Eaudemoiselle Essence des Palais

This is a mouthful of a name. Are you looking for a Fendi by Fendi fragrance possible replacement, albeit , with some unique structural differences? It is 80% close, in my opinion. This fragrance satisfies that Fendi signature perfume hunger, that we've been starved of for years. It is not , however , for the faint hearted. It is a creature unto itself, and has a life of its own. It really does wear you, not you who wears it. It is an Arabian smelling Fendi. I bought mine blind, and it may grace some shelf of a store somewhere in Europe, however NOT in my corner of the earth. A risk that did pay off, not all have, but if you loved Fend by Fendi Fragrance for women 1985, it's worth trying. I have now, adjusted to its differences, it has eternal longevity. It is So unique! Enough like Fendi for me to feel happy. Read the ingredients , spray further away from face, as it is significant, so will definitely snake its way up, and all around you, and heads will turn in a room. I am , also just waiting to hear that this too, has become a victim of the over populated Fragrance market, I really hope not. Bit nervous!

I was in Dubai when it was launched back in Feb ‘17 and immediately loved this mysterious fragrance, started wearing as soon as I was back in the US, in Dubai was winter also but is not cold, of course, and this parfume is only for the fall - winter time. First spray is strong and masculine but dries down soon into a one of a kind woody sweet scent, very elegant and unique, one of my top favorites, for special occasions, because I have to ask my friend from Abu Dhabi to ship it to me. My one and only complaint is that is doesn’t last as I would like. Today, I decided to submit my comments because I received as a gift Carlisle by parfums de Marly and to my surprise smells very, very similar. I’m happy I have two options now. If you prefer floral, light, citrus or popular scents, this is not for you.

This is SUCH a comfort scent!! When I had just sprayed this perfume, I thought "this is again a Arabian Oud-Rose scent. Nothing wrong with the best perfumes of the world but on me (blond, North European) it doesn't suit. After one second this perfume opens its gem; This scent is Like a warm comfortable blanket, and every time you wipe a little with the blanket you smell a fresh but warm Benzoin, Rose, Elemi scent with occasional the saffron. I think it's a more feminine scent. This perfume is also a bit sweet; woody - rose sweet...

A beautiful unisex fragrance that contains woody/leathery middle eastern accords. The opening delivers a nice resinous myrrh and incense. I don't pick up rose at all, which is fine by me. As it dries down you get the slight sweetness from the saffron/tonka bean and a tiny ginger kick which adds dimension to the whole thing. It is blended perfectly. Within a couple of hours it stays closer to the skin and the final dry down is lovely. Appropriate for evening and formal events. A safe blind buy if you like orientals.

One of the best leather scents I've ever encountered! Definitely the best leather scent for women I've ever encountered. Eaudemoiselle Essence des Palais, a soft scent of charming & mysterious leather, softened & enriched with saffron, & supported by a light aroma of rose, myrrh, and incense that gives it an opulent depth. Absolutely beautiful. Arabic & a little gothic; dark & alluring. It has a similar vibe to Juliette Has A Gun Midnight Oud but Essence des Palais smells different. I "Love" it!

I knew I wanted this when it first appeared on Fragrantica. I looked at the notes and the bottle and I imagined what it would smell like. Usually this doesn't work because I imagine something then when I smell it it's something completely different. But when I smelled Essence des Palais at Doha airport, it was exactly what I imagined! It's smokey, it's resinous, it's sweet, but not too sweet, it's dark, but very wearable. I bought my bottle immediately.

Oh hello, yes this is sexy. I sprayed it for the first time and my husband said it smelled really good. He said it smelled woody. First spray is a huge wave of spicy roses and it dries down to a leathery oud, though oud isn’t supposed to be here. It’s unisex and on a woman a bit provocative and mysterious.

A very warm Middle Eastern/Arabic smell with intensive incense. Could be easily unisex as it is woody & strong. Think Gucci Guilty Absolute woodiness. Reminds me a lot of a perfume called Velvet by Scent Maker, a Kuwaiti perfume brand. Big like!

Wow. Like an untold dark desire this smell is. It was a blind buy and instantly fell in love.

Unique and mysterious and so gothic...

Interesting. A very dark scent, the cedar is very strong, pine needled like. Sweetness takes a while to warm through, brought by the incense and musky rose. A mature grown up perfume, dark and haunting. This is a relationship that needs a while to develop. update: the opening reminds me off LALIQUE EXTREME, a men's fragrance., very burning forest/resin but it really does mellow out to a warm deeply sweet slightly musky scent. . gets sweeter towards the end.

Balsamic, smokey leather with resinous sweetness. I live in the Middle East and I've tried endless scents from this olfactory profile. But this scent is certainly executed with European restraint; light-handed on the smokey, tar-like notes, giving way to the floral, resinous accords that lend the composition smoothness and balance.

One of the best oud scents I have ever come across (and I have tried quite a few). This wonderful perfume offers powdery oud, satin-light leather and spices dancing in a merrygoround. It is a headturner but not something that will choke you. I bought this blind and am very happy with this scent.

the colour black looks so attractive, we have very few perfumes in black bottles. smell wise the scent has some similarity to tom ford perfumes. not bad at all but I still love Givenchy bois de oud among this collection.

Benzoin-heavy, leathery-rose scent. Or rose-y leather? Anyway, this is strong and harsh, and I can't smell any other notes but the strong rose-leather-benzoin combo, no saffron, no myrrh or tonka bean.

Cant believe this is discontinued, literally the best perfume i ever owned. On the haunt for something as good now
