I smelled this at ulta the other day and after wearing it for a full day, I’m genuinely considering making this my new signature, it’s really unique and interesting while still being mass appealing and really versatile , it smells pretty dark and mysterious in a really good way but it also has a little bit of freshness. I’m assuming from the mint that stays with it the whole time so I can actually wear this in summer the bulk of the scent that I’m getting to my nose at least is this really interesting unique dark chocolate smell that I’m assuming is coming from the mixture of the coffee and the vanilla, kind of like a really, really high-quality mocha espresso shot but it’s not that edible smelling it’s just cool, so imagine that with a kind of green freshness radiating from it it’s not a sweet toothpaste mint at all it smells really similar to like an actual mint leaf if you ever smelt that, either way, I would definitely recommend trying this one out, especially if you’re looking for a year-round daily signature that still makes you stand out, it also lasts very long it projected on my skin for about 7 hours and lingered as a skin sent for about 10, it doesn’t project the farthest, but not bad either I can actually see this as a plus if it’s something you’re gonna be using very frequently, it’s not gonna overwhelm anybody for being too strong, but it’s also strong enough to where you can actually smell it, people are definitely sleeping on this go try it out if you have a chance!

#1174 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I'm used to mediocre performance from Givenchy scents, and I have to say original Gentleman Society is a very mediocre performer not worth owning. Not so with this flanker. This is a solid performer, and I really am digging the narcissus note in this EDP much more than the iris note in the EDT "Intense" version, which given how I love iris is saying something (Also, like most every "intense" scent, it isn't intense in any way). Usually narcissus is a note in a perfume for women, like the Chanel "Coco Noir" I'll be surprising a girlfriend with at dinner next week (Purely selfishness on my part as I would love to smell it on her). I also love that this has a ton of vetiver, orris and a nice sharp mint on top. The only masculine scent I've found narcissus in up until now is really a unisex scent: Acqua di Parma "Colonia Pura" which is one of only two colognes I've still bothered to keep, the other being Atkinson's "24 Old Bond Street Triple Extract." But now that I know this EDP is available I have banished all thoughts of ever buying another bottle of Colonia Pura. This is just a great scent. I could wish for a bit more spiciness, maybe some myrrh, or some olibanum, some cypriol, but I quibble. This is a great scent for business or pleasure and I'm getting a full bottle. I think this is fine for anytime, anywhere use. Price is not unreasonable for the quality. Good luck and good hunting.

Fragrance Notes : Top Notes: Clary Sage, Peppermint, Nutmeg. Mid Notes: Coffee, French Narcissus, Madagascar Vetiver, Haitian Vetiver, Vetiver, Orris Root. Base notes: Australian Sandalwood, Madagascar Vanilla, Himalayan Cedar. Fragrance Review First thoughts, this is extremely similar to the OG Gentleman Society, this is an aromatic/coffee scent. Very similar to DHI + Valentino Uomo Intense. - The first few seconds after spraying this, you get a blast of Powdery aromatic sweetness that lasts for about a few minutes before the Coffee and Vanilla scent appears. - After about an hour, you should notice it's just the original Gentleman Society from the mid to the drydown. - I sprayed a total of 5 times. Twice behind each ear, twice on the front of neck, and once in front of my chest. The projection and longevity is okay, it lasts approximately 7-8 hours on my skin, and projects about 40 minutes before it turns to a skin scent. (Depends on skin types ) Overall Rating (8/10) - A nice release, but not a 'must buy'. It's very similar to the original Gentleman Society but this is mixed with Coffee rather than cardamom. Highly recommend you to try this first.

Gentleman Society Eau de Parfum Extrême Givenchy It's a 24 release which I added after buying the 25 Ambrée which is really great, one of the best 25 release so far for me. This Extrême is underrated and not much talked about. It follows after the Gentleman Society line and dna with added coffee notes, mint and sandalwood. Sampled these at Sephora before making a call to land the Ambree first before getting this Extreme now It's a really rich, warm, addictive scent, with that main dominant warm cozy coffee with vanilla pushing the support. Powdery aspects there. Orris rooty support there. Manly yet not over musculine. Starts off a little minty too and drydown to a cozy vanilla sandalwood with rather prominent Vetiver. Expect some low level spiciness at the start too. Longetivity is decent. Half day at least. I'm thinking those who like TFFB may also like this as there seems to be some vibes/similarities in the background. Still say for recent releases for darker scents, this house handles the releases with overall better style than some other designer houses with their darker flankers. A very good warm cozy coffee vanilla scent.

