Ange Ou Demon Le Secret (2014)

Holy Grail. This all happened so fast, and changed the game on fragrances completely for me. I just picked up a bottle yesterday from Dillard's and I am immediately hooked. I want to fill a swimming pool up with gallons of this stuff and swim in it forever until I die. I am usually a sickeningly sweet gourmand/sugar fan. I don't mean Prada Candy-esque or Armani Si, I mean Viva La Juicy and Hanae Mori Butterfly, direct fruity sugar blast. Most of my life, I've opted out of the fancier, more mature perfumes because there was just something delicious missing in them, in my opinion. Since I am now in my 30s (And also because I've been somewhat lost ever since they changed Hanae Mori Butterfly to be too heavy on Sandalwood, when it was my signature since I was 18 years old), I've begun to explore other options, starting with Flowerbomb, moving towards the Chanels & Miss Diors (which I do like for some more serious occasions, business meetings, etc), but then FINALLY, THIS GEM. Ange Ou Demon Le Secret is the bridge that filled the void between juicy sugary sweet & mature but sexy & yummy. I don't know how they do it, it's so complex and elegant, yet mouth watering-delicious at the same time. It is the absolutely perfect thing I have been looking for. It works amazingly well with my body chemistry, better than how it smells on a tester, and in a way that I cannot even describe in comparison to the notes listed. I was actually shocked to read the notes afterwards because I was truly stumped on what they put in there. When I first spray it on, it smells like lemons with a hint of tea for a couple seconds - which is very nice & energizing, although I would never want to smell like lemon unless I am cleaning something in my kitchen or using a facial cleanser. Immediately following, I get this amazing scent on my body, and I have never experienced such a quick dry-down that is consistent in scent until it wears completely off - I don't know how to describe it other than soft white leather, if leather were a fruity candy. It's not too sweet, and it's not too musky. I am so happy that I randomly tried this in person before reading the notes, because I would NEVER have known, and the notes actually in this are usually things I try to stay away from. For me, the lasting power is all day (and I live in the desert), but I have also been layering it with the body lotion that came in the gift set, so that might be why. Ange Ou Demon Le Secret is the perfect balance I've been seeking forever - sharp, sugary, sweet, sexy. If sex were a food, it would smell like this. I am sure we will all get different results via body chemistry, but my body chemistry is usually very picky and weird with fragrances (a lot of perfumes tend to sour on me or end up smelling like plastic, waxy, old stale lipstick, or too powdery/losing their bite). This is the most absolutely consistent AND complex perfume I have ever experienced in my life, enough to finally after decades, invite a new signature scent into my life :)

In the top we have tea leaf, cranberry, lemon, grapefruit and orange. And in the first few seconds the fragrance opens up with a beautiful citrucy and a bit fruity, more like red fruits scent but also followed by the tea leaf note which is uplifting and invigorating, just perfect for hot summer or a tropical vacation. It’s a beautiful fresh and fruity composition in the beginning with a lot of green tea note that give a bright and greenish type of vibe. It feels light but very present for quite some time, it doesn’t fade away quickly, so you can enjoy these notes for some time till the middle notes make their presence. I honestly love the opening very much. It’s so well blended with a very summery vibe and it doesn’t feel generic or boring at all. In the middle there are jasmine sambac, peony, water lily, rose and hedione. The most I get from the florals is hedione, which I absolutely love but also some very few jasmine and rose. I almost do not get any water lily nor peony unfortunately, which are also one of my favourite notes in fragrances but here they are in very small traces and almost unnoticeable. The rose is very tender and fresh, and it combines very nicely with the fresh and white floral note of jasmine. This is a very beautiful floral composition that blends in very nicely with the citrucy slightly sweet top notes. They compliment each other very nicely. In the base we have a few beautiful notes like white musk, white woods, patchouli, amberwood and vanilla. Once the fragrance starts to dry down, I can first feel the amberwood and patchouli that give a woody and slightly earthy vibe to it but then it is followed by musk and vanilla (and there is very few vanilla here) and these two notes just smoothen the entire composition and give it a soft and attractive, slightly powdery and green-earthy slightly sweet type of vibe. Thanks to this base the scent stays on my skin for a decent amount of time. I love wearing this scent in hot summer days as it gives me a boost of energy as it is fresh and uplisting and fruity at the same time. CONCLUSION: In conclusion, if you’d like to have a boost of energy and feel an uplisting, fruity and fresh type of scent all at the same time in a hot summer day, then this fragrance is the right one. It is not boring as it develops throughout the entire its performance. PERFORMANCE: And speaking about the performance, the longevity of this fragrance is very good as it stays on my skin around 8 hours if I apply 6-10 sprays. The sillage and projection are also very good as I get a lot of compliments when wearing it. So, I’d give it a strong 8, maybe 8.5 thanks to its blend of the ingredients and their quality but also to its performance. If I’d have to buy it again, I’d definitely do it and would buy at least 2 bottles that much I love it.

