Gentleman Eau de Parfum Boisée

Gentleman Boisée was also co-created by Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp and its fragrance is classified as woody-floral-spicy. The composition is rich and counts on nobler raw materials, such as black pepper from Madagascar and Vietnam, essences of coriander from Russia and Ukraine, and geranium from Egypt, at the start. The central part features iris concretes from China and Italy, cocoa, and cedar from Virginia. The base of the olfactory pyramid reveals sandalwood from Australia, burning woods, and patchouli from Indonesia. On the skin, Gentleman Boisée brings together much of the DNA of the Eau de Parfum version but received a wood bath in place of the vanilla-balsamic accord of the latter. And in this aspect, I need to add a bit of information: this is the kind of woody scent that most men expect to know when they don't have much knowledge about the olfactory families. Unfortunately, fragrances full of syrupy cinnamon and laughable doses of cedar or sandalwood are often offered to them as good examples of woodsy. And the result ends up being a bad parameter of a good woody fragrance. Gentleman Boisée opens with a lot of pepper and the coriander reinforces the spicy and sweeter characteristics of the initial accord. The cocoa is easily noticed and even shows itself from the very beginning, as if it were at the top of the composition. And like a good cocoa note, it brings that drier and hotter chocolate powder smell, which breaks the sweetness of a good chocolate truffle when sprinkled around it. More than that, cocoa here behaves as if it were a relative of cinnamon powder within the universe of chocolates. Can you imagine? And you can't go any further with this Gentleman flanker, without mentioning the key ingredient since the pillar was revived in 2017: the iris. Again, absolutes were used to bring out a specific creaminess, like a thick butter, almost waxy. And as with the EDT version, the iris note here is neither uncomfortable nor overwhelming. It is smooth and sophisticated, perfect for those who cannot tolerate its powdery effect in excess. Many may think that the powdery facets come from it, but make no mistake: it is still the cocoa speaking the loudest. The evolution is heading towards a kind of balsamic bonbon with a minty effect, which brings the softness of sandalwood and the fluffy richness of patchouli leaves, here woodier. Gentleman Boisée even behaves like a semi-gourmand perfume, especially in milder temperatures. In terms of performance, Gentleman Boisée projects very poorly, staying very close to the skin. It's already clear to me that this is a positioning of the line since it was revived. But it lasts eight hours, without much effort, and despite looking like a more sober fragrance, it works well in corporate environments or on romantic occasions, without limiting the age group too much. Finally, I can understand the comparisons with fragrances from the Dior Homme line, as well as from the Valentino Uomo line. But can those who have one give up the other? I don't think so. They have different results: one is more floral, the other is more gourmand and this one is woodier. Gentleman Boisée was, without a doubt, one of the great launches of 2020, able to bring back that sparkle in the eyes of those who always eagerly awaited the launches of the most famous brands within the Designer segment. Today's gentleman wears iris, cocoa, and sandalwood and has an avatar on social media.

Hello everyone, just wanted to give my thoughts on this one. Just as I do the rest of the Gentleman line, I love it. Something about the Iris just works on my skin so perfectly. The thing about this one appears to be the versatility of this one. Similar to Gentleman Cologne, there is a brightness in Boisee that lasts the duration of the fragrance. In fact, if it wasn’t for the hint of smokiness this would be an easy wear anytime of year. It isn’t a strong smokiness as found in other favorites such as in Bentley for men intense, but nevertheless still there enough to notice on a 80+ degree Fahrenheit day. And besides, since Gentleman Cologne exists, clearly, it wasn’t Givenchy’s plan for us to wear it during the Summer months. Therefore, Spring/Fall are the best times to wear this one. Yes, it works perfectly in Winter as well. But again, Givenchy probably expects us to wear Gentleman EDP over Boisee. It just works so nicely on clothes. I have a night shirt I wear only to bed. Meaning I wear it multiple nights in a row without washing it. I sprayed it one night as a trial, and fell in love with it. Every time I go to wear that night shirt, I get that whiff of Boisee. I love it. Therefore, it’s hard for me to not want to wear it. I’ve been going through my 100ml bottle so quickly, as I have with the entire line. It’s just an amazing line. Longevity isn't as terrible as some would make it out to be. So I will be as clear as I can be. The moniker “Gentleman” is what people have to keep in mind. A Gentleman shouldn’t shout, just let his presence be known. This does that perfectly. If I spray my clothes, once on each forearm, and one on each shoulder, I notice I don’t go anosmic to it. If air spray around my head/neck region, I go anosmic after an hour, because I will take my mask off and there it is. So I highly recommend to everyone, Don’t spray around your head region if you are one of those who claims, it’s gone after 10 minutes. Another thing, DON’T bury your nose into the region you applied the fragrance. Again, you WILL go anosmic to it. Just because you don't smell it, doesn’t mean everyone else can’t. I have been told various times this by co-workers. Givenchy again, sticking to the moniker Gentleman nailed it.

