Dahlia Divin Nude Eau de Parfum

The apricot is very sweet and strong for the first couple of minutes! Top notes: Fruity apricot and spicy orange citrus Heart notes: Sweet, creamy floral accords of Jasmine and Osmanthus Base Notes: Warm white musk <3 Feminine, for 'all' ages. Dahlia Divin is especially particular to one's body chemistry. I think it would be one of the more popularly devise perfumes if it had more power to actually project the lovely thing. Nude is perfectly named, it stays close to the skin all day, but unless someone's nose is within an inch of where you sprayed it- don't expect any compliments. PERFECT FOR: Close encounters with strangers and acquaintances. Or, people that like the mythos behind Flowerbomb and La Vie est Belle but think it needs to calm down. ON THE TESTER STRIPS: Dahlia Divin + flanks were all very spicy with a synthetically sweet smell that overpowered any floral notes. However, I liked the spiciness of it enough to keep smelling and then noticed that it was 50% off for all Dahlia Divin. (Admittedly, I was pretty motivated to like it after that) Just like many before me have said, Nectar was too syrupy sweet, so it was between the original and Nude. In the end, I (and my partner) preferred Nude for its lighter (floral) composition. I happily bought Nude for 50% off feeling no pressure to *love* it. On paper, Nude is synthetically fruity with a subtle musk in the background for some intrigue. I never would have bought that at full price. On me, however, this baby is quite the opposite! ON ME: Imagine a sweetness powerful in the same way that vanilla is, but without being vanilla. Instead, the sweetness goes floral and is kept warm and spicy with an intoxicating musk. What I smell on my skin when I wear Nude seems to be what those who love Flowerbomb describe; a seemingly perfect blend of floral and gourmand carried by a warm musk. Unfortunately...This sucker has NO sillage. It actually does have decent longevity. +4 hours in my day I'll still catch sudden whiffs of the lovely scent. But, your nose has to get pretty damn close in order to get all the olfactory that I just described. I LOVE warm and creamy compositions and this is basically a sweet floral warm and spicy fragrance for every day! What holds this back from being a statement is simply the volume behind that beauty. If this had the longevity and projection to go with it, I would definitely add to my (full-priced) wishlist.

I totally agree with FireFlySF's review Dahlia Divin Nude is indeed pretty.I can feel that it belongs to the Dahlia Divin family,but while Nectar is syrupy sweet and heavy,Nude is soft and gentle.it's sweet but not as intensely sweet as her sisters,there's some sort of freshness here,also it's light character don't let it's sweetness becomes cloying apricot is very pleasant and yummy here,and florals are oh so pretty.there's just a hint of subtle woods and a silky musk to make this feminine scent,warmer and even more inviting..drydown is softly powdery and not as fruity sweet as it's opening I agree that it's not original,unique or complex but it smells lovely and while being light and simple,it doesn't smell cheap,on the contrary I usually find it charming and classy.I love it's milky sweetness and it's gorgeous jasmine and osmanthus It's a year round wearable perfume but now that I'm wearing it in this warm and sunny(but not hot) late summer day,I like it more than cold winter days(on me it was very very thin and too much musky-woody in cold temp) sillage is soft to moderate,longevity is less than 4 hours on my skin.I find it a very versatile perfume,it's wearable for work,date,evenings out,going to cinema or restaurant,even before sleep.if you'd like to have a sweet but tender,romantic,superfeminine and inoffensive perfume which stays close to skin give it a try I'm adding it to my wantlist but I don't think that I'm going to buy it anytime soon as it's very very expensive here and while I love how it smells on me,I can't convince myself to pay top dollars for a perfume with such a fleeting longevity and sillage(it costs as much as a 3.4oz Tom Ford or a chanel perfume) but if I find it with a reasonable price,I'd buy it

this scent i find quite fruity, sweet and fresh. before seeing what the accords were i tried to guess the fruit i smell and i guessed apricots. checking here, i guessed right. its very apricoty. i dont get the woody-ness like it says. definitely a spring day type perfume that would be cute wearing to a tea party with the ladies. its a scent i can see people would say its okay but not falling in love with. cant see how someone would say they hate it unless they dont like the smell of apricots. it smells delicious when you first spray but after about 5 minutes, the scent is non existent. i would purchase this spray if it lasted longer and had more sillage. its a very pricy perfume here in australia, just disappointing on how weak it is.