This is an absolute gem from Givenchy. The OG was good, if not quite a bit understated. I liked it. This 'extreme' flanker, is better in almost every facet. I'm not a fan of the naming conventions, so 'extreme' doesn't really fit here if I'm being honest. It is an 'amped-up' flanker, with added notes giving a warm, vanillic-coffee feel, but it retains a lot of the soft woodiness that made the OG a very subtle, yet enjoyable wearing experience. This won't punch you in the face, but it is more potent. It won't fill a room, but that makes it considerably more palatable in a wider range of situations. The orris gives it enough of what I can only call a 'rich' powdery feel, which adds to the smooth overall character this has. You most likely won't see this being hyped on tiktok/youtube etc... and for that I am grateful. One thing worth noting here: This is a very versatile cooler-weather fragrance. This can be worn with pretty much everything, and fit right in. I'd wear it with a suit to a wedding, or with jeans and a hoodie to lunch. It just smells good. Almost like it 'adapts' to the wearer. It is a winner.

This is like a Swiss army knife of popular fragrances. It has so much in common with quite a few other really good scents. Her white in black amber/vanilla which people say smells like Layton without the mint. Then the floral pop iris with a touch of violet like in V. Uomo which is similiar to so many other pop iris scents. For me the best association I get and the real highlight of this fragrance is the amber infused musk. Very similar to the amber infused musk in La Nuit de L'homme. It starts right away and lasts so much longer with way better projection. Peppery incense, sweet amber musk, powdery vanilla, earthy woods, with smooth florals and hints of peppermint throughout. It has a dark earthiness along with the cool sweetness and vanilla that is probably best described as an iced coffee. It's really quite aggressive the first hour or two and it either mellows some or I start getting some nose blindness. I can still smell it on my skin no problem throughout an 8-9 hour go. It's also quite aggressive with how hard it seems to be trying to be so much.

really nice fragrance. opens up with a nice blend of warm spices and subtle mint. no particular note is overpowering or sharp. they're very well blended and pleasant. as it dries down, you pick up on some more aromatic and powdery accords with a really nice coffee nuance. it isn't overly dark or bitter. it's more of a sweet latte or macchiato type of note than a black coffee. i wish it was more prominent but it's still nice as is. there is a powdery / diffusive nature to this one so it doesn't wear super heavily. the sweetness level is also perfect - enough to make it mass appealing and cozy without being cloying or obnoxious. i really enjoy this one but i know a lot of people will hate on it because admittedly, it isn't very unique or different. but whatever it does, it does super well. i'd say you can wear it any time in neutral and cold weather. casual, formal, day, night, indoor, outdoor, anything is fine as long as the weather isn't too hot. scent profile - 9/10 longevity - 8/10 projection - 6.5/10 sillage - 8/10 usability/versatility - 8.5/10

I am with funk // this reminds me distinctly of when I first started to LOVE good high quality coffee, naturally sweet, light-medium roast, no sugar or sweetener, they say it's an iced coffee infusion, which I totally agree with as well, unfortunately this beautiful coffee opening only lasts about 2 hours, then it dries down to about 85% similar to OG GS, I adored the Cardamom and Palo Santo notes of the original, this is a much more invigorating and perhaps more youthful take on the OG, I wouldn't say it is more or less mass appealing, I appreciate and look forward to what Givenchy is giving us, nobody is doing it like them, they were kind of trying to create a gap in the market that wasn't quite successful, seeing is they kind of returned to form with Ambree, which is by wide consensus, the best of this line, but I got a 200ml of this for under $100, and it has been my signature scent for the remaining winter months and into spring

At first, I didn’t like the opening to this. It was much earthier and drier than I anticipated right away. The mint was the most pleasing part but it disappeared quickly. Then after a few minutes, that soft coffee emerges alongside the vanilla, and what you get is this really nice, softly sweet and almost earthy vanilla latte thing. Every time I went and tested it, i liked it more than the last time. It’s got an addictive quality to it. If you want a loud coffee note you’re not getting it here. It’s subtle, but it really works. It’s totally different to the other trendy vanilla and iris concoctions being churned out at the moment. I’m not big on those because the vanilla is usually too sweet. The vanilla here is supported by the vetiver in a way that tempers the sweetness, giving it a darker, softer edge. Not a safe blind buy as I think the dryness of it won’t be for everyone, but if you can, definitely give this a try!