Givenchy is probably my favorite next to Chanel. While I find most Chanel perfumes timeless and classy, they are not easy to wear for me. Sometimes they're too sharp, sometimes too heady. I do love some, like Venise, Gardenia or No5, but they don't speak to me like Givenchy creations. I love the perfect crispiness of Givenchy D'Amarige Extravagance, it's one of my favorites. I love L'Interdit, not for myself, but it's great. I adore simplicity of Eau de Givenchy, the juiciness of Hot Couture both EDP and EDT and God, I how much I regret not buying Le Bouquet Absolu while it was still on the market! It was absolutely perfect. Well, most of Givenchy perfume make me smile, even if I can't wear all of them. But I have to say, Ange ou Demon Le Secret is probably the best creation of Givenchy I ever came across. To me it smells like a jasmine tea with juicy rose petals, served on a sunny day that makes everything calm and beautiful. It's such a happy, memorable scent. I kept it in my memory for years, actually. It was a scent my best friend loved and she was wearing since it came out. I was in love with this perfume but never intended to buy it - it was "her" scent, it was perfect for her. Then it was reformulated and she noticed a change. But this reformulated version is juicier, happier and even more beautifully crafted than the previous one. It is everything I was looking for in a scent - soft, floral, watery, feminine, not strong but noticeable for others. Build of my favorite notes. Elegant, timeless and not comparable to anything else on the market. It is so unique. My favorite moment is when the fresh, juicy jasmine tea with citruses turn into a peony-rose drydown that seems to be full of light and sun. I think it suits both day and night, jeans and a dress, spring and winter. It's a mood lifter for sure. Damn, this perfume is beautiful. I ordered a few samples of other scents in my search for a signature scent but for now, this is my number one and I would be surprised if anything could win my heart more than this one.

Since I find this and the older formulation so similar, I have decided to add an edited version of that review to this page. This fragrance is one of my favourite spring fragrances. It opens as a bright and fruity tea. Both the lemon and cranberry gove it a strong tartness, but there is a pleasant sweetness as well. I find the sweetness grows as it dries down. A lot of the sweetness seems to come from the patchouli, which is a a clean and green patchouli that pairs quite nicely with the tea note. There is only a hint of the original Ange ou Demon EDP in this flanker. I notice it, but I have to look for it. All of the darkness and depth from the original was left out of this one. This one could have been simply called Ange, there is no demon in this bottle. I have had excellent performance with Ange Ou Demon Le Secret. It lasts 8-10 hours on skin and even longer on clothes. It has solid projection, a little beyond arms length for about half of the wear time. For the rest of the wear it stays pretty close to the skin. This is a warm weather fragrance for me. I love the tart, juiciness in the opening on a warm day, or when I want to imagine a warm day. I own both this formula (as pictured) and the older one. This review is for the newer formulation. I do find there is minimal difference between them though. The older one has a slightly deeper and more rounded sweetness, while this formula is lighter and more tart. I smell little difference in the dry down with the older formula being a little more patchouli heavy. The performance is pretty similar with this one not lasting quite as long and having a little less projection, but both are pretty long lasting. I don't find them different enough to hunt down one bottle over the other, but if they are both available for the same price, I would choose the older one. I kinda hate the caps on all the Ange ou Demon bottles. They fit poorly. They are also a little awkward to recap, they have to sit just right but the difference between the front and back of the cap is pretty subtle.