I love apricot and osmanthus, and, I think this is a fab mix, it smells kinda white flowers in my nose, and it is very shy and gentle. I only have a small sample, but, if the price is right, I will buy a big bottle of this nice juice, and I mean a BIG bottle, cause I will love to overspray myself with this soft and ever so tenderly perfume!! 10/10

This, to me, smells like Sephora. Or any perfume shop where it smells divine due to the mix of sprays in the air and to the fragranced products they sell. Very ladylike and refined without being specific. It does have a hint of Coco Mademoiselle in the drydown, but sweeter

The dahlia divin line is just lovely. My only problem is its weakness and this one is the worst flanker in that respect. I mean I've definitely smelled weaker...cough...prada... but I just cant justify the price for how fast I go through it

I can honestly say that this one is quite the chameleon and I'm intrigued. At first this came across smelling surprisingly classic/classy and then it started to morph into something sweet (but not too sweet to me) and vaguely fruity (I can't say it smelled like apricots exactly, but something kind of sticky/fleshy). Then it turned again into the classic/classy florals, but joined by a medium weight musk. I decided to try it on my skin and had my mom (who doesn't share my enthusiasm for fragrance and is bluntly honest LOL) smell it. She complimented it, but said it reminded her of something I already have. I felt the same way and tried to figure out what it was. The next morning, the scent was still on my skin (my inner elbow) and had dried down to a classic floral musk that gave a mature vibe that I like. I was still trying to figure out what it reminded me so much of and then it hit me: Live Irresistible Blossom Crush that I already have a full bottle of, but don't wear because something in it smells too close to patchouli (a note that just doesn't jibe with my skin at all). Dahlia Divin Nude does not have the patchouli smell to it, thankfully, but the musk is rather intense and even now (some fourteen hours later) I can still smell it and I even tried to scrub it off before going to work. Will I get a full bottle? Probably not, but I'm going to give the sample more wearings since my mom said it smells much better once it settles into my skin. She was like, "Spray that more and all over," and I was like, "Okay," LOL. I think that I might give LIBC another try, too, just to compare them side by side, but I think they are definitely cousins, if not good friends. :)

Nude opens with a blast of fuzzy peach candies, which is fun. It quickly deepens into a jammy, more “red” scented elixir but still a bit fizzy and fresh. I’ve had a sample of this for 6 years and never tried it because I didn’t care for the original (too red and jammy fruitchouli for my tastes), but actually I enjoy this. It has a youthful charm about it without being too fake or simple or immature. I might pick up a larger size sometime, because who doesn’t want to feel more youthful and charming? Longevity does seem to leave something to be desired but then again I have been sticking my nose right in it... Edit: wearing the last of my sample today and I still really like it. Unfortunately, it really only lasts about two hours on my skin, regardless of my attempts to moisturize or layer with molecules or not-a-perfumes. I ordered the 75 ml so I can spray with abandon.

..Nude is a soft light sweet scent, nothing bad to say about it...it smells nude!? Like it is a bit floral, but shy...I think it is a bit like Burberry Brit sheer..it isn't a flanker that adds much to the line, but it certainly is pleasant, and feminine...in the heart it smells of apricot nectar a bit...nothing unpleasant about it, but it isn't like I find it horribly attractive !? But on days you want a light scent, this is certainly a nice smelling perfume. UPDATE. I like it more and more, although it is rather soft the longevity is good, it warms up nicely, it has a charming stylish vibe that wasnt obvious at first...upon giving it time, I find it more interesting than Nectar!! Lovely!!

Dahlia Nude is a light scent, but I don't think it deserves harsh criticism.. Yes it is a flanker, I happen to like it, and I think I have good taste..it stays close to the skin, it is fresh and floral, with a hint of fruity...ok, nobody is running after me asking me what I am wearing, yet, on days I want a soft skin scent, Nude is good...smells good too.. It isn't Shalimar, but I can't wear Shalimar...think of being on a plane, working with kids, and wanting to smell nice in a discreet way, we need perfumes like Nude..

I don't sense it as the notes say. It reminds me of popcorn with caramel somehow. Something is so foody - smelling in it. I don't think it smells like apricots at all, maybe more like a fruit jam. It's not floral either. Difficult to describe, but it's good for a sweet scent like that. A very nice new release from Givenchy. I like it quite well.

