Gentleman Eau de Toilette Intense

Givenchy Gentleman Boise is what really kicked me into moving beyond the few fragrances I always kept and rotated depending on the season. I still think the Boise is the best in the line only because of its versatility and freshness for a dry iris and wood scent. There's nothing syrupy about Boise and now, a few years later, I finally pulled the trigger on intense. Is it as good as people seem to suggest? To me, yes. Is it as unique? I don't know. I don't really care how unique a fragrance is: if it works for you, it works. That said, I feel like I'm wearing jazz club without all the booze. Does anyone else find gentleman intense 80% or more the same as jazz club? Now that I have both, I need to try each on an arm and see, but if I'm not imagining the similarities, it almost makes this fragrance even more brilliant. Let me explain. If you haven't put your nose in jazz club, make sure you do asap. It is flat out gorgeous and dripping with a boozy sexiness that is hard to explain. When I first tried it, I immediately thought of the first time I tried la nuit du l'homme. I was in my early twenties and had been wearing burberry brit almost exclusively for a few years when I followed my girlfriend at the time into a Sephora. While she wandered along the one side of the store adorned with women's perfumes, I headed to the opposite side out of boredom. I remember a very attractive young woman coming up to me and grabbing my arm with both hands as if we knew one another while she excitedly told me "you have to try this new ysl fragrance that we just got in recently! It will blow your mind!" She continued to hold my arm beyond what anyone would consider appropriate for the situation, led me to the bottle and 🤯! She first sprayed the inside of my arm and excitedly inhaled deeply as the tip of her cute nose brushing the inside of my forearm. She stood back up strait and made an audible moan that instantly made me think of doing blow with a few hot sorority girls my friends and I knew in college because that's the sort of pleasure she seemed to get out of it. Well, needless to say I bought as much as my bank account would let me. This is the original release that lasted all night and left a trail behind you that women would instinctively follow like sharks following a trail of blood in the ocean to a bleeding fish. Jazz club is like that. It is incredibly sexy and nearly universally beloved by nearly every woman I've encountered in any environment or situation, or read from any comments or online reviews. But it's a date fragrance and a boozy one at that. Which brings me from 3 degrees of fragrance separation back to the one I intended to comment on. I wasn't expecting it, but gentlemen intense is like a more versatile jazz club. It's close enough to my nose to be a dupe of jazz club. At the same time, where it differs is the heavy booze note which is what requires such a unique situation and environment to pull off. If you wear jazz club to work, your co-workers will think you showed up to work after a few drinks or still awake and directly in from a crazy all-nighter. In place of the jazz club booze, gentleman intense has a green note (I think from the basil) that somehow had a much bigger impact than it should. Its like someone you've known for years putting on a pair of glasses and suddenly transforming into a completely unrecognizable stranger. It's the same basic fragrance, but that little twist just makes it so much more versatile and office/daytime friendly. So all that's to say that if you love smelling sexy AF when you're out on a date or dressed to the nines while out for the night and you're tired of wearing the usual suspects at the office, you can now smell just as good no matter what time of day or season without worrying about your boss surprising you with an intervention for what they assume is your drinking problem. I know Givenchy gets a lot of hype from the community for a designer house, but to my taste, they really are a cut above the rest. This, gentlemen only, Boise, the original and the edp all stand on their own. I hear the classic pi is worth trying as well. Reserve privy was too similar to Boise but with a boozy note again. Regardless, this house just does fragrance right.

