Rose Milano Soie de Nacre

The shimmery edition full of glitter has my heart ... it is sooooooo pretty, a luminous rose wrapped in fresh citrus and softened by delicate jasmine. The shimmer adds a touch of elegance, making it feel graceful, feminine, and effortlessly chic .. a girly girl’s dream scent. The bottle is super cute, with shimmer that’s barely visible on skin (which is a bummer) ... This to me is not brand new... I got mine about a year ago, so it must be that it has been released in the US now... It is the same fragrance as the Rose Milano but with shimmers in the bottle and a pink cap. A light rose that is not cloying or heavy in any way but in that sense not mysterious or intriguing either. It belongs more among the family of the A la Rose scents from MFK (especially the l’eau a la rose version) and the likes of Young Rose from Byredo. In essence it is a light fresh rose scent like a rose you smell in its “natural habitat” like a fresh flower with a bit of green freshness surrounding it which is achieved with the citrus at the top. I can’t really say I smell any Jasmine in here but think the fragrance gets a bit of sweetness that way. The oak moss and patchouli ar very soft in the background. Someone suggested here below that there is some difference between this and the original bottle (that doesn’t have the sparkles in it). But when I compare them I cannot detect any difference at all. They are both the same light fresh take on a rose scent. A light wear during the day. Classy but not exciting and the other fragrances mentioned within the same scent family are both more interested. This is also an eau de toilette which means it will not stay on for very long on the skin. Ok for an EdT but not more than that. The shimmer bottle is nice but also adds to it being a bit overpriced. ❣️

I love the way this smells, it's a perfect summer fragrance. HOWEVER! Longevity and sillage are dismal. I get around two to three hours wear on skin before it totally disappears and then I have to reapply once again. It sits quite close to the skin and is not overwhelming, so I guess it would be perfect for an office setting.

Starts with a strong pear-rose combo but mellows down into a rose bar soap. Very clean, soft, pretty good sillage.

Just to let you know, this one absolutely has no sweetness of the original, it can be a good thing for some.
