Accord Particulier

Do you believe in love or lust at first sight? Or first sniff? Yes, it is a cliche. But let's talk about a fragrance that absolutely was love at first sniff for me. Givenchy's La Collection Particuliere's flagship bottle is the quite magnificent Accord Particulier and it is meant from the outset as a layering scent. Ignore the reviews: there is nothing wrong with the performance or projection here and it lasts a solid 7-8 hours on the skin and is the most gorgeous skin scent to boot. Yes it is expensive but it smells incredible. The top is a floral note is a Damascene Turkish Rose extrait hiding coquettishly behind the patchouli in the heart. Here we see nothing less than one of the absolute loveliest uses of vetiver I've ever come across in perfumery. I did wonder if it was The Queen Of Vetiver - the incomparable Nathalie Lorson behind this one. It turns out that yes, it was indeed her. We have some very contemporary fixatives and smoothing agents in the base and again, I challenge you to find a better done Ambroxan accord anywhere than it is here. The blending is just superlative. Truly, let this drydown on your skin, memorise the notes and then take it in: it is breathtaking. As with all of the best fragrances, the notes get nowhere near explaining what it is and what it is intended to be. Givenchy's PR says this is supposed to smell like an extremely high end Parisian hotel and I do get that, absolutely. It is incredibly sexy, unreachably wealthy and refined and somehow still very wearable. If the exciting thing about love and lust is how it makes you feel when you allow yourself to be taken up by it, then you should allow yourself to be all caught up in this fragrance. If ever there was such a thing as a fragrance that was love and lust at first sight, this is it. Incredible stuff. Three Word Summary - A True Masterclass Layering Suggestion: I think you can approach it from a musky direction so use it as a base layer for something like Cedar Chic or possibly Musc Nurasana (in a very small spritz), or you could go down the opposites route and use it as a base layer for Garcon Manque or Enfant Terrible by the same house. My personal tip though is apply it as a complimentary base layer for Tuxedo by YSL. I swear it'll turn your toes up and push your eyes back into the back of your head. Orgasmic. Thank me later. Outfit suggestion: This is a slightly worn, well-loved Mulberry Heritage Clipper weekend holdall bag, filled with formal clothes for dinner out tonight, a bottle of Ruinart, a bottle of Hibiki Japanese Harmony, some toys etc from the-box-we-dont-talk-about and the good underwear. And a bottle of this. Oh yes. Scent - 10/10 Sillage - 9/10 Drydown - 10/10 Bottle/packaging - 9/10 Performance - 7/10 44/50

السلام عليكم ورحمه الله وبركاته عشاق العطره اينما كنتم عطري لهذا اليوم هو من دار الديزاينر الفرنسيه جيفانشي Givenchy من الخط الخاص la particulière تم اصدار العطر سنة 2020 من بين الاكتشافات العطرية المميزة جدا....التي حالفني الحظ....لتجربتها...... عشق من اول رشة......انا شخصيا ...عندما رششت منه على معصمي و شممته....."اللحم تاعي زغّب"......اصابتني القشعريرة 😳🤤😍😍.... رائحة.....راقية.....أنيقة....نظيفة...جميلة جدا..تعطيك احساسا بالرُّقي.... عنبرية....مطعمة بالورد.....تكان لا تحس به بتاتا "اي نوتة الورد" من اجود انواع الامبروكسان التي شممتها الى غاية الآن....ليس بالحاد و لا بالصناعي...رغم كونه نوتة صناعية...بحته..لكنه.....دافئ......و هادئ.....و عميق جدا..... من اجود انواع الباتشولي كذلك..التي جربتها الى غاية الآن فعلى عكس نوتة الباتشولي التي ..نجدها في غالبية العطور خاصة الكلاسيكية منها....فإن هذا العطر يحتويها بطابع ..عصري....متوازن....ليس ترابي ....لا حاد....و لا طاغي....اظنه استعمل بنسبة قليلة ..... صاحب هاذي التوليفة ارفع له القبعة.....🎩🙏👍 العطر اسم على مسمى...accord particulier...أي.."التوافق الفريد" ......مثلما هو ذو رائحة فريدة.....غير مكررة و مقبولة جدا..... رائحةً و آداءا....اذا ان 6 رشات من عبوة التقسيم جعلت حولي فقاعة عطرية....احس بها انا و من حولي..... شبهت العطر قليييلا بديكلاراسيون دان سوار من دار كارتيي....الا ان آكور بارتيكوليي ليس بالعطر التابلي....و لا نوتة الورد ظاهرة فيه بشكل واضح.... لكن يبقى عطرا انيق و جميل...و الأهم من ذلك أنه رجولي بإمتياز ما يعيب على العطر هو سعره المرتفع قليلا..... أكثر من 200 دولار لعبوة 100 ملل.... عشاق التجارب الجديدة و الفريدة كونوا في الموعد..... دمتم في رعاية الله و حفظه....سلام ❤️👍