For me personally this is a near perfect scent. It's what renewed my interest in fragrances after a long time. This is a scent of the quality of Bvlgari Black or Dior's hypnotic poison. Hard hitters in my book. Unapologetic potentially disastrous scents for those who go too far down the rabbit hole. I wouldn't consider this a safe blind buy for the masses. for one thing it's shunned in the Gentleman line and takes some hate. So right there you can see its for a different crowd. Some reviewers here, like myself, find this addictive to our scent junky nature. Scents that make a statement when you enter a room.I'M HERE and I SMELL GREAT and you all love it don't you. Enveloping mysteriously darker scents not everyone understands nor cares for. This is the Scent I had been waiting for. I first got a whiff of this at my mother's funeral worn by my uncle Norman. We were in a moment of grief and when he walked up to give me a hug I just reveled in what he was wearing. He said givenchy intense...left the gentleman out and I ended up buying Insence ultramarine. On my second stab I opted to find an online best price that led me to Fragrancebuy.ca (highly recommend). I picked up Intense , Boisee and EDP semi blind but having read reviews and known the DNA of Intense. I always review fragrances while wearing them . What hits me is that it's dry woody smoky masculine. Definitely seductive gentleman territory. It's thickened with a lush vanilla that hangs under a powdery smoke haze. Earlier when I sprayed it on I got some faint floral blueberry like note that comes and goes. This is like many of the scents I like, Enveloping, warm but a seriously luxurious blend. It's refined and wears the gentleman name extremely deservedly so. For me this is date night or night out for good food in a good spot. It's very rich in scent so dosage in spraying is everything. I feel it could cloy on overspray and rub people the wrong way in close proximity. it's INTENSE for a reason. It's smoky woods. I believe women can pull this off because it reminds me a lot of hypnotic poison from Dior...don't freak out i didnt say smells like I said is reminiscent. The vanilla is carefully blended to be present without softening the gentleman too much and remain Tuxedo worthy. I should put this one in my top faves ...I end up liking too many scents.

This is a winner. What a well-blended perfume GGEDTI is. The only other modern Gentleman I have to compare is Reserve Privée, a sweet gourmand late night fragrance, but EDTI is quite different. Gentleman EDT Intense is clean, sophisticated and gentlemanly, complex, and yet still very versatile. It opens fresh and citrusy, but citrus note quickly gives up to fresh clean Spices and Cypress. While not listed, I can distinctly pick out Cumin - or at least a combination of notes provide a very similar feel. Together with the greens of Cypress, Basil, and Cardamom, it creates a clean, sophisticated, refreshingly spicy aroma - but not sweet spicy - think vaguely similar to Declaration by Cartier, minus the sweaty part. This stage continues for the most part of the fragrance. With time you can start picking up the Iris note in all that spiciness. As it settles, Iris and Cardamom slowly take over the clean spices, forming a sweetish powdery but - like a true Gentleman - restrained base. Iris is prominent but never too strong, never too sweet or lipsticky, never the main note. It doesn't get cloying or draws attention, but closely rides the line. If you're looking for beastly Iris fragrances like Prada Pour Homme or Dior Homme Intense - GGEDTI is not that. Prada is for attention, Gentleman EDT Intense is for subtlety. This concludes in a soft, powdery, woody aroma that has iris and woods in it, and coumarin turns the clean-spicy into warm-spicy - very cozy and inviting. Speaking of note strenght. Gentleman EDT Intense is so well blended - and you can clearly pick up most of the listed notes - but it's difficult to pick out key notes that "make" the fragrance. Because GGEDTI is a great and coherent blend, where notes are subtle and take turns as the fragrance evolves. The citrusy opening, the clean spices, the sweet iris - nothing is too strong - it's just perfect. This makes for an excellent versatility, making it a true all-rounder of a fragrance. Office, nights out, everyday - you have all your bases covered. Performance is also decent. Absolutely great fragrance.

First of all, it DOES NOT smell like Dior Homme Eau. Not even close. I don't feel/smell the resemblance. I own Dior Homme 2017, Dior Homme Intense 2019, a decant of Dior Homme Eau. DHE leans more zing(reminds me of ginger or YSL L'homme), Iris forward with aquatics and doesn't have the sweetness like GGEDTI. What I smell from Gentleman Intense is fresh opening and sweet powdery drydown. To my nose, I get a lot of basil and I guess the greeni-ness/pine is from the cypress. It could be the cardamom. Sorry, I'm not an expert of breaking down notes. It stays for about an hour and after that is sweet powdery iris. The perfume pyramid is quite accurate. Performance wise, the longevity is insane. I applied one spray on my inner elbow after I showered the night before to bed and it is still going! It is pushing 12+ hours and I can still smell it. Keep in mind, this is July and the highs is near or over 100* fahrenheit and night lows are in the high 60s-70s. Projection is arms length. Nothing too crazy but for this scent profile, it's amazing! All in all, if you want a safe iris fragrance that's not too heavy, meaning not lipsticky like Dior Homme line and is wearable(not overtly powdery like Dior Homme line), get Gentleman EDT Intense. This can be your signature scent because it checks most boxes. Safe for all occasions: work, dates, formal. All season except for high heat. It might be Not Safe For Work since I think this is perfect for dates because women will find this sexy as it dries down. I wanted to get either this or Prada L'Homme 'eau but I couldn't pass up on the price. I'd would like to try PLL in the near future. 10/10

