Thé Yulong Soie de Nacre

I've smelt this scent before. I'm pretty sure this is being pumped in the AC unit of a nearby 5 star hotel lobby and the adjoining mall beneath. I don't fault them for choosing this. This is a gorgeous sweet chinese tea scent that is not cloying or headache inducing. In fact it's quite calming and puts you in a luxurious yet oriental frame of mind. It's easy to want to overspray this because it's such a delicate scent (I sprayed it 5x) but you don't really need to. If you do, You'll be greeted by a sharp alcohol smell at the start but it disappears quickly and the tea and matcha scent will start to bloom. Minus the alcohol because of the overspray, this has a beautiful and expensive smelling opening. This is an EDT so I don't expect this to last. I'm also not getting much projection or sillage. I wish Armani release this as an EDP. Linear in development (at least on my skin). Very unisex but leans feminine. UPDATE: 3 hours in and the scent is down to the bone so even for an EDT, longevity is disappointing. The vetiver is incredibly faint. They really didn't put much in. I have to really press my nose on the part of skin I sprayed this to get faint traces of it. I guess there's still some musk. I'm not sure where the iris in the note breakdown came from cause I detected none.

This was a blind buy for me. It’s a calming fragrance. I get the cardamom in the opening, but it’s very mellow. There isn’t any lemon or bergamot in this scent, which is a shame. I feel those notes would have given it more of an uplifting sparkle, which it’s lacking for me. The citrus in this scent comes from the Mandarin. It does kind of remind me of a Lipton ice tea, something I’d always buy on holiday in tropical climates, so I feel this would be very refreshing in hot weather. This is still love and an 8 or 9 / 10 for me. I bought the glitter bottle, which is stunning, but ridiculously overpriced for an eau de toilette! This is also a skin scent. I’m happy to have it in my collection regardless .... However I’m still looking for the ultimate uplifting lemon Lipton ice tea scent.

The version I tested is the iridescent/pearly liquid one; visually, I don’t think it differs from the OG. This is a fresh, lotion-like green fragrance that radiates luxury. The citrusy freshness never overrides the creamy texture or that gorgeous tea accord; the tea here is exceptionally refined. It doesn’t sit in a “teapot” phase; instead, it appears as fresh, green, tender leaves. Even though both black and green tea are listed, this wears like a truly majestic white tea to my nose. It’s not earthy at all; rather, it moves with a soft ambrette haze that gives it a gentle, elegant warmth. Absolutely delightful. I bought this after finding my obsession with LV Imagination. I was on the hunt for tea fragrances. This is such a gorgeous, elegant, and soft fragrance. It’s one of the first fragrances I’ve worn but didn’t mind that it had little projection. It’s lasted 14 hours on my clothes, even after sweating and mowing the lawn. Crazy longevity, but it does have that weak EDT projection, which I am fine with. Everything in this is perfectly blended. It’s warm but fresh, sweet but sharp. This one has been done to perfection in every way except for the longevity. Yes, the glitter is on my clothes, but really only visible in certain lighting. It’s a cute touch 😌 ADD: the lack of projection did end up bothering me. I decluttered it.

I absolutely love this fragrance. The dry down is better than the open in my opinion. Open with a fair bit of citrus, but the tea really really comes through on the dry down. The sillage is moderate to weak, it's more like "come closer, this smell delicious" kind of smell. I'd say the black tea is more prominent than the green tea. It's a very comforting sweet tea scent. Almost takes me back to when I was a child, sipping tea, eating fruits, looking at stars and moon with my granddad in a hot summer/autumn evening back in my home city. Pu'er and Long Jeng were my granddad's go to tea. I absolutely have no regret getting this due to nostalgia alone.

This is the same as the OG, but obviously much prettier🙈 this is a fresh( and fairly sharp) green tea perfume. It is very clean, but in no sense “cleaning product clean”, I think the musk in the bottom really “grounds” it, and helps with the your skin but better feeling. To me, it’s pretty much green tea heaven!

giorgio armani is gettin up there as one of my fav perfume houses...ocean di gioia was an immediate hit when i first tried it, and i got a sample of this after seeing how gorgeous the bottle was and i am not disappointed!! its fresh with just a right amount of sweetness, not too much nor too little. not too sharp or green like some other citrusy freshies, this one is very well-rounded.