I’ve tried this randomly at T4 Heathrow when I had time to kill before a flight it. I’m so glad i did. Best thing I’ve ever smelled in my whole entire life, genuinely from the first sniff I felt my pupils dilate. That being said, there’s no projection (skin scent) with short to medium longevity on skin. In my opinion, this is WAY too good to be a skin scent. If this had more projection (not beast mode, just enough to be noticed when someone walks close by) and greater longevity, it would genuinely be the best perfume out there and I’d have thrown my wallet at the vendor on the spot. It’s a fresh, almost sweet, very light rose scent that’s anchored in amber, woodiness and earthiness without turning into dirt at all, it just gives a backbone to the perfume that makes it fresh yet firmly rooted. It’s intimate, inviting, cozy, clean, sexy yet cute—it’s perfect. However given the lack of projection and shorter longevity, I can’t justify such an expense. I really hope a house reworks the DNA into something slightly stronger with greater longevity.

Very good elegant mature quite sexy type of scent. for a male i picture a man in a nice suit doing business/meetings/special occasion but the huge problem in this fragrance is the longevity, i feel like after 30 minutes and sometimes less, out of a sudden the fragrance scent disappears and that is really unfortunate because, the scent of the fragrance is amazing that rose note is phenomenal. moreover the fragrance itself doesn't justify the amount of money that givenchy asks for, basically not worth the money type of fragrance, it has a very disappointing performace of longevity and sillage.

I absolutely love this and I love mixing it with other fragrances to create something even more gorgeous even though it’s great on its own! Rose, Vetiver, patchouli but the patch is in the background the real star is the ambrox to me! I use this as a “primer” for my fragrances. Meaning I put it on first or over top my fragrance of the day when I want something different. This smells absolutely gorgeous! Definitely unisex, perfect for all seasons and occasions. Very versatile! I would definitely give it a try it’s very underrated and it’s lovely!

It smells like Nathalie Lorson though the perfumer was not mentioned here. Nobody blends ambrox as well as she does. Super duper amazing - nowhere as synthetic and screechy as those overrated single-molecule perfumes which I don’t really care for. This would have been a great hit if it was released by another house, perhaps Le Labo, instead of Givenchy. Instantly bought a full bottle because I don’t think there’s anything else like this in the market (and please don’t tell me JHAG or DS&D - nothing similar!)

It's very molecule 01 but better blended. Nice to mix for enhancing other fragrances or wearing alone. It's a clean, t-shirt and jeans; everyday all seasons, lounge day, run errands skin scent. GAP just smells good on and its not wowing, it's simple and good. Totally would recommend for the minimalist. I found eccentric 01/molecule 01 to smell like dryer sheets, for 70 bucks just wash and dry your clothes. This retails for more, but I find the bougie juice worth the bougie squeeze!

Yeah, it’s expensive, but the way this perfume blends into your skin. After 5 minutes your own nose won’t detect it, but everyone around you will. It’s elegant and really good for layering, but it’s also lovely on its own - it smells like your own skin but enhanced. I don’t smell the rose, on me it leans more sandalwood. I’m going to be layering this for summer with fig and bergamot and for fall with pink pepper, cardamom and ginger.

I love it. just the right balance, an androgynous scent, better on clothes, lasts but sits close to the skin, had good longevity with this one when worn in the evening. great for layering, light and fresh enough for the heat and rich for the cooler days. it smells really nice in the air vs up close sniffs. I layered this with zegna oud and also with guerlain epices exquices. it was really good

I went through great pains to get this fragrance after i sampled it at Doha airport. It’s not easy to find unless you are in countries where givenchybeauty.com is approved.....I believe i’ve finally found the fragrance that defines me. It works better on clothes than skin, but the smell is just majestic. I’ve heard layering produces magic but i like it as it is on it’s own to be honest.

it tends towards the masculine side but it gives a very sophisticated woman as well! I wouldn't say it's a daily scent at all the patchouli note could be overpowering in workplaces. i feel like another 13 is the light version of it

A signature scent for me over the years. Layers well with Byredo Mojave Ghost for an extra punch.

Could be the best smell I’ve ever encountered!

