Fantasque

Givenchy Fantasteque is one of the few fragrances that feels truly unforgettable. Every time I wear it, it gives me the same feeling of confidence and presence. It does not sit quietly on the skin. It moves with you and creates an aura that people notice. The scent itself is rich and smooth. It opens warm and slightly sweet, like rootbeer-esque (myrrh maybe some frankincense?) then settles into a deep blend of woods, spice, and a clean masculine base. The oud is not offensive, and is present throughout the dry down. It has a cozy quality that feels inviting and elegant at the same time. It is the kind of scent that feels perfect when the air is cool and you want something that wraps around you with warmth. The longevity is outstanding. I can put it on in the evening and it stays on my skin well into the next morning. The sillage is strong enough to get attention without ever feeling too heavy. It creates a trail that feels refined and intentional. The compliments are constant. One of my most memorable moments was at a restaurant. I was walking back from the bathroom when a woman at the bar stopped me and said she had been waiting for me to return so she could ask what I was wearing. That is the kind of reaction Fantasteque brings out. I reach for this fragrance during the fall, autumn, and winter seasons. The warmth and depth of the scent shine in cooler weather. It feels perfect for nights out, special occasions, and moments when you want to feel polished and magnetic.

Delicately fizzy rose, lifted on airy incense and myrrh. The oud peeks through but is blended exquisitely here and very well behaved - it doesn't go funky or petrolly. Even if vanilla and cardamom are listed among the official notes, I wouldn't smell this and call it vanillic (or sweet, for that matter) nor spicy. Feels like they're part of the picture just to add extra softness and delicate warmth. I think that's a good word to describe this - it's delicate...and delicately seductive. Like a black cat on a leisurely stroll - it's beautiful to come across but it's not trying to make a point and catch your attention. But it will anyway if you have a discerning eye.... In line with that image, on me this isn't a sillage or longevity monster, but it's not wimpy either - just falls somewhere in the middle. I do love it though. It feels like home when I wear it.

This is my favourite aftershave, yes it’s £285 for 100ml but it’s a private line fragrance what do you expect. This is my special occasions fragrance (obviously not in the summer) and if I was going to describe this fragrance it’s simply a smoky cherry coke that last all day, even sometimes when I wash my clothes they still smell of it, it’s fantasque ;)

Erll, Ibjust tried it, fell in love in bought it in Spain. What can I say? One of those love at first smell perfumes. Not much to say. Unique, pleasing, wonderful and exotic. In the same league as PdM Oajan. Just get it if you can. 10/10. The best one from Givenchi, along with Foudroyant.

Reminds me of TF Cherry Smoke, but less green, with a toned-down cherry and smoky accord. I like this drydown better than Cherry Smoke. It smells elegant and complex. It’s on my wishlist

I like the smokiness, resin, and amber here just fine, but I'll admit I'm overwhelmed by the sharp bite of the balsamic accord and ultimately think this is a fragrance that's just too strong and masculine for me; might try to layer it with a lighter vanilla and see if that makes it more wearable (update: it does!!)

Slightly smoked fruity (cherry?) woods. No prominent oud or incense accord detected. Very safe, smooth, nicely blended, and technically well done, but I’ve been smelling this dna an awful lot from the designer exclusives the past couple years and am quickly bored of it. Very forgettable

Fantasque falls under the same family of perfumes such as Oajan and Ambre Narguile. Don't bother if you already have these two perfumes, as it smells very similar!

Ultra balsamic oud with a drop of rose syrup Im not sure how people are comparing this to hermes amber narguile or pdm ojan , those are much creamier and rounder while this is like a shot in your face oud and myrrh , it has warm spiciness naunce and a teeny tiny touch of sweetness coming from rose to tone this beast down .. I would say this is the evil twin of MFK - oud satin mood , and i meant it in a good way .. ( MFK is rounder and on powdery side while this is sharper and more on balsamics) Its too strong and can only be worn in the coldest darkets night time occasions .. Unisex leaning musculine ..

“Fizzy Rose” and “Smokey Coca Cola” are references to Fantasque. These are quite accurate IMO but in the most luxurious fragrance way possible. For those that want to like Oud Satin Mood but feel it’s too strong and leans too feminine, this very well might be more your speed. Three compliments at three different times and locations throughout the day. Good projection, great sillage for 8 hours. Longevity...I’m about to tap out after 15 hours and it’s gonna outlast me. Worth it if you can afford it; however, it’s definitely pushing the limit.

I really like it, but for my taste it’s a bit too close to foudrayant (which is in the same collection). It’s a lot better on skin, so if you get the chance go right past spraying it on a testing strip

I thought my life was bad, until I discovered the people who vote for perfumes they haven't smelled. Worse, perfumes which are not even out yet. Thanks, guys! 👍 💋

Why oh why would people give horrible ratings to unreleased fragrances? what good could possibly come out of that ?

Starts lovely. Unfortunately sillage is so weak on me. Smells smokey, resinuous and spicy with a hint of sweetness.

I thought I was the only one who felt it along the same line as Oajan... Im in the US, i got one for sale 390

Probably the most exciting new fragrance from this year already. Can't wait to try it out.