Opens with a tart yet sweet cranberry, a refreshing tea note, and sparkling lemon. The florals are well done .. not screechy and enhanced by the top notes. The base notes are very light ... In my opinion, AoD Le Secret (2014) is all top notes, from beginning to end. It’s pretty quiet after 3-4 hours; projection fades as well, starting off strong and bright and becoming a comforting fruit-tea skin scent towards the end of wear. The cranberry is really what sells this whole fragrance ... it is superbly done. At first, it’s tart, but it’s never overpowering or sour. With wear, it gets sweeter and turns into a juicy grape-like note .. but it’s never cloying or screechy. If you’re not a fan of fruity or sweet fragrances, give this one a try. Ultimately, I guess that would be my suggestion to anyone about this fragrance, even if you’re iffy on any of the notes .. Give it a try. I hope you’ll love it as much as I do. (As an aside, I have tried the older formulation and much much much prefer this version. The older one was screechy, sharp, and not as mellow and lovely as this one.)

I was gifted this as a Christmas present a long time ago and it instantly became my signature scent. It works perfectly with my skin chemistry and creates a cloud of sweet tarty florals. it gives a strong tea aroma- but the light fragrant tea like the first whiff of a freshly opened can of loose leaf. It’s fantastic and I always get a million compliments on it, also happens to be my fiancés absolute favourite scent on me. So much so that he even uses it sometimes and dare I say it works beautifully as a unisex perfume. On him the citrusy notes become more pronounced and it smells more gourmand but none the less very intriguing and he’s also received compliments while wearing it. It also lasts for ages on my skin, I would say it’s eternal as I can smell it on myself even days after I’ve applied it. This perfume is just a complete success if it matches your skin chemistry.

I went to Sephora to try two particular perfumes and ended up covered with many. Of course, they all mixed up, and 2 hours later, I could feel one gorgeous scent, but forgot which one was that. Fortunately, i took also paper samples which I labeled, and back home, I founded out that it was the one I least expected - Ange Ou Demon Le Secret. It is a long time that I loved some perfume like this one. I am not going to elaborate the notes, everything is well balanced, just soooo beautiful. The love was so instant, that I almost bought the biggest bottle right away. Instead, I order a sample, just to be safe with my chemistry. Longevity seams to be quite good, and can not wait to own this gem. It is feminine, fruity, fresh, sexy and classy, simply beautiful.

I bought this perfume as a blind purchase. I seen it reviewed on Instagram as a seductive perfume. I received it in the mail and loved it. Definitely a great blind purchase. It’s a very soft green, slightly citrus with just a tad bit of sweetness and light floral scent. Definitely smelled the tea, which gives it that green scent. To be honest, you smell a little bit of everything in this perfume. I wouldn’t say this is seductive. It’s not strong enough nor warm enough. I think it’s a good perfume, but to be seductive, I think the sillage should be a little bit more stronger. If you just want the person next to you to smell it, this will make a great perfume. I would even wear this to work because it’s really not overbearing at all, it’s very subtle.

