Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Romantic

This juice is fascinating. I will explain shortly. But first, Fragrantica's pyramid is almost entirely wrong. There is no popcorn in it at all. My sample from Givenchy reads: "A gourmand fragrance as feminine as can be, with a deliciously addictive trail. CHYPRE GOURMAND" The notes on the official card are listed as: "Crumble, mocha and rose, patchouli" This is an extremely sweet, syrupy concoction. Sniffing up close, it smells like a generic rose-oud fragrance. It reminds me of so many of the Middle Eastern perfume oils I have smelled over the years, especially one that has peach in it, yet there's no mention of peach by Givenchy. Now back to why I find it fascinating. The product card describes a "deliciously addictive trail", and that's exactly what I get. If I do not sniff my wrist up close, the trail drifts up to my nose while walking around. I definitely detect chocolate and a pastry-like scent like peach cobbler. No coffee, no "mocha". I really don't like the perfume when I sniff my arm up-close, but I do indeed find the trail very addictive! I just think it's fascinating that Givenchy intentionally created a fragrance that so specifically speaks to the sillage. There's nothing chypre about this. Not sure why Givenchy describes it as such. Not really sure that there is anything "romantic" about peach crumble with hot chocolate 🤔. It's a yummy scent and a unique gourmand that I would buy if it was still on the market.

I am obsessed with this, it's so cozy and comforting, but in a very smooth and polished, mature, feminine way––without being either overly sweet or overly musky (the chocolate and popcorn notes are actually amazing). After a couple weeks of daily use I just ran out of the sample I found in the back of my cupboard and am now mourning what I'm realizing was a limited edition fragrance

This is my wife’s new signature fragrance. Pure silky magic. The subtle cocoa, sweetness and dark florals are perfectly blended. I detect some sultry oud as well, even though it is not listed as an ingredient. A modern, sleek chypre. Astounding.

I have been looking for this everywhere only to find out that it was a Limited Edition Fragrance. Please bring it back! Cherishing what is left of my precious bottle.
