Scent Review Comparison: La Voie & My Way I love the scent profile of My Way so when I saw Maison Alhambra's version I had to try it! Keep in mind not all inspirations/schmoops are made the same but I have found Maison Alhambra's to be a good house. If you are not familiar with the brand it is a sub-bramd of Lattafa which makes some of the most popular viral scents! In short, My Way is a sophisticated white floral flowerbomb! I love florals - rose, muguet (aka lily of the valley), tuberose, jasmine, orange blossom, gardenia, hyacinth, magnolia, lilac, etc. On a test strip, My Way is deeper and perhaps more refined. If you have a trained nose you can smell the different notes. To me, it is a classically modern take on florals - not heavy on aldehydes like some classic scents but I think this one will stand the test of time. On a test strip, La Voie is brighter and juicier, if that makes sense. Do you get the different notes? I don't, I just get a glorious vivid and succulent tuberose in every possible way. Is it as refined as My Way? To me, no. However, I am 100% fine with that! On my skin, My Way turns into more of a skin scent. It is soft but there is a deepness to the notes. It is a lush and beautiful scent. La Voie is much more aromatic and luminous. There is a scent bubble. It also lasts hours on me compared to My Way. I truly adore them both! I haven't layered them yet but that will be my next step. Do you need both? Of course not but if you enjoy My Way's scent profile and are looking for a more wallet friendly alternative (3.4oz for under 20!) then I highly recommend La Voie!

I’ve had my bottle of My Way for about a year now, and I’ve worn it in both hot, humid climates and dry heat. I must say, I really like it. A lot of people describe it as generic and boring. While it might be somewhat generic, I wouldn’t call it boring. Sometimes I just want a nice, safe floral scent and this one does the job. It’s pleasant, reliable, and satisfies a craving I often get for My Way. It’s not my favourite perfume, nor the most complex or natural-smelling, or beautiful, but when I feel like wearing it, I really enjoy it. It wraps you in a soft, sweet scent bubble. It's a bubble-gummy tuberose that performs well. Interestingly, when I was travelling in Asia in very hot, humid weather, it actually smelled the best. The floral notes really came alive in that climate, it was a gorgeous and rich tuberose/jasmin combo. Back in Australia, in less humid and sometimes dry heat, it doesn’t bloom the same way but still smells lovely. I especially like the dry-down, which on my skin turns into a creamy mix of white musk and florals. That’s the part I enjoy most. There is something in it, possibly the bergamot (because i didn't notice it in my way floral or parfum that doesn't have bergamot) that I’m a little unsure about. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either, i can't put my finger on it. Still, I think My Way wouldn’t be My Way without i whatever that note is. Overall, a solid 7.5 out of 10. It’s one I reach for fairly often, especially in summer, despite having a large collection.

Ok the reviewers who are calling this perfume ‘basic’ and ‘not groundbreaking’ are just so dramatic?? There are so many other perfumes I’ve tried that are so similar to eachother and extremely popular. This one is one of the ones that smells the least like others? Actually, it smells so close to L’interdit however for some reason that perfume is praised to the gods? Anyway.. this perfume is beautiful! The tuberose and orange blossom, much like in L’interdit, translate to a grapey accord. However, unlike L’interdit, the combination of bergamot and orange blossom do add a little citrus note in here that in my opinion balances the fragrance a lot better and also gives its a brighter happier feel! Some reviewers have noted they smell a red berry, perhaps strawberry, and although that isn’t listed I do get that just a tiny bit. Maybe I wouldn’t have picked up on that had I not read about it. I almost get an orange creamsicle vibe from this! It’s really pleasant, and between this and L’interdit I prefer My Way because of its brightness and sparkle! Also that bottle.... it’s just beautiful. One thing that was holding me back are the bad reviews on this one that frankly I think are silly. While I believe, obviosuly, not everyone is going to like the fragrance, I just can’t get behind these ‘basic’ ‘generic’ ‘not ground breaking’ statements! My Way is bright and gleaming and more unique than most designer fragrances. Cheers!

