Rouge Malachite Limited Edition L'Or de Russie

The epitome of elegance. Rouge Malachite is a stunning perfume. The opening is a green, fleshy tuberose, followed by jasmine shortly after. Ylang and orange blossom make an entrance next, creating an opulent bouquet with a fleeting exotic vibe. Benzoin is the game changer here. It adds that raisinous, balmy feeling which I adore. Cashmere and amber add further warmth and a sense of luxury. There is a slight resemblance to Alien, however this is way better. Creamier, sexier and impeccably sophisticated. Signature worthy. Simply divine.

Nothing comes close to this masterpiece. Rouge Malachite is an œuvre d’art, period. L’Or de Russie (Gold of Russia) is the exact same scent but the cap is golden rather than red. Otherwise, the juice is the exact same formula. I love love love Rouge Malachite and I will never stop loving it. Even though it has tuberose and amber (two notes I struggle with), it is a testament to Pascal Gaurin’s masterful ability to make tuberose smell magical and I hope I never run out of this divine potion, E-V-E-R!!

It’s smooth, yes, but underneath, there’s that unmistakable indolic edge, a whisper of overripe nature left too long in the sun, pulling the scent from creamy elegance to a more thickened depth. The sillage, oh, what a beast. It really does you like an ornate trail, a cloud that can both captivate and overwhelm. This is both the gift and the curse of Rouge Malachite, I've concluded—its lingering presence that will stay long after you’ve gone. This fragrance has volume, and while that can be alluring, there is also a slightly cloying heaviness to it, like the weight of its own jewellery. It’s not ultra-special, no—it’s something you’ve met before, just with a touch more opulence, a little more audacity. But in its full-bodied embrace, it’s undeniable—sweet, seductive, and maybe just a touch overbearing.

I like this perfume its unisex sweet & smell great.

This smells like the original Code to me but a little more Jasmine-y and a little less sweet. It has the same "coldness" the new Code has, which I don't really like. If you like cold, crisp, clean linen-like perfumes, you might like this one.

I feel like I think I like this but it’s nothing that’s wowing me. I mostly get jasmine on my skin.

Im suprised to see no reviews on this one.. so let me answer the big question for you that are wondering, yes this is the same as the first rouge malachite. It is a special addition called Lor De Russie meaning their Russia, which is the inspiration behined this fragrance and the perfumer. Its a subtle bad ass perfume in my opinion and great in the summer. It is a white t shirt perfume as well as a evening go out perfume.. there is a smoothness and a little friction all sooo balanced together in a floral amber powder with a little sweetness.. if you love amber this is the one1 If yure like me and dont love amber its still done so well that its worth a try.. I would call this a true masterpeice and Im very picky.. To me other masterpieces are lira, angelique nior,gourmand couquine, santal complet, ylang in gold, merchant of venice arabesque ect..be careful with the testers on ebay, none have been good in my experience, and I have bought many good testers of other frags,but this one may be duped or go bad fast? :)

This perfume for me is like love at first sniff . Then, it needed a time to develop a solid relationship with it. It has taken me 4 weeks back and forth to fully be in love with it head to toes. It reminds me of Dune from Dior and womanity from Thierry Mugler, and little reminder of Eau des Merveiles from Hermes However, Alien from TM was a bad experience to me , my body couldn't stand it. Rouge malachite will be my new beautiful discovery to add to my love collection. To your reference, my body chemistry loves musky, citrusy, white flower perfumes. I hope that helps.

I kept smelling my hand over and over again for 2 hours. I was scrolling through the comments and the smell like perfumes. I know I've smelled this before. And finally a light bulb went off. This smells 95% identical to Ella K Reflet Sur L'Okavango - not 100% but pretty close, enough to make me pause and really question if I should get another perfume that smells almost the same. Let me know your thoughts if anyone owns Reflet Sur L'Okavango and this one.
