Calabria

This is a great fragrance! I got turned on to these fragrances by Aromatix Neeb on YT. Needless to say I am a huge fan of these luxury Middle Eastern fragrances. Calabria is a slightly fresh spicy take on the PDM Layton style of fragrance. It's still it's own thing I only used Layton to get you the reader an idea of what direction this fragrance goes. So if you like the Layton DNA you'll like this. This fragrance is loud and lasts forever. I sprayed this on my neck, chest, and arms for a total of 8 sprays. When I tell you this is a beast of a fragrance I mean a BEAST! My staff would walk in my office and ask where that smell is coming from. They asked if I had a scented candle or defuser going. I had this stuff still kicking hard after 12 hours. When I was leaving work after 13 hours several people said that I smelled good in the parking lot. Hour 16, I showered and scrubbed. After that I could still faintly smell it! If you like beastly fragrances this is it right here. TBH. All of these Middle Eastern luxury brands will blow away any Western brand in performance to the point you may not like them afterwards, because of how long they linger. Not me! I'm buying more!!!

Just bought this sexy beast for my husband. He is very picky about his fragrances whereas I will wear tons of different scents. That said, this one immediately passed the test. The first night he wore it out, he got multiple compliments from men and women. People were coming up to our table asking who smells so good. I def get the Layton exclusif vibes but this is way better in my opinion. I would say all the notes listed are spot on. But what I have noticed about gissah scents is that they morph into other scents the longer you wear them. They also all have a beautiful scent trail. I currently own 8 of their bottles and all are the same performance. All that said to say this...Calabria is a sexy sexy scent that will not disappoint. It is an all year round scent and I think all occasion but it is strong so use discretion. It is unisex but leans way masculine to me. 10/10 scent that you def need in ur collection if you want compliments and the ladies to notice.

What a perfect and unique fragrance from this brand. I see some Youtube reviews comparing it to Layton exclusif. I dont think they are similar, however, this might be a very less spicy and more appealing version of Layton exclusif. This opens up with apple and bergamot note, but the profile shines in its dry down. The blend of cashmere, iris, vetiver and patcholi just makes it sooo unique and appealing. Imperial valley is the most popular from the brand (and I truly believe it deserves the hype) but people are sleeping on this one. Its not the most mass appealing but definitely appealing to people who have a trained nose and enjoy a bit of uniqueness. Value for money is obviously there - just like all of Gissah's perfumes. Longevity, projection, sillage and fragrance profile are all top notch. This brand is putting out some quality stuff :)

There is A LOT of hype around this fragrance from Gissah at the moment, and it’s for a bloody good reason! This is perfumery at its finest! There are notes I’m picking up that aren’t listed. Something like red berries or sweet fruit, but also a very smooth and soft Oud. Now, if you’ve ever wondered what REAL CLASSY EXPENSIVE OUD smells like, I would say you have to get your nose on this to find out. If you think you don’t like Oud and can’t wear it in the heat, try this and then tell me different. Some people have likened this to Layton Exclusive, but this stands on its own and is absolutely banging in today’s heat of 38C in Sydney, Australia. I have tried this and Capri from this house and both are absolutely amazing! One of my most complimented fragrances from women.

The initial notes have a slightly feminine touch, but this quickly transitions as the strong burst of green apple mellows and blends with woody accords. Hints of oud emerge, taking the fragrance into a distinctly masculine realm. Fortunately, its longevity is impressive, and I find that it evolves more intriguingly after an hour.

Interesting scent. Feels familiar and a stranger at the same time. It says "Light Fragrance" on the boxes for all of this line of Gissah. Probably a prank?! All of these are beasts. It's a woody Ambery scent for most part with some iris in the background. It has a dab of earthiness to it. Also has some Gissah musk. Each of these niche middle eastern houses seem to have their signature musk that they add to all of their bottles. Overall, and specifically for the price, it's really good. Not sure how one can finish 200ml of it given its strength.

This is no where near close to Layton let alone exclusive, leaving aside that it’s pretty solid on its own. The opening leans a bit feminine to me but soon the heavy fruity burst mellows down to make way for bunch of woody accords including traces of oud and leather even, nosediving straight into the masculine territory. Thankfully it’s a pretty long lasting dna which I feel develops better in its later stages

Smells great, not suitable for hot weather AT ALL, the reviews here are very deceiving, it’s a warm and very strong and spicy perfume, not what I’d use going out in the day, definitely works best at a night out with a cold breeze... too sweet for my taste as well, but it’s okay, I wouldn’t blind buy this tho.

Meh, it's so boring, I genuinely think La Luna is the only heavy hitter from the entire house, maybe Akoya as well but that's also reaching. The entire house is mass appealing scents.

Calabria - another disappointingly cheap and forgettable fragrance from Gissah; this house isn’t making a good impression on me at all. This scent boils down to a clean, powdery floral scent with fruity nuances, but left all creativity and interest at the door. An obnoxious concoction of pink pepper, cashmere and scratchy amberwoods make up the majority of the scent profile giving it this sharp, cheap feel - accompanied by a ludicrously bad take on an Iris accord. It’s powdery, but not in a nice way - and that’s coming from someone who adores powdery fragrances. It’s just boring, I don’t really know what to say about it. It’s so unimaginative and uninspiring that nothing comes to my mind apart from how boring and basic it smells. If you enjoy it then fair enough, it’s not unpleasant, I just feel like wearing a scent like this is a waste of time and personality.

Just a cheap smelling Layton Exclusif wanna be. Smells similar but the ingredients are cheap crap.

On par with imperial valley. They both open up fresh but drydown to a nice woody base that retains some sweetness. Very nice fragrances. Calabria does bare some very slight similarities to ombré leather but it’s got its own unique character from the cashmere wood. People around me also like it. Nice one, Gissah. This reminds me of a fruitier and fresher Ombré leather.