Absolutely love.First time I tried a sample I hated it . It smelt like a way too intense floral.However I smelled it like two years later and fell in love.i usually don’t like citrus but this is just so well done.The perfect word to describe it is pretty.A pretty and sweet girly fruity floral.its not the most unique,it does smell kind of like paradoxe and mass market , but that’s why its so appealing .It gives such pretty girl energy.You know how every attractive girl used to wear flowerbomb in the 2010s?this is the 2020s version but not so overworn you smell it everywhere.I personally haven’t smelt it on other people and I don’t think it’s popular maybe because it was released during Covid.Most perfect spring perfume , it smells like flowers blooming.It also gives very pink energy if you know what I mean.I personally haven’t smelled other tuberose perfumes so maybe that’s why I find an aspect of my way so unique, but generally I recognize it’s very similar to other designer perfumes.A very safe pretty and feminine scent.I think ,even though it’s more daytime,that it makes a great signature scent.The kind of fruity floral that has enough depth and isn’t too young or immature.I personally don’t get the bubblegum everyone is talking about but my friends tell me I smell like candy when I wear it.Thinking of layering this with vanilla candy rock sugar to enhance that .

One of the most beautiful products of modern commercial perfumery, a perfect balance between intensity and delicacy, freshness and sweetness, a flower rendered in its most ethereal nature without distorting it. A modern classic of extreme grace and femininity: what more could you ask for? For goodness' sake, everyone has their own tastes, and if you don't like white flowers, you certainly won't like My Way anymore. I understand that some prefer more opulent versions (which, however, are less suitable in certain contexts), but anyone who compares it to niche perfumes (which have less than a Diptyque or a Byredo?) is absolutely biased. Anyone who finds it too sweet and cloying has a nose still spoiled by past eras and is incapable of discovering something new. You don't always have to spend €300 in a boutique to find a good perfume, nor delve into daring experiments. Sometimes you can even find a good perfume in commercial perfumes, and often simplicity pays off and is appreciated.

Can finally say my bottle has gone bad, after having it for 5 years. Having stored it in a dark corner away from sunlight, just in my regular temperature room, of course not close to any radiators. Scent will turn from pink to a light yellow tea color after about a year or less of opening the perfume. The scent has definitely changed and gone more sour to me, after several years. Anyway time, for review Very pretty fresh tuberose, a scent that can be worn by any age. Even as a teenagers first designer fragrance. Very hard to dislike. Good projection and staying power, however nothing spectacular After comparing this to Givenchy L'interdit EDP, personally I would go with Givenchy. My Way is very pretty and fresh, but L'interdit has better staying power and projection. Don't get me wrong, someone close by will definitely smell My Way on you, if you overspray, but L'interdit just beats My Way by performance. They both have that same pretty bubblegum type of scent.

I am more of a "niche perfume creature" but I do love a few designer fragrances. I received a sizable decant of "My Way" when I recently purchased a full bottle perfume. I read a lot about "My Way" but never attempted to wear it, or sample it. I'm surprised at how much I like this fragrance. For a designer brand that certainly aims for mass appeal, My Way is unique and very pleasant. IMHO, My Way is a VERY wearable & appealing, tuberose-centric fragrance. The opening is all citrus and orange blossom. But within 30 seconds, the opening notes dissipate and tuberose seamlessly blends. The tuberose unfolds well and the perfume lands with a vanilla-floral-musk-wood base. Giorgio Armani "My Way" wears EXACTLY as the notes might dictate. And for a fragrance with some quality, My Way can be purchased at bargain prices, really. My Way is much better than any of the Givenchy L'Interdit perfumes. But you must like tuberose to enjoy My Way.

very very SWEET & feminine scent i must say, probably the most feminine one I've ever had. I tend to go after fresh/clean/fruit/floral scents and honestly, this hit all the marks - definitely the fruity and floral part. It's super sweet and enticing, kind of like what a succubus would wear when trying to seduce someone :o this was also the ONE scent I got majority of compliments from. I liked that though! i used this when I was in my lil rebel era and honestly, it was a fun scent, highly recommend if you're looking for something fruity & sweet. I will say though, it CAN be a bit overpowering and unbearing sweet if you're not quite used to super sweet scents. It was my daily wear for a year and Its actually one of my favorite scents ever haha, I keep contemplating on coming back to using it one day :) 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for a good & fun scent to accompany you on a silly era of your life.

Spring in a bottle. Perfect fresh white floral bouquet. Refreshing, romantic, purely feminine. Pure with equal proportions of orange blossom, tuberose and jasmine. Refreshed on top by bergamot with clean and subtle backgroud of white musk with just a drop of vanilla sweetness. I am loving the opening. Similar in style to L'Interdit but different sufficiently and I think better. Bolder. Less bubblegum. I feel enveloped in it but it is a welcome experience. This blend is not shy, it has a presence. If you like your scents faint, barely there it is not for you. Very bridal. 4 hours and it still projects and did not change much which I actually like since it opened perfectly and as if with all the notes immediately present. It is a big scent. A dive into white floral bouquet as fresh as possible with green nuances to the flowers and their moisture untouched.