I'm starting to really enjoy this one. I'm a coffee drinker, I drink it plain. This like many others this doesn't give me much coffee association if any. Powdery, peppery, woody, musky, lighty sweet, smooth florals, hints of fresh mint that lingers throughout. Decent performance, doesn't matter if you spray more because you I go nose blind after a few sprays no matter what. Best I've found is to do 3-4 sprays then wait a bit to do another 3-4 before going out. This has that gentleman dna mixed with her black in white vanilla amber dna. Starts off pretty peppery but that seems to settle a bit after a few days and the pepperyness mellows. Wasn't very impressed at first but by day three or 4 in a row of wearing only this I can admit that I must really enjoy it. It's my favorite Givenchy for now. I just want to keep wearing.

1st this smells alot better than Gentleman Society alot richer and fuller. 2nd The longevity and performance is excellent on my skin which is key for me (longevity). 3rd The notes in this blend exquisitely on point. 4th This smells so classy and yet mature and masculine and playful at the same time. 5th for $118 at Macys with a 15% discount I scored nicely been wanting to get my nose 👃 on this since I seen it and I am glad to say I own a 3.4oz bottle of this amazing juice 1. Smell 4.5 /5 Coffee Note fades in 30mins still good thoe. 2. Longevity 5/5 8-12 Hours easy. 3. Performance 5/5 Wife Approved. 4. Price 5/5 Not bad at all. 5. Seasons 4/5 Can be worn all year around except for day time summer ☀️ heat. Rating 5/5 for me. Glad I own this bottle goes nice with his buddy Privée another masterpiece. 😊

Gentlemen Society Extreme is incredible! As an avid coffee/espresso drinker ive always unironically hated coffee/gourmand fragrances. However, this is fantastic, its tons of vanilla, coffee & woods on top of that floral base the Society DNA is known for. . . It's also very crisp, airy & fresh, which is a bizarre combination to describe something that's also woody & coffee. Its definitely a new age gourmand, while its not technical an "edible" gourmand, the coffee is very smooth, powerful & blends great with the other notes. I love how its very aromatic also, very unique DNA. Its a great cooler season fragrance & last long. I love the entire Society line & look forward to the new Sport version this spring, only negative is a terrible customer service in the U.S.A from Givenchy/lvmh owned brands.

I got this one straight after the release , because the OG is one of my favorite scents for fall-winter. On the paper i loved it. And still love it. On my neck and clothes though, not only it disappears twice faster than the original , Sport and Ambree versions, but also the first hour i get this unpleasant scent of bitter dark chocolate amd raw coffee that doesn't evolve as nicely as it seemed to on the paper back in the day. I'm going through a second 100ml original bottle, but this one after 2 years still has 3/4 left in it. Definitely not a blind buy but overall, still is a dark masculine scent for formal occassions on cooler days which will get you compliments. My preference in the line as i own all of them is Ambree>Original>Sport>Extreme

So dang good. Smooth creamy and gourmand without being sweet. Coffee and nutmeg play well together and Givenchy has the iris note perfected. Smelled it at Dillards today but unfortunately they won’t sell it until March 1st. Going back next weekend to pick this up. Probably better than reserve prive. Update: got my bottle. On skin this stuff has very strong performance for the first couple hours. One spray easily went beyond arms reach. After it dries it settles down and is less powerful but still noticeable. This stuff was nuclear the first hour or so. It’s been about 4 hours and still projecting. Vanilla is very prominent in the dry with some creamy iris. I’m a huge fan of smooth creamy fragrances so this is easily 10/10 for me.