I coveted Ange ou Dèmon Le Secret primarily because of the water lily...I just love anything with my favorite flower in it. Having said that, I really don't have any expectations from this fragrance at all. But...I was pleasantly surprised! What can I say? The idea of Jasmine tea is BRILLIANT! I'm getting orange blossom sweetness tempered by aquatic florals and some woods. A little strange as orange blossom is not listed in the pyramid but it doesn't really matter. This scent is very alluring; borderline ADDICTIVE! Ange ou Dèmon? Definitely ANGEL on me with its light and airy, almost ethereal characteristic. Sillage is modest and lasts for over 7 hours on my skin. Price tag's definitely worth it. Would recommend to fresh fragrance lovers like me.

To whoever just casually mentioned this somewhere as a forgotten gem of a tea fragrance: thank you so, so much!! This smells awesome and refreshing, like an uplifted version of an Elizabeth Arden Green Tea line fragrance that lasts WAY longer (especially on clothes) and has a pleasant summery vibe. It's not at all sweet or cloying like all the fruits & vanilla would make you think, the lemon and cranberry notes are actually quite tart and go well with the slight bitterness of the green tea. It's definitely an iced tea vibe and not a hot tea. But I love it! I got a travel size decant initially and was so smitten when I smelled it I immediately ran out and grabbed a full size. (Well. Ordered one.)

This perfume is one of my first loves, and one I could never live without. There is something so special about this fragrance, and I doubt my review will do it justice. The cranberry citrus opening is delightfully sour, but not sharp. It's a delicious fresh watery cranberry citrus. That sourness fades to become a beautiful bright and uplifting orange floral scent. There is something in this fragrance that makes it bright and airy... almost sparkling. It smells sophisticated, classy, and carefree. Although it is not a heavy scent, it does project, and I always get compliments when I wear it. Great for all seasons. A perfect everyday signature scent. Wish it was all mine. Perfect.

Lovely fruity floral that feels casual, relaxed and fun. Fresh berries and gentle no sour citrics meld with soft low key florals and a clean, restrained patchouli/wood frame for a soothing, warm, friendly hug sort of feeling. A bit of amber, a touch of clean musk round it out....sweet but not sickeningly sweet. Easy to wear, easy to live in, no pressured pull together comfy jeans and a cozy sweater kind of wear. Day or night is ok for this. A little too thick on me for really hot weather but nice in chilly spring/fall/winter. A little flirtatious, but no hard tack vixen here. This is a soft touch approach. Nicely done. I like it.

I love it so much, one of my favorites and I actually credit Le Secret for opening the doors to me becoming a fan of perfumes. From the intriguing name to the stunning bottle, I was immediately drawn to it and even before taking my first whiff I knew I would love it, that this was the one for me. And I was right. I don't even know how to describe it except to say it is refreshing and feminine and always puts me in a good mood. So the fact it doesn't last more than a couple hours just simply breaks my dang heart. Still this will always be a special one for me, and I will certainly buy it again once it runs out.

It's my big looove since it was released. Very unique-jasmin-green tea scent-huge compliments getter. Fresh &sweet but not cloying. I have never met anything similiar. The only one problem is poor projection & longevity which is comparable to body mist...Very close to the skin scent- you need to overspray yourself every two hours to smell anything..., 100ml bottle lasts for one month, well...quite expensive for what you get...I used to layer it with Ange ou Demon le secret elixir to make it last longer -it’s not produced anymore but you can still get It on ebay

After having tested this perfume quite a couple of times, I decided I had to have it. Honestly, one of the best perfumes I have ever smelled. It's great because it's sour, sweet/fruity, fresh and green at the same time, which makes it very wearable for people of pretty much all ages imo. What I love most about this perfume is that it's so versatile, you get a bit of everything. I can smell the different accords at the same time, which makes it a more exciting perfume and thus sooo worth the price. And of course the bottle is so pretty.

I completely love this. It’s just lovely. My husband really loves it on me also. I’ve only worn it in cold weather, and I think it could be perfect in all seasons. Very fresh and beautiful and warm. No particular note stands out to me most, but I do get a clean patchouli and the woody notes blending with the fresh, clean citrus and tea, and the berry has a little sweet/little sour, which is so nice. The florals are more supporting roles. It’s all blended beautifully, and it’s an inviting fragrance. I think it’s simply delicious.