I recently picked up Gentleman Givenchy EDT Intense from ForeverLux, and after spending some time with it, I’m excited to share my thoughts. The reviews I’ve read online were pretty positive, and I was on the lookout for something a little different from the usual fragrances in my rotation (Armaf, Versace, Polo, Prada, Tom Ford). At first glance, the term Intense in the name feels a bit contradictory to EDT (Eau de Toilette). When you hear Intense, you expect something bold, right? But this fragrance is actually a fresh and subtle take on something like Viktor & Rolf's Spicebomb Extreme—but without the heavy intensity. It shares a similar vibe with Prada L'Homme—though it's not as heavy on the iris—and Versace Pour Homme—but it dials down the citrus notes. What I really love about Gentleman Givenchy EDT Intense is that it strikes a perfect balance of sophistication. It’s woody, fresh, a bit sweet, spicy, with a slight creaminess and floral undertones. It doesn’t make a dramatic statement or turn heads in the way some fragrances do, but it's a refined, crisp scent that draws you in. While it might not have the lasting power of some heavier fragrances, I find myself enjoying it enough to reapply midday. It’s just that pleasant to wear! If you’re looking for a signature scent that’s classy yet easygoing, this could be a perfect fit.

Its the colder weather version of Dior Homme Eau for Men, now discontinued & also owned by LVMH; Givenchy EDT intense is a great 3 season scent that makes the entire Givenchy mens line useless once you get this one. Its a shame Givenchy is focusing on the Society line because their recent Society Sport entry isnt great. I wish the Gentleman line would introduce an EDT intense L'eau or Eau Fraiche . . Because adding citrus or aquatics to this DNA would make it identical to the legendary Dior Homme Eau For Men. . . Such a blunder that Dior under LVMH & Givenchy are neglecting warm weather iris. . . Seriously this stuffs great, compared to the other gentleman entries, this one has the best Iris note by far. EDP the spice & vanilla make the iris barely detectable. Yet intense EDT the iris is there the entire duration. This stuff is immaculate & I wish it was a 4 season scent but I still wear it during summer, this stuffs youthful but also mature, its sweet but not cloying or too sweet. Its basil & cypress add a crispness to it thats just stellar. GIVENCHY, owned by LVMH. . . You need to either bring back Dior Homme Eau for Men or release a warm weather iris, youre missing out on a large market... people still hunt down old bottles of it! This is literally a 90% copy of it & I love it

Personally, this is a fragrance that I will always have in my collection. On my 3rd bottle. Woody, spicy, and powdery. I want to mention that when you first open a new bottle of this beautiful stuff, the coumarin can seem a little too much as it dries but the good news is that once you get 20 percent into the bottle, the coumarin oils weaken and the iris oils come alive. This is a fragrance where the further you get into the bottle to let oxygen mix in and the longer it sits, the better the scent gets. Bergamot is very nice and quality in the opening. Nobody ever mentions that. You have to catch it as soon as it hits your skin because it doesn't last long but it's very enjoyable for the short time it lasts. The cardamom and basil are there as well. You get the powdery yet smooth iris in the opening and mid which smells great. Fresh blue iris. You can pick up the cypress, cedar and coumarin as well in the dry-down. This one is versatile for fall and winter. To me this is more of a relaxed, casual type of fragrance but you can dress it up as well. It brings compliments from women as well. For iris lovers this one is a must try I assure you. This one should cost more than it does. I can usually find it for around $45 which is a steal for a fragrance like this.

