Givenchy Harvest 2007 Amarige Mimosa

This smells absolutely heavenly! I can smell the mimosa first and foremost in this, followed by a slight citrus and white floral scent from the neroli. I can smell a hint of that mandarin leaf in there too, emphasizing some of that greeness that one finds in mimosa. The woodsy notes aren't prominent to my nose, but seem to make the other notes last longer and emphasize the powderiness and the sweetness of the mimosa. I know that there is no honey in this but it smells like honey is in there and that the mimosa flower has been dipped into this honey. It smells very similar to the original Amarige, but it's not as heady, fruity, white floral or sweet as Amarige. It's still sweet-smelling, though. It also has some similarities to Poeme by Lancôme to my nose. It's like a baby of both Amarige and Poeme to me. This perfume smells very high quality and natural smelling. I can smell the pollen wafting in the air and I can almost imagine the bees pollinating the mimosa tree with this scent. It's just so breath-taking and feminine! Not too mature smelling either. Just a grown up woman scent. The packaging and the bottle are incredibly beautiful, too. I love the little mimosas all over the elegant black box and the bottle itself. The glass bottle and stopper are a gorgeous shape, too. It's very elegant and dainty looking and probably one of the most stunning bottles I have ever seen for a perfume. This perfume has medium sillage and it lasts about 5 hours on my skin. I was so incredibly lucky to FINALLY get this perfume off of Ebay and have it sent to Australia from France, after a previous failed attempt trying to buy it from America. It's such a rare perfume.

Spring in a bottle. Amarige is a gorgeous classic with the dominant narcissus scent surrounded by all yellow and happy glorious spring flowers, but in this Harvest 2007 special edition it has an amplified mimosa note making it so airy, spacious and innocent that I cannot resist it. It has a special feel to it. It's multifaceted and complex, perfectly femme, polite and classy. I must up it from like to love because it's special.

After having purchased the Amarige Harvest 2010 Ylang Ylang I fell in love with it. Now I wonder how the version with the pronounced Mimosa would smell like. Maybe I'll find it on eBay if I'm lucky.

I prefer this version to the original, it is warm & beautiful, I sniff myself all day it makes me happy, great lasting power. It never fails, not a hint of anything synthetic just pure oils <3

I inherited this from my mother, and it's very hard for me to give an unbiased opinion of whether or not I like this personally or would wear it myself, since to me, it just smells like my mom; she wore Amarige in one incarnation or another for most of her life, and Amarige (alongside Estee Lauder's Beautiful) simply smells of her. I find as I get older that my taste in perfume begins to align more with hers, so who knows, maybe I'll be revisiting this scent more often in the years to come. I do enjoy this scent, partially for the memories, and partially for the notes I smell in it. First off, it wafts off of my skin in a way very, very few scents do. I get these waves of warm spiced floral floating through the air around me. I smell mimosa and tuberose, and it's warm and sweet, though not in the vanilla/caramel/fruit way that so many gourmand fragrances are right now. Rather, the sweetness is the same sort you find in summer flowers on a hot day. The floral components are definitely the star of the show, here. I don't get the citrus as strong in this composition as the above note rankings indicate; I smell a strong green/ citrus oil note in the opening, but it softens quite quickly. After it's gotten settled in on my skin, the warm florals dominate and take on a delicate powdery quality. It really is a lovely scent.

Just put this back in its box in the closet after my annual springtime wear. It’s gotten slightly too warm for it but that’s fine- I want to make my precious bottle last as long as possible! Despite its age- it’s in pristine condition- such a quality fragrance. Lasts 12 hours, is even better than the original- which fascinated me as a child but was also slightly terrifying. I would love to have an original Amarige but the new bottles have probably been reformulated to hell and not worth the disappointment. All this to say- these Amarige “Harvests” are some of my most cherished bottles. The way mass designer used to be made- top down elegance, engineered like mad to be seamless. It’s a shame how basically everything has gotten so weak, screechy, tacky and cheap. Clothing, furniture, sadly fragrance too. I love how the brilliant Jack Mason of TPN describes unlocking the final level of perfume addiction- you get all the foul niche crap out of your system and come back to appreciate the older designer stuff and superior to everything else.

(Please excuse- this is a review for Givenchy Harvest Mimosa 2005 (not 2007), because I have nowhere else to put it-) Amarige Harvest Mimosa 2005 is a perfect winter floral for evenings, and I prefer it to the original Amarige. Rather than mimosa, I smell tuberose, honeyed incense, and a tinge of orange blossom- Harvest Mimosa reminds me of Michael Kors, but it has a stronger presence, composition, and staying power.

This is one I treasure, wearing it for special events. Sweet and fragrant. Earthy and powerful.

Wonderful floral. Very sophisticated and noble. The flowers at the opening, and I am gong to think it is momosa, is so fresh and natural I can smell the leaves and the polen just as I were in the garden picking up some flowers. It also smells quite green. Its sweetness is like nectar, polen again. Neroli and mandarin leaves add a clean toch to the bouquet. As times passes the woody notes emerge. Yes, the label says Madarin leaves, Mimosa and precious woods. I want to say cedar, but I am not sure but it is woody alright, and that Makes Amarige mimosa 2007 a little sweeter and in an odd way a bit masculine, too. Perhaps it is just my perception but Mimosa 2007 is not a strong scent, but a very solid one. About 5 to 6 hours later it hasn't diminished its strenth at all, it is just less floral. Now the big issue, can a man pull it off? I might be wrong but I think L'Eau d'Issey is more flowery than this and Midnight in Paris much more feminine also. Amarige mimosa 2007 is a gorgeous fragrance. I thought I smelt this before, but it is my very first amarige. So i went through some samples and stopped with Jour d'Hermes in my hand. I guess there is a bit of A M 2007 in it.

It's a real master piece with mimosa being the star of the composition. And like Jeca said, it's quite similar to the original Amarige, Only draw back is that it's too strong, so could only be limited to special occasions...

In comparison with the Ylang ylang version, this fragrance is much more Amarige (original), sweet and extremely strong.