Got me a sample and tested it for 3 days. I love this fragrance and I'm planning to buy a bottle once it hits discounters. The coffee note is very strong in the opening. It's more like the smell of freshly ground coffee, which persists for a minimum of 20 minutes. The dry down is so much better, it's sweet, woody and a bit earthy. The dry down reminded me of the Valentino Uomo parfum, but much less sweet and bubblegummy. Society Extreme is way more elegant, intriguing and sexy. This could easily be your date/special event fragrance. I agree with other members that this scent suits men over 30 y/o better. I don't t recall the OG Society causing this impression on me, I might have to try again.

I am not a big fan of regular Society, mainly due to complete removal of the Iris note and the infamous ''triple vetiver'' combo. This one is a whole another page, however. This is one of the most unique designer fragrances you can buy on the market, nothing smells like it. It is very woody and sweet, with coffe-vanilla combo creating an almost Latte vibe and Iris powderiness that we all love. However, this still has a triple vetiver combo that makes the composition a bit weird (not exactly in a bad way since it is subdued by the sweetness). I also hated narcissus in the precious edition, I am glad that I cannot smell it AT ALL. Very good release and also strongest in the gentleman line.

This one came as a sample, intriguing. "Narcissus, Iced Coffee and Wood." Well done! I recognise the powdery here from the 80s somehow, interesting... But look at this, WOW! This is how perfumes should be listed, world class, bravo! Who doesn't want to wear this gem? Givenchy gentleman society is one of the best fragrance in my collection as of now , it opens up quite fresh with the peppermint , it then turns to a more powdery scent with a woody background . The orris gives it a nice powderiness troughout the whole time we wear it , in the drydown I smell a "caramel" note , I think it comes from the coffee note with the vanilla . Longetivity wise i get around 8h on skin It projects quite closely , not a room filler (I use 3 spray) To sum it up , a really well blended fragrance with good longetivity and a nice inoffensive scent with it own twist I recommand buying ! (2nd review , tell me what I can improve )

The opening of this is so addictive. The minty dark iced coffee vibe is strong when you first spray it and it's to die for. Unfortunately it doesn't last the longest (the opening) but it does stay long enough for you to enjoy it. As it drys it keeps the minty woods and leans slightly green which I assume comes from all the vetiver in this. This is 100% an upgrade from the original and earns it's right as a flanker. Only complaint is the same with most designers, the performance. It stays on skin for a good 5-6 hours and projects decent for the first hour. However my bottle is brand new so hopefully with time this stuff becomes more potent.

Nice subtle ground coffee - darkened - slightly powdery slight airy freshness from the vetiver. For coffee there are better scents - Think Follow Me by House of Kerosene or Pierre Guillaume Sambaka . This however is a toned down smoother copy of Polo Red Intense - which I love but is OTT and not great for professional presentation. The opening has a remarkable fruit punch that dries down leaving a dark damp coffee ground with vanilla and a touch of green airiness. It doesn’t strike out as very powerful but it lasts a good while at a not over baring strength making it nice for everyday use including business attire. Nice for the price.

I agree with Kru23, is very similar to the original especially in the mid. It is a slightly darker and less sweet take. In the opening is more pungent and strong (probably the nutmeg note?) but the dry down is much more interesting, without a vanilla overdose that nowadays is a big trend. I have it since 3 hours on my skin and I still can smell under the wood accents a bit of coffee, sweet coffee, probably for vanilla note. It manages to become a woody scent very well rounded to the nose and gives the creamy feel like Jmac88 said. Worth having just if you super like the first one.

My go-to "stand out" scent. A sweet coffee vanilla scent that I believe works all year round. Definitely leans more cold and gets better use as a date night/special occasion, but I do enjoy wearing it elsewhere, including the office. I believe it is non-offensive and can just be used to smell good. The vibes you will give off with this are sharp, clean, mysterious, and maybe a bit seductive. Lasts great, projection is pretty good, and on clothes I can smell it the day after. This was the scent that really got me into fragrances and I love it.