Givenchy Gentleman Intense is a sleeper hit, it's DNA is about 90% similar to JPG Paradise Garden but without the coconut and less sweet. It's a great fragrance and in my opinion tied for first place with 3 other Givenchy mens fragrances; Pi, Gentleman Society Extreme & Gentleman Intense. I love this fragrance, it's refined, last all day and isn't offensive, it's woody but crisp like a fresh fragrance. It's sweet but only just slightly. It's A true Iris fragrance. ONLY NEGATIVE; is the customer service in the u.s.a. they'll forget items, samples & promotions then not read your email, blame you & offer no compensation, worst of all the Givenchy Beauty customer support manager Harpreet does not read emails, she ignores return request thus artificially extending return window. It's corupt and bad business practices, they hire foreign workers who cant speak english & copy paste responses, i emailed them requesting a return & they responded "thank you for being a black ribbon member your order has arrived". The parent company LVMH obviously doesn't care. Dont purchase directly from them. BE WARNED. I had to send 50 emails, 6 phone calls, 2 calls to Givenchy headquarters in Paris and Facebook message & my issue never was resolved.

An interesting one, definitely try this one out before buying. Opening is really unique, a blast of greenery, cream and a bit of woods in the back. Top notes and cypress make for a really interesting opening which may be off putting to some, though it fades away rather quickly, after 15/20 min. Going into the mid and dry down it smells rather linear throughout the cycle, iris is the centre and core of this fragrance, woods just accent it and make it more rounded, wood and iris just blend together so well that I could not differentiate one from another, it is just one solid piece. Iris in this one is very soft and creamy, to me it resembles the creaminess and sweetness of the coconut, reminds me of it. Only thing that changes to me as the wearer, is the iris, it turns down the creaminess a bit and the woods peak out just a bit more, towards the 3/4h mark, while still remaining one solid piece. Overall a beautifully blended fragrance, only thing that sticks out is the opening. Lasts a long time, full day of work/school, moderate/light projection with 3 sprays (i usually am light on the trigger). Lightweight creamy iris fragrance, great for all year round use, less sprays in summer. Underrated, could be a cool unique signature.

This is my favorite from the Gentleman line. Folks on YouTube always go on about how nice Gentleman Boisee is... but for me, I find this profile more pleasing – leaning more urbane than woodsy. I also get better performance out of it. I love the fresher lean of the basil, bergamot, and cypress notes here. And the blending of the iris is absolutely gorgeous. Classy... mature... sophisticated... well-put-together. Longevity is pretty solid. Only moderate projection.... but this fragrance LOVES to be oversprayed – apply liberally; you won't regret it. This might be the ultimate work-safe fragrance – low-key FANTASTIC. Good all-season versatility too... absolutely signature-worthy. Controversial take — I think this is a better iris + cardamom blend than Le Male Parfum. Love this stuff. Ordered an extra bottle.

The best out of the whole line. I've tried Cologne, the regular EDT, EDP, and Reserve Privee. Only one I haven't tried is Boisee. What I love about this is how the iris doesn't outshine the woods at all. They mix together beautifully to create a lovely coherent scent. Never ventures too far with the iris, so it never goes into DHI territory of lipstick. This is much more chill and relaxed and wearable and that versatility makes the fragrance even better. Smells so good with the weather getting colder. I spray this at home and it's makes such a nice cozy bubble around you. If you're interested in the Gentleman line, just save yourself the time/money and get this straight away. Cologne is a different type of fragrance, but the rest are pretty much interchangeable and this is the one to get.

After a year of trying this scent, I love it. Its my favorite from Givenchy & my personal favorite iris DNA! The basil & cypress really elevate it A LOT, its a great 3 season scent & stellar! Honestly, Givenchy is really suffering with their warm weather scents, like the new society sport which is terrible! What they need to do is release a sport version of EDT intense. . Its literally a heavier version of dior homme eau for men. Which was sadly discontinued & also owned by LVMH! Seriously, if they used this fragrance & added more citrus and more of an airy level to it they'd have a legendary fragrance! This is Literally the cold weather version of Dior Homme Eau for Men! Come on Givenchy! Step it up! This is iris done better than anything else & one of my favorite fragrances of all time!