My first perfume that I directly choose. This is the first conscious purchase of perfume. And it was a very mature scent for me at that time. But I'm glad. This is a wonderful evening scent, it has confidence, calm, sensual elegance. The floral notes play well on a dense base: the aroma is not too heavy or sharp, and not cloying. The big sad thing is that these perfumes were lost a year ago when my house was being renovated. An irreparable loss.

I love this scent so much. This is lemony cranberry tea leaf, through and through. There’s depth to it with the other notes but those three are the most prominent. The tea leaf gives a bit of an herbal hint yet it’s very fresh and delightful. Perfect for spring and summer days and nights, since white florals mix with the woods and again that tea leaf. If you found Tom Ford’s Jasmin Rouge too expensive, in your face and one-dimensional, try this.

Beautiful scent. Perfect for summer but universal. It has a smooth start with tea being the only note I recognize upon inspecting the melange :) It is similar to Pour Elle Annayake but more jasminy which makes it sultry and even prettier. It is gentler but richier to its eau de toilette version which has a fresh, loud and fruity start. In todays heat 31°C she is a blessing, taking my mind into pleasant freshness, I immediately felt more agile.

Me pareció casi igual al original, pero más fresca; así es que me quede con la versión nueva. Este comienza con olor cítrico mezclado con arándanos, muy dulce!! pero, luego esa dulzura se suaviza y viene el té y el jazmín, para mi gusto el té es la nota principal y le da mucha frescura. El pachuli, cero, no se siente, y si tiene un toque amaderado, pero suave. Su duración unas 8,10 horas y su proyección moderada.

I absolutely love this fragrance. I have both Le secret and Elixir (the purple one), which sweeter and a bit overwhelming. Le secret is a youthful yet sophisticated scent. It makes me think of a young woman running in a green field. I always get a lot of compliments whenever I wear it; it's fresh and it makes a statement without being overpowering. This fragrance always takes me back to happy memories. Love it.

I love this fragrance. Cranberry-lemon tea in a mystic shop is the vibe this fragrance gives me and my husband says it fits me well. Lol Cranberry is an underutilized note, imo! And the cranberry in this lasts throughout the majority of this fragrance. It's fresh and interesting and a little sexy. The tea note takes a backseat in this one but it's still there. Can't beat the performance for the price.

I had a sample first before getting a full bottle. For me it always smelled like peaches. Mellow, fruity but not acidic, sweet note. It’s reminiscent to peach ice tea with citrus/sourness removed. It has the tartness a tea does. It’s clean, but soft. It doesn’t smell like it could be soap or a shower gel. It’s one of my favorites. Lovely scent with a lovely bottle and lovely commercials

Tried this in the mall. I like the tea and cranberry note, especially. Peony and lemon shine in there, too. It gets a bit muskier on drydown, but blends so nicely with my own skin chemistry . Otherwise a non-overpowering, expensive perfume. I could not stop thinking about it after trying it. A dear friend of mine gifted me a sample. This is THE luxurious, understated feminine perfume.

Even though I don't wear it every day and it's not my signature, but I absolutely can call it the most favorite fragrance in my collection. I don't see any demons here, but I can very clearly imagine an angel who brings the freshness of true paradise with the rustle of his wings. Ange sparkles with the sourness of citrus and cranberries. This is a cool green tea that can cheer up.

I blind bought it due to positive reviews and I love it. Fortunatelly for me there is more fruits in the opening than tea leafes. I can smell more orange than lemon which is also great. Silage is the only issue I can have with it. I think I was drawn to this scent also due to colour of the bottle - I often wear morganite ring and the bottle reminds me of this color. Coincidence?