I'm a bit conflicted I tried Gentleman Boisée at a department store over a month ago and it was love at first sniff. There was a strong iris accord that smelled really close to that of Green Irish Tweed, but the scent overall was woody and powdery, creamy even. Some time ago I found a pretty much brand new bottle no box for $45 on Reddit and pulled the trigger immediately, but now that I have it (and it's authentic as far as I know), it smells different from what I remember. There's still plenty of iris here, but it's way more subdued and is instead blended amazingly with the woody notes and the spices. The scent's creaminess of the iris-cacao pod combo is still present, and this is still an excellent and manly woody-iris fragrance, but I'm conflicted because it doesn't smell how I remember it. It still smells amazing and I love it but it's not quite there, I'm unsure if it could be a batch variation thing, but I have no way to know what batch is the tester I had tried. Gentleman Boisée is, in my opinion, the second best Gentleman flanker after Society and infinitely better than Reserve Privée (but to be fair I still haven't tried a few flankers). Another thing, in a way this kind of reminds me a bit of CH Men but without the weird grass smell, more woody and less powdery. This is definitely fall-winter signature scent worthy and a pretty inexpensive one too. Performance is pretty good, as is the case with all the Givenchys I've tried. Projection is pretty strong at first but dries down to a moderate projection rather quickly, and then stays that way for about 2-3 hours before becoming a skin scent. Sillage is dense and you'll be able to catch whiffs of it pretty easily and constantly. Longevity is also great, it's been 8 hours since I sprayed and it's still detectable on skin but it's a bit faint. I'm confident this'll perform even better in cooler weather.

It is excellent, but not as some people describe it. The biggest surprise is that it is not an iris fragrance at all. There is no iris note and no powdery iris character. The dominant profile is perfumery woods, not real wood, meaning a slightly creamy, earthy woody smell, combined with light cocoa powder. It is not gourmand, which is a good thing. This is essentially the main scent unless you focus excessively to pick up the other notes. The fragrance is pleasant, light, and elegant, not loud at all. I really liked the variant of the woody note used here. It has elegance and a refined feel, neither light nor heavy. I have not tested the projection yet, but I expect it to be on the lighter side, requiring more sprays due to weak projection from my land and clothes when I smell it myself. It is lighter than the Prive version. Scent 8.5/10 Distinctive and worth owning, but be aware that it should not be considered a flanker of the original Gentleman, as it does not contain an iris note at all. It should be treated as a standalone fragrance. Other aspects are still unknown to me at this point.

When I got back into fragrances I got 3 Givenchy Gentleman Flankers. On first wear of each and every one there was a heavy powdery sweetness that made them hard to wear. They smelled great but something just stuck in my throat from the powder level. I am starting to notice effects of maturing perfume and softening of some notes in relatively short storage times...but that's another thread. So after wearing cheapies for a week I have been wanting to wear Boisee for a while and decided to start my week with it. I have to admit paying for higher end perfumery seems worth it today. I just get such refined notes from Gentleman Boisee. It has a modern perfumery softness with an old school woody barbershop green quality that never clash. They just hold hands and enjoy the ride together. That's The Crespy Cream factor in this one. It envelops you in comfort like a velvet fog of powderiness and light sweetness. The woods and peppers etc are so nicely blnded so this is never offensive. Very masculine without being assaulting masculinity. Smells clean and well dressed. The scent honors the Gentleman moniker. I get fern like freshness with some dry woodiness like oak. an almost mentholic effect of the woods with an oh so slight vanillic powdery sweetness. Classy. Never loud. Suit worthy. Business or pleasure oriented. An all around performer. Sure this has notes you have smelled a million times before in men's fragrances but the real trick here is making them play nicely together and in full formal attire in the sandbox. Good Work Mister Cresp. The gentlemen thank you kindly and tip their hat to your illustrious talent .