Got this because I was told it was similar to Dior Homme Eau. It's not, but it still smells fantastic. The vanilla really sticks out in this one. It's kinda like a more flowery, powdery, sweeter version of D&G The one. Creamy, seductive with just enough spice. Great projection and even better longevity. As a matter of fact, I’m shocked this is an edt. Really above average performance for an edt. Pretty versatile fragrance for cooler weather. The longer I’ve had time to use this one more, the more I’ve come to appreciate it. My favorite of all time is Dior Homme Eau, and even though this goes into a different direction, I’m glad this one exists. Iris is such a seductive note in a men’s fragrance, especially if done artfully. And this is a beautifully crafted fragrance.

I have this on today and as soon as I caught some whiffs of it on the drydown I knew I had something that had a very similar aroma. At first I thought it was Spicebomb Extreme so I put some of that on one wrist, they're in the same ball park, but it wasn't what I was being reminded of. I had a look here to see what others have said and I spotted D&G The One EDP, and then it hit me what it really reminds me of, not exactly The One EDP, but The One Intense EDP, the flanker in the all black bottle with gold accents. I put them side by side and they're really similar. The D&G is a bit creamier whilst the Givenchy has a bit more smoke to it. Two beautiful fragrances either way - perfect for the coming cooler months and both really well priced, even for designer stuff.

Para mi ésto es una joya, huele tan fresco, tan limpio y único. Puede ser formal e informal a la misma vez. Frescura + iris (Me encanta esta nota). Me sorprendió ver tantos comentarios negativos sobre éste pero al final todo es relativo en esta vida. Tengo 3 botellas de ésto y pienso comprar más cuando vea algún buen descuento porque aparte de tener un espectacular aroma tiene un decente precio. Conforme me he metido mas en este tema de los perfumes me resulta fácil detectar que perfume lleva alguna persona en la calle y me alegra saber que ésto es casi secreto, nunca lo he olido en alguien más. En mi opinión dale la oportunidad ya que es bastante fuera de lo común y recibe cumplidos. Duración piel 5 hrs Proyección 2-3 hrs Duración ropa 7-8 hrs

My bottle came in the mail today and I must say that this fragrance is really good!! Very fresh and slightly unique opening, cardamom, basil and iris is what I get off top. Creamy sweet dry down with a hint of some woods but you still get a bit of that freshness from the opening. Nice fragrance that's not to loud and I don't believe this will be offensive to anyone who may be in close proximity to you. For me it's a love and I really like the house of givenchy because so far I've never been disappointed with any of my purchases from givenchy. If you want a nice fresh crowd pleasing scent I suggest you get this one ASAP!! I paid 67.00 on Amazon for a 100ml bottle and I'm good with it and I'm happy to have this fragrance in my collection 😍

This was a wonderful surprise and a welcomed change! This is masculine to my nose & I’m glad this doesn’t follow the ultra sweet trend. It’s fresh but it also has body. The addition of basil adds uniqueness to the fragrance. All the notes are blended together beautifully! I think this is great for the office or casual. Very versatile, however I think the only season I wouldn’t wear this would be summer. The creaminess I feel would be cloying. If you work in a climate controlled environment you should be good to go. Another solid release from the Givenchy Gentleman line. Longevity: 7-8 hrs Projection 2 hrs strong. Afterwards an arms length scent bubble. You will be noticed, in a good way. Leaves a nice scent trail! ❤️ 10/10 👍🏽👍🏽

It’s truly refreshing to experience a fragrance like this in a time when the market is dominated by overly sweet and, frankly, uninspired scents (or "safe" as some might call them). This one stands out as a fresh, mature, and refined composition that still delivers excellent performance. Alongside something like Prada L’Homme, it’s undoubtedly one of the best everyday scents - especially well-suited for the office or school environment. The scent leans distinctly green, with prominent woody notes complemented by beautifully harmonized ingredients like basil, bergamot, and iris. It strikes a perfect balance - subtle yet captivating - which makes it hard to imagine anyone outright disliking it. A solid 8/10 from me.