There are a few embittered naysayers here. Silly really. Don’t mind them, as this is quite literally one of Givenchy’s best creations. Classy, well-rounded, and, if one knows anything about fragrance, the quality of the raw materials is instantly perceptible. The woodsy, leatheriness is well balanced against a grainier sweetness. And that trio of Vetiver is masterful! It’s very, well, gentlemanly. But a virile, younger gent. Bold. Never brash. And who cares that it’s a flanker of a flanker. It’s divine. And this was an online blind buy.

Love at first sight. The scent is interesting, likeable, definetely Givenchy is a very underrated brand. Price is great, very classy bottle, I might use it even in warm weather however, its clearly a cold weather scent. Imagine being with a sexy elegant lady sharing a nice whiskey during a cold night infront of a classy fireplace. The perfect occasion. Scent: 9.5/10 Cozy and one of my very favs Longevity: 9/10 pretty good Sillage: 7/10 Really wish to get more of it Overall: 8.7/10 very recommended One word to describe: UNDERRATED

This shit is nice, I would describe this as a cozy Mans scent It's almost gourmandish in it's profile but not overly loud or sweet but also has some aromatic freshness at the same time. aromatic warm opening, coffee with sage and mint along with very light touch of some powdery orris. vetiver and woods starts to creep in giving it this elusive freshness to it. Coffee starts to take in this vanillic profile to it as it dries. interesting fragrance worth trying. Made for cooler weather. I love how low key this scent comes off as.

I get dark chocolate in the opening and, paired with the mint, a little bit of 'After Eight' going on! Mmm, lovely stuff 😍 Genuinely beautiful dry down where the chocolate tones turn into iced coffee and the mint flows into a woody vetiver, which stops short of Encre Noir a l'extreme, but is quite noticeable. And I LOVE Encre Noir a l'extreme! There is a floral note throughout which gives this the classic men's scent a la the Gentleman series but this flanker is its own beast. Crackin bit of fragrancing if ever I smelled it!👍

First impressions: Very, VERY similar to the OG. If you didn’t love the OG, you thought it needed to be darkened up a bit - you should try this. If you own the OG, but aren’t crazy about it, might wanna pass on this. I personally was part of the minority because I really enjoyed the original Society (which I’m still convinced there’s a hint of iris in it) and thought it was a good change of pace for the line. This opening is similar to the original while having a stronger vetiver note tone it down a bit. More to come....

I used to like this fragrance... now I love it. creamy & classy. a slightly more mature take on a designer gourmand, yet still suitable for young men. let me say this: do not judge this off the opening!!!! it opens extremely woody, still pleasant imo but VERY different from the drydown! and in my opinion it only gets better as it dries down. seriously, if you've only smelled this in a store for a few seconds before writing it off... you're making a huge mistake. even if you dislike the opening you may love the drydown.

The iced coffee note does not stay as pronounced as the first thirty minutes of its life. But it does hang around balancing out the three different types of vetivers which allows for the balance of iris and the rest of the creamy and woody notes to whip through the fragrance. This is a masterpiece of a designer fragrance. This laughs at blue de Chanel or any YSL designer release. This is full bottle worthy for sure. Projection and longevity are very very good. 9/10

I really enjoy this scent, it's a big masculine for what I go for and very coffee forward, but it dries down less aggressive. I've been searching for a good layer to go with it, so far I've found Cacao Porcelana which really rounds out the coffee and brings out the woody and sweet earthiness the GS has, but it overshadowed by the coffee. Replica By the Fireplace might also be a pairing for GS, as the sweetness from Replica might be more balanced by GS. TBD

!!!!!!! PSA .. Public Service Announcement!!! THIS STUFF IS AUTUMN MAGIC IN A BOTTLE✅. I didn’t realize how magical this was until I got a full day with it in the autumn temps upper 60’s lower 70’s . And it stayed with me all day outside. I actually found it hard to believe it was the same fragrance I applied in the morning. I have a semiHUGE collection and this just moved up to a personal favorite. Trust me when I say that this stuff is VERY pleasant

This is my first Givenchy and I've heard great things, and I understand it, it all works so well. But, the wet state has a weird almost bad smell to it, as soon as it dries its fantastic, but for sure let it dry before you go out. Other than that, the Nutmeg, Sage, and Coffee mix is almost genius, the sage adds such a nice sweet powdery-ness to the spicy tart smell of the coffee and nutmeg, will be buying more Givenchy.

