Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Absolu d’Oranger

I sprayed this one on me when I was in the airport of Doha. Had I known it is a limited edition for the Middle East!!!! I loved it. Right after application, all I could smell was the Orange Blossom note. After it settled, the most prominent note was still the same, but vanilla and tonka bean made their appearance. They are really well blended. The other notes didn't pop up that much, but they are definitely there. It's veeeery long lasting. On my clothes, it only vanished because I washed them. On me, one entire day (obviously, it faded after a shower). Its projection is also outstanding. Luckily, the person sitting beside on the plane didn't complain. It did remind me of the original Ange ou Demon in its warmth, it sort of sends a similar vibe, but all in all they're two different fragrances. I regret not buying it.

This is definitely one of my favorites in my collection. It's very smoky/incensy for the first few hours. The white flowers are noticable too ,but it's vanilla and incense that give the fragrance it's character. Has an air of mystery, is powerful, and yet is a wearable Oriental in my opinion. On the drydown, the incense backs off and the vanilla and tonka take the stage. It gets sweeter (but not gourmand sweet) and it's quite smooth and well rounded. Great longevity - very good silage. Very luscious and luxurious smelling. Love it!

On me, this is a beautiful, sensual gourmand with a neroli twist. It’s warm and opulent but not too heavy at all. Easily my favorite of the Eaudemoiselles. Absolutely gorgeous on my skin, and one of the top 5 I reach for when it comes to special occasions or date night where I want to feel feminine and sexy.

absolutely amazing. a gorgeous fragrance i cannot get enough of. maybe its me living in the middle east but oh my god this smells so luxurious and rich. my signature fragrance from now on, 10/10, i want to fill my cupboards with this.

C'est vrai, Monsieur Givenchy, une autre vie, c'est un parfum de grande dame. So yes, compared to the the original which has a jam rose so strong it was tearing you apart, this is a jewelry. It is a white perfume, you can feel a rose here as well, but a pleasant green one, a garden rose. It really feels like an orange blossom and a sour orange, I don't see it as a gourmand, it has more a resinous notes type, something spicy. Also has something smoky, a shadow smoke but a fragrant one, like a burnt incense smoke from the very floral Orthodox Church area. But it is still a powdery perfume, very fine, nothing aggressive or violent and with a good soothing woody note, which I really like. I'm glad there's another Givenchy that I like after my love Amarige Mariage.

This scent is like a thicker, higher quality version of The Body Shop's Neroli Jasmin EDT (before it was diluted into 'Indian Night Jasmine')...except this Givenchy is not fresh, it's warmer and woodier, and gets very balmy towards the drydown. I like it but I prefer the cheapie from The Body Shop because it's more crisp. Like MellyHelly I find it kind of weird. It smells nice enough but it doesn't smell like something I'd reach for often...it's not complex or rich enough for cold days, not fresh enough for warm days. But yeah, it's okay, worth a try atleast if you really love orange blossom. Lasting power is surprisingly good, I could still smell it on me at the end of the day.

Received this for my birthday two years ago. Still not able to finish it. This is extremely heavy, sit on your chest, breath chocking perfume. It's beautiful, but suffocating. Only usable in winter.

Vanilla, citrus flower (orange blossom), woods, & rose. The end result is a fresh white floral scent, bright & happy. Very likeable & inoffensive. "Like"

I had a sample a few years ago. Now I can't find anywhere to buy it. Found clone on perfume parlour UK. Total match. Happy.

I just tested this today, and I love it, definitely not what I expected given the name and the obvious notes. I used one spray on my wrist, so I can't say much about the strength in longevity or sillage. However, I expected this to be quite citrusy, bright and basically an Orange Blossom bomb, but it wasn't, it was so much better than that. There's Orange Blossom (obviously giving Orange vibes) that's true, but for the most part, I smell Tonka beans and Vanilla which add a little thickness and darkness to it. Personally, for me it's a female version of Allure Homme Sport (Chanel). Beautiful Orange, Tonka and Vanilla mix, not cool, not too warm. I find it suitable for a signature scent. Overall, a very likable, versatile fragrance.

i have tried and used A LOT of fragrances in my life, and i know how different they smell on skin as opposed to being sprayed on clothes, however this is the first time i ever felt one and the same fragrance smelling like two COMPLETELY different things. After reading the reviews here and the notes listed, i decided to blind buy this one because it seemed like impossible to fail. I cannot begin to describe my disappointment when i put it on my wrist. From the first second it was a disgusting blast of sourness, oudy, sharp, overwhelming, linear, and i felt absolutely no flowers or vanilla. I thought here's another disappointing oud. But today i tried it on the sleeve of my cotton shirt and i couldn't believe it to be the same fragrance. The woods in it are very well balanced, not overbaring at all, like in some other oudy modern fragrances where you barely feel any other notes wich usually doesn't make them very feminine. Now i feel everything- orange blossom, vanilla, just a little bit of rice and after a few minutes even the tonka bean. it's quite warm, opulent, mildly sweet, and the woody notes are coming as a silent echo in the distance. It's quite beautiful and unusual. At times feels a bit ambery even. Sillage and longetivity are quite well too. If you like this combination of notes and you're looking for something different from the usual rose+almond+pear combo, go for it! it's sofisticated, confident, strong.

Wow, this exceeded my expectations (and lately this seldom happens). This is a Middle Eastern perfume created by a French house, it is refined and nuanced in a Western way (as in it blends the best of both worlds). There is definitely oud here, not overpowering but blended nicely with incense. The orange blossom is present throughout, just giving a general feminine undertone to the fragrance. Thankfully no rose or vanilla show up on my skin; it’s pure incense, oud and orange blossom. The dry down has a great resemblance to Alien Oud Majesteux, only that one is a bit thick and suffocating at times, whereas Absolu d’oranger remains polite. I’m going to layer it with Lutens’ Fleur d’oranger, I bet it will be even more mesmerising. Edit: reminds me of Roberto Cavalli EDP plus oud

What a weird scent! I cannot say if I like it or not. It's very strong and tenacious. I can smell the orange blossom, but it's definetely not in the clean&fresh class. There is a lot of other stuff going on here, especially woody notes and some incense. It clinged to my skin, my sleeve and paper and didn't let go for days! I can see the why it is aimed to Middle Eastern market. It has no airy playspace. It smells more like a thick orangey-woody oil would smell. Unfortunately I also smell a thick plastic vibe, very similar to most perfumes in the Alien's line.

Love at first whiff. I'm lucky to be living in the ME because this scent is absolutely gorgeous. I rarely ever make a perfume purchase on the spot but I ended up grabbing a bottle the first time I tried it. Pure Arabian notes with a twist of powdery/vanilla/smoky warmth. I can see how this would be a great hit in the region. Absolutely divine to say the least and way more beautiful than Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Bois de Oud, which doesn't translate the beauty of Arabian notes the way Absolu d’Oranger does.

perfume parlour do an oil copy of this.. called absolute orange. I have some, but have no idea if its any good not knowing what the Givenchy one is like. form an orderly queue.....

Where can I find this in the United States, guys!? It's not on eBay save for one listing - from the UAE 🇦🇪.
