Sanad

I spent some time at a Gissah counter in Abu Dhabi a couple of weeks ago and the salesman there was doing the usual thing of spraying every single thing he had on a card to get my to buy something. I was starting to go nose blind and about to walk off but asked him to spray Sanad before I did. I went on my way and kept walking around the mall I was in. It was familiar and I kept sniffing it but I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. I realised it's essentially a combination of Layton and Althaїr with facets of both, the initial citrus/spice blast leans towards Layton but then, further down towards the mid point, a sweetness starts to come through which is reminiscent of Althaїr. Of the two PDM's, Layton is a safer blind buy in my humble opinion. My experience of Althaїr has been mixed, sometimes, I find it can have that sweetened baby wipe smell thing going which isn't ideal for a fragrance that costs £300+ on but if I'm right that Gissah have attempted to combine the two here then it's worked brilliantly! Sanad seems to be hard to come by and I've already seen some sellers on ebay asking for around £160 (approx $215). It's for the individual to decide if that represents value or not but for me, the price in Abu Dhabi was more than acceptable for a fragrance of this quality. If you have an opportunity to try this scent, please do. I'm confident that any PDM fans will enjoy it.
