Power Of You

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this perfume, nor did I even purchase it for myself. I’m not entirely sure why; maybe I found the bottle a bit boring online or that I have many other fruit frags in my collection? I know, ridiculous lol. But I have to say I’m so happy I was gifted 'Power Of You'!!!!! The opening is incredibly zingy, juicy, and photorealistic in a way that is truly different from most fruity perfumes I’ve tried. The passionfruit note is what really makes it stand out. It’s tropical, tart, slightly sparkling, and not at all syrupy or artificial like a lot of fruit scents can be. I have to say, passion fruit is hard to describe. Once dried down, vanilla comes through along with Frangipani (and 'solar notes'): becomes very warm, creamy, and almost coconut like.. melding into the top, fruit notes perfectly. There is certainly a lingering tang! It genuinely reminds me of passionfruit ice cream in a way. When talking to my mom I mentioned, “it’s like a piña colada but with passionfruit,” which makes perfect sense in my head. Slightly creamy, lightly musky, with vanilla rounding everything out, but still very vibrant. This fragrance makes me want to go on vacation. It’s fun, spirited, carefree, and a little nostalgic: like tropical drinks, warm air, and fruit eaten by the beach. Completely edible smelling without ever becoming cloying. What surprised me most is how well the passionfruit holds through out the day. It doesn’t disappear or get buried under the other notes This won’t be for everyone, especially if you don’t like fruity fragrances or prefer more nocturnal, dark scents. But if you’re into tropical frags, this is a really unique, lovely addition to any collection.

I’ve put off rewriting this review for so long because I can’t fully capture how much I love this fragrance in a normal amount of time. I actually spent hours drafting it at work once, accidentally refreshed the page, lost everything, and was so pissed I put off rewriting it for months lol. Of course, I'm not sure I could achieve the writing I did then, now. Anyways... this is the juiciest passionfruit fragrance that has only existed in my dreams until now. It opens very full-fleshed, with a strong, vibrant passionfruit that lingers throughout the entire wear. I was worried the bitter orange would come across way too rind-heavy, as it has in the past for me, but it couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s just the right amount of uplifting citrus with a little punch that brightens the fragrance and keeps it light and sparkly. The frangipani is subtle too, not overwhelmingly solar, which I’m also picky about. It gives the fragrance this soft, waft-y airy quality under the passionfruit without being an in-your-face floral, either. Then the vanilla steps in and just completely amplifies everything, becoming this fuzzy, ultra-saturated, passionfruit-flavored cotton candy. And it’s not cheap cotton candy either, it reminds me of Turkish pişmaniye where you really get that airy spun texture too. So well blended and so illustrative. I genuinely think it’s impossible NOT to feel hot wearing this. And, this is my 300th review !! Yay I love reviewing frags :')

I’ve stepped away from buying fragrances, researching them, and even testing them for months, so I literally didn’t even know this perfume existed until I was in Sephora a few weeks back. I sprayed this on a test strip and fell in love at first sniff! I immediately recognized passion fruit without even knowing what notes were in it. I thought also that maybe it might have a touch of guava in there too. Anyhow, the scent lingered on the test strip for over a week. Crazy longevity! I used it as a bookmark so every time I opened the pages, I would get a whiff of the most alluring and unique tropical and caramelized brown sugar vanilla combo ever! And I was obsessed without ever having smelled it on my skin. I had to have it because for one, it’s unlike anything out there right now. It also is beast mode, and reminds me of homemade passion fruit ice cream in my home country, Puerto Rico, which I miss very much. Maybe I’m biased or nostalgic because I’m a bit homesick at the moment. Nonetheless, it’s a wonderful, happy, sweet, fruity, loud, festive, tropical vanilla island girl bomb and I’m here for it. Bought the largest bottle immediately. And yes, it smells heavenly on my skin too, so no regrets here. 🔥🇵🇷🌺 🏝️

I'm a dude and the second I smelled this I felt like Armani simply laughed at the whole SWY collection with this fragrance release (okay, maybe not fr, at least not at 'intensely' and 'powerfully', but you get the point). Must've been the passionfruit that stroke me like that and made me think I need to buy this. It's a sweet, tropical, fruity Summer scent and the opening is very loud, the passionfruit sweetness and citrusy top notes blend in an absolute bomb. While both the passionfruit and citrusy scent remain, it later gains a more refined smell thanks to the frangipani, which maintains the tropical vibe at the same time. After hours it settles down in its vanilla base, the warm sweetness being empowered by benzoin and labdanum. The longevity is pretty good on skin and enormous on clothes. The sillage is strong at first but it soon becomes moderate. Do I think it smells feminine? Yeah. Do I also think you can rock this as a guy? Hell yeah. I may be biased, but if you like it, wear it. No need to be sensitive about it.