I'm just so impressed with this. I'd tried both Gentleman EDT Intense and Reserve Privee from this line, but hadn't tried any of the other flankers or the original EDP before deciding to blind buy this. The EDT Intense was a bit too bright for my taste, although I wanted freshness like the EDT, and the Reserve Privee felt too situational, albeit an amazing fragrance. This brought me to Boisee, which I'd heard a good deal of praise on. The more subdued (but still present) iris, along with cacao pod and pepper really stuck out to me, enough to order it. Going into it, I believed it wouldn't be as fresh as EDT Intense, and that longevity might be quite poor. However, both of these presumptions were incorrect. The top notes of black pepper and geranium are so strong and clean that I'm immediately reminded of springtime. The iris is almost immediately noticeable, maybe a minute or two in. These notes start to blend seamlessly as the woods come forward to make for a spectacular scent. I know this is being somewhat relegated to a Fall/Winter fragrance, but I would argue that springtime, as well as some cooler summer evenings out, are great for this as well. The freshness of the florals mixed with the woods and just a hint of bitter chocolate make this so signature-worthy. It's refined but can be dressed down as well, I see it as an extremely versatile fragrance. Longevity is definitely moderate, 5-6 hours, but those are 5-6 amazing hours. Fair warning, it may be a bit redundant if you already own the EDT Intense, but I do see some differences as well. Get it.

This is the fragrance that got me into the hobby of fragrance collecting. I absolutely fell in love with it the moment I sniffed it at a retail store. Of course, I had to buy it right then and there. This is was my first scent that is more suitable for the colder weather, and the first "expensive" fragrance that I bought with my own money (I didn't know anything about niche fragrances back then) It is quite hard for me to describe the smell. The best I can say is it smells like a chocolatey fizzy cola wearing a 3 piece suit. In other words, this gives very classy, clean, gentlemanly vibes. I would take Boisse over any of the gentleman line fragrance any day any time. This is pretty much my 3 season signature scent. I specially enjoy wearing this in the office, and this is a perfect dumb reach fragrance for me. This can very easily work on date nights, as well as any special occasion. I've been wearing it for almost 8 months and I can safely say, I am going to buy backup bottles of this one. I don't see myself getting bored of this profile. Not a lot of people around me wear this type of scent profile so this definitely makes me stand out in a good way. I've gotten a handful of compliments with this one. Although the longevity could be slightly better, I am still happy with how long it lasts. When I wear this to the office, it vanishes in the last hour of the work day which works in my favor since this allows me to apply a different fragrance after office if I want to.

If someone were to ask me what my favourite-smelling fragrance of all time is, I would, without hesitation, say Givenchy Gentleman Boisée. The scent is absolutely unbelievable. It is masculine, luxurious, and effortlessly classy. There is also a unique quality to it; while it carries some very slight resemblance to Dior Homme Intense, I find it does everything better in terms of scent. However, you cannot have everything at once, and this fragrance proves that. Its overwhelming drawback is performance. The longevity is weak, and the projection and sillage are frankly abysmal. Within an hour of spraying, you practically need to press your nose against your skin just to detect it. On one occasion, I applied it freshly on skin AND clothes, stepped outside, and asked my family if they could smell it. Even standing close to me, they could not pick up a trace, and this was only half an hour after application. I even walked in front of them as close as possible and they couldn't catch a whiff. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated experience; many other reviewers report the same issue, and it seems widely known as a poor performer. This is such a shame, because while the scent itself is extraordinary, what is the point of an incredible fragrance if only you can smell it, and only for an hour at that? Such a waste of brilliance.

Creamy woods, pepper, a beatiful cacao accord that adds a subtle sweetness and slight hint of iris. This is an amazing fragrance just like the others in the line. It is much more woody, less spicy and less sweet than both EDP and Reserve Prive despite also being a sweet fragrance. The cacao note is not too chocolatey or gourmand, it just adds a beatifuş sweet spice into the composition. Smokey undertones from woods are hidden somewhere between the facets of cacao and iris. If you like the original dior homme (with the cacao note) but want something more woody, mature and less lipsticky, this is the perfect fragrance. The only 2 cons that I can give is it smells weird until the pepper and geranium settles (Opening was also problematic in Reserve Prive) and second it is not powerful as I expected it to be. Either I go noseblind for this one, or they watered down the composition. Maybe this problem can be solved with maceration, I don't know. The best out of all Gentleman line with the Reserve Prive, but it is strictly for the fans of the woody genre as name implies. Smell before you buy.