Subtle, truly nice Dahlia Divin! It's quite sweet so better for cold season, but it's also gentle enough to be worn for all occasions. Actually, Nude is a good name for it because it stays close to the skin and it makes skin smell like the sun has just warmed it. Tempting, sexy, amazing. Update: A bit too intense for me.

A really pretty scent Similar to nectar but much lighter and fresh The florals are toned down and it doesn't have the thick sweetness that the others have but more of a whispy fruity sweetness. Very feminine of course, I think it would make a really nice day time spring scent. I smell all notes except osmanthus and wood.

Dahlia Divin Nude is a pleasing mostly floral but also fruity n woody perfume. The scent is not remarkable and is just another pleasant new flanker by Givenchy. It doesn’t last long, it’s reduced to a skin scent pretty soon. The perfume is way overpriced for the quality of juice the bottle holds.

Lovely apricot and white floral. I don't get any rose. It only lasts a few hours on me. Nice but not remarkable. If I smelled it on someone else, my reaction would be, "oh, she smells nice."

Nice, a pretty sweet and generic fruity floral, linear, feminine, rather forgettable. Longevity is 3 to 4 hours, sillage is the worst I've ever seen in a perfume.

Dahlia Devin is my signature scent, so of course I tend to blind buy the flankers. I usually apply maybe just 1 squirt of fragrance, but I after applying DD Nude and inhaling its lovely wet scent, I was sort of like "wait--where did it go?" I sprayed 3 times--crazy. I'm still not sure I can really smell this, though it does linger on my skin. Projection is so low, I'm picking up my husband at the airport tonight, and I'm thinking of just putting another perfume over this one. I do love the scent of apricot, powder, floral--but I think this one is going to be for something light when I'm alone or don't want to offend the asthmatics/those sensitive to fragrance in my family. I bought a small bottle of this, but wish I hadn't.

i love this fragrance! it’s not too polarising or loud but it’s strong with a good silage i’ve had 5 people ask me what i’m wearing when i spray this! it’s soft and delicate and fruity with that perfect musky wood smell at the base, i wore this perfume all winter and it was perfect and beautiful everytime i wore it, i haven’t gotten the chance to wear it in the summer but i definitely will soon! i believe this fragrance is perfect for all ages, it’s also the only apricot perfume i own and love :)

although this has a primary accord of fruity, it slightly brings me more towards the winter side. its a bit heavier but not as heavy as the OG dahlia divin (which i looove). blind purchased a sample thinking it would be similar to the OG, but couldn't even find the dna of it in this. tbh it kind of reminded me of a plasticky barbie doll, or like a lipstick/makeup type of note in this. it smelled quite artificial to me.

Lightly sweet and powdery. To me, this smells like makeup. Someone wrote that it smells like the inside of Sephora and they’re spot on! Feminine and likeable but a bit forgettable and safe. Personally it’s a little plain and lacklustre. The apricot is noticeable at first and then it fades as it dries down. My initial impression was that it smelled like an office lady. I probably have smelled it on someone who worked in my school’s main office. If you would like a safe, feminine scent, that’s a little more mature, but still soft, try this! :) This would make a good work perfume! Scent: 6/10 Longevity: 5/10 (a little bit weak) Sillage: 6/10 (noticeable, but not loud) Price: 6/10 School and Work Friendly! Apricot but I don't like it here. Jasmine and osmanthus are nice but the juicy high note of the apricot and musk is too present and persistent. Nice projection though. If you like floral musks but wish for something less powdery and more candied, this could be it. On skin this is more delicate smelling at first. Osmanthus is more prominent, apricot is jammy, musk is present quickly but still a sweet perfume overall. A little soapy with the jasmine+musk. Pretty but no desire to wear this. Sweeter on the test strip initially, but within an hour this matches the unwearable sweetness. Favorite apricot perfume: Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds Night

I do not like it. A fragrance lacking personality and poor persistence. On my skin, the smell feels exactly half an hour. After that, nothing. Tomorrow I will return it. Maybe they will use it as a tester but I do not want to keep it anymore. I dislike it so much, that I do not want to give it a chance, as it happened with other perfumes that I did not like at the first smell.

Light? Fresh? I wonder if there is something wrong to my nose, becose on my skin this is sickenly sweet and even when I try to wash it out I can still smell it several hours :D It must be apricot what my skin hates. I think I give this second chance on autumn, maybe its better then?