I tried this on my skin in store last week and was blown away! Luckily i'm not one of those people who gets a kind of funky passionfruit smell. On me, this smells exactly like passionfruit ice cream, one of those Solero ice lollies if you've ever tried them! The passionfruit and vanilla are front and centre. It's creamy, fruity and rich. As it dries down, the vanilla icecream loses it's thickness and it starts reminding me of a p*rnstar martini. Performance was excellent on my skin. I got a full day's wear out of it and couldn't stop sniffing my arm. I genuinely wanted to eat it! This is such a happy fragrance. Bright, tropical, addictive and absolutely perfect as a hot holiday scent. Definitely not for everyone, and I think there's only 2 weeks of the year that you could safely wear this, but hey, I love it all the same!

A love story I never saw coming. I'll be honest — I went in skeptical. The "You" line from Emporio Armani has never really been my thing, so I wasn't expecting much. But this one completely blindsided me. The opening is pure jammy, syrupy passion fruit — bold, unapologetic, and addictive. Then it dries down into the softest, most romantic musky vanilla I've smelled in a long time. That transition alone makes it worth the experience. The drydown will remind you of JPG's La Belle — and intentionally so. But where La Belle leans sharper, rawer, and smokier with an undeniably sexy edge, Power of You takes a more refined path. Think less seductress, more Lady Boss. It's polished, expensive-smelling, and unmistakably feminine. This is now a full obsession. Didn't see it coming. Zero regrets.

I begged for this one for my birthday because my go to scent (By The Fireplace) is super wintery and I love passionfruit. It’s tart and juicy and the vanilla adds something creamy at the end. I will say for a designer fragrance I would expect slightly better longevity because I can really only smell this on skin for about 4 hours, longer on clothes and hair. It’s tropical and sweet but I think fruity enough not to go cloying and I love the bottle. I will say the base is not the most pleasant vanilla to my nose, it’s not a bakery vanilla, it reminds me of Libre which I didn’t like. In this scent it is balanced enough but I don’t generally like this sort of round, yogurt-y vanilla.

When I smell this for the first time, I was impressed by the strong scent of passionfruit to me it was like a realistic passionfruit. It was a little too strong for my taste so I passed however, after a month, I went back to the store and I tried it again and my boyfriend was with me and he sampled it and he loved it, and I found that the passion fruit was not as intense. I sprayed it on my arm. I walked around and it went from a delicious passionfruit to a passionfruit, vanilla perfume, and I love it with the passion that vanilla is beautiful. The passionfruit is soft. It’s not headache inducing, and it’s a great perfume in my opinion.

This has a passionfruit forward vanilla base. Smells like some kind of passionfruit pastry with whipped cream! Almost makes you hungry. Fruity opening and fades into warm caramel vanilla- even a bit spicy maybe? The dry down is amazing but after 1 day or so it smells like playdoh.....Definitely lasts throughout the whole day even when it's hot and humid, but the next day you'll get a whiff of playdoh on your clothes. It has great sillage too. If you're new to gourmande, I think this might be an ok starter because of the fruitiness and it's not overly sweet despite all of the accords. Not getting the BO accusations at all.