This is absolutely beautiful!! If you love white florals like myself, this is an absolute must for your collection! The jasmine is perfection in this!! It has the perfect amount of projection and longevity! I love everything about it! I’ll be wearing this as soon as spring comes around!! For what it’s worth, it’s not all that similar to L’interdit or Fahkar in my opinion. A little, but that has ylang ylang and is way creamier feeling and just has a different vibe. This is more airy feeling! It’s in the same family but I personally wouldn’t say they smell alike. I would say it would be an “if you like this, you’ll like that” scenario! I certainly do! Love them both! I don’t feel like having both is redundant. Just my personal opinion.

Man’s perspective here. I actually got this scent as a sample when I bought a bottle of Armani Stronger With You just because I had to choose two samples of something. It smelled so good I bought a bottle for my sister and girlfriend who both loved it as well Highly recommend this scent for a woman. Very attractive floral fragrance that will get you compliments and turn heads. This is my favorite scent on a woman so far that I’ve smelled just above Dior J’adore and this is cheaper. If you care more about smelling good than smelling “unique” or edgy like the snobby YouTube fragrance reviewers, you’ll probably like it. It’s simple, but it smells fantastic.

Honestly, i enjoy the scent mainly because it can be used as an everyday scent, though even i can get tired of it, i still enjoy it when i spray it on. i get a lot of compliments too. My only wish is that it could stay on for longer and keep the fresh and airy feel from the first pray, because it doesn't. i keep the bottle with me so i can re-apply but when i do, it doesn't smell like the first. it starts to feel a little suffocating and 'alcoholy' but i can still smell the freshness. i think majority would like this scent as an everyday summer scent, but over-time, you would probably want more or maybe layer perfumes.

So happy to add this one to my collection. I got a travel spray of it over a year ago and had it on my list of scents I'd like a bigger bottle of. This one is just pleasant, a universally liked scent that I won't feel nervous about offending others when wearing it. Lately, I've been buying niche fragrances and some of them are not one's I'd wear to the office or places where there would be lots of people because they may have less popular notes. This one just smells gorgeously floral, not old lady like, but just the right amount of floral with a nice sweet musky undertone that lasts for a while on my skin.

Wow, this one really grew on me. I rarely go for florals because I usually find them a bit too stuffy and serious, but I've found this to be beautifully balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness to keep it playful and fun. Perfect level of projection, too. With one spray on my wrists I get a beautiful, intimate little cloud that I can pick up for several hours. I can see why it's so popular - it's just so easy to reach for every day. I think it may become a favourite!

First time wear today and I am loving it. My husband actually made positive remarks about it, which is rare. I think he just barely tolerates some of my perfume choices, but he seemed pretty pleased with My Way. It's been 6 hours and it's still going strong, too! It's sweet and floral, likely a safe blind buy for most people. I do think it's best suited for Spring, so I will be saving it until March. I will update of it macerates into something better or worse in that time.

Love this perfume (and the Nectar version too). Bought the full bottle after I ran out of Nectar and after having a small miniature bottle of this classic one. I think the notes are far more complex than listed here. It is sweet, classic, powdery, sexy, feminine, joyful... Very universal. Never smells bad, suits every setting, which is very convenient. Don’t agree that it smells mass-market, it is too layered and has higher quality performance. Is worth it!

I think this is an incredible fragrance for women. I recently bought this for my girlfriend and neither of us have any complaints. Fairly good projection and the longevity is insane for her. I will be able to smell it the next morning after we wake up. Genuinely 12+ hour skin scent, projects well for up to 3-4 hours. It is a little pricey but nothing crazy for similar quality designer. Genuinely one of the best women's fragrances imo. great buy.

My Way is such a pretty and feminine composition, I really love it :) white flowers are realistic and smell so beautiful. It’s a sweet fragrance, but sweetness isn’t synthetic or overwhelming, it naturally comes from flowers. It’s a versatile perfume and it’s hard for me to imagine that someone might actually hate it. I recommend My Way to all white flowers enjoyers and to everyone who wants to feel pretty and feminine :)

This perfume gets so much hate, but I love it exactly because it's so playful, girly and unpretentious. Gets compliments from everyone. Amazing performance while being airy at the same time. Serves as a reminder that not everything in life needs to be complex. If you can think past the judgemental attitude of 'I need to be special and different from all humans around me' you might really enjoy this. It's delicious.