Straight to the point, this fragrance is for those who love a walk through the raw woods, the natural, elegant, pristine woods of Rock Creek Park, as opposed to designed Central Park. Better yet, visit the ancient boxwoods of Mount Vernon in bleak, cold February and become intoxicated by their indescribable scent. Either you will fall down and worship the one true God immediately or begin speaking in tongues; or you’ll finally realize your doomed fate for becoming Satan’s crafty minion and accept the fact there is no hope for you. Sorry! Such is Fate!! If this fragrance appeals to you and you wear it well, you will be like catnip drawing out the beasts from the fields. If you wear it to church all eyes will be on you; and only the boss who owns the company can wear it to the office and everyone will be mesmerized and in awe, and fascination. People will be working and producing like crazy because the man who wears this well is very real in the knowledge and fate of his soul. He’s the “Hound of Heaven”..., either that or an angel of the Lord. Praise God!

This is my most recent purchase along with Society and own EDT Intense and EDP. I will say all 3 are not redundant, yes all iris based and can tell they are related but not overly similar. Whereas EDT Intense has big aromatics and cedar/cypress woody background making it the freshest; and EDP has its noticeably warm spices, balsamic resin feel and smooth vanilla; Boisse is right in between where the coriander and geranium opens up similar to a fresh green cardamom, it’s woody but bright, then as it dries its soft, little sweeter and more woods. It does come off classy but not stuffy if that makes sense. Performance to me is less than the other two mentioned. I instantly loved EDT Intense, quickly grew to greatly appreciate the EDP and once I smelled Boisse had to have it. I have smelled Prive and it’s great but quickly dries down close to EDP so I’ve held off so far. Great collection of scents. Society is much different and brings its own appeal.

Iris, black pepper, sandalwood, patchouli, and cedar are the notes which stick out to me the most. The cacao seems to be the “selling point” note but I really don’t get much of a chocolatey vibe. And the truth is, I’m GLAD. I am so happy that this iris doesn’t go into the ultra sweet gourmand territory because that has been done to death. It dips its toes in, but it stays true to itself in the end. This is its own thing! It definitely isn’t another take on Dior Homme Intense. I love the smell. The iris is luxurious and still fresh. There is a sweetness but it is far in the background. The peppery notes give it a masculine edge. It smells clean but also a bit sexy. It does stay too close to the skin, however. Wish the opening lasted a bit longer too. But overall, I think this is probably the best modern men’s designer fragrance that you will find at your local mall / beauty products store. 9.2/10

I've been holding off on leaving a review because of something I couldn't figure out. In the department store Gentleman Boisee smells AMAZING! I ordered a bottle online from a reputable discount dealer and what I got was tame by comparison. Such a disappointment. I thought some time would fix it, nope. I went back to Dillards and sampled again and it was AMAZING! FUCKING AMAZING! There must be different batches. There could even be totally different formulations. People complaining of zero longevity, it's nose blindness. 30 minutes of wearing and I can't smell the fragrance anymore. If I put my nose to my arm I can smell the classic ambroxan, metallic, nose blind profile. If you get the right bottle this fragrance is AMAZING. If you get what I received it's trash.

Dang this smells amazing. The Iris note really compliments the Wood and Geranium. Creates a nice Woody smell with some bits of freshness sprinkled on top. This scent isn't really underrated per se but if you look at the other flankers, its kind of forgotten due to the other flankers : Reserve Privee as an example, which is kinda nice since you dont have 5 other guys in a room smelling like the same scent you're wearing. The only thing that kinda sucks is the longevity. You can fix this issue with vaseline tho for an extra hour or so i personally just dont like vaseline on my neck. Perfect for guys who are mid to late 20s who want to smell sophisticated with a hint of sexiness. Best used for dates and office usage (1 spray less imo). 8/10

While I find the Eau de Parfum Boisee genre typically “masculine,” its elements of masculinity are elegantly and truly refined; more European, or Asian; but not necessarily American. This is a fragrance for a man who’s down-to-earth but not course, unrefined, nor trashy. He prefers to use a lubricant that he purchased as opposed to one he did not. He prefers to bathe first, even if just got out of the shower an hour before. In short, a man’s man, a gentleman regardless of his background or the stations in his life that enabled him to evolve and persevere. Quintessentially, he is the joy of living as only the best know it to be. And he is humble because he believes and knows a higher calling persists — constant and true.