I love this fragrance , it has this spring freshness with a warm dry down . I found it to be of quality , and have been wearing AoD le secret collection for a few years now. This is delightful , bright , a light and stylish scent ! This my favourite for spring / summer ! Even so I now prefers and swapped for the Ange Ou Demon Le secret, L' Eau De Toilette !

It might not be groundbreaking, but it’s absolutely lovely, clean, uplifting, and just the ticket for warm days. I’m especially fond of the way the tea and citrusy notes mingle; it’s refreshingly elegant without trying too hard. It’s not particularly sexy, but it works perfectly well for daily wear. Effortlessly charming in its own right.

I absolutely love this! Just blind bought a bottle and am hooked. My husband said it smells sweet but spicy, which I would agree. I feel like you could wear this easily anytime in spring or summer but also during the day in fall and possibly winter. The bottle is also quite lovely! 9/10 compared to my favorite Chance Chance Eau Tendre :)

Right now is too cold for this where I live. But I have put this on my Summer Perfumes for 2023 Wishlist and will definitely get a full-size bottle as I have almost gone through all my Travel size decant. I really like this one, refreshing, citrusy, clean and sexy, perfect for everyday wear during hot weather and safe for any ocassion.

Mad love. I just received my order, and am basking in generous spritzes of this amazing delightful fragrance! It's going to knock something off of my "favorite 5" list for sure. It might even become my signature scent eventually. Givenchy really knocked it out ofth park. Mad, mad love for this creation!

Got this for Valentines day from my Husband. It wasn't love at first sniff, but it quickly grew on me!! I absolutely LOVE it!!! I love the woods and musk mixed with the cherries and tea leaves. It's great to wear to the office because it is very light. I only wish it lasted longer!

My boyfriend got me this as a present! It smells mature, this is how I picture wearing it; on a morning walk with a sundress, on the way to church, or on a garden picnic. It not too sweet, it smells like a smart and good girl lol lots of floral notes but a subtle spice to it.

This is one of my favorite perfumes. It's a slightly sweet, fresh, fruity floral with an aromatic quality that makes even the wood and patchouli dry down smell effervescent. It's one of the few perfumes that I think works equally well in the summer as it does the winter.

Smells like you are drinking a jasmine lemon green tea! So refreshing, easy reach, I can re-spray 10 times and never get tired of it! Longevity is ok, 3 hours on me, but if i layer i with a citrus fragrance oil it performs better A Must -have summer freshy!

I love this fragrance. It smells like those perfume sprays that used to be inside cosmopolitan magazine on the fold outs. Fresh, fruity and clean. A safe blind buy and crowd pleaser. I’m not above a generic designer frag. This is a good staple!

This is just as good as the original. A little bit stronger, but I don't mind. Soft, tender, fresh and strong at the same time. There's just a little bit more lemon. Very nice green scent. Amazing masterpiece!

If I think of the perfect fragrance, AoD le secret comes to my mind. Floral, aquatic, femenine and long lasting. I wore this for my wedding day because it makes me feel special, but it can work anytime.

This is a truly beautiful fragrance. Fresh, clean and quite captivating. Contrary to some comments below, for me it lasts a long time and has great projection. I will always own a bottle of this one.

This is such a sunny, cheerful fragrance. Lots of citrus, tea, jasmine, cozy amber, and beautiful memories. The name is not suitable, as there is nothing angelic or demonic about this fragrance.

The cranberry/citrus/ tea opening adds something to an otherwise fairly generic, soft floral - overall very nice. Clean, fresh, well-blended. Easy reach, pretty, appropriate in any situation.

Lemon iced tea, with a hint of cranberry. It is refreshing, tart, alittle floral it is super feminine and clean. This is a safe blind buy and a great summer/spring scent!

All about feminine freshness, I love it! And the bottle is even more beautiful! :-) Little disappointment, it doesn't last so long. But who cares?! Addiction. ;-)

Beautiful scent. Very classy and feminine. It slightly reminds me of Omnia Indian Garnet. A gorgeous fresh floral. Recommended.