This has a very unique opening. I'm not sure if it's the Narcisus flower or a combination of the top notes, but I get a banana like sweetness and aroma, almost like Ylang Ylang. The drydown reminds me of Givenchy Play Intense exactly. The Vetiver, Coffee, and Vanilla really shine. This is a really nice fragrance. Well blended. Perfect anytime of year except maybe hot weather in summer.

tried a decant of it, it's a very masculine and seductive scent. gives "rich and put together" vibes. Definitely something for the colder days of the year. But can be pulled off in warmer days too i think . smells very sophisticated .Vanilla,with a hint of coffee and wood, vetiver and powdery notes add so much to it. it's amazing, will definitely buy a full bottle. Good pricing too.

Amazing fragrance, the mint and the nutmeg are very pronounced at the opening, orris can be found easily until the woods are predominant after the 3rd-4th hour. The fragrance evolves a lot, complexity is great and you enjoy all the phases it has. This is one of my favorite fragrances in my collection, a 10/10 for me

I don’t know why but I’m getting a little of a licorice hint in the opening and then it dries down to a really good manly woody vanilla scent. The wood gets a little smoother after the earthy coffee opening and lays a smooth layer for the vanilla too vibe on. Also pretty similar to Ralph Lauren Ralph's club parfum

One of my favorite perfumes for men. It's handsome, clean, and delicious with that faint and lingering coffee note. Society Extreme is blended perfectly and so easy to be around. I always notice it and compliment my husband when he wears it. He has most of the Gentleman line and this one is so elegant.

This is quite good. You can smell the coffee(many scents, such as CK Free, list coffee and no one can tell) lol. It reminds me maybe of Pure Coffee by Mugler a tad, or even a Lattafa product. While I said I love it, it is still pretty weak for the sum offered. I would buy it, but that not at full MSRP.

This smells great the entire time. Unfortunately, the dry down becomes very intimate. If the dry down had some sillage I think this would be my signature.. it's a lot less jarring than my Ralphs Club Elixir, but it's just as sexier if not more so. Still 9.9/10. Second favorite fragrance all around.

I love the smell of this fragrance, but projection is poor. I was hoping with it being “Extreme” it would be a projection and performance beast. I’m hoping that it improves after maceration because it would be a shame. If not, it will become an office safe fragrance and not much else.

I have tested most of the new releases this year and this is my favorite, i cant get enough of the gentleman line, the scent is a mix of society and boisee and i think its very modern and beautifully crafted nice sweet iris with woody notes and coffe, i love it.

Mainly nutmeg, coffee and vanilla, with hints of iris. However it is less make up like compared to Gentleman. It is sweet and elegant. However, i prefer regular gentleman and reserve privee over this. Longevity about 8hrs. More for nights and cold weather.

This is one of my favorite fragrances - it’s not extremely unique note-wise, but it’s perfectly blended and well-rounded. That dry-down is addicting - beautiful, almost gourmand vanilla and coffee, but not overly sweet/edible. It smells expensive.

This is a straight banger from the Givenchy house. I really loved the first one, but this one totally eclipses it. Beautifully blended, mass appealing yet very interesting, and I could see it for year round use. Bout to be an office banger for me.

After the spray for about 2 minutes, this smells very similar to Zara Hi-Lo Country which surprised me. I can smell the iris in the one more then the vetivers come along with it. It is a nice fragrance overall but I wouldn't buy it at full price.

I have a 60ml bottle and it smell quite similar to the OG Society however if find this more intense. Sweeter, gourmandish take of the OG. I definitely love this, safe to wear in the office, going our for a date or night out with friends! 9/10

This perfume makes me realize that you don't need to be the loudest person in the room with your perfume. It is perfectly fine to have that French understated elegance that just smells classy. I just love the style of this perfume.

Here we have something between Dior Homme Original and Stronger with you. It's very interesting and sophisticated. The original smells a bit feminine, this one isn't the most masculine fragrance but certainly more suitable for men.