This smells so good! This Gentleman lineup gets better with each new release. I just picked this up finally & boy am I glad! Just my opinion but this could easily be signature worthy, as long as you’re in a climate controlled environment. It’s Spring-time now in Sydney so I’m eager to test this out. It’s just so good. I don’t want to shelve this beauty till fall! This has excellent performance: 8+ hours Projection: Pushes out the first hour or so. Afterwards, you have a scent bubble 1-2 metres for the duration of the fragrance. (Depends on how many sprays.) Sillage: The duration of the fragrance. As you move, you will catch wafts, as will others. For me this is backup bottle worthy! 10/10

There’s no powdery iris to cloud the scene, just a rich type of wood that lingers. It’s deeper, more human. The soul of the Gentleman line distilled to its most wearable form.

This is the only fragrance in the Givenchy Gentleman EDP line that I actually like. None of them are bad, but this one stands out to me which is why I bought it. This is a very refined smell that isn't imposing, but is definitely memorable. I don't think every fragrance should be beast mode, and this is the perfect example of why. I probably wouldn't like this if it was super loud and demanding to be noticed for 12 hours. This lasts more than long enough for a date night and almost long enough to last throughout a workday, especially if you spray on clothes. The people that get close to you will smell this and like this, people 4 meters away won't smell it unless it's sillage.

This is an amazing elegant formal type scent. The iris is there but much more subtle than others in this type. The pepper is a nice touch and balances it out well and gives it an interesting touch. Drydown is smooth woody iris with a hint of patchouli. I love this stuff, maybe not my wifes favorite, but its different enough to be interesting but smells good enough to please most. Performance Id say is about average. Longevity is probably about 5-6 hours, projection moderate/low for about 2 hours. Perfect for a nice date out or at a formal event. 9/10 for me and is in my current rotation.

When you own 150 fragrances, it's really hard to be impressed anymore, but this is VERY nice and I don't understand the mediocre 4.04 rating. The EDP is rated 4.22 and I think this should be much closer to that, but I suspect the woodiness has put off some people who are looking for Iris with this line. So yes, this doesnt rely on Iris quite as much, but it blends the woody notes with the Iris perfectly and there is still plenty of powdery Iris. Performance is great, scent is great and the price is reasonable so this would be a good purchase for most people - if you can find it.

Givenchy, you beaut! The entire Gentleman franchise is a vibe. Yes, even going back to the original of the 70s. It’s all in the name, baby! Gentleman... This is familiar but also a refreshing novelty. It’s both a crisp & fresh green, as well as powdery woodsy. Don’t be fooled by the iris and patchouli: this is all man. But a clean, stately man. With just enough rough to not be gruff. If you get my meaning... Decent longevity and projection. I like to be able to catch a whiff or three of my fragrance during the course of the day. And this does that. It grabs a few comps too.

I don't love the opening to this. The geranium is really off putting for some reason to me but once it dries down that changes. Smooth iris on top of different woods with a slight hint of patchouli and an even slighter hint of cacao. This is a little bit different than the usual "men's cologne" seeing as there isn't a strong sweet vanilla which I think is very nice. Smells like a well made rich man, not much more to say. Wouldn't pay retail especially with performance as lacklustre as this, but for a good price it is definitely worth picking up. Very masculine and mature!

Very crisp and dry woods layered over with a subtle yet elegant iris. The cacao really sticks out to me later in the dry down giving it a slight gourmandy sweetness making it smell quite unique. Only downside really is the performance i really wish it projected more as it likes to sit really close to the skin, longevity its pretty good. I have reserve prive too, i really like it, smells very elegant and the performance is very nice. I must say the scent of boisee is awesome, definitely my favourite in the line. its just that performance is a bit of a shame. 😕

Such a classy, manly scent. I think It’s more suitable for those over 30. To be honest, this is how I’d like to smell during the fall and winter seasons, especially freezing cold-snowy/rainy-windy night outs. It definitely has a niche-quality vibe. Once, in a setting I was in, a woman who was close to me leaned in even closer just to smell the fragrance better. This scent definitely grabs attention. It may not be very suitable for everyday or daytime use, but of course that’s a personal preference. This fragrance will always have a place in my collection.

