Mavro

I have had Mavro for a couple of months now. It's a slightly sweet,yet dark woody fresh scent. I have never tried Tygar or vibrato so I'm comparing it as it is. The base is very woody and saffron is dominant with a hint of praline sweetness but not overwhelming, which fits my taste. Personally, I feel like this is a different perfume at night I would always prefer and recommend spraying it during night time or in ACed environments as the cold makes a totally different perfume in a good way.

I am not sure if the people claiming Mavro has poor performers suffer nose blindness or have fakes? For me, this is a sexy mature evening mens fragrance. I put it on before going out at night, and can catch whiffs coming off my neck all night long. The saffron and citruses go very well together, and the praline ads just the perfect kiss of masculine sweetness. This is not a daily wear for me though... Evenings only.

Tygar but spicier and darker overall, quite fresh in the opening and the addition of praline note makes it sexy, love it so far. Performance wise its gissah so it's last a good long time

take that bvlgari tygar, vibrato, ingenious ginger dna, send it to the middle east for 2-3 years and then get him back. Hmm not really sure but this one is probably my favorite about the dna but its not supeeerr close to the other ones and it's not redundant to own this! i wouldn't say it's as versatile as the others though? The spices in this reminds me a lot of oud for greatness or haltane because of the prailine and saffron giving it a bit of sweetness and the cedar gives it and extra woody edge. So for me this is literally like a mix of the best parts of tygar/vibrato + ofg/haltane. super interesting, but idk if i love it. Definetly a head turner and compliment getter, but can't se myself reaching for this too often. Great blend though!!

Dark, opulent, fruity and mysterious, a scent that pushes and pulls. Opening with sparkling cirtussy fruits while a bump of red pepper and saffron wakes you up and gives this potion its needed edge. To round it off the delicious praline and tonka put a sweet bow on the package. It is an intriguing sexy scent that will get compliments. Longevity seemed ok for me, but have read some complaints. It feels like Mavro is cosplaying as ExNihilo The Hedonist on a budget, but immitation is the biggest form of flattery and at this price point, it is a great option for those sultry nights out.

Have not smelled tygar or vibrato yet but if theyre the same scent as mavro then definetely go for this one cuz this one is js cheaper and lasts rly long and projects rly well. Also doesnt smell synthetic. 100% the best gissah ive owned yet.

This is not a exact clone of Tygar or Vibrato.It has some twists.The sweetness of praline note makes it much sexier in my opinion.Mass appealing scent overall.200ml for 90 usd is a very good deal i think.

This was an interesting one for me. I like Vibrato, Tygar, and Aventus, but this one just did not do it for me. It reminded me kind of of a mashup of all three but with a much darker undertone. I get a heavier woodier note to my nose. I’d almost consider it more of a oud note. I tried to wear it on and off for a few months, but it just could not make it into my rotation and it almost had a darker dirty smell compared to some of the other fresh ones that I wear. It’s a nice scent, but just did not work for me. It does have a distinctive Middle Eastern smell to my nose, so if you’re looking for something along the lines of what I described, it will probably be a good mashup for you. I ended up buying the three sample pack, that had rogue and Nardo also. Marvo was really the only one I liked of those, I also tried. Akoyah, but did not care for it. It was a bit too sweet and strong.

Gissah’s Mavro has a pleasant scent at first, but the performance is very weak and fades quickly. For 300 Dirhams, I expected much better longevity. Based on my experience, it did not live up to the impression given at the time of sale. I was also disappointed with the way my complaint was handled. I contacted Gissah over all possible portals and tried to get a solution by returning or exchanging the perfume, but I received no proper resolution or follow-up. Overall, the product and customer service fell far below expectations. I will not be purchasing from Gissah again.

I immediately regret putting this on. It's making my eyes teary due to the heavy citrus scent. I might come back in a while to let you know how it goes

Does not last. It has about 2 hours projection, 3 hours longevity. I love the scent profile, expected gissah couldn't miss but, yeah not worth it.

I’ve had Mavro by Gissah for over a year now. It’s a lovely scent that balances fresh and dark notes really well. Blends well with Bleu de Chanel

Nice smell for 30 minutes, then it is basically gone. For 290 AED, this is pathetic, with terrible performance. I have had cheaper perfumes, eau de colognes and even body sprays perform better. Mavro is easily one of the worst fragrance purchases I have made. What is more disappointing is how confidently Gissah staff claim their perfumes are long lasting. That is exactly what convinced me to buy it. In reality, the perfume performs terribly and does not come close to what was implied at the time of sale. I purchased it from a boutique in Dubai Mirdif City Center on March 2026. The customer service was just as bad. When I went back to return it or exchange it, the staff gave me nothing but excuses. On March 8, the time of sale, the salesperson gave me only the payment receipt, not the detailed one. When I came back on March 13 to return or atleast exchange it for a better performing perfume, the manager said nothing could be done without the detailed receipt. He claimed he would open an investigation and contact me, which never happened. He also sprayed the perfume on a paper strip and said it would be sent to quality control, which felt completely unserious. Days passed with no follow up. I went back to the branch again on March 16 and still got nowhere. I called corporate, and they also promised to contact me, but they did not. When I followed up again, I was simply told the perfume was fine. Gissah sold me a weak perfume, failed to handle the complaint properly, wasted my time, and showed no real accountability. Once they had my money, the service was over. Save your money. There are much better brands out there with better products and far better customer service. This was my first and last purchase from Gissah.

This is good, but it's VERY sweet! Comparing this directly to Limmensite or Tygar/Hedonist/Vibrato is a reach. Imagine that ginger DNA (Tygar and all the adjacent), but a designer version with a lot of added sweetness. It's like you took the overt sweetness of the YSL Y line and added that to a Ginger DNA. I would have bought a bottle, but the toothache needs to be dialed down, and the price in the States is a little high for the quality of materials.

How unique! A fresh fragrance with saffron and praline. In my opinion better than Vibrato. Also lasts well and has a fizzy grapefruit opening. The arabs know how to make good fragrances and also how to make them last. Currently my second favorite scent profile behind imperial Valley

Only similar to Tygar in the opening with the grapefruit but even from the start it smells spicier and darker. It dries down to a sweet, slighty spicy scent. Very strong in the beginning, I get semi nose blind immediately, but it also doesn't last longer than 4-5 hours.

One of my all time favorite scent. This is different from tygar. It has its own personality with very spicy opening and greenish base. Its beautiful. Got 2 200mls of these. Gotta get 2 more.

This is closer to Ex Nihilo the hedonist extrait than Tygar or vibrato due to the sweetness from praline and saffron. Silage is above average. Banger for the price