Cypress and cedar domination with prominent elixir and slight cardamom at the beggining. Opening notes do not stay there for long, but they are quite pleasent additions. The scent quickly dries down to cypress and iris that we all know from the other flankers. The base has faint vanilla smell to it because of tonka, but it is not sweet or prominent. Dry, woody scent DNA with iris; take the sweetness out from the Boise and slightly mix Encre Noire in it and you will get this. Not super unique perhaps, but it is an amazing fragrance for the fans of the woody scents. Classy and mature without trying too hard. Performance is astonishing, despite not being EDP it lasts just as lomg as Boise, EDP and Reserve Prive.

Can't stop raving about this fragrance!! I'm considering buying a second bottle of this fragrance because it's that good to me. I have worn this fragrance multiple times and I love it💓 from the opening to the dry down this beautiful fragrance checks all my boxes ✅. Great for early spring, fall and winter months for me and I find the longevity is around 10+ hours or more on skin and clothing. That blue iris note is dominant in this fragrance but not to much, so if your a fan of Iris forward fragrances then I believe you will enjoy this underated gem 💎 of a fragrance. 10/10 fragrance for me and it's being sold on discounter web sites at fair price 💵 I paid 62.00 bucks for a 100ml bottle which I feel is fair.

OK this is review 18 months after my initial review: This is my truly signature scent if I ever have one. I've used almost 20ml out of my 60ml bottle and already got myself backup bottle. I'm a sissy sprayer who got 30+ bottles in my collection. Spraying 20ml within 18 months is HUGE. Smooth and sexy. But not really waxy and requires only suitwear for it to work. Something great for transitioning your afternoon (while you just spray, its green and fresh aspect still show up prominently) into the evening (when its cardamon iris drydown is in full effect). Or if you decide to spray in the morning around neck/shirt collar and forearm it'll still be able to carry itself toward the evening.

A nosegasm of spicy-minty white chocolate. Fresh, aromatic and creamy.The perfect combination of Iris, cardamom, cypress and a tasty almond coumarin made this jewel. Spectacular fragrance, my favorite from the Gentleman line. On the dry down it reminds me more of the EDP, but still fresh in comparison (the EDP is so strong that gives me headaches). You can get here spectrum of Prada L'Homme and Gentleman EDP DNA at the same time. So I just don't recommend the use in hot summer days, but it fits in all other occasions. Recently I've received a decant of this perfume to make tests, but the full bottle is on the way since the first time I've smelled it. Just love it!

This is a top notch iris fragrance that rivals others such as the grand daddy of masculine-based iris scents, Dior Homme. Do not let the EDT portion fool you, this lasts longer than the EDP based on my testing. This is a very aromatic take on iris and has an almost sparkling smell to it. While the fragrance is fairly linear, the more it dries, the more the tonka takes over and this becomes creamier and sweeter. If you do not like overly sweet fragrances, you will still do fine with this one, as it is not overbearing at all, just the right amount. This is a perfect signature scent as it works in any temperature, occasion or outfit. Just spray and pray.

After giving GGI a full wearing I've come to the conclusion that this is a nice fragrance that smells really nice. The iris in this fragrance is smooth and it really shines in the dry down which I love. I believe that the house of gevinchy has some very decent fragrances to choose from and I strongly recommend that you explore for yourself. Gevinchy Pi imo is a phenomenal fragrance launched in 1998 and I really enjoy wearing that fragrance as well because I have a great memory of my Big brother displaying that beautiful bottle on his dresser. RIP Al Harris and I will always associate gevinchy fragrances with the memories of my brother 🙏🏽.

I really like this fragrance, even from first sniff. It has some freshness, woodie with a touch of softness. Well blended but you can pick up on the notes listed as it transitions. This was the first of this line for me and recently picked up the EDP. They are not redundant and find the Intense more easier to wear. The EDP is more warm spicy (as listed) than I expected with the clove and cinnamon fairly prominent which has taken a few wearing to appreciate it more. At this moment I’m more of a fan of the Intense, smell the atomizer every chance I get. Performance is pretty good as most eluded to and worth the price at discounters.