Beautiful refreshing tea scent. With sweetness. It’s delicate and comforting but makes you feel clean and put together. Gorgeous bottle too 💚

i just unboxed this last night & although i do love it (mainly for the aesthetic) but this doesn’t smell entirely unique to me.. now I don’t have the largest collection but i recently have been buying a lot of tea related perfumes & body mists and this doesn’t smell as lux as i thought it would. BUT i do really like it though im a big time perfume layering kind of guy and i hardly ever wear any of my perfumes on their own ( with the exception of getting to know the fragrance m) I layered this with bdk by gris charnel andddd i freakin love it.. absolutely yes this will be staying in my collection & i might buy a backup just in case. UPDATE: so yesterdays wear test i had this layered with bdk gris charnel and because both have similar notes i couldn’t really tell them apart once the dry down came. so today i decided to wear this with Elizabeth arden green tea (mainly as an amplifier) and it’s performing pretty well so far i can still smell it on my shirt and i gets little whiffs of its in the air when im moving or walking but its faint ( im not mad though) i applied this at 7:39 and its 9:09 right now i can also still smell this on my skin and i didn’t reapply any moisturizer before spraying. i will come back with a finale update in about 3-4 hours. UPDATE: okay soo i may have forgotten to come back and give y’all an update (lol) but i took notes and i will say this lasted more than 4 hours on my shirt and i still would get very faint whiffs of it randomly through out the day. it did die down a lot on my skin at the 4 hour mark but it was still detectable up close. i think im gonna only wear this on days for cuddling or a really stormy day i have already put a dent in this (mainly from over spraying) and still in the fence on if i should buy a back up or not ( probably will) but other than that this is a solid perfume release just not super unique imo 8/10

I have both Soie de Nacre and the original The Yulong, and I did a direct wear test on my left and right arm. This is a pretty fragrance, but I much prefer the OG The Yulong. The notes seem to be the same, but definitely not the same ratios and blend. This is much fresher, a bit sour, with a very prominent citrus. The base is probably formulated in the same way, but the fragrance tops are different. Soie de Nacre reaches much higher, is more expansive and more "in your face". I think it can be good, if you'd like a more explosive fragrance that makes little bursts, not trails, when you walk around. Here I copy the review of the OG for a complete picture: "I much prefer this one over Soie de Nacre. Both are pretty fragrances, but the OG is much calmer, grounded, and the spirit actually "behaves" like what I associate green tea with. Soie de Nacre is a dancing, chirping, a bit louder fragrance to me. But what I look for is green tea that embodies more tranquility, calmness and silence of a tea garden. So... if you want a tea garden - the original The Yulong If you want a tea circus - Soie de Nacre About performance, I think it's decent, but this is rather expensive, and I'm not sure if it's so incredibly unique that justifies the price. I certainly don't mind smelling like this, but there are many very pretty tea fragrances for a fraction of the price that will give you the same effect. Even the Elizabeth Arden classic."

Luxurious hotels in China are pumping this through their vent system as we speak! I have the pearlescent green juice in the large bottle, it smells squeaky clean and sensually soft, as someone else on here mentioned, a little lotiony in a good way. White tea heavy, green tea in the background, the citrus is up front and center but is light, ozonic and bitter like the peel of a bergamot fruit. I think the jasmine is quite present, peasantly, and the ambrette adds a soothing and soft musk to the base. It is also a little tiny bit sweet, so feminine, but not juvenile. This is really gorgeous. Its a beautiful room spray and a great personal perfume without sitting on top of the skin, this has a best-of-both-worlds quality. Ive been really into tea scents lately, and this in general is a common concoction but i think it was executed very well. It feels light and airy and smells inoffensive and bright. Like a good day. However, very little projection - but with citrus tea frags that is just the way the cookie crumbles

gotta say, the shimmer in this line is outstanding; much better than many luxury shimmers (like ysl or mfk). Instead of glittery, it creates a pearly, glowy finish with a retouched-like sleek skin texture. *lancome body creams create the same effect btw The scent itself is a refreshing, lightly sweet green iced tea, with a sharp touch of bitter lemon (almost like lemon peel). After a bright fizzy opening, settles into a green tea with gentle white floral base, mostly jasmine with soft spices. It’s a fresh feminine summer scent somewhere between Arden’s green tea & CK One, but more refined and upscale. lasts around 3hrs off skin and full day on clothes, which I think is very good for this kind of composition

So I had a nasty migraine yesterday. I was scared to use any fragrance today, but I swapped for a decant of this, and I just HAD to try it. My eyes are literally rolling into the back of my head because it smells so good.

If any one can respond if a man can wear this ? It's been on my wishlist for the longest and I want to blind buy it because that's the way I buy my fragrances ? Thank you very much 😊