This is what I wanted Paradise Moon from Estee Lauder to smell like. Paradise Moon just smelled a little off to me, not bad but not one I wanted to buy. DD Nude starts out w/ a very nice apricot blended w/ orange blossom, the orange blossom keeps the apricot from becoming too heavy since apricot can be a very dense smell. Slight leather like nuances from the osmanthus are present, the jasmine has a watery quality, not heavy like jasmine can be at times. This perfume gets quite musky but a fruity clean musk, nothing animalic in this one, at least to my nose. Again, this reads young, and I am not a young woman, but I like it and will wear it anyway. I can see buying this and the Nectar again but for gifts for my younger sister who is in her late 20's. She would love both. This line is really nice, and they should keep it in production. This is a gentle fragrance where Nectar is stronger. If you like fruity, musky and light floral perfumes this is one you should pick up.

I am a little torn on this one. The opening and the middle were very pretty in a curious kind of way. Like I wasn't quite sure what I was smelling or how much I liked it. I know I like it, I am just not sure how much. I do love the apricot, the orange blossom and jasmine for sure, it's what's in the background that I can't quite figure out. In the dry down I am still questioning this. I love that it has my attention and will try it several more times to see how much I like it. My sense is I want to try it on warm skin on a warm day but not a hot day. Edit: Scrubbed :( Went sideways pretty quickly in the dry down. All wood and musk left and too strong for my liking.

I think this is an elegant, more classy fruity perfume. I thought I didnt like fruity fragrance but I realise I have a soft spot for peach/apricot. No surprise since when I was young I love peach scented stuff, body cream, lipbalm etc. I just never seek out this note in a perfume. Found this out because the 2 fruity perfume that I like, this and V&R BonBon has peachy apricot note in it. (I know peach and apricot it's not the same but to me its similar enough) I owe and love this, think its perfect for a spring/summer. I felt like this is a safe gift/ blind buy, would not offend anyone but my sister said this smells generic to her.

Just testing this. It is very, very pretty. A few minutes in, it is stunning... soft, sweet, feminine. Sophisticated but also youthful , I could see this being the perfect scent for a wide variety of women of all ages. Just smelling my wrists in the store I was convinced this would be my next buy! But.... only an hour or so later, the fragrance was basically gone. This isn’t an inexpensive fragrance, it should have much better longevity and sillage. Oh well, I will happily visit it in the store but pretty as it is, I won’t buy it because I want more for my $$.

I got this few days ago and due to expectations based on read it is sweeter and softer. All I had in mind was Hugo Boss Femme, I don't know why, they fall into same category in my perfume world 😄 Hugo's cold and fresh, this is warm. And it's mature, but so am I. I'm not so into the first notes and sugary, though I like sweetness, but to the very close to skin muskyness and softness with some sweetness. I hate sour notes on me and this is not that. After few hours it smells like a fine elegant warm lady.

I sampled Dahlia Divin Nude at the Givenchy counter today, and at first spray, I thought, it is definitely the sister of Le Nectar, sweet and floral! But later on it softened into a juicier, more fruity fragrance. It still has that Dahlia Divin undertone, but pressing my nose to my wrist, I can pick out the apricot that gives Nude a little more freshness. This may be a bit more wearable in warmer weather than its sisters. Very nice, but I still prefer Le Nectar over this.

Just a quick observation about people saying that fragrances, such as this one, lack sillage and/or fade too fast. Well, this is what happens when people complain about the strength of fragrances. The manufacturers are more than happy to respond by watering them down and charging us the same price! It would be far better if people just sprayed less, or bought the EDT version; rather than compaining about what is actually a very good thing.

I find it very linear and unimaginative. A sweet apricot compote. Definitely not my piece of cake. I was hoping that the apricot note would go away after a few minutes, but two hours down the road it's still there in all its suffocating glory. No hint of musk or flowers, just your generic fruity scent.

It's addictive and delectable. This smells very much like an Apricot Milkshake. Also I think it has decent staying power.

Very sweet, almost sickly sweet scent. Reminds me of apricot gummies. Definitely not the natural smell of the fruit.

Am sorry Givenchy are excellent quality but osmanthus is mynemesis, always, so cannot!

Feel elegant while wearing this. Modern and clean smell scent.
