Chypre Caresse

Beautiful lemony fragrance. It can be called charming freshness. Honestly, it is the most wonderful chypre scent I've tested so far! Tender, subtle and totally enchanting. Base notes are warmer, but patchouli is very delicate, barely recognizable. A scent for great ladies.

I first tried this in a department store in Milano, it was a stand out for me but the whole Givenchy collection was impressive. Anyway, I loved the light floral sweetness and lemon - not acidic or sharp, but fresh and very alluring. The lemon is utterly unique and I love it, I wouldn't usually say I like citrus scents. I find coco mademoiselle harsh for first couple of hours. My boyfriend loved it, kept smelling my wrist and saying wow... he offered to buy it for me but I prefer to wait awhile. It did last well on my skin but didn't project far. I tried it whenever I travelled and now finally it's available in my country and I bought it on duty free. Pricey yes but I think I love it enough to justify it. I'm looking forward to wearing it a lot. It doesn't have it listed in the notes but I get a slight tea vibe ( white tea? Jasmine? Not sure)

It is said the sincerest form of flattery is to copy/ape an original. This is a very light and bright offering, it smells very very very similar to Coco Mlle - in fact it seems like a direct copy (on my skin anyway) and given the hefty price of Chypre Caresse (£140 from Harrods) I would suggest stick with Chanel's offering as this is not a showstopper. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty and feminine but it's not different enough to be in the "wow factor" section of the store - unless you're looking at the price of course!

A bland citrusy and flowery concoction with an abysmal performance. It is obsolete from Givenchy to put this on the market for more than 50 USD.

to my nose this is as beautiful as brgamont can be ..when i read the name chypre i thought of the old school chypree perfumes from the 70ies but this is nothing like that maybe only the fresh aspect the brightness of a chypree..this is i think what i was looking for for quite some time now..its so light crisp clean almost a cologne that can be unisex it does have that old fashioned lemony cologne vibe but with a modern twist with vibrant zest lime accords its so refreshing so exuberant so vibrant and alive its perfect for summer heat and for humid weather its a lemon that actually lasts a feminine lime a sophisticated finer lime with a tench of white woods accords..chpree is an olofactive group that means Cyprus in french and its usually an accord of begemont and oakmoss sometimes with the addition of labednum and patchouli and lavender its a sharp distinctive scent that is so vibrant more on the masculine side we see so many more mens fragrances as chpree ..it emerged in the 1920 ies and many mens iconic fragrances such as dior au sauvage and the ladies diorama dioressence and diorling all fall under the chypree umbrella what i like about this new chpree creation is its vibrancy and everecence quality yet wit an opulent and somehow velvety luminous feel..the bergemont lasts its not just a fleeting moment of those ten twenty mintues w get from regular citrucy top notes from perfumes this is a bergemonts oak moss dry woodsy succulent crispy clean accord that lasts for a good 3 to 4 hours or more..its addictive i have a sample that i am just sniffing and smelling and actually putting inside my nostrils its so lemony more lime bergemont like its so hmmm clean french french chypree and just a hint sweet when it starts to dry down a hint mellow and serene its an amazing summer fragrance..but the price is pretty hefty 270 us $ for a 100 ml edp can i convince myself to buy this for a bergemont cologne...?!

In 2014, while I stayed in Paris for a week, I tried a perfume at Sephora’s on Champs Élysées. The kind rep gave me a generous sample, and a little pink scented pastille imbibed with the fragrance. I took it back with me in Canada and finished the sample pretty quickly. I never wrote down the name of it, and it wasn’t written on the sample that I had. I searched for it for years, with « pastille scented Paris launch » and never found it. Well this week I landed on this fragrance at Fragbuy and decided to blind buy it based on the color of cap and the year it was produced. I finally found my Parisian Love!

Beautiful, unisex citrus/white floral fragrance that simply smells expensive. Unique yet very versatile and agreeable/safe. The biggest downside is its lasting power. I have NO CLUE how people have given this a "Very long lasting" longevity, I get a few (1-3) hours max and constantly need to reapply. Nevertheless, I enjoy wearing this fragrance in warmer weather from spring to fall. Is it worth the money you might ask ($235 USD or $310 CAD ish)? Possibly, it was for me, and if you love the scent get it, but its lasting power is far from Tom Fords equivalent private blend collection.

I agree with Scentmad. The main difference vs Coco M-lle is the subtle presence of a lemony/citrusy note - but that's it. And the projection and longevity is quite small - I could barely smell it on my wrist an hour post application. Better save your money.

Unimpressive scent, shallow lemon is all I get. Its slippery disappearance after only one hour confirmed my experience.

Great citrus , but puff and gone in 15 minutes, not even on clothes , let along on the body !