Gorgeous fragrance. Initially I got almost a dark chocolate feel paired with the iris. However further wearings the cacao felt noticeably more dusty, powdery, and soft. Almost like cocoa powder versus standard dark chocolate. But that iris is still prominent, though less in your face than the EDP or Reserve Privee. Finishes with a beautiful woody drydown with the iris and cacao still lingering. Performance is alright and longevity is good. Love this for the Fall/Winter season, especially Halloween thru Christmas because of the elegant cozy factor. 8.5/10

I was gifted this fragrance, along with the EDP and this is head-and-shoulders ahead of the EDP. Boisée is elegant, refined and well-blended, perfect for a day suit. I wore this in summer (26 degrees Celsius) with a suit and it worked perfectly. The longevity is great for the scent, around 8 hours, projecting moderately (around arms length) for the first 2 hours) and has a beautiful, soft sillage. This is a scent you dress up for, but it’s not necessarily a “special occasion” fragrance. It is a great fragrance! Rating: 4.5/5 Recommendation: Buy

Givenchy Gentleman EDP Boisée Cinnamon, pepper, floral-soapy (the iris probably), orange, earthy, cocoa powder (matte), vanilla, fresh green wood (cedar), subtle sweetness...sandalwood. The two wood types combined with the other aromas, leads to an oak perception at times. These powdery tones subsequently turn more creamy...chocolatey. I really enjoy this fragrance...the top notes at the very start seem to lean rather heavily on the floral side, to the point it becomes quite soapy (not necessarily bad)...yet it then balances out much better.

I have mixed feelings on extreme ends about this one... Such a nice smell, absolutely masculine, bitter sweet and woody opening, makes you think this could be one of the best things you have ever worn... gets you hyped up easily! Then you realize there is no projection, very displeasently surprisingly short longevity... very unfortunately, we are talking about 15 to 25 minutes here. It makes you think, what if the performance was even avarage? It could have easily been one of the best ever. All in all, I am dissapointed...

One of my favourites for the colder weather. Light but complex scent because of the cacao, little bit powdery iris, the various wood and the spicy opening. I find it sweet & vanillic personally, maybe because of the cacao in it. It's intoxicating to me. Not the strongest but it last long and projects just enough. Many call it a date scent but is easily a winter singature worthy fragrance. Simpy put, sexy, masculine, elegant. A must have for the colder seasons. I will always have 1 bottle in my collection that's for sure.

Exceptional creation, subdued performance. One of the best of the Gentleman line, in terms of scent. Far better than the thick, boozy Privee. However, the performance is decidedly lackluster, in both longevity and sillage/projection. This may be a benefit in environments sensitive to fragrance, or office settings, but I personally prefer something that will last and project for at least a couple hours. This (at least for me) does not. But it is damn good. I love it regardless and just spray it on as a feel-good frag...

I bought the Givenchy Gentleman Boisee and I’d rate it an 8.5 out of 10. The scent is a great mix of woody and spicy notes, which I really enjoy. It starts with a strong pepper and geranium aroma that feels bold and masculine. As it settles, the iris and cedar come through, adding a nice balance. The longevity is impressive, lasting probably 7 hours. However, it can be a bit overpowering if you use too much. Overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking for a sophisticated and long-lasting fragrance

Incredible fragrance. Givenchy is up there for my personal favorite designer brand when it comes to perfumes. This one in particular is seemingly attention grabbing. The opening has just the right touch of black pepper and geranium while the dry down opens into this iris and sandalwood accord. This scent has good longevity, and I would recommend wearing during the cooler months. You should be able to pull compliments easily with this one, and don't be afraid to wear to the office! 8.5/10.

Givenchy Gentlemen Boisee is definitely the best in the givenchy line in my opinion. While the opening smells harsh for the first 2-4 minutes it dries down into one of my favourite type of wood scents. Sandalwood. The iris in this fragrance is very well done but not done as well as dior homme intense. the cocoa pod note is a bit strange, i cant smell it but ive seen others that do, neither with the patchouli, other than those two it smells like wood geranium and spices which i love.

I LOVE THIS SCENT! I got this fragrance as a gift for Christmas and I've been in love with it and rocking it everyday this winter. It initially starts off as a woody and slightly floral, but when it dries down it becomes amazing. The wood scent is not overpowering and the Iris and Cacao note really make it unique. It becomes sweet and chocolate and a bit woody too. Amazing everyday scent for the cold, maybe spring. Very masculine I would wear this to meetings. 9/10 fragrance for me.