A top note that emerges quietly. Ambroxan takes centre stage, creating a dry, transparent quality that unfolds close to the skin. There is almost no sweetness, with a texture leaning slightly towards the mineral. It spreads, blurring its contours, like air warmed by the heat. In the heart, woody nuances overlap, adding a slight depth. Rather than coming to the fore, the scent tends to blend with the skin. There is no significant change through to the drydown, which persists evenly. The clean, dry finish characteristic of ambroxan lingers. The sillage is understated, giving the impression of remaining within one’s personal space at all times. The longevity is relatively long, but it is the sort that lingers as a subtle presence. Rather than a perfume, it has the texture of a record of a presence that has melted into one’s body heat.

I went into a Givenchy store and smelled something amazing in the air. I asked one of the salespeople what it was and they told me it was Accord Particulier. I went to Givenchy’s website and ordered it. When I got it, I sprayed it on and I was overjoyed. It was superb. But an hour later, I couldn’t smell it. I thought maybe I had just gotten used to it quickly, but no. My gf couldn’t smell it either. This scent is so weak. How can you charge over $300 for something with this kind of performance? While I love the fragrance, the performance is abysmal. The smell gets a 10, the performance/ spillage gets a 4.

A more complex, less blunt, Not a Perfume (Juliette Has A Gun). Imagine the JHAG with rose, vetiver, and a modern patchouli and there you have it. It’s abstract, woody and floral, all at once, and wears like a second skin. Can’t speak on its longevity yet, as it’s only been a few hours but it seems to be humming right along. It doesn’t have much throw or sillage, so if that’s important to you, you’re likely to be disappointed. However, if elegant, musky minimalism is your thing, this might be just the ticket. A full bottle is in my immediate future.

I’ve got only sample but it’s synthetic-fantastic. I can’t stop sniffing it. It reminds me Noise Ephemera by Unsound quite a bit

It smells gorgeous Rose and ambroxan mainly But it’s weak Yes it is a better idea than the molecule scent As well as with better quality But both the price and performance ruins the experience It’s my first testing from the high end givenchy scents and I think there might be a gem or two in the collection

Smells like elegance, yes... but only for five minutes. Then it vanish. On clothes it stays, but on skin? Like water. For this price, I expect magic.. not silence Nice idea, but too soft. Too safe. Feels like it’s trying to be mysterious, but ends up invisible. Much better options for half the price.

First of all, I love this house so much but I did not expect such a bad work with this line saying that because I was very happy to smell them and to buy some of them, I have found them early of this month at the counter of Givenchy and I try them two times, shock shock shock !!!!!!!!! nothing special in this line is nothing to do with L ATELIER DE GIVENCHY there is no creativity and at the same time they are fooling the clients with cheap perfumes with high prices, sorry Givenchy I have to be so rough at this time because you are my favorite house and it's such a shame to do such this work because you are a big brand in the world. this perfume is super iso like eccentric molecule 01 without the woody note, nothing special and it's bad in general big shock for me. sorry, there is no rate I can do.

Smells amazing on a tester strip, turns to a skin scent in the summer in 10 minutes. Supposedly this was meant to be layered. Given the price tag, its a solid pass. Even if the pricetag was lower, it'd still be frustrating. EDIT: I have been noticing better performance than I initially recognized. One would need to spray a little more but the longevity is strong and the sillage is fair. This is by no means a projection Ace but it isnt bad. For the $, it definitely isnt a great value but I appreciate the scent enough to warrant the full bottle that I ended up buying after all.

It seems chemical industry made musky-woody molecules that stay days on clothes, minutes on skins. Spray your shirt and you will smell a wonderful perfume changing from rose-pepper-patchouli to white musk. Spray your skin and you will just smell the first phase for some hours, then it will disappear...until you meet water. Take a shower, enter a pool and...voilà, the white musk. Funny.

Absolutely gorgeous scent, stays on fibres/clothes for a longer than skin. Opening woody, like older Dior hommes (1970-80)! Settling down very comfortable sweet cinnamonic aura. I bought once again a full monty duplicate oil with eternal performance from middle east like 40 bug 50ml😉

Very beautiful. A little too masculine for me, but otherwise an elegant, subtle, yet long-lasting scent. Going to play with layering this with my other roses and will write more later about how it does as a fixative.

This has to be one of the best perfumes I’ve ever smelt. Flawless. I also don’t understand or see the comparisons to Oud&Bergamot from Jo Malone.

The weakest perfume that exists, having smelt close to +500, it straight up goes to a skin scent after 1 minute. Absolutely ridiculous.