For anyone who likes iris, this one is great. You definitely get the basil note 5 minutes into it and that does add a sense of freshness. Powdery iris but not overly so. Nicely balanced with woodiness and mild sweetness. Not groundbreaking but very pleasant. Not as soapy and light as Prada L'homme. Not as heavy as VUI/DHI. This falls right in between. Some might say that it's boring and run-of-the-mill but only if you are looking for something adventurous, and you shouldn't be looking for that in this one. Prada L'homme was my go-to office scent but this will serve as my primary moving forward. NICELY DONE.

One of my favorites from the Gevinchy line up!! I wore this fragrance to dinner with my wife tonight and it smells really good. If you like Iris like I do then you should definitely grab this one because it's a great fragrance that you could wear all year long except for high heat. Herbal, spicy, sweet fragrance that last a very long time and it's not expensive if you purchase on discount websites because I paid under 60.00 for a 100ml bottle on Amazon and I blind bought it because I'm familiar with the Gevinchy brand and so far I haven't tried anything from the house that I don't like.

A wonderful fragrance. I was between this and the EDP. Both are fantastic however I felt this was a little more versatile in the warmer climate I'm in! Powdery iris, woodsy, just tough to go wrong with this one in the office, casually, dressed up, even on a date. This lasts a good while on my skin, is reasonably priced at discounters, and is so inoffensive & easy to wear. It could definitely be one of those fragrances for someone looking to purchase something ultra versatile and introduce themselves to an easy going, very likable iris fragrance. I'd recommend this to just about anyone.

I love this scent. It’s well made, good quality, balanced and versatile. It’s elegant and classy but still fresh and clean. Soft and creamy but lively. Has a freshly cracked coconut shell woody vibe that is almost a tropical topping. It’s an office safe easy on the senses scent but also does casual cozy movie night. It is willing to do the close sweaty love on expensive hotel sheets thing if you'll go there. It’s very masculine but would be lovely on the right woman. If worn a first date you’re probably gonna get at least an 9 out of 10 on odour. It's a thing done very well I think.

I get a powdery iris, with a subtle hints of woods in the background. I first found it to be pretty close to Prada Lhomme leau but side by side the Prada is slightly fresher and more floral. Gentleman intense will make a great reach for spring, and cooler summer days, helping me to stretch out my wearings of Prada lhomme leau which is my favorite warm weather scent. I definitely will be putting this in the "love” category of my collection and cannot wait for warmer months to break this out. 9 out of 10

The greatest compliment I can give this is that even though I'm not too keen on either iris or violet (Reserve Privee is a bit too much for me), I consider this to be one of the best designer releases ever. I have sampled hundreds of niche scents at this point and own a fair few, but there is definitely a place for this in my collection. As most have said, it's not wildly explorative or unique, but it punches way above its price bracket and is a gorgeous scent. 9/10 (price taken into account)

This fragrance is stupid good. I left a long-winded review already that makes absolutely no sense, so here's the plain and short: every time I wear this fragrance, I cannot stop telling myself "goddamn, this smells so f'ing good!" over and over out loud. If I was a smarter man, I'd just wear this, get rid of the rest and stop purchasing new fragrances. But I'm not. Goddamn, it smells so good: it's just a perfect gentlemanly fragrance with way more class than I should be able to pull off.

A powdery, creamy, and fresh woodsy scent with a touch of spice. GGEDTI grew on me. Didn't like it at first but I wore it again to the gym the other day and I was hooked. The scent bubble was popping off me. This is a versatile, everyday wear that exudes sophistication. This might not be a blind buy worthy frag so order a decant before you commit to a full bottle. That's what I did and I HAD to buy the 100ml. No regrets for this one. 8.8/10

The Iris and cypress opening with basil gives the scent that fresh spicy feeling which I find a little invigorating. Perfect for that after a shave/shower spring in your step in the morning as you go about your business. As it dries down you get a powdery vanilla, woods with a very nice touch of caramel/toffee. I find the scent to be addictive and just lovely to wear, a perfect daytime scent for the gentleman. Very nice!

This scent smells exactly like the name suggests, a gentleman. This scent is fresh yet softly sweet, not a thick sweet like Y EDP, it is more subtle. Very powdery and woody. The scent almost has a resemblance to DG The One, as it also has cardamom and basil. I have never owned an Iris fragrance, as JPG Le Male Le Parfum kind of soured the Iris based scents for me. But if most Iris fragrances are like this, I am all in!