I absolutely love this scent! A little spice from the black pepper in the opening, a perfect blend of iris and woods in the dry down. I have heard this described as a cross between Dior Homme Intense and Dolce & Gabbana The One, which I think describes this scent perfectly. The longevity isn't bad, but it could be better. I get about 6 hours, projecting arms length for the first few hours. Easily my most worn fragrance this winter, I can't recommend this enough!

Simply put, Gentleman Boisee is stunning. 💓 It's such a beautifully crafted fragrance that exudes class. Everyone should have this in their collection. It's the perfect balance of Iris and Woody notes and can be worn at any time, for any occasion. The addition of Cocao is subtle, but works incredibly well. Admittedly, longevity could be better, and an improved formulation tackling that issue would make this scent a perfect 10. That being said, I love this.

Nose Note #417 Up close it reminds me quite a lot of Dior DHI, and I don't like it much. But in the air, damn... This is so good. I've sprayed on my body and clothes and out of all things it reminded me of Armani Code Profumo DNA which I love dearly. It does have faint similarity to D&G The One and YSL La Nuit de l'Homme (less so to the latter), but it's quite a lot stronger. I don't like the iris note in perfumery, but here it's just perfect. 9/10

This is the way! Why get YSL Y, yeah the apple note is awesome but your buddy's wearing it. This one is cool. Ordered the travel size from Givenchy to get a sample of Society Extreme (which I hated). I compare it to Givenchy EDP like most people, but it's lighter. It's the lipstick in the breeze scent. Boisee / Breezy. Got good reactions with women, good for talking and dancing, if only I was more confident, especially with club music.

Edit: Last night I realized I had a free sample of Gentleman Boisee I never used since I had purchased the bottle and I gave it a test. The difference is in the opening! They dry down the same. I checked the batch code and found the sample was from 2023. The batch code on my bottle was 2024. The opening on my bottle is so tame and meh. The opening from the sample just punches through and starts your day right.

My signature. Clean, sophisticated, while casual and easy to wear in most situations. While it may be slightly lipsticky or powdery to some, to me it comes off as smooth and creamy. Nothing but positives about the scent itself. The longevity is mediocre and the silage is intimate, but that's exactly what I want from this fragrance. A nice date night cologne that isn't overpowering.

Stunning iris fragrance, probably the best of that 'genre'. But the crappy performance and longevity are criminal given the high price. Givenchy is guilty of this repeatedly - beautiful fragrance one can't buy because it's too much money for juice that disappears in a couple of hours. Would be the perfect office fragrance if the longevity were improved.

The iris and this cologne are so well blended it smells absolutely wonderful. A really underrated fragrance for daily wear at school, and or special occasions to smell the best in the room all the time. Works really well during winter lasting 4-6 hours sure it's not the best but the scent is too good. Just re-apply to have decent projection.

I like this. This & Prada Lhomme Intense have been my rainy day fragrances lately. They just vibe good with that kind of weather. There’s also a surprising place where this fragrance shines, the gym. I’ve noticed that in the gym, this creates just a super clean soft woody scent that is not overpowering. Give it a try trust me.

This was the fragrance that made me fall in love with iris scents. It's very similar to Dior Homme Intense, but warmer and more woody. Highly recommend this for fall/winter date nights. It performs pretty well too; it's not extremely strong, but it isn't supposed to be, and it lasts enough.

There is something about this fragrance that I can't keep getting enough of. It's so seductive and sexy that you would naturally get compliments from! Don't be like me and sleep on this beautiful scent. If you like iris definitely this is for you! 9.5/10 for this sexy amazing fragrance

No issues with longevity at all (I spray on clothes, rarely on skin). This is a masculine scent yet with lovely iris that doesn’t smell like a woman’s makeup kit. * It has the same artificial woody sweetness as Bvlgari Wood Essence (not necessarily a bad thing as both smell good).

If James Bond, John Wick, and Sherlock Holmes walked into a elevator, this is what it would smell like. Gentleman Boisée is masculinity and class in a bottle in every way, except for performance. It's a step or two above The One EDP, which is by no means impressive.

This is a nice powdery fragrance, I see Bunta (the GOAT) Fujiwara wearing it while he’s drifting down Mount Akina in his AE86 before he got his GC8 STI. Anyone 21+ can wear this cologne, feel clean & reserved, and know they’re not being “loud” with their fragrance.

Sure, a beautifully blended scent I love it but the performance is abysmal. Even in cold weather with 3 sprays I get below average projection and longevity and let’s not even talk about sillage. I may have to up the sprays to like 12 perhaps then it may perform.
