unpretentious summer scent. But be warned: it has absolutely nothing to do with the original. Honestly, I don't even know why it's a flanker. If you're looking for something similar to the OG, you might want to move on.

[Review from South East Asia] I don't like the OG My Way, I don't like tuberose. To me, My Way Ylang has about 50% of the original perfume, mixed with tropical notes. It's clean & a bit soapy yet still retains the tropical nature. The coconut & mango combo is definitely there. The ylang ylang, I can't really pick up on perhaps it's in the background. This is also the only perfume that my husband has truly commented how he much he loves it. He said it reminded him of a type of local sweet cake that we have here. I didn't get that but whatever. I guess men like this. It lasted about 2-3 hours on me. To me this is a strong like, I have a 15 ml travel bottle of it and that's enough for me for now.

This is a bit intense for me straight out of the bottle but the dry down is wonderful. It starts out with striking amounts of fruity and floral notes that permeate quickly into the surroundinging area. Then it mellows out into a very warm, slightly floral, slightly spicy scent that creates a much more refined experience. It's a bit carefree but in a grown up way. I suffer from migraines from fragrances and haven't had any issues with this one so far. I apply it with a q-tip to keep it from being too much. The opening can be a bit of a punch to the senses if overdone.

A fun and interesting take on the original My Way. It's in the same family as Rabanne’s Fame and Flowerbomb Tiger Lily by Viktor&Rolf. I instantly pick up the mango and coconut, followed by ylang-ylang and tuberose. It smells like you're relaxing at a fancy resort on a tropical island, not a care in the world. I’m glad I got to try this. It’s the perfect scent for when you want to feel like it's going to be summer forever. 🏝️🥭🥥🍹

i love gourmand sweet scents and i've been wanting a sweet tropical perfume for ages, and this made me realize that i don't; it's a really playful, exciting and youthful scent but something about it just doesn't sit right with me. lovely mango note. although i would love smelling this on someone else it's a bit too sweet. i might get a travel size, maybe some days im in the mood for something like this

This is a really nice tropical fragrance - perfect for the summer! I personally don't think tropical fragrances suit me, but I think this perfect for a vacation on the beach, or any occasion outside in the sun. My biggest worry is always whether a fragrance will be headache-inducing, and even though this is a bit strong, it doesn't give me a headache which is a huge bonus!

Nice! Not unique at all. Very similar to my way and every other tropical scent. I like the overall sweetness but it’s very much a topical tuberose floral. Not ground breaking. But. Very nice! A solid 8/10. I got the travel spray and won’t bother with a larger bottle unless I found one very cheap. Same as nectar. Nice. Sweet. But not a full bottle purchase worthy.

I somehow just discovered this today at Ulta. Not sure how I missed its release. I'm a fan of the original My Way but not any of the flankers. But I liked the tropical vibe of this one, despite the fact that I generally do not like Ylang Ylang. I'll have to test it for real. One spray at Ulta is not enought but it's on my list. More or a spring/summer My Way.

Retaining the refinement and understated elegance of the original, this composition unfolds as the creamy embrace of warm ylang-ylang—balanced just enough to linger close to the skin for hours without the heaviness this flower can sometimes bear. It feels like My Way on holiday—sun-kissed, relaxed, and draped in the warmth of an exotic, golden getaway.

I love the original and Nectar. This one is a softer version of the original. The dry down is like the original with a soft musk. I don't like musk but I find it acceptable because it's weaker than vanilla and tuberose. I think, if you've the original or Nectar, you don't need this. Unless you're a collector. Rating: 8.5/10

This is nice, smooth, creamy and slightly tropical. One of the only few perfumes with the coconut note that I like. The tuberose note gives it a kick so it is not so bland.

The dry-down of My Way Ylang reminds me of Amouage Beach Hut for Women: that creamy, coconutty warmth, just with a gentler sillage. I own both, and yes... me likey!