I was SO surprised to hear that this is a rather polarizing fragrance because it was one that I smelled in Sephora once and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I purchased a bottle and have never regretted it. She's getting a ton of wear this summer. She's long-lasting and I am so impressed with how balanced it is. You will absolutely get a tangy, sweet (almost sour in like a very fresh fruit kind of way) passionfruit and then almost immediately this incredible smooth vanilla ice cream moment starts happening but one never really overpowers the other? You can smell them at the same time and omg it's just a masterpiece IMO

It's essential to try this out on your skin to see if it works for you. I was put off by the opening notes on the paper strip which gave me BO vibes. Then after I read so many good reviews I ordered a 1ml sample and tried it on my skin and suddenly realized what all the hype was about and ordered a full bottle. The sharp notes disappear in seconds and I'm left with a lovely sweet, fun and fruity tropical scent that makes me feel like I'm on holiday. A great weekend perfume in summer and worth a try for those who want something sweet/tropical/summer appropriate that doesn't smell like coconut, gardenia or frangipani.

I smelled this for the first time in the store back in February, and it's now June, and I can still remember the scent clear as day. It's strong on the juicy passionfruit note that is intertwined with a creamy vanilla that I can smell even when first sprayed. I can also see why this is compared to the scent of passionfruit ice cream, because it's got an almost syrupy quality without being overwhelmingly sweet or juvenile. It's to me a mature, passionfruit and vanilla smoothie that exudes an air of confidence and intentionality. Love love love it!!! I even bought a 90ml bottle, and that's rare for me!

This is such a delicious juicy and sweet scent. To me it smells like eating an orange creamsicle on a hot summer’s day. It opens with a bright and juicy tropical orange and passion fruit with a hint of a creamy vanilla (very ice cream like) and as it dries down that vanilla becomes even more prominent. This last for a long time too, when I spray it on my hair in the morning I can still smell it the next day when I move my hair. After having it for a month it had become one of my most complimented perfumes. I strongly recommend this if someone is looking for a vanilla summer scent.

Extremely intense passion-fruit/vanilla fragrance. It is a sugar bomb of a perfume, and it lasts more than 8 hours on my body. I agree with the comments that state that it is very synthetic, but for me that's actually something I appreciate. It's something that you will like if you enjoy the flavour/fragrance of candy. I like to wear it during night time/cold weather because I feel like it is too sweet for high temperatures. I feel like the price point is actually adequate for its performance. Likely not very office appropriate. Solid 8.5/10

This is such an intense and lovely fragrance. The passion fruit hits immediately and strong—sharp, tart, bright, truly juicy sour! But the vanilla is so soft and smooth, that it acts as a counterweight. The two really push against each other in a way that doesn't blend, but balances. It's really interesting! Definitely a statement fragrance, so I can see it being polarizing, but I really like it! Super summery, and the vanilla dries down to an absolutely caramelized softness, with the passion fruit as a whisper after a few hours. Lovely.

I’m one of the lucky ones who doesn’t get the BO note on my skin. My daughter is incredibly picky when it comes to fragrances, so when she caught my sillage and said, “Ummm... you smell like peaches,” I knew it was a good sign. I completely agree. On my skin, it smells like a real, juicy peach. Not candy-like or peach rings, but the scent of a fresh, ripe peach with a rich, natural sweetness and the vanilla ties everything together. Beautifully realistic and absolutely delicious. My only regret is not getting the 100ml.

I am generally not a fan of fruity smells, but I love this one! When I went to Dominican last year my favorite refreshing snack to eat was passion fruit and whipped cream. This smells exactly like that, you get the true passionfruit and then later is met by the sweet creamy fluffy vanilla. I have never purchased a full sized bottle of perfume unless it was on sale, and I loved this one so much that I purchased the 100ml no sale, I just needed it in my life. Not sure if it is a safe blind buy tho.

I was a little stunned when I smelt this at first in a good way. Its pretty unique from what I've smelt in the past, when you spray it on, you get that passion fruit which is strong and tart and juicy then you get hit with this sweet creamy vanilla that's just perfect. no one note steals the spotlight they share it 50/50 its just very well balanced. This is very much unisex I wouldn't mind wearing it as a man and if I smelled this on a female id be drawn in. 10/10

i smelled power of you in sephora and immediately had to buy it!! perfumes with notes of passionfruit usually smell like armpit to me, but the combination of vanilla and passionfruit made this fragrance really sweet. i don't really get the floral notes of this perfume, as the top and base notes are really prominent. however, i don't really mind that, as the longevity of this fragrance is CRAZY. this will definitely be my staple summer perfume from now on!!