I'm excited to see what this fragrance is like? I'm digging the note break down and I love the bottle design on all of the gentleman fragrances. Givenchy is an underrated house that I believe deserves more love in this community and the quality of their fragrances aren't bad in my opinion. My package 📦 should be delivered soon and I will give my honest thoughts on this fragrance so stay tuned LoL 😂.

This is the most versatile out of the Gentleman line from Givenchy. Criminally underrated in my opinion. I like it better than RP and the EDP since this smells more unique and modern. The iris is present, but it's a clean fresh iris, not the sweet/cloying type. It lasts a long time too. This is a perfect office fragrance but it can do well on any occasion just not out in the heat. 9/10 for me. 👍

The more I wear this fragrance the more I love it. Some may not enjoy the opening of this fragrance but I love this from opening to finish. Great fragrance for the fall 🍁 and winter ❄️ months and on my skin and clothing this stuff goes hard in the paint!!! I love the house of gevinchy and you can find this online at a insane price💵 that won't break the bank!! Very good flanker IMO 10/10🔥🔥.

My favorite from the line followed closely by reserve prive. Last year when I saw the notes with cypress added I knew I'd love it and yep I still do. I wore this for the first time in a month or so earlier this week and I wore it the next day. I actually get considerable performance from this whereas the others I go nose blind quickly. Anyway for me a 9/10. Will always have a bottle.

Absolutely lovely. Just blind bought it and I am not disappointed in the SLIGHTEST. Absolutely beautiful woody iris fragrance. Not as soapy as Prada L'homme and not as lipsticky as Dior Homme Intense, but still incredibly pleasant and easy to wear. Great for the office or daily wear! Probably won't be great for high heat... but anything in between that, this fragrance fits the bill.

I love the intense sweet iris coupled with the semi fresh woodiness(that has a little warmth)I get from this fragrance. Love at first smell. It performs great on me, it feels sort of youthful and it's a linear (just the way i like things)scent. Great for spring and early fall. Elegant, and masculine for a predominantly floral fragrance. Extremely hard earned money well spent.

One of my best discovery this year! Such a great blend and scent overall. The notes speaks for it selfs. Fresh and bit spicy from the top, woody, creamy(very nice coumarin) and bit sweet from the middle and a base. Longevity is really good and the projection too. A little bit similar to Narciso Rodriguez for Him Bleu Noir Parfum. Just much smoother and easier to wear.

Great office fragrance with mid to good projection. Opening is controversial, but if you can get past that first hour, the well blended iris with greens and woods starts to shine. In the dry down its very similar to Reserve Privee, but instead of sweet its green. Good longevity, stays whole work day (8-10hrs) on your skin creating a nice scent bubble around you.

Absolutely a 10/10🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥the blue iris in this fragrance is awesome and that basil note in the opening along with that cardamom and bergamot is very refreshing to my nose. If you love iris like I do then you need to grab this one immediately because it's that 😊 good and the price online is a steal for what you get!! Very underrated fragrance from Gevinchy.

A really gorgeous fresh yet soft take on iris. To me this beats the Dior Homme Eau, this feels like it’s halfway between the original Homme and the Eau, smells like the Eau but with added sweetness and tonka. This has a very cooling vibe to it. Better than average performance. Very versatile but the Tonka kinda kills it for high heat/summer wear.

I love the classy iris laden smell and the overall presentation (I love the deep blue box in particular). However I found it to be a disappointingly modest performer in the winter, but surprisingly much longer lasting and projecting in warm weather - which is when it's also easily fresh enough to use. Liquid colour becomes more brown over time.

Blind bought this and i can't say i regret it. In the opening it's extremely woody and smells very generic and just overall not great, but don't be fooled as it quickly dries down to a very nice sweet and powdery iris scent which i'm a fan of. Performance is good too, i get around 8 hours of longevity with amazing projection.

Just love this scent....it's so intoxicating and makes a nice bubble around you which you can keep smelling for hours especially if you spray on clothes. It's a fresh Irish scent very likeable and not offensive, perfect for casual and office wear. I love this Givenchy line and will definitely collect them all! 9 out of 10 👍
